Q1: How would the boys react when they're in the Pokemon world for the first time? Q2: What Pokemon are in each of the boys' Pokemon teams and what is their main Pokemon partner for each of them? Q3: Given the fact that Phoebe doesn't have a Miltank, how would the boys react when they taste moomoo milk and moomoo milk ice cream after their arrival in the Pokemon world?
The only way that the Pokemon world can be accessed is if Crowley did his job and discovered a special mirror that can allow them to travel back and forth.
Phoebe can continue her journey, while she won't be a student, Grimm doesn't need to worry because he'll be a full student now that Phoebe gave her right solely to him.
She does come visit the college to see how her friends are doing.
And at some point when holidays come up, the guys would want to see what the Pokemon world has to offer... Of course the portal would open up to where Phoebe was when she was transported.
Which means they end up in the Galar region but the places they end up in are random. due to magic still being a bit of a compromise when connecting to a far away world.
This'll be a bit long but here's what happens...
Q1:
The cast go by the groups based on their dorm. Riddle suggested they go by order as they usually do, he looks smug as he gets to be the first to see Phoebe's world.
Heartslabyul...
Riddle's group was in awe as the portal left them at the entrance to Turrfield town. All of the boys would be caught off-guard by how many Pokemon they see just casually around the area. Particularly how much they want to pet the Wooloo rolling down the hills.
Ace and Deuce are all over the place, taking a look at the shops and even gawking at people walking their Pokemon. Riddle and Trey are checking a small cafe that serves delicacies and they even witnessed a battle between 10 year olds in a big field.
Cater I feel like would be glued to the screen at the gym, he was watching a recap video about Milo's last battle, he was practically mesmerized. Phoebe was nice enough to treat the guys to tickets to watch the next match which was luckily going to start an hour or two later.
They were already impressed by Phoebe battling with her Pokemon, but seeing how people watch it like it was magift? And witnessing an actual dynamax in person? Felt like a roller coaster ride.
They returned still feeling the thrill, also they come back with a box of sweets and tea, of course on Riddle's suggestion.
Savanaclaw...
Leona thought about tagging along but decided against it because a trip just sounds exhausting. Ruggie, for once, drags his ass out of bed and gets him dressed because Phoebe promised him food, and Ruggie just not mess around food! Jack is looking forward to this trip too, he wants to see the environments that Phoebe always talked about.
Though they had to wear special charms to cast glamour spell on them, non-humans are fiction in Phoebe's world so they wouldn't want to cause a panic.
They arrive at the wild area. Full of wild Pokemon and Jack is ecstatic. Look at all the places they could hike around. Seeing Pokemon in their natural environment brings a fresh new feeling. Leona is nagging at Phoebe to pitch a tent cause he doesn't like the outdoors.
She just rolls her eyes as she lets Jack explore nearby while setting up the tent alongside the curry pot. Ruggie was tasked in talking to the guy who sells ingredients for curry.
He brought back, what can be described as, three bags full of the stuff. Don't worry, Phoebe finally had access to her bank account to pay for the stuff. Macro Cosmos Bank, praise be!
Ruggie is having a blast in eating curry and making combinations out of the ingredients that the curry dex might need to be updated. Leona is eating his portion in the tent. Fussy cat being a prick-
Jack took longer to return because he ended up in a desert biome with a LOT of Maractus. Needless to say he came back with a handful of the friendly lil guys. If Jack's tail wasn't hidden it would be wagging like a helicopter.
Of course, the next time they plan a trip back, Ruggie is getting a tour of the different restaurants. especially that burger place that's popular in Galar.
Octavinelle...
Azul is bringing a notepad because he wants to see how people utilize business and Pokemon together. Jade just wants to explore the shops for an antique or two and maybe find some mushrooms that are exclusive to this world.
They arrive at Hulbury where Azul is already zooming into that restaurant. Floyd had to be kept on a sharp watch when he dove into the water and transformed into his eel form to play with the water Pokemon that was beckoning him to play. That was tense!
Jade is shopping at the herb shop that had some special mushrooms for sale, he bought the entire stock. Phoebe has battled and did Pokejobs enough that she has a hefty amount of cash.
Azul would be treated to how the Poke job system works by observing how Phoebe uses a machine to assign her Pokemon to open jobs. A few hours later they come back with cash.
The boy is taking down so many notes that he bought another notepad when he filled all up his first one.
Jade somehow ventured into Ballonlea and it took hours to get him to leave it and convince him that they can schedule another outing here. How the heck did he even get there!?
The trip back after the Ballonlea venture was fine at first... until Floyd had a wild Clobbopus in his arms. He said it looks like Azul, aww that's so sweet- PUT THAT THING BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM OR SO HELP ME-!
Scarabia...
Kalim was almost going to pack an entire house worth of luggage until Phoebe and Jamil dressed him in casual attire with a backpack that has his needed essentials.
They end up going to Stow-On-Side first. The place almost reminds them of the market at their homeland.
Kalim is distracted talking to the cute Maractus handling the stall and the Bronzong playing with the children.
Meanwhile, Jamil and Phoebe take a tour on the town afterwards they travel with Kalim to the different historical places of Galar. Taking them to see the statue discovered by Professor Sonia, and the depictions of Galar's kings in Hammerlocke.
The trip was easier to make especially when the Corviknight taxi has your back. Kalim is not constantly in need of watch when no one knows him, and Jamil can spend hours looking at the land below.
Kalim brought home a lot of souvenirs for his family, he could've brought more but his madols can't exactly transfer into Pokedollars.
Jamil feels like a weight was lifted from him from just that trip.
Pomefiore
They would end up making it look like Vil was some celebrity woth how much of a guard Rook was being. Him being pretty handsome doesn't help. He's here to see the fashion at Circhester.
It was awfully cold there too. Epel is distracted with a staring contest with a Snom that Vil had to drag him away to snap out of it.
Vil won't feel like the fashion is his taste tbh. (Not much on the customization clothing when they're all sporty) but he does buy the make up and perfume that was exclusive to Galar. Especially that perfume based on Leafeon's scent.
Rook can't stop spouting how Vil looks beautiful in this winter weather. They ended up almost getting hounded by the locals.
