Summary: You and Jenna exchange Valentines gifts

2nd Person POV

(5 days earlier)

Jenna and You walked down the mall, shopping bags in hand. It was particularly quiet today which made the experience a little more bearable today than what you're regularly accustomed to.

You two soon came to a stop in front of a clothing store Jenna frequents, one of her favourite stores. However, the amount of people in store was quite substantial and you too could get noticed in public, something neither of you minded if they're fans, but today you two just wanted some quiet

You quickly thought of a solution to avoid being spotted by the public, and also maybe because you didn't want to go into the store yourself because of the people. "Hey babe, why don't you go in the store and I'll stay out here. That way it'll be harder for people to spot us since we're not close together" you suggested.

"You sure sweetie?" She says and you reply promptly with a nod and a smile. Jenma gives you a loving kiss on the cheek "I'll only be a couple minutes." She says and walks into the store, leaving you standing in the mall, looking for anything interesting to pass the time.

Not far from the clothing store was the LEGO store, one of your personal favourites. LEGO has been a comfort item for most of your life, and let's be honest, who doesn't love LEGO.

You walked over to the store and entered it, immediately engulfed with childhood nostalgia and familier sights that just make you feel all happy and giddy inside.

You looked at each set and their themes. They had from Star Wars, Spider-Man, Marvel Comics, Batman, DC Comics, Pirates In The Caribbean, Harry Potter; literally endless options, but you were looking for Star Wars.

There was one set you really wanted, the "Ultimate Collectors Series Lego Millennium Falcon" coming in at 7541 pieces overall. It was massive, and you wanted it.

Though, there was a problem, you were broke. You had just bought Jenna a really expensive necklace for her valentines day gift. You don't regret buying it because you know she'll love it, but you can't help but feel a little sorry for yourself over the fact you can't afford to buy a set you REALLY wanted.

You caressed the cardboard box that displayed the sets box art, and the blocky contents in held within its frame. "One day you'll be mine" you whispered to the large box as if it were sentient.

But unbeknownst to you, Jenna was peeking from around the shop entrance out of your view, watching you stare in awe of the gargantuan LEGO ship. She knew right then and there that this was the perfect gift to get you.

"Oh Y/N/N you're in for a surprise" She chuckled to herself mischievously.

(Present day)

It was the moment both of them had been waiting for. It was gift giving time. You and Jenna have treated yourselves to a valentines day brunch and just got back home. You were eager for her to recieve her gift, and she felt the same about hers.

You opened the door for her upon entering your house "Why aren't just a gentleman" she said, with a kiss on the lips as reward for your politeness. You went over to the spot where you hid the box that contained the necklace and hid it behind your back.

You walked over to Jenna with a smile on your face. She cocked an eyebrow and smirked knowing you had something behind your back. "Honey, what are you hiding?" You smiled as she waited with eager anticipation.

Taking a deep breath, you began "Jenna, in all my years of living you've given me more joy than I could've ever imagined. You're are the absolute light of my life and today I just wanted to give you something as a token of my undying gratitude." You pulled the box out from behind you and presented it to her.

Jenna gently took the box from your hands and opened it. The jewels from the diamond necklace were almost blinding as they reflected across her skin, her eyes went wide as soon as they set upon them.

Jenna was barely able to contain a squeal of pure joy and excitement, settling for a loud gasp instead. A small note was under where the necklace sat. It read "Happy Valentines day, Jenna. I love you. P.S im broke now becuz of u <3 - your forever person, Y/N"

Jenna laughed upon reading the note and tears dripped down her face, which brought a smile yours knowing you did good with your gift. She held both of your hands "You are the champion of making me happiest person in the world, Y/N L/N. You are the kindest, sweetest and most adorable person I've ever had pleasure of knowing and I'm glad to call you, my lover."

You blushed hard at the comment. The two of you leaned in and shared a loving kiss to commemorate the love you felt for each other, a love that will stand the test of time no doubt. Jenna leaned away and continued her speech.

"Which is why I got you something too." You waited to find out what it was but she just laughed. "You're gonna wanna sit down for this one" you were heavily confused but laughed and shrugged. You sat down on the couch and closed your eyes.

Your heard Jenna rummaging around to get your gift, her grunting implied that it was something heavy or large. She placed the large box in your lap and placed your hands at the top, holding them tightly.

"This is something I got for you to show you how much I adore you. I love you so much, sweet boy and there are so many more gifts to come" she says and kisses the top of your head. "Open your eyes, bunny"

You did as you were told and soon recognised the box art from the LEGO set you admired from days past. You let out a loud gasp, mostly out of shock, and Jenna was just enjoying the sight.

