Almost done with Masters of the Air by Donald Miller.

Reading a hockey romance that isn't too good but fulfills one of the prompts for the 2024 PopSugar Reading Challenge.

I'm rereading and commenting on the Pulling Heartbreak Out of Hats series by ReallyLilyReally over on A03. It's a Winters/Talbert/Nixon OT3 fic, and I can't recommend it enough.

Stuff I've Been Watching:

Masters of the Air. I have opinions. Not enough ground crew. Not enough women. Love Rosie and still love Harry, too. It's not his fault. I feel like the pacing is off and I have no idea how they are going to wrap everything up with only two more episodes.

Started Feud: Capote Versus the Swans. I am not caught up, but I have read all about "La Cote Basque" and the backlash after its publication, so it's been great to see it on screen.

Stuff I've Been Making

I created a new OFC, Patsy Harangody, for the Blind Dates OC Fest right before Valentine's Day. I'm really proud how it turned out, and I can tell the difference in my writing since I started back over the summer. I love her, so look out for more and feel free to send in prompts for her.

Every Beautiful Thing Chapter 9 is coming along slowly but steadily. I can't believe it was December since I last updated the fic, but real life has gotten in the way. I feel like I might be able to finally catch my breath a bit since the beginning of the year (knock on wood).

I'm also planning an OFC for MotA. More soon, I hope.

I have a variety of hockey cards for sale if anyone is interested! Some are older players from the 90s, some are more recent ones. Since they can fit into letter-sized envelopes, I’m selling them for a small amount (mainly just to cover postage and envelopes, especially for those out of Canada). This can be paid through my Ko-Fi (via Paypal), and I’ll give the link for those interested.

Cost depends on where you live (i.e. in Canada or elsewhere), how many cards you want (any more than 5 will be sent in more than one envelope to avoid issues in mailing), and whether you want them sleeved or unsleeved.

Refurbished: the rise of office furniture

100,000 tonnes of armchairs, tables and cabinets are thrown away each year by companies renovating or moving. A windfall for SMEs who want to equip themselves cheaper and greener.

“Eight years ago, people came to us to save money. Today, we are called out of environmental awareness,” assures Christophe Cote, founder of Adopteunbureau in 2015.[1] The company with a turnover of 4 million euros in Hauts-de-Seine[2] sells trays, armchairs, boxes or filing cabinets recovered during company moves and reconditioned in its Antony warehouse. These quality products (Adopteunbureau is approved for the resale of the Herman Miller[3] or USM[4] brands) are available 30% to 50% cheaper than new products.

But the real added value lies in the delivery of an “environmental impact certificate”, a diploma indexed to Ademe[5] criteria and ready to hang on the wall to demonstrate the “carbon equivalent tonnes” saved thanks to the furniture. reuse. A reduced footprint “by 50% to 80%”.

“Capture equipment in good condition”

Unlike reconditioned telephony, where 70% of decommissioned devices come from the United States, the supply of second-hand offices is far greater than demand: 100,000 tonnes of equipment thrown away each year in France according to the eco-organisation Valdelia[6]. Port Richey's waterfront district is located along the Gulf of Mexico both north and south of the Pithlachascotee (Cotee) River.