When they return, Vil is enjoying his moment of victory when Neige asked where did he get the make up and perfume, responding with how he can't share his secrets with a rival.
Ignihyde...
Idia didn't want to go, Ortho insists that they have to. There was a whole new world out there! Though it took a while, Idia was convinced by letting him see how people utilize Rotoms.
First, things first, they managed to give Ortho a more convincing human-ish body and Idia can hide his hair in his hood.
They ended up going to Wyndon, the city has the most tech and entertainment. Idia likes the vibe to it and- oh my great seven, is that a metal crow?!
The same Corviknight taxi guy was there just living his life. Idia has heard about the taxi when he overheard Jamil talk about it. Hoo boy, just wait till he gets to watch the matches.
Phoebe gets special privileges as Raihan's trainer, she gets a discount for the VIP seats to watch a Dynamax match in a place not so crowded.
Idia is glued to the window as he fanboys over these titan Pokemon fighting. He might need to restart and press the power button from how he was dazed after watching the match.
Wyndon just so happens to have information on the dynamax tech and rotom utilization in a convention they were holding right now. The two brothers are just awestruck and will be taking notes on these technology.
Macro Cosmos is the top dog in regards to advancing the economy. Phoebe hopes that Idia doesn't end up like the chairman who was arrested a few years ago.
Their world is built on magic, so a world that is advanced without any aid of magic sounds very interesting. Phoebe doesn't know if dynamax energy counts as magic or not.
They did more convention attending rather than sightseeing but that's okay, Idia seems pleased for once and that's all Ortho wanted.
Diasomnia...
It was weird for Phoebe seeing Malleus without his horns. He looked... not like him at all.
They end up going to Ballonlea because anywhere else would be too overwhelming. There were so many Fairy types in the forest that it almost feels like home.
Malleus is being crowded by the Ponyta and Impidimps who can somehow sense his fae aura. He's happily petting the Pokemon while Sebek is getting his hair tangled by the mischievous Impidimps who wanted to mess with him.
Silver is sleeping on a large glowing mushroom. The Morelluls and Shiinotics gathered all over him that he's barely visible under all the shroom. Jade would be green with envy.
Lilia was getting himself acquainted in town after they had their fun playing in the forest. The locals probably thought he was a child but didn't correct anyone because he was enjoying himself.
Before they left to go back, Phoebe made sure to buy them ice cream made from the Miltank's milk. Malleus swears if anything happened to Phoebe, he'd kill everyone in NRC and then himself.
Q2:
I would think that Crowley would need to be consulted if the boys wanted to keep a Pokemon for themselves. They would only be allowed to pick one and only ONE!
Besides, they're training to be wizards, not trainers as cool as that would be. They'd be too busy if they are given a full team of six.
Phoebe is letting them pick a partner they would like, she even offered to look for the Pokemon if they don't feel like going themselves. A few of them wanted her to catch a Pokemon for them while the rest tagged along to personally catch theirs.
She can travel to catch Pokemon from other regions if it's not available in Galar. She has plenty of time on her hands.
Heartslabyul
Riddle - He gets a Budew, just a small Budew and he's satisfied with it. Turns out the little guy was just as strict as he is. Riddle wanted to catch it himself, he wasn't good a throwing but he finally managed to get his partner.
Ace - He wanted something cool and strong, he was going to pick a big one until he realized that he has to keep it in his backyard and look after it, it was going to be troublesome. He decided to go for the coolest, small Pokemon he could find. He gets himself a Growlithe, a loyal little boy.
Deuce - Was the only one to receive an egg when they were out looking for Pokemon. Just so happen to pass by the daycare and Deuce couldn't say no to a free egg. He hatches a Togepi and he feels like he must protect it with his life.
Trey - Phoebe catches a Milcery for him and lets him choose the sweet he wants to decorate it with Of course he picked the clover sweet. He was given a guide on how to evolve it to a certain flavor he desired, he made sure to do it in private because it seemed embarrassing. He evolved it to a Matcha Alcremie.
Cater - he was having a hard decision to pick that he hesitates to throw the ball every time. There were just a lot of cool ones. But then something startles him and by instinct catches a Wynaut. He was regretting his choice at first until it grew on him. He will now punch anyone who dares pick on his son.
Savanaclaw
Leona - He didn't want to at first because he thinks it was a waste of time... until Ruggie dropped an Alolan Meowth on him and left. He has a love-hate relationship with this Pokemon. It has his own pessimistic temperament as he does. He doesn't return Meowth because it would distract Cheka for him.
Ruggie - Of course one would expect he would get Poochyena but to his surprise, he got a Murkrow. The cheeky bugger nagged his wallet and shiny magical pen. Gave him a bit of trouble, but realizing that the Murkrow was just hungry, he decided to take it home.
Jack - He'd get a Maractus! He would've gotten a cacnea but reading the entry, he decided against it. He scoured the wilderness to find the perfect one, would you know it, he got a shiny one!
Octavinelle
Azul - Of course, he would get a Clobbopus. He would need some extra muscle in case Floyd ever skips out on his duty. But he's grown attached to the little guy that he pampers it. When it evolves, he feels like a million madols. Phoebe caught it for him because he already struggled in flying brooms, chasing one down would end him.
Floyd - Phoebe is not so sure what to pick for Floyd and she worries that he would get bored of the Pokemon like some toy. But to her surprise, Floyd was cooperative on the search, he seemed to be more focused than ever. He ended up catching a Wooper. He never got bored of it and trees it like his baby. Anyone who even looks at Wooper wrong is getting squeezed.
Jade - He is forced to pick a mushroom Pokemon. He is the moody one when he had to pick one. He picked a Foongus because it tends to trick people and he would use it to set a trap for unfortunate souls.
Scarabia
Kalim - He almost went ahead to catch something that was big, cool-looking, and difficult to care for all because he liked the Pokemon. Phoebe had to inform him that it should be something HE can only care for because he can't let his servants at home care for it otherwise a bond won't form properly. Not even Jamil would be responsible for it. Kalim thought long and hard and got himself a Sunkern. He absolutely loves it and for once he can finally have the chance to make his own effort without anyone's help.
