#Elizabeth Lavenza Also Needs a New Tag
Note
I'll send you one I didn't send Clare: Elizabeth Frankenstein
Godlike
TITLES: Elizabeth does not have many epithets, as her worship centers on her being truthful and helpful to the public. Sometimes she is called “The Mediator” or some version of Lady Justice. Very occasionally she will be called ‘The Mother of Arts’ or ‘Mother of Law.’
DOMAIN: Arts especially poetry photography portraiture and literature, students and education, construction and building, law and justice, harmonious families, single parents, detection of and protection from evil.
WORSHIP: Elizabeth is most commonly worshiped as a goddess of justice, and often images of her will be in courtrooms and hanging in the lobbies of law offices. She’s also frequently called upon by social workers or charity workers, especially those who feel they are doing ‘the right thing.’ Elizabeth favors those that she deems truly helping. Most of her temples are in capital cities and university towns, focusing either on her connection to justice or her patronage of the arts and study. Some universities are entirely devoted to her, and are typically well rounded and comprehensive, without being exclusionary. Students will often pray to her before a test, or leave offerings of stationary or wildflowers in small shrines on campus. Personal art or home-made items are also often left as offerings, especially child’s drawings. Small shrines are also seen on roadways and in rest stops, and travelers will leave offerings for safe travel. Charms against evil are also worn especially when someone feels threatened or has to make large life changes. At weddings or family gatherings prayers are offered to Elizabeth, and she is often invoked when one has to tell family difficult news, in hopes that they will be understanding or that if they are not, the repercussions will lead to new families. Single parents often go to her temples for aid or to give thanks for their children. Many preschools and after school care organizations are devoted to Elizabeth, and babysitters often wear charms for their and their charges protection. She is often depicted with both hands up, either as a ‘mediator’ or holding out books or flowers as a gift. Her least common worship is as a goddess of construction, as it’s more to do with having ‘strong foundations’ than actual craftsmanship, but builders will often leave charms or icons of her inside of walls to help protect the inhabitants, especially if they are building a home.
SYMBOLS: Wildflowers such as chamomile, edelweiss, buttercups, wild strawberry, lavender and periwinkle. New notebooks and stationary items. Magpies are symbolic of her, as are doves, and dogs. Her charms are often carved from smokey quartz or amethyst, as well as garnet. These charms often depict two hands clasped -most often of different stones- or overlapping open books. Hand-woven cotton cloth is often used in her rituals.
MYTHS: Many of Elizabeths myths feature her acting as mediator for other gods, such as mediating between her siblings and staving off war, or as an advocate for humans who have angered other gods. She also features in stories of inventions or discovery of aids like caffeine or aspirin, as well as the invention of the judicial system. Her most detailed myth describes how she created a child for herself, despite opposition from other gods.

Announcement: 1/29/2020
Good evening, y’all! I just want to give a quick update on what activity on this blog is going to look like, which muses are going to be active (and to what extent), and all that good stuff. I’m placing it under a “read more”, simply because this will be a long post.
General Notes
State testing will soon be upon my students. I’m working hard to prepare them. On the plus side, this Saturday (2/1/2020) is my last debate meet of the semester! That said, we’re implementing some study Saturdays, where I’ll be offering tutoring/mini-lessons for four hours on select Saturdays. I will place semi-hiatus notices in advance for those.
I’m also contending with a severe depression. I have it in my Habitica app that I need to do at least one reply/ask/meme a day, so I don’t fall out of the habit/give into the dark side, but expect me to be a little slower. Some of y’all know what triggered this particular bout of depression - nothing RP related, but it is intensely personal and intensely painful. I’m getting the professional help I need and I have to remind myself that that’s what matters right now. Good vibes are appreciated, though! Always. And as always, I’ll be sending you guys love and positive thoughts at every chance I get.
Summer will be better.
Muse Activity
My muse activity, as anyone with a MuMu or multiple blogs will attest to, fluctuates. However I want to give some notes on all muses for those of you who are curious.
Rudyard Funn: Rudyard is listed as active and he is! I’m struggling to keep up with old threads from his former blog, so if you have something you’d like to keep from there, please link me!
Georgie Crusoe: I’m testing Georgie. I’m not ready to unleash her on new RP partners (unless they RP canon Wooden Overcoats characters), just because I’m getting used to her and deciding whether or not I plan to keep her. If you enjoy my Georgie, please let me know!
Masha Voronina: Masha is active, but I am insecure about my female OCs in general. Please send love/asks/anons/threads her way!
Anna Garcia: Like Masha, Anna is active and I’m a bit insecure about my female OCs so any love is very appreciated! That said, I’m pretty confident in her voice and PSYCHED about the urban fantasy world I’ve built surrounding her (and Santiago and a bunch of unlockable OCs and verses for canons...) Hit me up!!
