I was watching some Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives last night when I saw this. I literally sat up from my bed because I immediately recognized the 5Ds logo; looking at it closer, I think it may be the first volume of its manga adaptation! This absolutely blew my mind!
(For those who are curious, it's from the season 23 episode, "Finger Lickin' Food". In it, Guy visits a restuarant in Minneapolis called George and the Dragon, which has a bookshelf filled with books for kids to read, including manga.)

Another World Showcase Adventure Spoiler (unless it has to do with the HDLW play pavilion attraction)
There is a point where Donald uses the Barksian voice modulator as I just listened to a podcast where the guest mentioned he was a voice double for Don Cheadle on What If and in Epcot
That said…over under on Showcase dropping between 1/14-2/21 (aka festival of the arts)

DuckTales (2017) - The Last Crash of the Sunchaser
(Spoiler Warning)
Today the episode we have all have been longing for finally arrived... the mystery surrouding the disappearance of Della Duck was finally solved and I have to say it was one of the most exciting yet saddest episodes I've ever seen. The boys and Webby worked together to get shredded documents from the week they were born which was around the exact same time Della disappeared. They were piecing together a photograph but were missing a vital piece to finally solve the mystery, but it kept getting blown around the plane throughout the entire episode and what made it more difficult was keeping this a secret from Scrooge and Beakley. Everything worsened when they became stuck on a peak and even the slightest movement would cause the plane to crash to the ground. Eventually, Dewey couldn't take it anymore and went after the final piece, but risked his life in the process. It wasn't until he finally confronted Scrooge once and for all regarding Della's disappearance and the Spear of Selene did Scrooge finally reveal the truth.
Before the boys were born, Scrooge, Donald and Della traveled all over the world in search of adventure and treasure, but when they had traveled to every part of the world, Della developed a new desire... she wanted to explore space!!! Donald was against the idea since the boys were almost born, but Scrooge went ahead and build Della her dream rocket... The Spear of Selene and was going to surprise her. However, Della found out about the rocket and took it out to test drive (explaining her letter to Scoorge that Dewey and Webby previously found in The Great Dime Chase). However, a cosmic storm suddenly appeared and soon both Della and the Spear of Selene were lost, resulting in Della's disappearance, Scrooge and Donald becoming estranged and the reason why Scrooge gave up being an adventurer all those years ago.
Huey, Dewey and Louie are both devastated and furious upon learning the truth about their mother and just like Donald, they blame Scrooge for what happened to her and believe that he didn't try hard enough to find her. Scrooge's temper gets the better of him after hearing their insults, he indirectly disowns both his family and friends. Once returning home, the boys reveal to Donald they want to leave and soon after the boys both Webby, Beakley and even the ghost of Duckworth also leave Scrooge all alone by himself. The final scene showcases Scrooge coldly declaring he is happier alone with tears in his eyes and flashbacks showcasing in his immense yet failed efforts to find Della.
Overall, this was one of the Saddest Episodes of the entire DuckTales (2017) series. This episode finally revealed the truth and throughout the episode, it showed how much Scrooge still blames himself for what happened to Della and wants to protect the boys as he doesn't want history to repeat itself. He doesn't want to fail in protecting his family, because after all these years Scrooge still feels the sadness, guilt and shame of being unable to protect and find Della. Although I feel for the boys, I can't help but feel they are being too hard on Scrooge. It was never his intention for Della to end up lost in space, he was trying to help Della fulfill her dream of wanting to adventure in space and they have no idea how much Scrooge still blames himself for what happened to her. Scrooge almost used up his entire fortune in hopes of finding and rescuing Della, but was forced by his advisors to give up the search even though Scrooge didn't want to. Ultimately this is saddest episode ever and while the mystery may have been solved, it has once again caused a tragic rift to form between Scrooge and his family.
