Optional Ingredients to Improve the Quality of Your Slime

Hello! Sorry I haven’t posted in forever, I’ve been very busy. Right now I’ll be sharing a few optional slime ingredients you may or may not already use in your recipes. 

1. Lotion

Many people already use this in their recipes. It makes the slime stretchier, and can be added before adding activator or after.

2. Baby Powder/Corn Starch

This is another common ingredient but not used by everyone. Corn starch is commonly used in clay slime and fluffy slime.  

3. Both Foaming Hand Soap and Liquid Hand Soap

Soap can make your slime bubbly and smell amazing, so I definitely recommend adding in a few pumps of foaming and liquid hand soap. 

4. Baby Oil

Baby oil can make you slime less sticky and more glossy. Baby oil is used a lot for making fluffy slime extra glossy. 

I will make another post about this kind of stuff later today, maybe, but for now, I must go :(

Iceberg slime tutorial:

1. Pour 1 cup of white glue (I use elmers school glue) into a mixing bowl. 2. Now pour in ¼ cup of water. Mix. 3. Add in 3 cups of shaving cream (add more or less depending on how bubbly and crunchy you want the surface of your iceberg slime to be)  4. Now add in food coloring 5. Now add in ½ teaspoon of lotion. Mix. 6. Add in a HEAPING ¼ cup of cornstarch (add in more or less depending on how thick you want the surface of your slime to be.) 7. Add in 3 tablespoons of baby powder. Mix. 8. Add in ¼ cup of foaming hand soap. Mix. 9. Add in your activator. I think it took me about 6-8 teaspoons of activator to get mine to where I wanted it. 10. Now let your slime sit out for 1-3 days (I suggest lightly pressing on it 1-2 times per day until you like the sound of the crunchy bubbles and the thickness of the surface.)  FOR THIS SLIME TO WORK❗️DO NOT PUT A LID ON THE CONTAINER❗️ other wise it will just be a regular slime lol