Jamil - He would've picked a Chatot but knowing how it copies others' voices, he is not going to take the chance that it might out his ramblings to people. He really did want something like the parrot of the Sorcerer of Sand. Phoebe introduced him to a Natu. It's not talkative but it's quite mysterious. The Natu sometimes goes out on its own and returns at different hours of the day but Jamil is at ease with his own "parrot" companion.
Pomefiore
Vil - He'd be a bit fussy on what he wants in a partner Pokemon. Obviously he would go and find the perfect one himself. No one expected him to get a Snom. Phoebe thought he'd get an Alolan Ninetales but no, he has this Bug Pokemon. No one said anything though when Vil just adores it in his own way.
Rook - He decided to get himself a Braviary, he likes how the dex describes its loyalty to its friends. Much like his loyalty to Vil. A perfect Pokemon for the hunter indeed. Beastmen beware now that the hunter has another pair of eyes on campus.
Epel - He pouts because he wanted something cool but he had to scratch off the cooler ones on his list now that he'll have to be responsible for one. He decided to go for a Pokemon who can help him out with his farm chores. He hoped for an Appletune when he caught an Applin but he accidentally gave it a sour apple and ended up with a Flapple. He's disappointed at first until he sees how strong the little guy was.
Ignihyde
Idia - Phoebe was being shaken as Idia begged her for a Porygon, he'll ask for nothing else and might even do her a favor if she gets him one. Apparently, Idia has been eyeing the Pokemon who can help him out with coding his personal projects.
Ortho - He wasn't expecting to get himself a Pokemon but he won't turn down the generous offer. He was fond of the Rotom in Phoebe's phone, so he wants a Rotom of his own. Sweet Ortho with his new friend both inhabiting a machine body.
Diasomnia
Malleus - He thought long and hard about this, though he knows taking care of a Pokemon is different from Gao Gao Dragon-kun, he would appreciate having a companion that won't be intimidated by him. He wanted to catch it himself, Phoebe is there to reassure him that there was nothing to be nervous about. He catches a precious Vanillite. Malleus absolutely adores it and keeps the Pokemon in cold temperatures with magic easily.
Sebek - Sebek would argue with Phoebe that he must get the sword Pokemon. Dude, that is gonna steal souls if it deems them unworthy. Sebek is.... far from ideal to handle a Honedge. Funnily enough, he ends up with a Ribombee with an attitude like his. Sebek also seems fine with it, apparently, he did this speech about serving Malleus and having honor and the Ribombee was cool with that.
Silver - He got himself a Teddiursa while asleep in the wild. He wanted something else but seeing the bear was nostalgic to him. Not to mention it always looks after him when he slumps over in slumber.
Lilia - Despite being the oldest of the fae, he gets excited like a school kid of getting his very own Pokemon. He brought his own food to lure them in quicker... that did the opposite which made him sulk. Then a Pokemon started to approach the Tupperware and eat out of it. That's how he ended up getting a Gulpin. Diasomnia rejoices because Lilia would feed it his food a lot.
Q3:
Moomoo milk becomes the new "Milk Tea" trend in NRC. Phoebe is almost convinced to just get a Miltank for the kitchen as a joke with how they seem to like the drink.
Malleus almost feels like he's going to start being picky about ice cream if it wasn't made from moomoo milk. It wasn't anything like he tried in Twisted Wonderland ever! It's becoming an addiction tbh, Sebek bout to go yelling at Phoebe's ear about ruining hi waka-sama with her alien cow drink.

for the fic prompt, if you’d like: byul gets overwhelmed with how much she’s been pushing herself lately and yongsun teaches her how to slow down and breathe
One. Two. Three. Step.
Byulyi's sneakers scrape over the hardwood floor of rbw's practice room, loud enough to squeak along the floor boards, yet not precise enough to complete the move successfully.
Byulyi stumbles just a bit and looses her footing - not for the first time that day. She drops to the floor, panting and shaking, a mess of sweaty bangs and trembling hands alone in a room that's usually filled with at least 3 other people.
But the members are busy with their individual projects, and byulyi is working on her own.
As her first solo concert draws nearer though, her excitement slowly gets overshadowed by a sense of dread.
What if I don't prepare enough? What if I make a fool of myself? What about moomoos?
Moon Byulyi likes to think she's left most of her shyness and stage fright behind, but with herself taking center stage as a soloist, old doubts resurface.
It hasn't been all that long since her vocals weren't good enough. It hasn't been all that long since she stood in the shadow of her own group - always a part of it, yet often overlooked.
And then, there's moomoos. Moomoos who have always loved and supported her. Moomoos who believe in her. But what if they believe in her too much? What if their unwavering faith in her capabilities will set them all up for disappointment?
She can't bear the thought.
She can't bear it, so she pushes forward, blinks against the angry tears in her eyes and picks herself up from the floor.
She takes her place at the center of the room and bravely turns toward the mirror, where she meets the eyes of her own works critic.
And off you go...
- - - - - - - -
Yongsun would never admit it out loud, but she misses Byulyi. The other girl has become such a constant presence in her life, it leaves her with a sense of aimlessness when too many days go by without a visit.
"Oh my god, yongsun! Just GO! I can't bear any more of your sulking!"
Yongsun meant to give byulyi space to prepare for her upcoming solo concert, but apparently too many days without her best friend and soulmate are taking her toll not only on her, but also on her sister's patience.
"Byulyi is busy...", yongsun mumbles against the couch, where she lies with her head dramatically pushed into the sofa cushion.
Yonghee leans over and flicks her forehead.
"When has that girl ever been too busy for you?"
-------
Yongsun caves eventually and decides that one visit won't hurt. Besides, byulyi is usually the clingy one so she'll probably appreciate it when yong pops up at the practice room.
She packs a couple of byulyi's favourite snacks before she leaves.
----
One. Two. Three. Step.
One. Two. Three. Step
"ARGH!!"
Byulyi's fingers take a old of the roots of her hair, pulling in frustration as she tries to blink against the angry tears in her eyes.
