Hey! I saw that you guys were playing CAH. Since cardcast has been dead since for a little while now, I was wondering how you included your custom dnp cards? I've looked online here and there but there doesn't seem to be a total substitution? Thanks!

I’ve been using CrCast (cast.clrtd.com) to build the deck, which last I checked isn’t playable on Pretend You’re Xyzzy, so we’re playing a Xyzzy clone at xyzzy.clrtd.com. They have a redesigned interface, but if there are aspects of it you dislike (we aren’t exactly fond of their use of the r-word for the point tally, for example) you can switch it to their “old version” (which looks more like xyzzy) on the fly, which is good. I haven’t checked in awhile if xyzzy allows CRCast decks yet but I don’t expect it’ll be added anytime soon.

During the offseason

The football season is over and the football guys have turned the operation over to the business side. On the first day of the offseason, the trust led by CEO Joe Ellis, essentially said the team is for sale. If you have $3 billion dollars, the team is yours.

Why would they start the offseason with that news? In order for the Bowlens to keep the team, everyone in the Bowlen family would have to vote for Brittany to take over. Ellis has said that when the family formally rejects Brittany, the trust will put the team up for sale because there’s little chance of any minds being changed at that time. For example, Pat’s brother Bill tried suing Ellis in an attempt to dissolve the trust before the season started. That lawsuit was dismissed. Beth Bowlen Wallace also wants to own the team. Bowlen has seven kids which apparently have no interest in football or business, so they’re ready to cash out.

Lock’s performance over the last five weeks has changed the outlook for this offseason. They are no longer looking to the draft for a quarterback. Some people think they’ll draft linemen. Hopefully they’ll draft speed, that’s what they need on offense.

My big fear is that John Elway loves old quarterbacks and there will be several of those to choose from this summer.

How did the culture of St. Luke’s Hospital prepare you and your team to respond to COVID-19?  At St. Luke’s Hospital, we have embraced the spirit of making from our leadership team to the frontline staff. We’ve invested in the tools to let staff bring their ideas to life. We have a medical makerspace, called generate, which opened in November 2019 as an open-access resource for any employee or patient from across the hospital to create a solution to impact patient care. Staff have learned that no idea is too small. Our mandate is to create prototypes of ideas within 15-minutes. Often, that’s all the time a nurse will have to spend in the lab. The hospital has a culture of experimentation to try new ideas in our space and quickly redesign them with clinicians a few steps away on the hospital units. We could never have anticipated that 6-months later this culture of experimentation would have prepared us to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the last 6 weeks, doctors, nurses, and other clinicians  from across St. Luke’s hospital have designed and prototyped 20+ solutions to challenges brought on by COVID-19 resulting in nearly 2,000 device units in use across our health system. With the tools of making here at the frontlines with us, we have gone through more than 50 iterations and testing with 150 St. Luke’s staff. Nine of these projects went from sketch to bedside in under 4 hours. The open-access culture of accepting all ideas helps our entire hospital team make an impact in our response to the pandemic. WASHINGTON, D.C. – That Wayne Rooney will play some part Saturday night for D.C. United — in the first match he’s been eligible for since signing with the club two weeks ago — is a foregone conclusion. In fact, I’ll go ahead and guarantee it.

You don’t drop the kind of money D.C. did on Rooney only to have him pick up a DNP when all eyes are on your other big-money addition and game-changer, Audi Field.

I watched Rooney train on Friday morning in the shadow of RFK Stadium. Unless something extremely unfortunate happens — go ahead and knock on wood for me — the England and Manchester United legend is playing Saturday night against the Vancouver Whitecaps (8 pm ET | TSN1 – full TV & streaming info).

But how much? That’s a question for head coach Ben Olsen, for whom I have some completely unsolicited and probably unnecessary advice: Don’t, under any circumstance, start Rooney in this game. It doesn’t make any sense.

The obvious reason is fitness. Rooney last played a competitive game on April 28, his final appearance for Everton. His first training session with D.C. was July 1. A week before the 32-year-old first laced them up with his new teammates, he was making lasting memories (and presumably not running wind sprints) with his family at the Magic Kingdom.

