there will be lots of similar plot points as the 03 series (like 'tales of leo' and 'good genes' etc etc) but there are also a lot of fundamental changes in the foundation of things too — like the guardians and ninja tribunal and the hamato family line etc etc. content wise tbh its probably mostly just gonna be snapshots of random moments throughout the boys lives, but i do kinda have some plot concepts? so we'll see 👀

Years ago, Oroku Saki defeated Hamato Tang Shen in battle, and finally brought an end to the family that would deny him his power. He ordered her homestead be razed to the ground, and all mystic artifacts to be delivered to him. Particularly, the Hamato’s prized pet tortoise, which was rumored to be itself a conduit for the family’s legendary mystic abilities. With the creature in his possession, along with the new rapid-enhancement chemical he commissioned from laboratory familiar with mystic properties in New York — at last, he would be granted his godhood, and guarantee the legacy of his fathers clan. The Hamatos could deny him no longer. He had won.

Or he would have, had the fools at the lab not ruined everything, the precious mutagen spilling all over the tortoises crate and the fool handlers who carried it. The contaminated men morphed into horrific, animalistic monsters, attacking the scientists and wrecking the laboratory itself. And, most crucially, in the ensuing madness, the crate which contained the tortoise, his last possible connection to the Hamato’s power, lay shattered, and empty…

Meanwhile, Hamato “Splinter” Yoshi, who until this point had quite enjoyed his extended existence as a simple tortoise and family pet, found himself fleeing the eyes and hands of the man who killed his human family, and the lab that granted him this new shift in consciousness, to instead face the terrifying chaos of the streets and alleys of NYC. His transformation into something more bipedal had hurt considerably and left him aching and disoriented, but still he could not pause. He could not falter. Not until he found somewhere safe to hide himself and the four squirming, impossibly small rat-pups in his arms. He hoped the chemical that washed over them had not warped and hurt their young bones as it had his own. He hoped he could find somewhere safe to care for them. He hoped they could survive the night without their mother. He hoped, he prayed he could protect these precious, squeaking, peach-fuzzed ruminants of his family. He did not think he could survive any more loss.

For now, he would do what he could, and slip into the shadows of this city. Having lived so long among ninjas had its benefits there, at least.

-occasionally he wants to wear like punk Rocker style makeup(if you want references I will give) but didn’t want it to look bad so when Casper learned this they offered to do his makeup and it made him really really happy

-he is an absolute menace when it snows 

-he likes to read Caspers comic books and manga. And it’s gotten to a point where he’ll bring it to work so he can read it during break and Caspers just searching their house like  “where the fuck did I put food wars volume 4?”

-this man used to use three in one until Casper found out and dragged him to target  “how do you expect me to love on your hair if you’re going to torture it like this!”

-his little rat noises don’t stop during spicy time. He’s just always like that.  just little squeaks. like NPC sound effects. I don’t even think he’s conscious of doing it

I've been into agere for ages but I don't know much about petre. what kind of things does Niffty like to do when she's in mousey mode? Is it much different from a little headspace?

It's a little different.

It's basically the same with it being a coping method and pet regressors being small. They're just baby animals instead of baby hoomans.

(It's also kinda like age dreaming - because Niffty wasn't really a mouse, so she's not really regressing so much as she has created a safe headspace for herself that happens to be a mouse. In her mind, mice are safe, and being a mouse makes her feel safe and comforted.)

-Like most Agere, She loves cuddling and being petted

-She has special gear! Her mouse ears, tail, and some mouse toys! Alastor got her some Chew toys and created her maze and a jungle gym whenever she needs it.

-She can talk, but she also squeaks! And cherp like a mouse. ^^

-She also loves bells!

-She'll climb on other people also!

-But also, like age regressors, she actually likes coloring, playing with toys, watching comforting movies/shows, and spending time with her caregiver/Handler.

But in the mean time, here’s a little snippet from the draft of my first chapter!