Victor Frankenstein: Victor is really only open for interaction with @professor-of-predators. I’m using him to cope with some things and I don’t really want to open him up to others at this point in time.
Finnegan: Finnegan is so underrated. PLEASE hit me up for him! He’s active and terrible but capable of growth.
Diaval: I haven’t seen “Maleficent 2″ yet. I will! That said, I’ve had a huge resurge of muse for him. Please RP with him! Minor changes might be made to his bio when I see M2, but from what I’ve heard, I’m on the right trajectory with him anyways.
Elizabeth Lavenza: Elizabeth is on hiatus. When I bring her back, I want to divorce her from my 2015 verses more (still have Victor with an NPC sister) and allow her to shine without Victor looming over her. This is a project to consider in the summer, if the muse strikes.
Erik: Erik is selective af. I’ve never made it a secret that I think the Pha.ndom is a total cesspool. I am willing to play Erik, but insofar as shipping goes, please just assume that my endgame is Erik/Nadir with my Nadir unless we’ve explicitly discussed otherwise. I’m just really exhausted with feeling like this muse is romanticized, sexualized, and fetishized.
Nadir Khan: Nadir is so selective, I should just put him on hiatus. I don’t have a lot of muse for him outside of fanfiction right now. If you have an interesting plot idea, feel free to message me, but I may not have the spoons to indulge you.
Gleb Vaganov: Gleb is on indefinite hiatus. I have lost inspiration for him, but hope that he may return to me in the future.
Santiago Ortiz: Santiago is selective, but only because he’s a little harder for me to write than some of the others. If you want to plot, message me! I’m eager to use him, he’s just very different than my usual “type”. I’m excited about his universe and using him.
Percy Blakeney: I have muse for Percy, but I think I’ll put him on semi-hiatus for my mental health. I also know not many people know what to do with him and that’s okay! If you have a specific plot, lmk.
Marguerite St. Just: Like Percy, I have muse for Marguerite, but I’m putting her on semi-hiatus. Not many people know what to do with her and that’s okay! If you have a specific plot, lmk.
Madeleine de Chandon: I have inspiration for this OC, but I want to revamp her. She is so far on hiatus as I workshop her that she isn’t even listed on my muse list.
Jaskier: I want to pick up Jaskier from “The Witcher” as a muse, but I want to do some test writing - fanfictions, private RPs, etc. If you’d like to privately RP with him, message me! He’ll be Netflix based because I don’t know anything about games besides what the Wiki tells me. Not sorry.
Please note that it is physically impossible for me to devote the same amount of time/focus/energy on each of my muses as the same time. I hope to keep my turn-around times short, but I ask for your patience as I do work full-time and am dealing with a lot of RL stressors. This is a hobby, not my job.
Verse Reconstruction
You may have noticed I’m not tagging verses. I’m working on deciding how to go about doing that in an efficient way. My threads will be a little messy for the time being but I’m thinking of doing big, blanket verse tags (ex. .001 | canon, .002 | modern, .003 | historical, etc.). I might include more specific tags, but I don’t know what that will look like.
I do know that all my muses will have their canon verses, a modern verse (if they are not a modern character), an urban fantasy verse (if they are not urban fantasy character), historical verses (generally tagged or tagged by era), a Disney verse (if they are not a Disney character), a D&D/medieval fantasy inspired verse, and so forth. I’m sure there are others I’ve neglected to include in this list.
Give me time to construct these tags and/or pages. I work full time and can’t believe I’ve carved time to make an announcement post.
Graphics/Layout/Etc.
I need to save up to commission my favorite graphics-maker to beautify this blog. In the meantime, I hope it’s easy enough to navigate and not too unsightly!
Misc.
If you’ve read all of this, please know that I love you. Thank you for being patient with me as I’ve searched for an online home. Hopefully I will feel at ease on my MuMu.
As always, please respect my rules and boundaries, but don’t be shy! I promise to do the same for you!
Peace!

Rec Your Own Fic
I was tagged by @hithelleth many moons ago ;). Thank you! :D
Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you’ve written, then pass on to at least five other writers.
***
Damn, I haven’t written a new fic in a while, but fortunately I’ve written quite a few so far, so it’s cool to be able to reminisce. Here we go, in no particular order:
1. The Final Hour (Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, also posted here)
“The creature had vowed his revenge, but in what may be her final hour, Elizabeth Lavenza hopes to convince her husband's creation otherwise as the man-like creature comes to her on her wedding night to speak with her.”
This might one of my favourite things I’ve ever written, and I’m quite proud of it. I wanted to give a voice to a character who had almost none in the original novel. Sadly, the fic was written for a very small fandom, so it hasn’t been read by many people. Regardless, I love this piece, it makes me feel happy about it.