She stares at her own feet, fingers squeezing tighter until her scalp feels hot from the force of her own grip. She can feel the lump in her throat grow bigger. She's incorrigible. She's dense. Her body won't cooperate. With each thought, her throat feels a little tighter.
"Byul-ah!"
Oh no. Oh no. She can't be here. She can't see it. Nobody should see her failing.
Byulyi pants. Short, irratic breaths that don't seem to be doing their job at all. Useless just like her own two feet.
"Ya! Moon Byulyi! Look at me!"
The voice is firm but the soft hands that start prying Byul's fingers away from her scalp are oddly gentle.
Is she angry?
Byulyi finally decides to lift her head and look at yongsun through the mess of her overgrown fringe.
Yongsun's hands reach up to brush the hair away from byulyi's eyes.
"Let's take a break," she announces. Firm but gentle.
Byulyi shakes her head, struggling to find her voice for a moment.
"I-.. I'm not done! It's taking forever and I can't get it right but I only have one week left and-"
"Hey, stop!"
Yong's hands again, this time reaching for byulyi's. It's only then that byul realises her own hands are trembling.
"You won't make any progress when you're all up in your thoughts like this."
Yong's hands squeeze her own, and byulyi feels for a moment like its only yongsun who keeps her anchored to reality.
"You need to take care of yourself, byul-ah. Nothing good will come of it when you're neglecting yourself. You're a person. You need time and breaks and something to eat and drink every once in a while."
Yongsun's hands let go of byulyi's, but only to rummage through the bag at her feet.
She pulls out a water bottle and unscrews the cap before holding it out to the other girl.
"Drink, and let's sit down."
Byulyi operates almost on autopilot, taking the bottle into a shaky hand for a quick sip before sitting with yongsun at the edge of the room.
Slowly, she can feel the lump in her throat shrink again.
----
Yongsun watches byulyi as she drinks. Shaky hands and a sweaty forehead. Pale skin and dark shadows under her eyes.
Something twists in yongsun's gut at the sight, and she reaches out to uselessly stroke a strand of byulyi's hair behind her ear.
She's never been good with words. She's never been good at comforting people.
Reluctantly, she withdraws her hand from byulyi's hair and drops it back onto her own lap.
Byulyi finishes her water bottle. The crinkling sound of the plastic is the last thing to be heard for a long beat.
"I'm sorry," Byulyi says at last and her voice sounds small and tired.
Yongsun shakes her head and gently runs a hand up and down byulyi's back.
"Don't be sorry for being human, byul. Just... Be gentle to yourself."
Byulyi releases a short breath at that, something close to a scoff.
"I'll never get anywhere like this."
Yongsun feels the heat of anger stirring in her gut at these words, protective of her friend even when it's only in response to byulyi's own words and actions.
"Moon Byulyi!!"
She takes the other girls chin and holds her gaze, trying hard not to let all of her own emotions leek out with her words (lord knows that can of worms is the last thing byulyi needs at the moment).
"What will really not get you anywhere is if you keep pushing and punishing yourself like that! Nobody will get to enjoy your concert if you work yourself to the ground before it even starts! Why can't you just take care of yourself?!"
Yongsun can feel the prickling of tears behind her eyes. If this wasn't so serious, she would've found it embarrassing.
Byulyi blinks at her, but doesn't say anything for a long moment, not until yongsun reaches out for byuls arm and pulls it up for byulyi to see.
N'oublie pas de t'aimer. Don't forget to love yourself.
A reminder on her own skin.
Yongsun strokes her fingers along the words, then looks up to meet byulyi's eyes again.
"If you won't listen to me, at least listen to yourself."
Byulyi studies her own tattoo for a moment. Then, for the first time that day, there's a small smile tugging at the corner of byulyi's mouth.
It blooms into a cheeky grin when she finally turns to face yongsun again.
"So... does that mean you like my tattoo after all?"
Yongsun laughs at that and pushes the other girls shoulder.
"Shut up!"
Byulyi grins at her, and for the first time it feels like there's some light in her eyes again.
Yongsun rolls her eyes nonetheless.
"God, you're a pain!"
Byulyi leans in until she's close enough for her hair to brush against yongsun's shoulder.
"Did you miss me being a pain, ddunie? You must've really missed me to show up like that!"
Ugh.
---
Yongsun stays with byulyi for the rest of the day. She watches her dance, makes sure she drinks enough and lures her into another break with the tanghulu she brought along.
Byulyi seems tired, but lighter than before and finds herself finally making some progress with her moves.
"Ha! Did you see it? I nailed that, didn't I? Totally chic! Moos will be swooning!"
Yongsun chuckles.
"They'll swoon even if you stand on the stage and breathe, byul. But I'm sure they'll appreciate the dance, too."
Yongsun gets up from her place on the floor and gathers both Byul's bag and her own.
"You're leaving?" Byul sounds almost hurt.
"No, byul-ah. We're leaving," She walks toward where byul is standing and gently tugs at her shirt. "Let's have dinner."
Byulyi looks uncertain and casts another glance at the mirror as if to consult with her own reflection.
Yongsun tugs on her shirt again.
"There's more time tomorrow. You've worked hard. And it'll be good to end the day with a success. Besides, I'm hungry and you must be, too."
Byulyi grins as she turns back to yongsun.
"Does that mean you'll treat me to some good meat?"
"You're incorrigible. Stop jumping to conclusions!"
"No, no, I think this means yongsun unnie will treat me to some delicious foods tonight. No doubt about it!"
"You're a pain."
"You love me!"
Yongsun doesn't contest that statement.
She'll also definitely pay for the meal.
----
"Unnie?"
Byulyi is half asleep in the passenger seat on their way home after dinner, voice small and low.
"Hm?"
A hand reaches out to hold yongsun's on the steering wheel.
"Thank you."
A smile tugs at the corner of yongsun's lips.
"Don't worry about it. Just make sure not to go overboard again."
"I promise. I'll remember you secretly love and support my tattoo and it'll make me listen"
"Brat."
"Hm... You like it."
And yongsun does.
---
They reach byulyi's apartment and yongsun parks the car in the visitor lot in the car park.
She smiles when she sees byulyi asleep in the passenger seat.
