They’ll pass books back and forth with notes and annotations scrawled all over, going over theories, motifs, tying parts together, just generally loving the art of writing. Both their personal libraries are well loved, books spines with long broken creases and pages with rips from carelessness and coffee stains from late nights.

Vincent’s clothes are stained with different art materials constantly, paints, charcoals, ink, if it can stain then it’s going to be on him in some way. It’ll also be on his friends, somehow. Beatrix’s jacket has charcoal stains on the sleeves, she doesn’t know how, but somehow Vincent managed to get it on them. Quincy’s sweaters always have a little paint on them too. After Vincent dies, neither of them bother trying to get the stains out, they think of it as little reminders of Vincent and pieces of him they can carry with them.
