Bands/Singers I listen to

I don’t have a constant genre.

But If I had to answer that one specific question that is ‘’ What genre do you listen to ‘’

i’d say a mix of grunge, punk , indie-rock, slowcore ,soft guitar notes , surf noir, indie dark electric, low-budged, lo-fi, vhs inspired , industrial punk/goth, Witchhouse and post-hardcore.

Basically, anything that isn’t mainstream, and hidden / sub-genres (?)

Although I do enjoy a fair share of popular songs and singers and some even include indie-pop.

When I long for some sushi, I make the trip to the nearby Sushi Express (爭鮮) to satisfy my craving. As I sit patiently watching plate after plate scrolled pass in front of me and snatching up anything of fancy to me. I love the chewy flesh of the Artic Surf Clam with its bright red “tongue” or foot of the mollusk. This Shrimp with Sea Urchin Sushi also got taken from the rotating conveyor belt as I was hungry.

Next up was the Cooked Scallop Sushi as I just love them. Brushed with some savoury sauce, they were quickly stuffed into my mouth. The raw succulent and crystal-like flesh of these Glass Shrimps were fresh and sweet.

A special item for that day was this Aburi Silver Cod with Uni Sauce. I think this one cost S$3 apiece instead of the usual S$1.50 a plate but I still polished off two. Warm sweet cod with a dollop of sea urchin roe doing their magic dance inside the mouth.

The differences between these two sushi was that you get two pieces for the normal Salmon Sushi but just one for the Jumbo Salmon. The later also has more fat so it tasted a little better and has more fish to rice ratio.

Unagi Sushi is another favourite of mine. The sweet freshwater eel is grilled with sweet sauce which just tasted so yummy. Grilled Salmon Belly Sushi is another must eat item although it is cheaper if you just buy them off their takeaway shop as it cost only S$0.50 per piece compare to the S$1.50 a plate when you dine-in.

Took a plate of the Salmon Sashimi off the belt as I watched eagerly for any interesting sushi to move into my line of sight. As I spotted the Caramelized Salmon Sushi moving into my direction, there is no chance it will sneak pass me. :D This one seems to be brushed with some sweet jam before being seared.

As my tummy got filled up, I grabbed the Ikura Gunkan and popped it one by one into my mouth enjoying the bursts of saltiness. These Seasoned Octopus was easy on the teeth unlike their bigger cousins which can be a little chewy.

And to end the meal, a slice of the Blueberry Cheesecake to sweeten the deal. Had I know that the next cake I took off the belt was Banana Cake, I would not have touched it as I do not like banana. Time to stop and let the staff count the number of plates and make payment.