It would be tempting to put Rooney in the XI and see what happens, but it doesn’t do the player or his teammates any favors. He’ll work his way into match fitness in the coming weeks. Why rush it? Why risk the possibility of an ineffectual or heavy legged debut? Or even worse, risk an injury?

Why push it when goalscoring hasn’t been the issue? Darren Mattocks has five goals in D.C.’s last six games, all on the road. They’ve lost just twice during that span. They haven’t been shut out. He’s earned the opportunity to start a game that’ll go down in club history.

And if they need goals or a jolt, Rooney will be there. Just ask the LA Galaxy about super subs with a global pedigree. Lightning isn’t likely to strike twice, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s debut is a case study in managing a star player’s debut midseason.

Imagine the energy in Audi Field as Rooney gets the call to warm up and goes through his paces. Imagine a stadium already flying high on endorphins chanting his name. Imagine the moment his number goes up on the board and the 20,000-plus in attendance get the opportunity to welcome the new face of their club.

Those are goosebump-inducing moments, to say nothing of what Rooney might do once he actually crosses the white line.

Once he is on the field, he’ll be trying to produce magic against a group of ‘Caps defenders with 60 minutes of chasing Mattocks, Luciano Acosta, Yamil Asad, Zoltan Steiber and Paul Arriola weighing heavy on their legs and the prospect of Rooney entering weighing heavily on their minds.

In those conditions, Rooney can play hero, if needed. He can pile on, if all goes well. He can be assured he’ll be put in a position to succeed, and D.C. will have plenty more chances to fill out lineup cards that include their prized asset in the XI.

There will be more home games, 14 to be exact. On Saturday, half an hour will be more than enough.

Fashion For Jazz🌼

Made some outfits for Jazz. For me, I see Jazz who likes to look pretty and proper. She def likes to dress sweet and peppy! Totally in Academia aesthetic with also a mix of soothing, relaxing clothing. She LOVES yoga pants. She’s also a huge fan of calm, mellow colors, especially aqua colors like teal💙💚

I gave Desiree eyebrows. Last time I wasn’t sure if they would be seen with her hair and jewerly but I gave it a try. I read a lot of Middle Eastern People have thick eyebrows and she’s suppose to be Arabian, or atleast I headcanon her as Arabian. I think they look pretty good!

Desiree Redesign Discussion✨

Desiree is very well known in the DP community and her design’s one of the most remembered. There’s a lot that’s good such as the blues, purples, flowy genie tail etc. At the same time, there were certain things I really wanted to change, especially when thinking of reintroducing her for a modern kids show.

A huge criticism in her design and in a lot of historical Arabian fashion is that it tends to be portrayed orientalist(imitation or depiction of the Eastern World, a lot of the time very inaccurate to say the least), I wanted to make sure my version was more accurate.

Made her outfit more modest. Another HUGE criticism in her design and orientalist portrayals is that Arabian fashion for women, tend to be rather sexualized, even more since she’s in a kids show. Arabian fashion’s much more modest. With that said, it was also more relaxed back then so I went with a more relaxed type to show she’s from a different period of time in Arabian history, compared to now.

Made her hair from straight black to a more wavy dark blue. Since I was going for a flowy, ethereal vibe in general for her, thought I’d make her hair more like that too. I also added braids, as they were very popular back then as well for Arabian Hairstyles. I made the ends like her genie tail🧞‍♀️ For her outfit, I added gold sparkle decoration for the magic feel and to help incorporate the magic sparkles and flow into her outfit to help separate the purples more and for a magical feel. Added dots, to make it feel like stars in the night.

Made her tail more glowy. Genie tails usually have a sort of mist/smoke effect on them and I wanted to use that! Plus it gives off a sparkling feel to it✨

Gave her a veil. As I said about the modesty, the hair’s also covered and would've been back then as well. Though like back then it was also more relaxed and it varied, some covering completely, others letting a bit of their hair shown, overall having something covering their head. Went for a type with hair shown, I went with that to show the time difference and also cause it looks very flowy and pretty. Went with deeper purples to contrast better with the blues and gold💜

 OG Color Palette- Green, gray, white, black, red, light blue, light purple with different shades for a shine affect and magenta for the lips.

