Temptress
I know many women this has happened to.
Not only in the church but in businesses, schools, the arts, and other institutions.
In my opinion, this is a misogyny issue that religion weaponizes with beliefs.
Women suffer assault on so many levels, then often must suffer in silence.
Because they know they will not be believed and in fact will be blamed.
Men: that's on us!

I personally agree with that sentence. Rape and sexual assault is nothing to play with. He needs to be registered as a sex offender and required to stay away from venues where there are children. Black women have went to bat for Black men, protesting the murders of unarmed Black men all over this country and nation….however I don’t see enough Black men being outraged by sexual assault and rape against Black women and girls and that’s concerning. This is as important as the BLM ✊🏾 movement. Fight for Black women and girls. And the thirsty women up on this thread supporting him you sound ridiculous. I see him for what he is a RAPIST.
and Now that he locked up facing his sentence ,everyone who covered up his disgusting actions need to be locked up too. ALL his body guards need to get locked up, his barber, his housekeeper, his maids, his butlers, the parents who sold out their children and let them be abused, ALL OF THEM! Cuz they all knew and I'm sure SEEN what was happening and aint say a damn thing! “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do NOTHING.” ― Edmund Burke
These women survivors are courageous to tell their story after the threats and public shaming!! I applaud you ...R Kelly is a SICK MONSTER!!!! why did it take so long for him to get a real prosecution? simple: black women voices especially when they are victims of unspeakable abuse aren’t heard until social media platforms, public outrage and pressure makes the nation has no choice but to hear them. if all it takes for black women and girls who been abused to be seen and heard thanks to documentaries and outcry then color me pissed off and yet thankful to God
The same conversation you have with your daughters about consent is the SAME conversation you should be having with your sons. The time you are teaching your daughter to avoid being a victim of a rape, use that same amount of time to educate your sons not to be a rapist

"In early 2017, my husband] and I were surprised but excited to learn I was pregnant. Our surprise quickly turned to disappointment, however, when, despite my high pregnancy hormone (HCG) levels, the doctor was unable to find a heartbeat or fetal pole. She suspected an anembryonic pregnancy, in which the fetus just fails to develop, but wasn't able to rule out an ectopic pregnancy, in which a pregnancy develops in a fallopian tube. Because this latter kind of pregnancy can be fatal and is never viable, she recommended that I take a chemotherapy drug, methotrexate, that dissolves ectopic pregnancies.
I was sad, but since she assured me that there was no way the pregnancy was viable, I accepted her recommendation and received an injection of methotrexate. Then, when my HCG levels didn't fall adequately, I received another.
Fast forward to last week, when my HCG levels unexpectedly went up. To my shock, an ultrasound revealed a 16-to-18-week-old intrauterine pregnancy. No one understands why my first doctor couldn't see it on the ultrasound; the perinatologist thinks it was just a bad image.
The pregnancy is no longer viable because of the two large doses of methotrexate the fetus received. I'm waiting for a call to schedule a D&E. I tell you this for two reasons: first, if I'm not doing a good job of answering emails right now, that's why. Second, I want you to know that I've discovered (too late) that methotrexate is overprescribed, and that there exists a large number of women who have taken methotrexate injections only to discover that they had a viable intrauterine pregnancy. If a doctor suspects you have an ectopic pregnancy, *insist on positive proof* before you take methotrexate. Please tell other expectant mothers you know. And believe women. I had encountered these stories in my research before taking the drug, but dismissed them as wishful thinking from people who wanted to think their pregnancies were viable. Believe women."
~KAE's colleague who initially posted this on Facebook asked that it be shared anonymously. This case illustrates the argument of yesterday's article: according to experts, there is low risk in waiting a few days in a stable patient suspected of having an ectopic pregnancy, in order to try again to locate the embryo with ultrasound.

In a way, Qin Su's a lot like Lady Macduff. Lady Macduff also only exists for one brief scene before being viciously murdered for the sole purpose of harming her husband--both in-universe (Macbeth orders Macduff's family killed in retribution for Macduff rebelling against him) and narratively (guilt and grief over the loss of his family motivates Macduff to kill Macbeth). We know next to nothing about Lady Macduff, but she has so much PERSONALITY in those few minutes that she leaves an impact on the audience.
Qin Su also only exists for one brief scene, and also dies for the sole purpose of harming her husband both in-universe (Nie Huaisang may not have set out intending to kill her, but he sure didn't object to it) and narratively (Qin Su is but one entry in Jin Guangyao's List Of Crimes that doubles as a List Of Personal Tragedies), and also makes a lasting impact, except! Except.
Whereas we know more about Qin Su's backstory and her relationship with Jin Guangyao than we do about Lady Macduff's backstory and relationship with Macduff (Qin Su has her own name, for starters!), Lady Macduff's fridging pans out in the more traditional sense. Macduff's reaction to her death is the emotional centerpiece of the scene in which it occurs and is one of the most impactful moments of the entire play, even though the play is called Macbeth and Macduff himself appears in only two scenes beforehand. His handful of appearances after this moment are all about his now deeply personal hatred of Macbeth. ("If thou be'st slain and with no stroke of mine, my wife and children's ghosts shall haunt me still.")
Qin Su doesn't even get the dignity of that! The centerpiece of the scene in which she dies has nothing to do with her or even with her husband: it's Wangxian's grand romantic gesture on the stairs, followed by Wei Wuxian drawing Suibian. She stabs herself and she comes in THIRD. And forget about her having lasting impact! Lasting impact for female characters is reserved for Jiang Yanli and even she's on thin ice!
Just!!!!!! This is why it's important to me that Jin Guangyao weeping over her corpse is genuine and isn't just a Clever Ruse(TM) to dodge suspicion: though Jin Ling and Jiang Cheng certainly should have a response and fic authors who explore that are doing the Lord's work, Jin Guangyao is literally THE ONLY ONE who expresses any sort of emotion about Qin Su beyond "damn, that's crazy!", and I NEED FOR SOMEONE TO CARE.

Finally, a legitimate news source calling out this situation for what it is.
It’s fascinating to hear the media use the evidence and language we ourselves in this fandom have been using in defense of Armie Hammer on social media. Holding this two-year long vigil may finally have opened the eyes that needed to see this situation for exactly what it is.
Armie Hammer is the victim of defamation by opportunists perverting the original intentions of #metoo and #believewomen in the virtual town square for their own selfish, nefarious purposes by exploiting those among the general public who love nothing more than to throw a rich and famous man with perceived privileges under the nearest bus, just because they can.
The perversion of #MeToo in the name of faux-militant feminist ideology is driving this popular online movement of indicting and condemning famous men in the court of public opinion without legitimate evidence of criminal wrongdoing, without the presumption of innocence, without due process, and without the possibility of redemption in any form.
Hammer’s accusers, as well as his ex-wife, recognized the window of opportunity presenting itself in the post-Weinstein zeitgeist, and climbed right in, in the search for the 15 minutes of internet fame to which they assumed they were guaranteed, and to which they felt wholly entitled, by any means necessary.
All it takes is one biased source with a fragile ego and a personal vendetta using gullible people mindlessly consuming internet content without due diligence or critical thinking skills to accept their even marginally plausible lies as if they were facts and spreading them like wildfire about their target on the internet. All the better for instant believability without the requirements of facts and evidence, if their lies come spewing forth from Instagram-ready, artificially-enhanced, telegenic faces.
People really are that simple. And the rush to judgment is what makes the internet go ‘round, after all.
We must aim to be more mindful and responsible consumers and creators of content on social media, lest we end up eating ourselves, as a functional and civil society.
Enough already.