You soon begin smiling widely like The Joker and tears brimmed at you eyes. "Jenna..." you sniffled. She really did that for you. How did she even know? "How did you...?" You stuttered, unable to focus on what your voice sounded like. You were too excited to care.

Jenna took her place next to you on the couch "Let's just say I have my ways. Happy Valentines day, bunny. I love you more than gifts could ever describe" She kissed you temple and laid her head on your shoulder.

This was a Valentines Day success for sure.

Just finished watching the deleted scene, and I thought about smth

Why don't Alice get mad and throw a tantrum ? She's a little girl, constantly stressing about not dying and stuff, and she's just standing there, saying "I'm cold Kara" repeatedly and overall being just a little doll you need to take care of. Girl, kids ugly cry for no reason, why wouldn't she ? She could scream at Ralph, scream at Kara, scream at Zlatko, scream at Luther, but she's just there.

That would've made a huge difference in the scenarios, and possibly the most heartbreaking scenes. I mean, picture this : Kara and Luther are shot, and Alice starts screaming, sobbing, shouting pleads or straight up cursing the killer(s) with hiccups in her voice, just to get cut off by a bullet in the head. Reminds me of Gavroche's death smh.

But honestly, I don't even know how they would have a little girl play that. It's really hard to get a child to pretend strong emotions like that, and that's probably why Alice isn't a very developed character. But I'm SURE they could've done it. With a good kick in the ass, I'm sure this would've been a piece of cake for the animators.

Bc when Alice dies, you're sorry for Kara. Not for Alice. That's the problem, we're given zero attachment to her, not the slightest thing that could make her a good, emotional character. Like, give us a reason to not kill Kara immediately other than Kara herself.

Luther too, he's just the big fella that wants to protect his found family. Give us angst material Cage, make Luther have impostor syndrome about Kara and Alice's trust, make him more than a big guy with a so-called "big heart". Cause I don't see any "big heart", just an emergency solution.

And let Kara be angry god damnit. I wanna see the rage to live, the rage to protect. Here I got nothing but empty levels, except the first ones. In them, Kara and Alice can't really be angry, they're just lost. But, like, let them blow up at Zlatko's level, and after. Adam's being a little teen asshole, be agressive ?? He's literally treating y'all's right to live like shit and you're just there, feeling sorry for yourself ? Bruh

welcome back to watchmojo where we are counting down ren's top 5 mike murdock moments

5. Killing Bullseye that one time

so, technically this didnt ACTUALLY happen (or itd be my number one lmfao), it was in a dream Matt was having while he was dying. but listen, okay, mike was still so real for this. bullseye was this close to killing Matt and Mike comes outta nowhere, declares his love for Karen Page, and boom shoots the guy right off a fuckin skyscraper how could i NOT talk about this, okay?

4. Being thrown to the ground

listen, he looks good a little roughed up, alright? what are you, a fuckin cop or somethin? aint it my right as a living, breathing, human being to enjoy pretty boys being thrown around a lil sometimes? damn

for reference: the first photo was when he was pretending to be Matt, trying to deal with some mob bosses. one of them got angry and pushed him down. the second was when mike was first introduced in the soule/noto run. bad guys bust into the bar hes at and matt throws him behind cover lmfao

3. this EXCELLENT reintroduction in the 2020 annual

the 2020 annual is when we get mike's whole backstory and THIS is the first panel we see him in. this is genuinely poetic. mike murdock wouldnt exist without first being made-up by matt (and matt pretending to be mike). we all know the story of matt losing his eye sight, he pushed a person out of the way of a van that was carrying toxic chemicals, blah blah

well. here we are yet again. except everythings flipped on its head. mike is pretending to be matt. he's jumping in front of this van to make the guys think theyve hit him so he can help rob them. he isnt saving anyone but he sure as hell is putting himself in danger. it sets the tone for his whole character. its just. yeah. this was fantastic, honestly.

