Because practically every single post is about Max. Full on fan behaviour, in the sense she was his first fan as his childhood friend, she has been there supporting him since they were kids, and now they're adults and together, but some habits doesn't change.

ok another headcanon and is from my ultimate comfort favs:

When demo got first hired by pauling he was like very shy and introverted at some point where everyone wasn’t like… that conjoined and besties as how they are now. And i feel like he got a pretty rough time to even start to talk with his teammates or get a tiny friendship with them.

And he often times was very threatened by small lady in glasses that liked to be strict with them in their first day since… it was business only ofc

but by the time when pauling got a bit more soft with them, and got also a bit friendly with demo i feel like at some point he started to develop a tiny crush with her since she was the one who often talks more with, and i have this other hc that also he would fell easily with people that befriends him (not like anyone of course it really does depends the person for him)

so you know pauling it’s nerdy and a bit sensitive (she cries very easily) and she is very friendly or a bit more extrovert if she gets to, but like in a sense where she is more ambivert too. uhhh idk she is just talkative with people if you get her chance where she’s not busy and will tell you to go to hell. rough lady

and he liked that! i think he thought they both shared some stuffs along and can infodump their love for guns and for the work they are in and then if they can go a bit personal with some drinks and he liked that he could share this stuffs with her all chill and cool

but i feel like he just had this side secret crush with her and stopped those want to be romantic feelings because he really saw she is not like, up to those stuffs, she is so focused on work and also stressed and depressed like him and he could just understand that she just only want someone to listen to her but she will not like, pay that much attention about romantic relationships and he could completely understand that once he get to know her more deeply. and he just couldn’t do that to the one who also considered a friend and he probably guessed she will not feel the same for him but that didn’t like hurt him and is not like he ever confessed to her. he just had those secret feelings for her for a time and then realized she was not really like the one for him to be in a relationship

and that’s where i thought of him now having a more soft spot for her and caring her like a sister (not like literally but in a familiar soft spot sense, but that’s ofc his friend)

so yeah idk 👍

hmm oh man no one has really asked this before... i think as a disclaimer i need to say that im pretty bad at replying to asks, and half of them get ignored and deleted because i either forget about them and get too anxious to reply, or just don't know how to reply and never do.

i dont really do art requests, so if anyone sends one it will most likely be ignored, and if its not related to what im posting it'll be ignored 100%. there are some exceptions of it, but i still don't appreciate people asking me to draw anything for free. i suppose i don't mind questions about stuff outside of my work! no one really asks anything so i don't have a good example of it, plus it all really depends on the context, but if its good I'll reply and if its something i dont like I'll just ignore it. so, same as with everything i guess, so those are okay 👍

about headcanons hmmm... not sure? i dont know how to properly reply to them if its not something im into apart from "oh thats interesting" and "nice". like, i don't really wanna say stuff like "that cool but i personally think that you're wrong and here are the reasons--" and take someone's headcanon apart? it just feels rude? even if i do process the headcanon in my brain and there's a thought process of how it fits or doesn't fit into my beliefs, i don't really want to say it out lound to not upset anyone? but saying all this, it is still nice to see headcanons from different people and different perspectives, to have some variety of views and opinions and more diversity. because you never know what you might like. so, i think all headcanons are good, if i know how to reply to them i will, and if i don't then i won't!

how many asks am i comfortable receiving umm, well, i don't have an exact number picked hsghd. i guess as many as you want if you really have a lot to ask? i do appreciate it when people keep asks topical tho. so, if you're asking about one particular thing, it'd be nice if it was all in one ask that is easy to reply to. and if you're asking about multiple different things it's better to send multiple short asks instead of a big one. because its hard to reply to billion unrelated questions in one post. so for example your ask is good because all the questions are on the same subject, but if you asked me about the weather halfway through and then swithed to an ask about jrwi, that i wouldn't reply to, yknow?

for other things... i already said about the art requests, which are like the main thing i really don't like. i guess some things are better asked in dm's than asks, if that's anything? especially if it's something more personal to you or requires an actual dialog, but i can see why it might be easier to send an ask first and move to dm's later, so its not a problem. hmmmm and i suppose just the general stuff, like don't send suggestive asks if i don't know you or you weren't clearly prompted to, don't be mean to me or others, even as a joke it doesn't feel good, remember that im just a random guy on the internet, im not a robot i have feelings, so talk to me like a person, don't spam the same question if i didn't answer it, etc.

yeah tbh i don't have a very confident idea on what it means... i guess i've got a few possible ideas as to what it could signify but... again, i'm not confident in them so do with these what you will 👍!

also this is kinda long and rambly lol oopsie daisy...