My Color Palette- Light royal blue, dark blue, gold, white, magenta purple and dark purple.

I also wanted to give off a gentler, more ethereal vibe. My version of Desiree’s kinder and overall gentler compared to her canon self so I wanted a look to fit her new character better as well. She seeks to grant wishes so it makes sense she’d want to look in a way that’s welcoming, inviting. I wanted mine to feel calmer and more serene, hence why I added more flowy materials and elements✨☁️

Made her eyes more almond shaped, I think it suits her better than the circles.

Have both of eyes shown as the top of her hairs braided, so nothings covering them.

Gave her gold nail polish.

 Made her green skin blue to make it easier on the eye and fit with her other colors better.

Changed her purple lipstick and gave her bigger lips, the upper lip black, like the tips in Kim Possible.

Gave her eyeliner. Popular Arabian eyeliner has a lot on the upper lash and some at the bottom. There were shots that had Desiree like that. 

Changed her face structure.

Made her nose bigger.

Went for a deeper, more royal blue as well as darker shades of purples💙💜

Made her pupils twinkle shaped. I thought it’d looked pretty and to give off the idea of her being starry eyed, my version being more idealistic, a dreamer type✨

Made her head and necklace jewelry more elaborate. Added dangly sparkles✨ Gave her small gold cuff bracelets, instead of the purple with blue dangly hoops.

Gave her rings💍

Added a cuff bracelet on her ghost tail.

Made her jewelry gold. Aw the color’s very popular in Arabian jewelry, good contrast and cause it looks very cool⚱️⭐️

Added a swirl at the end of her tail as a lot tails are like that.

Made her jewelry more cuff like to give off the subtle feel of being trapped. Specifically being trapped in her ghostly form, longing to be free again in the living world. Ngl seeing Desiree’s cuff jewelry, and genies in cuff jewelry sometimes are portrayed like actual chain cuffs, being trapped to their bottles and duty as genies. Don’t get me wrong, she can change her jewelry and overall likes her jewelry, and I can see her to have worn stuff like that before her death, just something I’ve noticed in a lot of genie designs and thought it’d fit some of her own deep down feels.

Val Training Outfit!🏃🏿‍♀️

In the show, Val had her own training clothes. We only saw them once but I LOVED them. Especially since it was using red, since she’s training for her job as the Red Huntress. I made my own training threads for my own Val too!🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️

Kept a lot of the color scheme but added more grays and blacks into the mix.

Replaced the white sports top with a red and black sports bra. Which on the top, the line’s like a V!

Replaced her red shorts with longer black training pants with a red v line. V for Val and I see a lot of exercise pants like that!

Gave her a sweet training jacket! Also added lines to match with the bandana. The symbol was inspired from Adidas. I wanted to make it look a V a bit.

Added gray lines on her red bandana.

Put her hair in a red scrunchie so it doesn’t get in the way of her training.

Made her socks gray than white.

Not training exclusive but her lipstick is now red. Def for her new life as Red huntress she changes from magenta to the classic red! I can imagine she also doesn’t paint her nails as much, maybe when she has the free time or for a more formal occasion❤️💄

Removed her earrings as to not have them in the way of her training or get possibly damaged. If she was to have earrings they’s either be studs or small hoops, nothing that’s dangly.

Made her shoes more detailed👟 Was inspired by NIKES shoes. I can imagine she has a lot of sports shoes.

Gave her wristbands! Added line to match with the bandana and jacket.

Danny’s Vest👻

    A little while back, last Halloween I posted my own redesign of Danny Phantom Himself! I made quite a few changes, my biggest was adding a vest to put his logo on! 

I made the logo a lot like his old one, to keep it iconic. But also made a few changes. I made the D wider and P in in it bigger to make it more clear and I also made the logo the iconic ghostly green Danny and in general the show’s associated with! I always wanted to add more green in Danny’s design!💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

For the vest, I was going for BIG sci-fi, space hero ranger vibes, cool vests are pretty popular for the genre and our space ghost boy def designed some fun space drip!🔭🪐☄️

I’m thinking the vest was a gift made by Sam to make him feel more comfortable in his new Phantom afterlife!👻👻👻💖💖💖