Finally, she's resting.
She watches the steady rise and fall of the other woman's chest for a few beats, let's her eyes trace over fluttering lashes and gently parted lips. It's been such a long day, it feels almost cruel to wake her now.
But there's no way around it.
Yong runs a hand up and down byulyi's arm, then gently shakes her shoulder.
"Byul-ah. We're here."
Byulyi grunts and reluctantly blinks awake against the lights of the car park.
"Ugh..."
"Let's go," yongsun says gently. "I'll help you carey your bags"
She tugs a sleepy byulyi along into the elevator and finally into the apartment.
They both sneak their way into byulyi's room where they drop the bags.
Byulyi flops herself down onto her bed and reaches a hand out for yongsun.
Yongsun chuckles.
"What? You want me to stay? You're such a baby!"
But she's already halfway on byulyi's bed before she even gets to finish the sentence.
---
"I rest better with you here," Byulyi mumbles after they've both slipped underneath the covers.
It's the truth, even if just one of the many layers to it.
Yongsun smiles against the darkness and the gentle fluttering of her own heart.
"ahh, such a baby for real!"
She rolls over again wraps her arms around byuls slender frame, jokingly cooing into her ear to not betray the true intent of the move.
Byulyi chuckles in the darkness and scoots a little closer.
"I promise to take better care of myself."
Yongsun smiles and breathes the gentlest of kisses against byulyi's shoulder.
"Thank you. I'll be here to scold you if you don't."
Yongsun can feel the gentle vibrations of byulyi's subtle laugh.
"Okay.... Goodnight, yong-ddoni"
"... Goodnight, byul-ah. You've worked hard."

Pokemon Black Nuzlocke - Part 4
Hello! Surprise everyone I got another Nuzlocke update. And for a quick minor spoiler. I tackled two Gyms down in the next part. Might surprise you but I got a feeling the last two Gyms may pose a challenge. But you can read more below!
Back into we go with a Vanillite encounter at the Cold Storage. Once again, I caught a female one and decided to name her BananSplit. Totally spelt it wrong but that shall be her name for now on. Then I went inside of the building to go deal with Team Plasma and level up my team. After that I went to the Gym, watched Ghetsis truly do “totally not villainous” things before busting down the door to challenge his Gym. After buying a bunch of Moomoo Milks because they are surprisingly affordable for the time being.
I managed to reach Clay with no casualties. But then came our battle and immediately after his Krokorok used Swagger, he got a critical hit Bulldozer which Captain thankfully survived. I switched into Queen to handle the incoming Palpitoad and heal Captain back up. Queen then easily took out Palpitoad, but then came Excadrill. Which I’ve heard can be an end runner if I wasn’t careful - or at least I thought so. My main goal was to use Leech Seed and have Queen slowly take it out. After all, she resists most of its moves besides Slash. And I can switch into Captain if her HP gets too low. But thankfully Leech Seed secured the victory after using a hefty Grass Knot.
Another Gym secured with no casualties! I am so happy for my team. Queen and Captain really helped pull their weight. It might be because I get over prepared at times. Maybe a bit too much with items, but I feel like it's fair to use items. I headed to Route 6 and had a battle with Bianca. Not sure if I was supposed to do this before the Gym Battle, as all my team was around level 30 and her team was level 28. But she was easy to deal with.
Route 6 arrived so far all I am getting are Vanillites, which I use dupes to ignore for another. I understand it is because I am playing in winter so most options don’t appear. But I ended up running into a Foongus. A male one, who I decided to cheekily name Voltorb for the encounter. Never really going to use it right now but it shall hang out in the box.
Clay opened the way to Chargestone Cave and I got the TM Bulldoze. And I remember why I like Clay so much. Just like with all the other Gym Leaders. Oh, also N sent ninjas - I mean Shadow Triad - so we could chat. Here comes when N reveals Cheren is ideals, Bianca is truth and the main protagonist is somewhere in between. And it's kind of scary after N apparently walks off and teleports away then Bianca and Professor Juniper appear to explain the floating blue gemstone mechanic. I really miss stuff like this. I get the Lucky Egg and manage to find my encounter for Chargestone Cave - a Klink. Never got one of them before, so I nicknamed it Geartown.
After defeating more of Team Plasma I finally fought against N. We beat him no problem. I arrived in Mistralton City. Skyla had her little speech which led me to Route 7. On the way, Odette evolved into a beautiful Swanna. And I got my encounter as a double - with a male Watchhog and a female Cubchoo. I decided to go with the Cubchoo because I have found memories of my Beartic on my first one. Plus, if memory serves - a Beartic can learn some potential HMs. I named the adorable Cubchoo Snowball and she’ll rest in the PC until I need her.
Arriving at Celestial tower, I climbed up to the top and on my way caught a male Litwick. Decided to name Gracey after Master Gracey - neat Haunted Mansion reference because why not. At the very least, if Ramona faints before I reach the end I can use him. Or if the Modest nature on Ramona becomes too big of a problem to ignore. Plus Ramona also has Hustle as an ability. Though speaking of Ramona, she evolved into a Darmanitan. I reached the top and rang the bell. I really miss stuff like this. But a quick check of the PC revealed how both my Fire-Types have their natures lowering their respective attack/special attack. Whelp. Guess I have to wait and hope Reshiram will have a decent nature.
But now, I’m about to do something risky. I’m going to take down Skyla’s Gym at the same time. I already have a decent pick of Pokemon already prepared for this. Which hopefully, she won’t be too much trouble. By the way, what are the odds of a Trandquill getting off three Detects in a row? Just curious. There were no problems and with my confidence boosted so high in the sky, I challenged Skyla to showcase the power and potential of my Nuzlocke team. And I’d like to say, Pebbles and Zigzagzop clearly brought Skyla down to ground level.
Two gyms down a single update? I might be getting a bit too cocky, considering how N nearly spooked me as I exited the Gym. He wanted to chat with Pebbles - and seriously N, call Pebbles by her nickname and not Boldore. She takes great offense after defeating Skyla. He left about spouting about the Light and Dark Stones.