2. from darkness promote me (Thor: Ragnarok)
“Loki died in Svartalfheim, but a bargain with Hela might bring him back.”
Basically, my take on how Loki managed to survive, and I had great fun writing the piece, mostly because I could tackle the character of the dark and mysterious Hela. I got to incoporate a good deal of Norse mythology into it, as well, and readers have taken well to the story, so that’s nice, too.
3. In Need of a Shave (The Dark Knight)
“ He needs a shave, he really does.”
This fic was a challenge when I started it because it’s hard to write about Nolan’s Joker without making too many tacky assumptions or revealing too much. I think the point of the character is that, no matter how much you reveal, you should never go too far; a sense of mystery should always remain. Even more importantly, as a writer, you shouldn’t make the Joker predictable, which is very far from it being an easy task. The challenge here was also that it showed a little bit of an intimate moment, and the greatest danger for me was to make him look too normal and relaxed because the moment itself was like that. It seems that I succeeded, however, based on the reviews, and I’m really proud of this little accomplishment.
4. The Heart of War (pre-Thor)
“Sif wants to become a valkyrie, but then, she realises she wants Loki, too.”
My first fic in which the M rating stands for “mature adults doing mature sexy business” haha. In all seriousness, though, with this story I really celebrated my love for the character of Sif, who has so little screen time in the movies, but is just so awesome, as well as my love for the Sif/Loki pairing. And, well, I just really, really love the outcome. And because I’m predictably nerdy as hell, there’s lots of Norse mythology goodness featured once more.
5. The Fall (pre-Thor, also posted here)
“There were once three princes of Asgard, and then there remained only two.”
Because I love Thor and Loki, and because I wanted to explore their strained sibling bond. Writing this fic made me feel very emotional, so it’s definitely a favourite.
In conclusion, most of the fic that I’ve just chosen to recommend don’t have as many reviews or likes/kudos as my other stories, but I guess writers see their creations differently than their readers do. We are there for the entire creative process, after all.
***
I don’t think I know five or more authors with a Tumblr, so unfortunatelly, I’ll have to tag less than five, but any fic writer out there that I don’t know about, please do the challenge!
I tag these three beautiful fellow authors who also write fanfiction: @engagemachine, @charliestokers and @valyriansword.

🌶 any other muse you wanna have Jane talk about
send 🌶 to learn what my muse thinks is hot about yours
Georgie Crusoe: “She’s so strong. I just feel like, like, she could carry me off to a castle and guard me from evil. Which is, of course, ridiculous but. Damn.”
Elizabeth Lavenza: “You have such a beautiful voice Liz. I wish you could sing me to sleep some nights.”
Masha Voronina: Jane and Masha haven’t met in Real Life yet.
Anna Gracia: “I mean look at you! Bouncy, sleek hair, perfect eyebrows, your lips are always moisturized! I couldn’t imagine a more attractive woman if I tried. Not to mention how optemistic you are!”
Finnegan: “This is harder than you think.” She sighed, pulling her mouth to and fro as she thought. “See, as much as I like Finnegan, he’s not all that attractive to me in particular. I could say he’s fashionable, cordial, all the things everyone already knows, but the one thing that I always notice? When he gets his nails manicured. It’s so subtle! I wish I could convince Victor to get his done professionally. But don’t tell Finnegan I said that. He’ll get all self-important and smug.”
Diaval: “I’ve known him for three years now, but his accent is still as sharp as ever. It’s even more fascinating knowing that he’s had the same one since he first shifted! It’s amazing, honestly.”
Santiago Ortiz: “Don’t even say it! I’m not –I just think he’s handsome, alright? And I admire his conviction. That’s ALL.”
Erik: “Nadir was right; there’s something poweful and compelling about his hands. I know most people would say his voice –and it’s wonderful– but, watching him work or play, you really appreciate the practice and the commitment.”
Nadir Khan: “What can I say about Nadir Khan? Nadir Khan is flawless. He has an apartment in New York and one in Paris. I hear his hair is insured for 10,000 dollars. And that he does car commercials. In Japan. One time, he punched Erik in the face. It was awesome.”
Gleb Vaganov: “He looks absolutely wonderful if you can get his suits properly fitted. Like the perfect specimen of a human male. It’s almost distrubing, but very attractive.”
Percy Blakeney: “It’s only when he’s being, well, honest that I can see what Marguerite sees in him. He looks so heroic then! Tall and strong and clever. I wish he would do it more often.”
Marguerite Blakeney St. Just: “I sometimes wish I could be Marguerite. She’s so, so, … perfectly feminine. No matter what she’s wearing, no matter how clean or dirty, no matter where we are, there’s never any mistaking her for anyone else. I don’t know how she does it.”
