Day 4. My favorite ghost with the most. BEETLEJUICE!!
I love the movie, play and cartoon. The hardest one to draw was the musical one, but they all look good to me.

31 Nights of Halloween Horror: day 15
My choice for yesterday was the hilarious cult classic horror comedy: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Tumblr media
Ok first off this movie was so bad it was great lmao. I'm rating this 8/10. I can't believe I'd never watched this but I laughed so many times. Too many things to name, especially since I'm about to go to bed, but I laughed throughout the entire movie. Really really bad, but it makes it hilarous.

Crispin Hellion Glover in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Tumblr media
Every couple of years something happens in horror media that shakes the genre to it's foundations. Here, a scene comes along that pushes the tone of a film so far in the direction of poor tact that it actually boomerangs back and becomes fucking genius again. There are several instances of this same brilliance in films like Troll 2 where Deborah Reed shatters all concepts of known acting and instead delivers a lunatic storm of bravura and soul shattering side glances as Credence Leonore Gielgud the Stonehenge Goblin Witch. However the apex of tone bending chicanery in the 80s has to be Crispin Glover busting it down sexual style to the demo version of "Love is Lie" by LION in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. The essence of this scene is multifaceted. First, and most obviously, Glover's got what it takes. He's got the touch. The moves on this man are mind blowing. What some may see as the jerking spasms of a fringe maniac can be read, by the discerning genre connoisseur, as art in movement. The rhythmic flailing of America's most effortless Joker cosplayer transcends the scenes seemingly hokey affect with sheer force of will alone. Secondly, the song slaps. Whether you like hair metal or not the track is unquestionably a vibe. Here LION lends the scene a gravitas that any other film would have dashed with the inclusion of an even lesser-known new wave jingle. The visceral feel of the track only further highlights the absolute genius of Glover's skeletal shambling. Finally, the looks on everyone's faces as Glover is dancing are just priceless. The other characters are loving everything that Glover is putting down. You can tell the actors, specifically the girl Glover is dancing with, are actually having fun. In short this scene fucks.

The gang Halloween bash. The theme " couple costumes"
Tammy/jocelyn: cat and mouse. (I just wanted to put Tammy in a cat outfit, because she that bitch)
Josh/Jimmy Jr: ken and Allan. (They saw the Barbie movie, of course there going as these two himbos )
Tina/Zeke: little red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf. (It was Tina's idea for the couple costumes and just wanted to see Zeke with ears )
Becky/Darryl : Fred and Daphne. (Darryl's idea, because you can't tell me this boy, didn't have a Scooby Doo phase when he was a kid and he thought Becky would look cute as Daphne)
Henry/susmita: Peach and Mario. ( these two would make their outfits by hand, instead of getting them in the store. Just for a cute date night)
I hope you all love this drawing and have a great Halloween!!

31 Nights of Halloween Horror: day 27
Oops, I'm for real behind on a post for the first time this month lol. I was busy with Halloween stuff Friday and Saturday, but I DID watch my movies each day, just didn't get a chance to post. Here we are though lol. My choice for Friday was: Five Nights at Freddy's
Tumblr media
I rated this 7/10. I actually liked it more than I was expecting to. Being rated PG-13 it lacks in gore for the kills, but it was still good and a fun watch. I was expecting more jump scares though lol. Josh Hutcherson did fine, and Matthew Lillard was great, but he wasn't in the movie enough! I needed him on screen more. Either way, it was fun and worth a watch.

31 Nights of Halloween: Candyman (1992)
I am Candyman’s biggest fan and he can do no wrong in my eyes. Have I seen any of the sequels? No, cause i feel like it will ruin the perfect ambiance given by the original with cheesy storylines and cash grabs. I must say that the remake did an EXCELLENT job of continuing the storyline and I plan on watching it soon

When Evil Lurks (Cuando Acecha la Maldad)
This Argentine supernatural drama ripped the spirit from my body. I haven't been so demoralized and drained since I saw Hereditary in 2018. Yes, Demián Rugna's follow up to 2017's Terrified is a visceral watch. There are plenty of shocking scenes for splatter aficionadoes to relish. However, Rugna's take on the possession genre is, at it's core, a familial tragedy. Where Hereditary displays the pain and trauma of being a mother, a daughter, and a wife, When Evil Lurks illustrates, with brutal and moody efficacy, the tribulations of the father, son, husband, and brother. I wholeheartedly recommend When Evil Lurks for anyone who has the constitution to withstand Rugna's chaotic nightmare chronicle of loss, fear, and failure.
