Tension is rising on Mt. Solstice...

"Friends, old and new. You know me as Dovemoon, BlizzardClan's long standing leader. I have watched many seasons pass in the wax and wane of the moon and I have seen just as many cats pass to join the Courts beyond. Similarly, I have watched over the births and families in this Clan for generations worth of cats, overseeing their development, keeping them safe. When I accepted the deputyship when I was but a lad, I didnae do it for the sake of power. I didnae do it for the sake of proving a point. I did it so that I could ensure the safety and prosperity of the Clan I love. The Clan I call home. Our way of life is old, and sacred, and is fortified by the mountain we stand on. We are as the individual pebbles of the greater mountain, each as important as one another so that we may stand strong as a fortified unit against the threat of those who would sully and taint our way of life. I know that some of ye have lost faith in me, and I cannae say that I disagree with ye. Times have been hard with the avalanche, and the new rules I have placed upon ye…but I assure you with wholehearted love bleeding from my veins that I instant these rules with yer wellbeing in mind. I want everyone in BlizzardClan to be safe, happy, healthy!

I was there when the BloomClan scourge took an entire generation away from us. I was almost killed back then, too. I shed blood on the snow for the right of this Clan to survive, and I did it with pride. I ask none of ye for blood. I ask none of ye for sacrifice. All I ask is for yer loyalty! Yer bravery, yer pride. I ask for ye to stand shoulder to shoulder with yer Clanmates upon the mountain, to look down the slopes upon the BloomClan threat below and remind yerselves why we now keep the monarchs in camp. BlizzardClan and BloomClan have witnessed an era of relative peace, though some among their number are less eager to let the past go and allow bygones to be bygones. Dovemoon, BlizzardClan's leader, is one of these cats. Though he has reigned as BlizzardClan's leader for a long time, a darkness brews within him that threatens to spill out and swallow not just BlizzardClan, but the whole mountain in his hate, deceit and anger.

In recent seasons, Dovemoon's paranoia has begun to reach a fever pitch, and has started overstepping his bounds as leader into the personal lives of his Clanmates to try and retain control. After the avalance that claimed the lives of clanmates, Dovemoon declared that all clan members cannot leave camp alone, and must be accompanied by another capable member of the Clan. Secondly, he has decreed that monarchs may not leave camp at all after an incident involving Lambsong. Dovemoon cites safety for these new laws, though many are starting to question their leader.

Those who disobey Dovemoon's laws are increasingly finding pressure upon their shoulders. Dovemoon's inner circle watches from every angle, claws itching to dig into those they vowed to protect at the first sign of heresy against their acting God.

Dovemoon invites you to join the glory at his side, though few will make it out alive.

Cats accepted to Dovemoon's Circle are on the losing side, and will be killed or exiled if they choose him in the final battle…though their fate still lies in your paws.

I just wrote a really long ramble about that AU I was talking about earlier... I've decided I want to change Dove's name and someone in a Discord I'm in suggested the name Palerain and I like it but I want to keep her prefix but Doverain sounds... eh. Do you have any thoughts on what I should do?

palerain is super pretty! so unless u really want ‘dove’ then i’d say do that

HOWEVER i also love the prefix ‘dove’ so um... i guess if you like ‘rain’ as a suffix but not ‘doverain’ then there’s some similar suffixes?

anything really ... but with a sword 🗡 (alas, don’t have a sword though)

so more realistic; oversized pyjama top, knee high socks and some slippers.

Imagine what this would do to the three if Leafpool passed before the DF Battle? Starclan was already terrified of Jayfeather in a way because his powers were already beyond their own. Jaymoon wouldn't have limits as to how far he could reach, even starclan while he was awake. He could push dreams of different cats together if he needed to, or walk through the Dark Forest unnoticed to retrieve or heal cats in their dreams before they woke (1/3)

Dovewing could have been a med cat because she would have been prepared for everything before any cat knew there was a problem. Dovemoon could overhear a convo about herb shortages and find them on that clan's territory. Maybe even let it go both ways? Allowing a fellow med cat to see something through her eyes to get advice on an injury or ailment. The other cat would assume it was a vision of some kind.

Lionblaze had the anger issues and I think a bit of bloodlust? Being a medicine cat allowed him to heal instead of hurt, but when he became Lionmoon, the bloodlust was gone, and he would become the perfect balance of fighter/healer. But if he gave up being a med cat to be a warrior, then the bloodlust would return and put him back where he started.

A muscular and formidable tom, Dovemoon has been leader of BlizzardClan for many moons. After BlizzardClan's persecution at the hands of BloomClan's late leader Scarletsun, Dovemoon knew he needed to be the iron-hearted stalwart leader that their mountain home engendered. Over time Dovemoon has come to rule the mountain with an iron paw, implementing new rules and surrounding himself with a garrison of supporters in his deputy and many of The Keepers that ensure he stays in power without much fuss. Despite his clinginess to leadership, Dovemoon does love his Clan, and believes his overzealous nature is necessary for their protection and survival. He's ornery, snappy, and has a bit of a cruel streak, but Dovemoon is eager to prove the strength and independence of his Clan, his faith in their ability strong.