it could represent John having been just born (as he directly refers to himself in the song as "a newborn" and also talks about how he was "born" only very recently in Neoplasm). now if this was meant to mean this, I would think they would have used the crying of a newborn baby to represent it since they cry when they're born, not laugh. which the audio seems to contain laughing, not crying. and newborns cannot laugh yet, only cry. so maybe instead of having just been born it's meant to allude to the fact that he's very very young.

i REALLY need to actually sit my ass down and read those long ass tarot card analysis posts for MeMe because i haven't really read any yet because i suffer from Cannot Fucking Sit Down And Focus To Read Giant Paragraphs Of Words disorder... which is ironic because i love rambling and making long posts. as you can see.

but anyway. maybe he split to deal with the stress leading up to it. or maybe he split to deal with the stress of the murder(s) having already happened and to take the responsibility even if he didn't actually kill anyone. it's not uncommon at all for an alter to split afterwards to take on the aspects of a trauma that can't be accepted.

for example- if Mikoto is the murderer, maybe John split to be someone who did want to murder the victim(s) and to be someone who doesn't feel any guilt over having done it. and then the other characteristics to his personality are to support this: unapologetic, doesn't take any shit, fine with being violent to protect himself and others, doesn't feel bad about rebelling, etc. hell, he could even legit believe he was the murderer depending on how far his role to take responsibility for it goes.

if John is the one shown mostly in Double (because there's certain imagery to suggest that maybe he isn't there for a lot of it. but also imagery to suggest he is. i hate it here my brain is too small for this), he may have not actually done the murder(s). if the inside of the train represents the subjective reality (not the objective reality) of what happened, so how John sees it, then that could be why he's doing the "killing" on the train even though we know the confirmed murder happened outside the train station. he's there to be the murderer, even if he may have not actually done it. and why we see mannequin pieces flying outside the train, where the murder occurred, as he swings from inside the train.

ok i had another explanation but i cant seem to figure out how to word it... and also it's more to me like a "oh, an interesting nod to this thing maybe..." and less an actual theory.

Hello! First of all I love your blog. I hope it's alright to ask you, as I don't know who else to turn to for this:

Do you think typical tone tags (with the slash and not spelled fully) are accessible to people with screen readers? Is the audio output generally harder to decipher than shortened tone tags are to visually read?

I haven't had to use them on my blog yet, but I might need to specify the tone at some point if it's ever particularly unclear. Do you have any tips on trying to reconcile accessibility for everyone?

Also… I sometimes use old-style emoticons, it's a typing style I find difficult to let go of, but I always write what it's supposed to represent in square brackets afterwards cause I know screen readers would just output "semicolon, closed parenthesis" and make zero sense to anyone. Do you think this method is more, less, or equally as accessible as just using a winking emoji (which would output "winking face emoji" I'm guessing)? I know using neither would be the top choice, but sometimes it feels appropriate to include a facial expression. Thanks for your time.

I'd say tone tags probably aren't the most accessible since they're going to be read out as phonetically as possible (also, many screen readers won't read the "slash"). There are also accessibility issues with them outside of that in the sense that not everyone knows what they mean, and that can create more confusion than clarity sometimes. If I have to stare at "could you please tag this next time? /nm" for a solid minute trying to figure out why someone asked me to tag something and then immediately told me "never mind," it's not the most efficient tool.

But at the end of the day, tone indicators are also an accessibility tool themselves. And they really help some people! So you could always try a happy medium with "could you please tag this next time? (not mad)" instead. That will generally convey your message more clearly to most people, screen reader user or not.

As for old style emoticons, that's a bit tricky. There are some screen readers, like VoiceOver, that will read :) as "smiley." Others, like JAWS, will read it either as "colon right paren" or just not read it at all, depending on what you have the verbosity settings at. But once you get more complicated than a smiley face or maybe a frowny face, you're getting a literal reading a best. Every screen reader I've tried can read all emojis just fine, but I'm told that's not universal either, so some people like to do a plain text version after, like this 👍 (thumbs up emoji).

Also fun fact, with VoiceOver at least, it doesn't read 😉 as "winking face emoji," it's just "winking face."

So all that said, I'm personally a big fan of emojis, especially as tone indicators, because they save me and my friends so much stress when talking to each other (for example "alright" could mean they're mad, but if you add a smiley after it, there is no way to overthink it.)

I’m an Aria fictive, who split prior to Strive when the fandom still thought Jack-O became me. I don’t exactly bring it up a lot because of this, I worry people will think I don’t like Jack-O even though for me we’re two halves of the same person. I wouldn't get the impression that you hated Jack-O' because of it, anyway. Usually when people don't like her they're very... blunt about it lol

Fine whatever. Here's my funny hcs for elec snake and plant bc those r the bots I want carnally. Haven't written anything like this in actual Years so it might be a bit rough 👍 just enjoy them ig

Again this is like.... All based on the idea they can eat and get sick and etc. Just because. Wouldn't it be funny if this weird metal guy could eat and burp.