2. his reaction to butch assualting hammerhead

okay so this was the moment in vol 6 that genuinely caught my complete attention. this was the moment i realized just how different and special mike was.

murdocks are known for, well, violence. jack was a boxer, he wanted matt to grow up and be nothing like him. he didnt want matt to fight only for matt to become daredevil later in life. we are led to believe there's almost this inherent violent streak to being "a murdock"

this is after a mob boss meeting, mike is watching hammerhead (a boss) from the shadows, helping butch keep track of him. he lets butch know where hammerhead is. butch proceeds to threaten hammerhead, bash his head into a car, yell at him, then gouge one of his eyes out.

and, well. this was mike's reaction.

this is the first time we are given a glimpse of mike's morals, his values. besides how much he cares for the people close to him, we find out he has an aversion to violence. he's a career criminal, i'm not saying he doesnt know how to throw a punch, but he goes out of his way to avoid it.

he's repeatedly shown to be a voice of reason, a mediator, and every time a violent solution is brought up, he immediately protests and wants to figure out a different way. that's fascinating to me.

he's breaking the mold of being "a murdock" in the most unexpected way. we think he must be so much like jack to so easily get involved in crime (with even jack saying so himself), but here we are shown that's wrong.

i wish we could've gotten his and butch's convo directly after this. also, another thing, mike's reaction to people he cares about doing something he doesnt approve of isn't to get angry, it's to worry. which, again. fascinating. admirable, even.

when he finds out matt's "in rehab" he's worried, and yeah a little angry, but mostly concerned for his brother. even after this incident, we are seen mike being very worried later. he's concerned for butch's mental state and wants to stop him from making any rash decisions (ie killing someone)

but, yeah. sorry for the damn essay (and heres another) anyways

trying to save wilson fisk from being assassinated

christs sake hes so fucking gorgeous. also ignore matt being an asshole here because that's all he ever did when mike was around.

this was another very interesting moment in which we see mike's strong morals on full display. we are repeatedly told mike isn't the kind of person to be trusted, he doesnt take things seriously, he's morally ambiguous yada yada. and yet.

as soon as he finds out butch is planning to maybe (which he later find out he's correct about) put a hit on wilson fisk, wilson fuckin fisk, he wants to stop it. mike is under the impression that killing someone is not a line you can cross and come back from. he's deeply concerned about the path his friend is headed down.

In this scene, he's coming to visit foggy in the hospital to talk to him about maybe getting butch out of jail while also hoping to catch daredevil there. he does, obviously.

his full intention is to team up with daredevil to try and take fisk down. mike thinks if he can take fisk down it'll stop butch from trying to kill him.

him going to daredevil also shows his ability to extend his compassion to others. he has no fuckin reason to trust daredevil. daredevil has done nothing but insult mike, yell and argue with him, and even rough him up a couple of times. and still, mike decides to reach out because he knows daredevil is supposed to be a good guy. he also knows daredevil is supposed to be matt's close friend.

he brings it up more than once that the reason he trusts daredevil is because of matt being his friend (despite mike and matt supposedly not being close).

so, yeah, i got a little off-topic, but that's why i love this scene so much. it shows not only how deeply mike cares for people, but also his compassion and aversion to violence. he's trying to take care of his best friend and trust daredevil despite their differences. he's showing how good of a person he is and how dedicated he is to his cause of a "bloodless" coup.

“ You know, I have a door, you should come from it, it's less dangerous. ” – Malachai to Yasmeen, who entered his room in the middle of the night by the window

Yasmeen smiled lightly while closing the window behind her. She didn't make a sound, outside of her knocks on the glass.

“Is it really?”

“I'm on the highest floor of the east tower. It's raining outside. The walls are slippery.” He said, and followed his words by handing her a towel. She liked how he kept a distance while doing so.

“I like the height. And the fresh air.”

She welcomed the soft feeling of the warm towel on her face, and then around her shoulders. Noble people always had such fluffy towels. Nothing compared to the rough fabric the servants were occasionally given. She could get used to it.

“What are you doing here? Are you in trouble? Did Rhys claim you ag-” He must've seen her tense, cause he stopped talking on his own.

“Nothing like that.” She tried to steady her voice. She had no reason to be angry, it could've very much been the truth. “You looked tense.”

Malachai looked puzzled. “What?”

“Earlier, on the church. You looked tense. Like something weighted on you.” It was not just the church, where they didn't talk much this time, but the entire day. Yet she wasn't ready to admit that she watched him that closely. “You helped me last night. I figured I could try to do the same.”

“You don't have t-”

“I know.”

He paused for a moment to look at her, deep in his thoughts. Like he was truly debating something. Yasmeen didn't know what exactly. But she knew that it was the first time she wasn't uncomfortable under a man's gaze.

Then, without a word, he went back to the table in the center of the room. The spy followed but this time, she didn't find checkers, but a real war board. She didn't understand. Triton and Morgana weren't at war. Not yet at least.