I plan to end things on this high note for the time being! I am only slightly considered regarding the next two Gyms. Brycen is Ice-Type, but with Ramona I feel okay with challenging it. But the bonus of Ramona getting Sheer Force now, I’m fairly confident in her performance. Though I may train up Gracey a bit, since I don’t think having Zigzagzop would be totally okay. My Zebstrika might have Flame Charge, but I don’t think it would help out as much as another Fire Type.
Though after that will come the final Gym Leader. Who I currently have is either an Ice or Dragon Type in my party. Meaning that Drayden could honestly kick my butt if I went with how I had now. *has flashbacks to his Gym Battle* His Haxorus is scary… I do, at the very least, have BananSplit and Snowball currently relaxing in my PC. I may have to plan to do some extensive level grinding to get up prepared for that challenge. If I don’t end up suffering any unsuspecting battles which end up taking out members of my team.
Maybe it is my experience with casually playing Pokemon and trying to keep a balanced team of Pokemon which has me pretty much not having any deaths so far. Though, I won’t be surprised if an upcoming battle decides to add a bunch into the death category. But for now, I played enough for the time being. Next time, I plan to at the very least challenge Brycen or hopefully get a considerable chunk of the way through to the eighth Gym. Not entirely sure if I’d be up to face Drayden - since I am playing Pokemon Black, which means no Iris fight.
But overall for my team, I can’t help but feel extremely proud of them so far. I knew for the later Gyms, Queen would have to practically be benched since Grass does not fare well against Flying, Ice or Dragon Type Pokemon. But she still carries herself well otherside of Gym Battles. Pebbles was definitely a surprise pick who I thought I’d bench her right after Lenora’s Gym. But this girl’s been proving her weight with her massive defenses enough where I want to keep her around. (And I swear if Pebbles dies, I will actually cry. She may not be able to fully evolve but I’ve grown attached to my rock). Zigzagzop was meant to be dropped after Elesa’s Gym, but he’s actually been proving himself with this latest Gym to keep around. I feel like he has a strong friendship with Pebbles considering I got them back to back. (Even with the funny Jaiden Animation reference.) Captain has been… well, I don’t really like his final evolution but having the Water/Ground typing makes him a good enough tank and Water-Type Pokemon to have on the team. Even if Odette is on the team. He might end up being Boxed, but it may just depend how things go. And Odette has already been showcasing why I needed a Flying-Type Pokemon on my team. Even if she is x4 weak to Electric. Even after fully evolving, she’s already showcasing her worth.
The only dilemma I have will have to be addressed soon. But I really hope even with losing Puppy and Fountain, I won’t have to say goodbye to anyone through a death. I expect to have to switch some out for the upcoming Gyms. Until next time though, which, I do plan to draw what my final team will end up being. And who knows? Maybe I’ll end up finishing the main story of Pokemon Black right on Christmas? Wouldn’t that be a treat?
Smell ya later!

Hi!! So I have a newish little. Weve been talking for 2 weeks. Last night over facetime she got all quiet and sent me a message that said she was feeling little. Its the first time over facetime its happened, I had to role with it but I was a little surprised. What are some good things to do when she feels little on face time (this was a before bed call). She had just finished reading her favorite book out loud
omg being little in call is amazing, when i had a big and we would call and i was little, he would talk to me like a baby, cuz i was a baby, and he would have me count my fingers or colour, or we would sing songs together and watch movies and videos on watch2gether and then right before bed(we would fall asleep on call together) he would tell me to lay down and tuck myself in, tell me to find moomoo and my paci, and then close my eyes and sometimes he would sing me a song to get me to fall asleep and then tell me goodnight and he loved me and i would say it back and then he would turn out my lights via alexa(this was v specific but the fact that he was doing that for me made me feel little and cared for) in calls, treat your little like you would treat a toddler or baby because that’s the exact mindset they are in, ask them the colors of things, get them to play dress up(sfw dress up ofc) colour you a picture, read out loud a child’s book, have them tell you about their day call them cute and baby and such, have them introduce you to all their stuffies, if you get comfortable with them, have them put on a swim suit and take a bubble bath, there’s so many things, please comment more if you think of them everyone!! i hope this helped!!

As promised, Mamamoo completes their year long project ‘Four Seasons Four Colors’ with the release of their ninth mini album ‘White Wind’ on March 14. ‘Four Seasons Four Colors’ had goals of building up Mamamoo’s artistic repertoire by exploring new sounds that are unexpected of the group. Using seasons and colors for the concept gives the quartet wide range to accomplish these goals. Reviewing the last two mini albums (‘Red Moon’ and ‘Blue;s’) have been awesome, and I felt obliged to post about the final piece of the project.
Tumblr media
The concept for this album treats white as the blank canvas for Mamamoo to freely create an array of colors by using the colors they had showcased in the past, conceptually both primary and neon colors. Mamamoo pays homage to their start as they use their bright colors in a modernized way parallel to their jazzy, retro-pop concept of debut. The way they are bolder and cooler with the pop of neon gave me the essence of their previous releases under the primary colors. Even the album cover design used a gradient accent of blue and purple that reminded me of their mini album cover for ‘Purple’ that was released prior to this project, which they first expressed the concept of mixing colors to symbolize a new sound. With all this said and seeing the teasers, I wondered if they were in any way revisiting their old sound.
I’ll be quoting Mamamoo as they gave descriptions of each song in their highlight medley video.
Let’s get to it!
Tumblr media
  ‘White Wind’ Album Art
  ‘Where R U’
R&B song that expresses the heart fluttering feelings of waiting for a destined lover, as if they’re playing hide-and-seek.
This track took me by surprise by how airy and light the production was. The plucked chords reminded me of strings from the violin family, and the flute synth notes created a refreshing, dreamy sound. If you listen closely during the pre-chorus you can hear xylophones chiming in and it plays as a cute little accent. These parts gave me the feeling that I was probably going to transcend into heaven, but the guitar and the main beat helped balance out the mentioned parts  as if to keep listeners grounded. The vocals expressed well about wondering where their future lover is. Although Mamamoo sang lightly, they didn’t sound weak or broken but rather firm. The way the song ended felt abrupt and awkward, only to realize it emphasized the wonder that surrounded the repeated question.