Snake

Cold, pragmatic and cynical. This guy isn't ashamed of most bodily functions, and rarely apologizes after a loud belch.

Well, actually, it depends on the company - if he's among friends, people he's comfortable with, he won't bother covering them up at all. If he's among people he doesn't know very well, he'll apologize politely about it. Still lets them out, sure, but he's not a complete jackass.

His stomach is tough, what with his diet consisting of whatever the fuck he can survive on while working. I'm convinced it can eat through steel, if it has to. Very hard to upset, but not impossible.

Due to being snake themed, he should be able to eat quite a lot. Not like, a cartoonish amount of food that leaves behind an unrealistic bulge, but he'll go for thirds and fourths - maybe fifths - on a good day.

And when he's full, his belly gets *loud*. Like, "drowning out a movie if the volume is low enough" loud. He thinks nothing of it - he's not ashamed or proud, it's natural. Belly rubs after eating can churn out even louder gurgles, making him chuckle softly. He has to admit they're quite amusing.

Snake also takes the longest to notice something's wrong with his guts. Usually, he's so focused on his job that everything else gets tuned out - it takes an especially sharp pain to snap him back into reality.

If he's unwell, it's unusual for him to keep working. "Working through it" is useless to him, since he can't focus on a mission at all. He knows better than to let himself suffer for something that isn't worth it. This also means he won't mourn for a day lost in bed or hovering over the toilet - it wouldn't help anyone to walk around sick and bloated.

Won't hesitate to ask for help, but only if he needs to. He won't turn down an offer for tummy rubs, but he'll only actively seek them out if he can't take care of himself.

Likes cuddles and general warmth, especially after a particularly large meal. Again, snake themed and all. It helps him digest, and lulls him into a comfortable, sated sleep.

He doesn't show it because it's not in his nature, but he likes to be pampered. A lot.

Plant

Oh so shy and sweet… This guy will turn beet red if his stomach so much as burbles when he's with company, so you can imagine how embarrassing burping is for him.

Plant man can be described as a "reverse vegan", i guess. As in, he'll only eat animal-based foods - like meat, milk, and eggs. Literally just because it'd be funny as fuck. His stomach is very active after any meal, which embarrasses him even more.

Due to his diet, he gets full and sleepy fast. All those steaks will make your stomach work overtime, sapping your energy all at once.

Has to take a nap after lunch, or else he'd lose an entire day's work. It's easy to get him bloated and burpy if his meal hasn't had time to digest properly, and his mood tends to sour when he's sick without relief - overall, not a good situation for anyone involved.

His stomach is more delicate than Snake's, but still pretty tough. He'll handle dairy and heavier meals well, if only for the energy drop mentioned earlier.

Still, he's a picky eater, and prefers his food prepared in a specific way. Not that he'll complain if he has to eat something different (as long as it follows his dietary restrictions), since he doesn't want to be rude. His stomach will clench and gurgle around the dishes it's not used to, however - serving only to embarrass him for not speaking up.

Honestly, Plant is quite needy. If he's with someone that's earned his trust, he'll ask them to rub his stomach to help it process all the heavy food he's eaten throughout the day.

If he's feeling sick, he'll still try to force himself to work - his garden needs him, after all. But, as mentioned previously, he doesn't last long in the field with a bellyache.

If you try talking him out of work, he might snap at first, but don't hold it against him. Feeling off in any sort of way makes him annoyed and exhausted, he needs to be handled with care. It doesn't take long to convince him to rest, as long as you promise someone else will take care of his duties. Once he's feeling better, he'll apologize profusely for being a jerk.

He loves cuddles when sick, in fact, he needs it. Feeling safe, warm and comfortable helps him relax, making it easier for his stomach to do what it needs to. Likes being the little spoon, but also cuddling belly to belly, so to speak. It warms his tummy and feels great.

His stomach is not the noisiest, but the gurgles are wetter, whinier. You can hear liquid, sloshy burbles if you were to press your ear to his belly, since it looks and works a lot like a pitcher plant. It's so wet and humid in there…

Elec

Oh, delicate stomach, through and through. Also has a noisy stomach that makes him gassy and bloated when upset, and is extremely embarrassed to betray his image because of some tummy trouble.

He's very picky about his meals, and rarely ever eats something that might upset his insides. He likes to play it safe with comfort foods, but that luxury isn't always viable.

He'll work himself to death before skipping work, though. His role in power plants is genuinely important, and he knows his absence will affect the workplace. No - if he's needed, he'll be there. His stomach can whine and gurgle all it wants, he'd rather embarrass himself.