“The sirens.” Malachai said, like he read her mind. “They're gaining territory lately. ”

Yasmeen didn't know exactly why Malachai trusted her with this information already. But she could see in the way his shoulders sagged that he was truly tired, even if he hid it pretty well. She had just be trained to observe, and right now she could see him fixed on a board he barely saw anymore after hours of reflexion, the red of his eyes expending and his eyelids struggling to stay open until he found the solution to a problem he didn't explain to her yet. She felt the need to assist. She didn't understand why, but wasn't it why she came here? She had noticed him looking tense all day and had dread the worst - her mind had a way to make up the worst scenarios possible in second or less - and she had come to confirm one of them. So she came closer.

The war board was a pretty basic one, simply put on the table - which made sense since Morgana wouldn't have allowed a true war board to be built on the borrowed chamber of the enemy. Yasmeen stayed silent. She had seen enough war council to understand what was happening, but she wanted to let Malachai the option to either confide in her, or change the subject. Still, she was surprised when he started talking (She was always surprised when he told her little secrets about him when they were alone in the church, but this was another kind of trust entirely).

“This is the war base of the Greenland sea. If they manage to take it, they'll soon take control over the Norwegian sea, which would significally extend their territory, and persuade some of the most dubious sea lords to switch sides and turn against my father. If they win this battle-”

“The blow on your father's reign will be too big. And if he appears weak, Morgana will strike immediately.”

They looked at each other with some kind of understanding. Yasmeen saw a bit of mistrust in Malachai's red eyes. He wasn't stupid. It was Morgana that sent Yasmeen as a guard and maid for Calypso, and he was clever enough to know that Morgana probably used Yasmeen's abilities in some other way. It was logical to doubt her. So this time, she talked first, without breaking eye contact.

“And you're outnumbered.”

“Barely. But sirens fight dirty. They're stronger and faster.”

“Prince Nathaniel doesn't seem to be stronger. He seems rather weak.”

Malachai choked on a laugh. “My brother has not fed since he was a little boy. It does weaken him - don't tell him that, though. But those sirens will be freshly fed, and out for blood. And our army has taken a lot of blows lately, and some are fighting other battles. The men I was given are not enough to win this time.” Malachai looked away, which made Yasmeen realized that they didn't break eye contact once. He looked ashamed. “My father wants to send civilians.”

“But they'll die.”

“That's the point. They'll be used as a decoy, a given feast, so we can still win while the sirens are distracted.”

“I see. And do you want to do that?”

“Not really. But I might not have the choice.”

He looked at her this time, and found no judgment in her eyes. Instead she examined the board for a few silent minutes.

“Or you could use yourselves as a decoy.” Malachai raised an eyebrow. “You said it yourself, your army is weakened, and there's other battles to fight. The sirens won't have any idea how many you're supposed to be. You take one part of your army and you make them march to them. You should be amongst them, so the sirens truly think it's the entirety of your army. Meanwhile, soldiers will be hidden on both sides of the zone. When the sirens all came to you, they'll come out. This way, you'll encircle them. And any encircled army-”

“-is a dead one.” Malachai finished, eyes brighting up. “Great strategy.”

“One that doesn't involve sending untrained men, women and children to their deaths, at least.” She drew a smirk from Malachai with her remark but didn't dwell too much on it. “It might still be a bloodbath.”

“Yes, but as you said, only with people who chose this path. And we might actually win... Thank you. Truly.”

He looked at her and she smiled for the first time since she was here. A shy smile, but still a smile. She suddenly became aware of how close they became during this conversation, and took a step back.

He took a moment to gather his thoughts. “Calypso doesn't know about any of it. Can you please keep it that way?”

“I wasn't even here.” She replied, and just like that, this night and many others to come became their secret.

She turned to leave, and she was almost at the window, when he started to talk again, which effectively stopped her.

“It's my home, you know? I was born in the Norwegian sea. I have responsibility over it. If they take it...”

He didn't finish, but Yasmeen could make up the rest in the silence that trailed. She took a decision, here and then. “When are you leaving?”

“In three days.” It bothered her. “Hopefully, I'll return.”

“Do you want to train with me tomorrow?”

His eyes widened. “I thought you preferred to train alone.”

“I changed my mind. Tomorrow, 8 o'clock?”

He nodded. “Also you... you can come here... Whenever you want, I mean.”

“Only if you return.”

“The maybe you could pray for me?”

“You truly think you have to ask?”

He smiled, and she turned away before he could see her own smile. In a breath, she was gone, window closed behind her like she was never there. She couldn't explain why she was so eager to start their training session the following day, but this was a question for later.

do you think there was any other way sophie could've (for lack of a better word) dealt with her human parents when she started foxfire?

Honestly? I don't. Not one that would've satisfied what everyone wanted at that point in time.