  ‘Gogobebe’ (Title Track)
The song uses the ‘jijibee (…)’ from Kim Gunmo‘s ‘Jjanga‘ as a motif for the lyrics and melody. You will be able to see Mamamoo having fun and enjoying themselves without clinging to past loves or things that have happened.
Mamamoo embodies a liberating dance track here. Solar and Hwasa have entrancing control of the refrain as it draws you in and encourages you to continue partying with the group. Wheein delivers her lines in a sassy and chic way that you can forget her soft side. Moonbyul, raps her self-written lines coolly and with ease, and I appreciate her parts had two differing tones. The chorus’ melody reminded me of R&B girl groups of the 1990’s, which gave a different kind of retro vibe (compared to their rookie funky-pop releases). Within the chorus, the line where the members sang in unison gives emphasis to the theme of letting everything go. Yet, I find the theme ironic when the arrangement and production of this song sounded like it was crafted carefully and intricately. I never would have thought the combination of reggaeton and this latin guitar riff would be tasteful. So this is a fun, colorful track that will make you move in any way as you please.

Check out ‘Jjanga‘ by Kim Gun Mo, who co-composed this track.
  ‘Waggy‘
Bossanova-style song that tickles your heart like a spring wind, and has witty lyrics. It’s a song that’s like listening to a friend who has fallen in love and can’t hide their heart fluttering excitement.
When the simple instrumentals started playing, I already had good feelings towards this song as it sounded upbeat and sweet. ‘Waggy’ really oozes fluttering affection, perfect for the spring season. The vocals are charming as they sing like a fresh breeze, and bounced to the rhythm like animated springing flowers. Mamamoo’s “beagle” humor could not be avoided as they added cute but subtle animal sounds throughout the song. The trumpet solo was a nice, classy touch that rides along the track’s wholesomeness. This quaint song was a little reminiscent to their similar, but more relaxing bossa nova track called ‘My Hometown’ (2016). It was nice to hear Mamamoo do this style of song again as it reminded listeners of their strength in making something a little old sound new while maintaining their boisterous group personality. You can definitely see this come to life as they performed ‘Waggy’ on music shows as they dressed up in various costumes and finding amusement out of  Hwasa’s tsundere attitude.

  ‘25‘
…still clumsy at 25, missing her natural, pure younger days while still loving her own self now, a step closer to her dream by maturing strongly.
Since Wheein holds the color and wind symbol for this project, ‘25’ is the album’s obligatory solo track. Knowing her discography, Wheein is usually the one being featured, or has had a rapper feature on her tracks. It was nice to hear Wheein sound relaxed yet her serious effort was still prevalent. Even co-writing this song, ‘25’ gives listeners a chance to hear a personal, introspective side of Wheein. Besides the lyrics, the smoothness and steady groove of this song gives a sense of nostalgia, especially for those who grew up with ‘90s-early 2000s R&B.  The simple arrangement of guitar and snap beats didn’t overshadow Wheein’s varying vocals as it expressed genuine gratitude. Mamamoo’s fanbase, or Moomoos, would find this track so obvious in style as they are familiar with her leaning towards R&B and soul. It’s a down-to-earth, chill song which acted as a nice break between the livelier songs throughout the album.

On the set of ‘You Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook’ .
Backstage at M Countdown.
  ‘Bad Bye‘
Pop slash R&B track that ardently expresses the painful feelings of not being able to accept an approaching breakup. As the farewell is too painful and bad, a ‘good bye’ is expressed as ‘bad bye’.
This song started off with sad piano notes and I assumed it would be Mamamoo’s classic pop-ballad like the way they performed on music show “Immortal Songs 2” or their diva-esque ‘I Miss You’ (2016). But the thought was immediately denied when the mid-tempo beat with brief pulsating synth high hats, rain drops as snaps, and deep basses came in. The vocals are strong throughout the song, even at their lowest, softest parts. The melody sounded distressing and reminiscent (again) of old-school pop slash R&B tracks of the early millennium. The arrangement briefly alters during Moonbyu’s first rap part, and I thought it was interesting how dark it felt. Overall, listeners can belt out their heartache with some rhythm and soul.
youtube
  ‘My star‘
It expresses ‘You are my star’ to someone who can’t be compared to anyone else. The heavy bass and trendy beat hit you powerfully.
A few seconds of the intro created a dramatic mood. Mamamoo is definitely right when they say that this song hits you hard, especially since the heavy bass drives the song. To match the heavy bass’ booming energy, the vocals had to sound mighty and confident as well. Solar’s tone fits perfectly for this, and Hwasa’s raspiness added some texture as it stands out more when reaching for those loud, high notes. The rap sounded gritty and flowed rhythmically well even though it was so brief. I kind of expected the bridge to be totally toned down, but there were spurts of the resonant notes (in the background) that tells me the energy was not going to be halted at any time. Kudos to Wheein who sprinkles the ending chorus with her falsettos. This song was very enjoyable and can uplift one’s mood.
youtube
  ‘4season (Outro)‘
It’s a song that brings Mamamoo’s ‘Four Seasons Four Color’ project into one. It has lyrics about each of the album themes, ‘moon, wind, flower, and sun’
This definitely ties up the ‘Four Seasons Four Colors’ project nicely. The arrangement felt warm and laid back, and it had me reminiscing of what Mamamoo tried to prove with this project for the past year. It’s parallel to their song ‘Paint Me’, but instead of talking about the colors they mention each season. Like how Mamamoo has described in their highlight medley, the outro encourages listeners and fans alike to continue on making memories with the group, which implied that just because the project is over, does not mean their musical ventures end.

Promoting to vote on M Countdown.
Promoting on Music Bank.
