Something like this is painful to see- the Villa de la Comtesse in Italy deserves to be restored. The owners were very religious so it even has a chapel. Our intrepid explorers said that some of the rooms were so badly deteriorated, they were inaccessible. If you like this stuff, you’ll enjoy this tour.
I know that you can’t take anything, but there’s so much valuable and interesting stuff still in here. Look at the chandelier. I would love the library ladder.
The chapel. Prayer benches, statuary, candle holders, art, and a marble altar. This place is a treasure trove.
Amazing.
It was so grand.
Intact dining room, just needs to be cleaned off. Look at this stuff.
Wow, that’s some packed closet.
Someone needs to at least save some of the furniture before it completely deteriorates.
The ceiling can still be saved.
Must’ve been a bedroom. Look at those cabinets.
Looks like a collection of rocks is in this case.
Wow, look at the this bedroom set. Gorgeous.
So many little treasures around.
This is already destroyed.
This is where the home starts falling apart.
Completely destroyed. Is that a pair of shorts handing above the sink?
The architecture.
The sad truth is that more than likely, no one will restore it. So sad.
