When it comes to Mel, I need people to understand that being persuasive and beautiful isn't the same as being manipulative. That, and being ambitious and power-hungry and wanting to make something out of your life isn't inherently evil.

Mel had never actually manipulated anyone. She never actually lied to Jayce or purposefully obscured the truth or misled anyone into a trap. She just really pushed progress as a political agenda. Because she believed in it... She wanted her city to prosper. Which is, you know, an understandable priority as a politician.

And the accidental tenderness of the last moment. You can tell Mel's kind of unsure how to do this kind of soft, sweet, unguarded intimacy, her eyes widen with it, while Jayce just falls into it without any reservations (LITTLE SPOON!!!!!! GAHHHHH!!!!!). Then she lets herself fall into it (I reckon that's why she's mad at Jayce being gone in the morning because this kind of softness isn't something she usually allows).

Also, the backdrop of them against the shimmer and sparkle of hextech looks like they're making love across the whole damn universe, and I think that's BEAUTIFUL.