‘White Wind’ for the majority of the album reached the retro vibes in a way I did not expect. Rather than the funk and blues similar in their debut, Mamamoo took elements of 90s-2000s R&B pop and showed a more modernized confidence. It is a unique take of fusing old trends with the current trends of programmed music. I mostly enjoyed the diverse beats and production of this album, thanks to the magic provided by Cosmic Girl, and Rainbow Bridge World’s Cosmic Sound, Park Soo Wang, and hit maker CEO Kim Do Hoon. They were able to provide clean, vibrant backdrops while keeping Mamamoo’s vocals shining upfront. This EP also compiled the gists of previous albums: the freshness of spring like ‘Yellow Flower’, the bold and daring like ‘Red Moon’, and the chicness like ‘Blue;s’. Mixing these sounds gave Mamamoo more to paint with and it has produced vivid and entertaining tunes for any kind of listeners.

Jacked Calves and Running through COVID
So here’s what’s up with me. I reckon I’ve touched more calves in the last three months than in the preceding five years.
I’m not mad about it - it’s a really cool area to treat. It isn’t, however, usually among my clients’ favourite areas to get treated. If you’ve ever had a firm massage to the lower leg you’ll know what I’m talking about.
As usual, I’m kind of talking myself out of a job here, but I’d like to intervene a few weeks/months before you get to the point where we have to demolish your baby moomoos on the treatment table. Even if you’re already at a point where massage feels “necessary”, here’s a secret : it won’t make the hurties go away for good. 99.99% of the time, if you don’t also address the root cause of a problem, massage is only ever going to be a temporary solution.
So what is the root of the problem? To grossly generalise, lately it’s got a lot to do with running.
With gyms closed and team training’s off, a lot more people have taken up jogging as their primary form of exercise - which is awesome. However, some of us are pulling up with particularly sore and tight lower legs, and I think a lot of that comes down to a few main trends I’ve noticed lately in my calf-based clientele.
Increasing volume (or intensity or load) too fast.
The age-old rule with volume is that you shouldn’t increase by more than 10% each week, and your program should include regular deloads. I would add another principle to that : just because you can doesn’t mean you should*.
For example: if your longest run of the week is currently 5km, it should take at least eight weeks to work that up to 10km. You’re probably already more than capable of 10km, but if you up the volume up in one step, you risk overloading the system without giving it enough time to adapt. And that can equal cooked calves.
I get the impatience to get to a goal ASAP, but honestly, you will get there faster this way - rather than making the jump too soon and spending six weeks injured, only to have to start again from square one.
It can be harder to quantify, but the same principle usually applies to intensity (speed) and load (running with weight/ introducing slopes).
A common trap here is people who come in hot from other types of training, and so are fit enough for, say, a one hour run, but aren’t conditioned to that kind of volume on the trot. Similarly, those who used to do a lot of running, but haven’t for a long time, can have a tendency to forget the process of working up to big runs.
Not using the posterior chain for power
I’m yet to meet a struggling runner who hasn’t benefited from activating their glutes and hammies. Often the main mechanism that overloads the calves during running is a failure to produce the necessary force further up the chain. Ideally, the hamstrings and glutes should be generating a significant amount of running power, with that proportion going up as speed increases.
This is particularly relevant for those of us who find that we spend even more time sitting down than usual during isolation, which can cause the glutes to become ‘lazy’. Activating the posterior chain before runs, and training the hips, glutes and hamstrings for strength at the very least once a week are the keys rebalancing your running engine.
Mindset is also fundamental : do you see distance as your only running goal? If 100% of your training is grinding away at crazy long runs no wonder your calves have given up the ghost.
The faster you run, the more you’re going to recruit your glutes and hammies, so try some shorter, faster sessions and interval running with even more speed. You can even switch up the goal of your whole program - are you just training for a marathon because that’s what everyone does? IMHO, a super fast 5km is a lot sexier - and the program is generally more fun.
One of the best things about running is its “functionality” - all humans should be able to move fast on their feet. I would argue that shorter runs are a lot more functional. I mean, if the zombies do come and you haven’t outpaced them over the first few kilometres, I don’t see you doing it over the next 40.
Calf strength
Sorry, but your gastrocnemius and soleus muscles are probably not strong enough for long distances. Welcome to the club, there’s a few billion of us.
I’ve said it before, but if a muscle isn’t coping with a certain load and we can’t reduce that load, then we have to increase its capacity. To try and exemplify this with completely made-up numbers: if the calf is exerting 1 unit with each stride, but your maximum calf raise is only 10 units, that’s a 10% effort on every step. That muscle is going to fatigue fast. If you can increase the maximum to 20 or 30 units, then each step is only requiring 5 or 3% effort from the muscle, which is going to be a helluva lot more sustainable.
Calves, particularly the soleus muscle, have incredible endurance. Just ask any bodybuilder - they will cop an absolute belting without budging in size. You can train them several times a week - ideally in a program that includes concentric, eccentric and isometric exercises at moderate and high loads. Controlled loading, particularly isometric, is also crucial for tendon/ connective tissue troubles such as Achilles tendinopathy and plantar fascial pain.
Technique, technique, technique
This is a mega huge root of the problem. If you’re getting hurt because you’re not running well, then all the massages and foam rolling and new shoes and compression socks and magnesium supps and recovery machines in the world will not make a jot of difference.
Running often gets approached with an “I already know how to do that” attitude. When you set your mind to almost any other sport, you know in advance that you’re going to have to watch and learn from more advanced athletes, repeat drills, progress slowly and get feedback and follow instruction from a coach. Running, however, involves tying up your laces and heading out the door, right? Yeahnah can do, but not always. Even if you’ve been doing it for years or decades, professional input can be a gamechanger.
Obviously you can do it without one, but if you a) are trying to get into running with an existing injury, b) have a history of running injuries or c) are looking to improve performance in any way, there is nothing I would recommend more than an experienced coach.
Our mate Nathan Fenton, of Run Power Coach (@runpowercoach), Enfer Running (@enferrunning) and the Runner Chats podcast puts it much better than I can:
“A lot of people are averse to getting a coach because they feel their flexibility will be taken away; they will be locked in to do what the coach says when the coach says it.  But it doesn't have to be like that.  A good coach will be flexible with your plan and understand that you're doing this because you enjoy it, not because it's your job.  Get a coach to shorten your learning curve and avoid the mistakes that will cost you time and performance.”
So there you have it - my very incomplete list of things that may be making your calvies give you grief. We love comments, so feel free to add yours below!