DEPUTY: SNOWFALL AGE: 70 MOONS GENDER: DEMITOM, HE/THEY

Dovemoon's right-paw. Snowfall drifts about the territory like a ghost shadowing their adopted father Dovemoon, his snowy white coat making for the perfect camouflage against the snow and rocks. When Snowfall's mother, Frozenpool, was found murdered, the little kit needed to be cared for by somebody. Dovemoon took pity on this tiny ball of fluff and raised him as his own son, moulding him into the strict but loveable deputy he is today. The two are nigh inseparable, but Snowfall lacks a lot of the harshness of their father's attitude, preferring to solve things with practicality rather than punishment. Despite this, when Dovemoon gets involved, Snowfall will bow to the will of their father with unshaking loyalty. Dovemoon has pride in his adopted child and believes they'll become an outstanding leader someday soon when the moon gives way on his reign to the dawn of Snowfall's. But is Snowfall up to the task of climbing out of his father's shadow?

MEDIC: EBONYFROST AGE: 30 MOONS GENDER: BIGENDER, HE/IT

BlizzardClan's scarred and snappy medic, Ebonyfrost is considered a delight at Gatherings by precisely no one in BloomClan. Despite his lack of social skills, Ebonyfrost is an outstanding medic and it's this that's most of the reason that Dovemoon keeps him around…that and a deep sense of pity for the cat he watched grow up marinated in grief. Riddled with survivor's guilt, Ebonyfrost is wracked with the memories of death and failure. He was only young when both of his mothers were dragged home bloodied and barely breathing, and there was nothing short of a miracle that could save them. Later, he would lose his best friend Dawnbelly to another mysterious attack, which perhaps broke the poor medic completely. Refusing to withdraw from a shell of grief, Dovemoon has long since stopped 'wasting' resources on trying to fix the situation, and instead allows Ebonyfrost to do as he pleases, as long as the work gets done.

I feel I should address this.

I’m only on side of the trans spectrum when it comes to having a desire to have bio kids (current mindset of being okay with it but it could change) and know others aren’t comfortable with it or how it’s portrayed in warriors stuff as well as with mlm couples (same with wlw but it’s less common from what I’ve seen)

Splotchedtail

They had an accidental pregnancy and hated the entire process. Had difficulty bonding with Sabre and Talon and it had been left up to Downyface for a bit before they were able to feel comfortable again.

Foxtail

She had a out of guild dame carry her kits. Once they were weaned, she took them back to her guild.

Tatteredwing and Lanternwhisker

Both cis gay man. They adopted a founding Morelstrike.

Stonepelt and Weedwhisker

Also are cis gay man. They adopted Frostbite as their only child. They do kinda count Jayfire and Swanstorm since they helped raise them when Dovemoon died and Slatetail couldn’t be bothered.

Mottlebelly and Sundewpaw

Two cis mollies, bisexual and lesbian respectively. Both are fine with carrying kits but Sundewpad had more difficulty getting pregnant so Mottlebelly carried. They had a donor friend help them.

They are Morningclaw’s moms.

Lichenflame and Foxthistle

Foxthistle is a trans molly and was fine with siring kits if only with her beloved. They are the mothers of Yolksnout.

"Visitors?" A thick-set, burly cat sat on the warm rock, his paws dipped into the warmth of the hot spring as BlizzardClan's leader, Dovemoon, looked up, his eyes raking over the newcomers. "Who sanctioned this?!" The old tom growled. "There's to be no outsiders within our borders! Ugh…Well, I suppose if you're here, you should be taught the rules so you don't trespass again. The following are laws I, Dovemoon, have instated into the Clan since I came to power." Dovemoon sat up, twitching his long whiskers free of water before adopting a more noble post, his shoulders squared and back with his nose held high like a king overlooking his kingdom.

1) Outside of Gatherings and enforcing borders, cats outside the Clan are forbidden to be spoken to or acknowledged. "They're only here to threaten our peace and weaken our bloodline- they are scum! Drive them out, at the expense of your life if it comes to it. You will be protecting the future of BlizzardClan."

2) Food must first go to monarchs and kits, then to the leader. After paying your dues, you may eat. "Monarchs and kits are what is keeping the future of this Clan alive, and they must be shown the same respect you would show me. After that, I am the first to eat. As your leader, I need to keep my strength up so I can continue to look after you all."

3) Keepers are the Leader's right-paw, and count for two votes against the one of a regular cat. "The Keepers of the Clan are close to me and know what's best for you- therefore they get more say. This does not mean they are infallible, which is why the sanctity of the vote is still established."

4) Those seen consorting with the enemy without good reason are traitors to be executed. "Anyone carousing around with BloomClan or outsiders makes their loyalty clear. The only reason to do so would be to trade away our secrets- to weaken the Clan! These traitors are scum and will be given five seconds to run from camp before being chased down by The Keepers and other volunteers."

5) Apprentices and Warriors must recite The Pledge every dawn before their leader: The Pledge: I will not falter, I will not fail. BlizzardClan is never frail. I will be swift, I will be strong For our strikes are fast and claws are long. Our leader carries us through the storm And helps us through towards the dawn. I pledge my life to our cause To meet all threats with outstretched claws I will fight and kill and die For BlizzardClan's dominion is nigh!

"The Pledge reminds us all that we are a united unit, ruled under the watchful, loving eye of your leader. I will do my utmost to protect you, and you will do your utmost to protect the Clan."

Dovemoon turned to the visitors, his eye gleaming with threat. "Now you'd best be on your way, lads and lassies, for my patience for scum like you is very short." He spat tersely, his lip curling upwards. As he approached, one pawstep at a time, it was as if two cats were walking in near-lockstep. "I'll give you those five seconds to run. Five…"