Of course, it's not always his decision. He's gotten bellyaches that left him immobilized before. All because he didn't allow himself to lay down and rest, and now the pain is 20 times worse than before. Hes had to be carried out, bridal style, multiple times. He doesn't like remembering those instances in the slightest.

Prefers taking medicine instead of seeking help, and will often downplay his symptoms before accepting any. Stubborn and self centered bastard he is. Of course, if you poke and prod enough, he'll eventually resign.

He says it's only to shut you up, but honestly, he does like being taken care of. It's funny, you'd expect him to love the attention, but he's pretty meek under the magnifying lens of a caretaker. Let the man keep some dignity, please. Not that he's ever had any.

Once you've got him right where you want him - head on your lap, little spoon, head on his chest as you massage his stomach - he calms down. He forgets just how good it feels to be held in this manner, but his pride always gets the best of him.

His stomach pains can get pretty severe, as you've probably guessed. He's woken up to the feeling of being stabbed in his guts before, after going to sleep with an upset stomach.

His burps are airy and strained, sounding like he's getting little to no relief from them. With patience and care, you can knead some longer, more productive bubbles from the depths of his stomach, but the organ can be just as stubborn as the person it's attached to.

His stomach isn't very loud, not usually. Little burbles and whines are all you'll hear, and if it's upset, the noises will only really ramp up in volume, but not change all that much otherwise.

- holding back from ranting abt daniil so im just posting my fave parts of the conversation with him because like. I do love the different tones you can use

- i completely skipped and missed the Kin quest so I couldn’t save them from the termitary??? and aspity died because uh yeah. destroyed the polyhedron, the earth bleeding etc etc,,, there really cant be a good ending for both the town and the kin, which is p cool but also man I am pissed that I missed that quest, so I’ll have to,,, play the entire thing again. at some point.

it’s cool that’s all I have to say about it, I already remembered p well the video by Codex Entry about it so it was nothing new or surprising, but I still enjoyed walking around the town and using the snappy Bachelor responses, as well as the last conversation with the Executor, as well as the little sidequest where the tragedian tells you to have heart and you literally bring them an heart. town jester moment

anyway incredible game, 10/10, I could never recommend it to anyone, I had a shit time going through it, and yet it was one of the most immersive stories I’ve played. I will probably play it once more in the future, but for now I’ll be waiting and crossing my fingers for the Bachelor route

Now, Xmas horror recs: the Black Christmasses (1974-one of the best slashers of all time, no queston, but very. much a bad vibes movie so might be best to wait to watch until you're in the mood for that; 2006-silly goofy gorefest remake, iconic cast, tonally the most streamlined but makes a lot of wild swings thay can. be offputting to some; 2019-controversial for its weird handling of politics/PG-13 rating &, to me, the weakest of the 3, but not completely without merit like some people discuss it as), To All A Goodnight + Christmas Evil 1980/Silent Night, Deadly Night + Silent Night 2012/Santa's Slay/Christmas Bloody Christmas (all varying in quality, but probably the best selection if you want slashers where the killer is. Santa/is dressed as Santa), Curtains 1983 (not really "Xmas," but the winter vibes are immaculate. & it is by far one of THE best, most underrated slashers; must go in as blind as possible), the aforementioned It's A Wonderful Knife (I know several didn't like it cause it skews in a more comedic direction, but I got a lot out of it + it's superrrr gay), Gremlins (arguable on this fully. classifying as "horror," but a PG rating in the 80s got away with a lotttt more than it does now + it has very similar vibes to Krampus), & Inside 2007 (less full-blown Xmassy as much as it is a veryyyy violent movie that happens to be set around the time; does not. miss with the gore, but it is absolutey visceral). There are others, but I wanted to try to limit it cause I've already gone on long enough lolllll. And, because it's already that time for me: Merry Christmas. 🥰🎄

He feels much different between 5 and 6, and I think it hurts his character a lot. also how does the dude keep getting up after have his shit rocked several times😭 like it felt comical that we basically saw his death scene and then “he’s alive!” Like… huh

I’ve been doing digital art for a few months now. I’m still not good at it, but it’s such a big switch from traditional to digital. I used to be a fiend for traditional art, then I got an iPad months ago for my bday and for classes for more advanced notes and all, but I figured that the opportunity was there for me to learn, so why not pick up a new skill? Oh, if it was up to him, I could see wally forgoing any clothes at all because he really has nothing to be ashamed of. But you know, other ghosts could see him, so he wears the bare minimum. (Unless we’re talking another AU👀)

OMG TYSM🥹 this is too sweet and I’ll definitely be watching some today after Christmas festivities are over.
