ALRIGHT! PULLING OUT THE MAT PAT GLOVES!

I have a theory that for an unknown reason, Storm and Birch's mom had to take them out of the clan, what reason? Idk yet, gotta gather more hidden lore and stuff, but the fact he didn't know what a clan was like, raises some questions in me, like, did he not see apprentices and warriors..? That would only happen if he wasn't in a clan for a while! And I believe his mother likely had been in one, as he mentioned she hadn't told him about them YET. Meaning he knew of them, likely from his mom, and she knew what they were like! There's also the whole thing where he's always had a suffix alongside his prefix of Storm! I don't think the storm from before that likely took em out (Very early on was learned from a previous ask of mine that I was using to gather more info.)

All in all, I think they were from a clan, and his mother had to leave with them, but this only resulted in her and his sibling's deaths.

Theory? I guess? Not really sure where to send this.

In the eye cat's first appearance from Stormy's perspective they 'transformed' into an overhanging tree, with similar stripes to that on their body.

In what appears to be the second appearance the eye cat drops a similarly looking branch on Cliffrun's head (great shot!).

Whilst both are at night, the tree/branch seems like it would be white with dark grey/black stripes in regular daylight. However the eye cat seems to have grey fur.

I think it would be safe to assume that the tree the eye cat turns into and the branch are birches, who can also form eye like patterns with their stripes.

This is also why I'm guessing that the eye cat is related to (or is) Birchkit, Stormy's missing brother.

Both have similar colours and patterns, even if not identical, and it wouldn't be a large leap to assume Birch has blue eyes due to Birch and Stormy's mother having light blue eyes herself.

Ok so I know I don't (for now) post asks that aren't crowasks (trust me i'll get to replying to more soon i'm just waiting a little bit more into the story) BUT Im trying to not scream and yell in happiness rn but your theory is right! And I do have more that I've hidden along the comic, and more that I'll hide in the comic! You have no idea how happy it makes me that people are like paying attention to the comic like this- I'll try not to comment on anything other than stuff that you guys yourselves send me but yeah let the hunts BEGIN
