such a weird mix of un-nameable feelings to, for the first times in ages, listen to contemporary christian music i used to listen to on CD when i was a kid...

not like hillsong CCM. more like amy grant, michael w smith, bebe & cece winans. 80s stuff mainly, maybe 90s. my parent's collection was old even when i was born lol. this may explain some things about my affinity for 'cheesy' 80s style production lol

this was the kind of christian pop which had lots of songs that were unclear whether they were a song about loving God or a significant other.

idk. is this self harm or nostalgia. maybe both but it doesn't feel as bad as it should somehow. much of the music still bops tbh. but man...feelings.