For context, Diego is one of Bruno’s oldest and most loyal rats 🥹🐀

The moment Noelle meets Bruno, draft:

Suddenly Noelle felt a shift with the floor boards, causing her to lose balance and tumble down. She lifted her head up to see a large shadow appear from behind a tacky, red arm chair that towered over them. Noelle covered her eyes startled as she helplessly began to shake.

“Don’t worry chico” Diego placed his paw on Noelle’s shoulder to try and calm her.

“Oh hey mi amigos, I was wondering where you had all gone!” The shadow spoke, his voice soft and containing a slight titter.

She opened her eyes and looked up to see a curious and unkempt looking man kneeling above her.

“Well, who do we have here hey?”

Bruno smiled and slowly rested his hand in front of her. Noelle looked over at Diego who nodded his head reassuringly before she stood up and allowed herself to fall into Bruno’s palm, instantly feeling the warmth of his skin as he gently scooped her up.

“Looks like you’ve had a rough time”

He slouched down in his chair and began trailing his finger across her fur which felt so comforting to Noelle. She couldn’t help but notice he smelt so good too; with hints of sage and sandalwood. He pulled a handkerchief out from his pocket and began to softly wipe the mud off her fur whilst humming to himself. Noelle smiled and closed her eyes as she listened to the sound of his voice which seemed to embrace her with a feeling of peace and safety.

“Wow, rubia! You have very pretty fur hidden under all that mud” Bruno chuckled to himself. “And I bet you’re hungry too?”

Noelle nodded and let out a little squeak in response to Bruno. The other rats began to help themselves to a pile of food that was placed on a table situated next to his chair. Bruno grinned lovingly at his rats as they all began to feast on their dinner. He glanced down at the plate to see there was one piece left and passed it over to Noelle.

“I’m afraid sometimes food can be a little eh…scarce here. But we try and make do” He said, trying to sound a little upbeat. “Here, you can have mine…”

She smiled at his kind gesture and took the baked good from his fingers. She couldn’t help but wonder why he appeared to be living in the walls. As she nibbled on the piece of arepa her eyes began to analysis the room around her. It was full of random odds and ends, make shift lanterns, plants pots and piles of plates. Why did he have so many plates? There were pieces of paper pinned to the wall which appeared to contain painted art pieces of rats in different costumes alongside random doodles. A hammock was seen hooked up behind his chair which Noelle assumed he slept in, due to the lack of a bed. She turned her head as she spotted a little theatre which was placed on top of an old beer barrel behind her. Bruno smiled and pointed towards it, a proud expression forming across his face.

“Heh, that’s our stage for my world famous telenovelas!” he chuckled once again before shrugging his shoulders “well, I guess it’s only really me that actually gets to see them. And these guys too!”

Rats are essentially just mini dogs with little thumb nubs!!

here is a collection of reasons etc of why rats make good emotional support companions!

•they can laugh. no. really, they can squeak when tickled but besides that they make a sound that humans can’t hear thats them laughing!!

•they can be sound or name trained for recall, my boy usually responds to “pUDGyyyy” or “nununununu” if that makes any sense!

•they can play fetch/ bring comfort items to owners in distress, my boy is trained to bring me fidget toys such as tangles or fidget cubes, things he can carry!

•they all have different and unique personalities! this is nice because some ratties are good emotional support in the case they provide physical attention, or show affection by “grooming” this is when a rat licks or “kisses” you!! others are chaos potatoes that are good emotional support by making you laugh and being a destructive little tader!!

•they can play games- like hide and seek, soccer and catch!! my rattie loves hide and seek and also soccer, we use a teeny ball and play!!

•they can share your sad munchies with you!! rats are omnivores so they can eat most of everything!! as long as you keep and eye and only give them exotic foods in little quantities, also a visit to the big great wide web can confirm if your salty human snack is safe for the fragile stomach of a chaos potato

•they are freaking adorable. that’s a reason. soft fur. loving little creatures that thrive from your attention. what could be better!?
