Finally, someone said it. I have very strong opinions about The Boy Who Cried Wolf and how it's not his fault he got eaten by a wolf, it's his parents' fault for assuming this literal child lied the third time just because he lied the first two times. They were too lazy to go check if there was actually a wolf and it got that child killed. It doesn't matter if he lied, he's a child, protecting him is his parents entire job.

forever and always thinking about the tragedy that is Conner Bailey stuck in his sister’s shadow. In the otherworld he could never be as good as her. Not for a moment, not for a second, not ever. In the land of stories she’s the fairy godmother and he’s just… there. Is he still important overall, to the story, to Alex, to his friends, to the people they help? YES, OF COURSE. but not when compared to her. Not when she’s the one on the pedestal. But with her in the land of stories and him in the otherworld, he gets to be someone— he gets to be an author. But more than that, he gets to be Conner, and for once it’s not something to be ashamed of.
on that note, forever and always thinking about the tragedy that is Alex Bailey stuck in a world that she cannot love because it did not love her first. She was so afraid of failing in the otherworld, because there success is defined by a letter or a number— your grades, how many people like you, how many posts you have, how much money you make. It’s not about who she is or who she tries to be or how much she cares. In the land of stories, she gets to care without being ridiculed for it. She gets to care and the outcome is that someone else’s life is better for it.
So no. I don’t think they could ever exist in the same world indefinitely. I think they need to live two separate lives and meet up whenever possible. And that is why the series ends so perfectly. They can still see each other. They can still be together. But they are two sides of the same coin: one cannot exist without the other, but they can never be the same if they are always compared.

you know in booktok when people say ‘*author* basically raised me’ ?? well i have that, but its kinda weird. obviously rick riordan, cause his books were the ones that made me realize how much i loved reading. then chris colfer, cause he’s a genius and when i read them for the first time i just fell for every single character. little me who loved disney movies loved tlos just as much. then there’s james riley, and that’s the weird thing. i never read one of his books completely. i read the first 100 pages of half upon a time but i never finished it. and i started story thieves but also dropped it. and somehow, still, i feel such a connection to his books and the way he writes. i used to reread story thieves all the time, but i have never read the end. never. and i have no idea why. i just dropped it every time.

So the best alternate universe for the batfam is, the clonebaby au in my humble opinion. Definitely not because I've litterally written a fic...
So this is a Timkon trope, based on canon! When Kon died Tim had recently lost a lot of people, and as a way to cope with his grief tried to clone his best friend. None of his attempts to clone Kon worked in canon.
So basically this trope is when Tim adds his own DNA, and it works. And he ends up with baby thats comprised of his and Kon's DNA. The amazing things about these pictures that they are always a sice into Tims grief, and how he handles now having a clonebaby! Just chefs kiss to this trope, and if you write it your awesome.

(SPOILERS FOR THE LAND OF STORIES) okay so sorta outing myself as a Land Of Stories fan, but who cares the it’s a great book series. So we all know the potion that can make any work of fiction real, and this potion worked on greek mythology. Greek mythology isn’t collectively seen as fiction though, majority does, but accent Greeks, and some people nowadays, see it as real. This is the same as the bible. Not everyone sees it at nonfiction, some see it as completely fiction. Would the potion work on the bible???? Could have the masked man got fucking God on his side???

Remember when Bree Campbell ran away from a school trip in a foreign country, broke multiple laws, entered a portal to another universe that she literally just found out existed, and fought in a war she would have had nothing to do with if she minded her freaking business, all for a boy she wasn’t even dating yet

“There she is,” Conner said with a happy sigh. “Where is it? Do you see it already?” “I’m not talking about the yellow brick road, I’m talking about you.” Conner laughed. “It’s nice to see you excited about something again. I’ve missed it.”