I keep going over it in my head and with the cards laid out as they were, I keep coming back to what they chose. And I don't say that lightly. Do I think erasing all their memories of Sophie was good? No. I think it was what they could do to make the situation work that was the least painful for everyone and that they were okay with. We can come up with alternatives, but that doesn't mean the characters would accept that option based on their values

Because there were certain things that needed to happen (Sophie needed to learn to use her abilities, the Council needed to keep elves secret, etc) and there are certain consequences to that. We can go on and on about how it wasn't fair to Sophie's human family that they were involved in this without their knowledge, but that's a separate thing. It happened. And so here we are

The two alternate methods proposed in the series were: Sophie's death is faked and her family mourns her while she lives in secret in the Lost Cities, or she stays with her human family but goes to Foxfire for class (this was a tentative worry Sophie had in her mind, which she didn't express).

Sophie doesn't want her family to be in pain, so for her the death option isn't an option she'll consider. It also raises the issue of if there's ever any encounter in the future, it immediately throws the whole thing off. I know they weren't planning for any encounter, but things happen. This means both sides (Sophie + family) would be suffering through this, and that's not an option she wants if she can avoid it. And she can, hence why I don't think this is a "better" option for her. Some may prefer this, but Sophie wouldn't

There's also her staying in her family's life but going off to a different school. This requires either immense secrecy and stress on Sophie's part to try and hide everything elf related with whatever wild explanation her human family is given, or her family has to be in the know. This all happened at the very beginning of book one when Sophie had no political influence and the council was trusted, and the council would not agree to an entire human family knowing about the elven world just because Sophie's attached to them, not with their whole species at risk. They can't take that chance, so they can't be in the know

Which leaves her with the secrecy, which I don't think is a good option for her. It alienates her further from her family and from her new peers, while also adding incredible pressure on her end to keep up the illusion. It's not sustainable.

There's also the issue of Sophie being only 12 when this all happens, so ultimately her parents get a lot of say in her life. They vetoed Yale, they could veto whatever explanation the elves come up with--like a boarding school she goes to far away. Then in order to get that to work, they may need a beguiler or something to convince them in which case there's the argument of is that still her parents if they have to be persuaded against their natural instincts to create this situation? And it seems like an awful lot of work for something so risky.

All this sums up to: I don't think there's an arrangement with Sophie living far away her parents would consent to, if they haven't agreed to it and have been coerced is that better (I don't think so), killing herself off in her family would cause more pain than Sophie would ever be willing to put them through, and trying to keep everything secret wouldn't be sustainable.

I hate the idea of messing with people's memories, but I truly think it was the solution that satisfied the most parties with the influence everyone had in their world at that time. Maybe Sophie would argue for something different now that she's more open to going against the rules and has more sway, but at the time this, I think, is the best option they had.

You're right about Gwen's passiveness being a flaw. I think she understood her precarious position as a servant & felt couldn't do much on her own. However, I believe that Arthur would have listened to her suspicions about Morgana (he wouldn't have listened to Merlin). Unlike Gwen, Merlin IS in a position to change things but, as the meta points out, he either chooses not to (under advice from the dragon/Gaius) or screws up every chance he gets to show Arthur that not all magic is evil.

Exactly, but from season 3 onward, Gwen wasn't "just a servant" anymore and she knew it. I think she was so used to being invisible (all her life, the noble class must've treated her the way Uther did) that she downplayed her influence with Arthur. He proved many times that he would go above and beyond for her; she was just too used to observing but not sharing her findings.

Gwen had been in a privileged position as a servant who was also Arthur's girlfriend. She'd been a servant preparing herself to become Queen. Perhaps she'd felt her future was uncertain, but I doubt she'd ever thought Arthur capable of banishing or firing her for sharing her suspicions. That's preposterous. She had nothing to lose. She was just too used to watching from the sidelines. She probably thought it best to monitor the situation and not act without hard proof. You're right that Arthur would've listened to her but not Merlin.

But even if we know Gwen couldn't have done more than share her suspicions, unlike Merlin who had the power to change things, she still ended up making the same mistakes Merlin did. Gwen had no way of proving beyond doubt that Morgana or Agravaine were evil, but she knew Arthur listened to her and still chose to keep silent. Had it been anyone else in her situation, she would've told them to share what they knew. Merlin, on the contrary, knew Arthur rarely listened to him but had all the power in the world to find or fabricate evidence to back up his claims. He chose not to. In either case, both were wrong to just let things happen and pray for the best, but, obviously, that was the whole point. That's what the writers had wanted - for the worst case scenario to come to pass.

And, yes, I agree about Merlin, but his worse flaw wasn't necessarily listening to Kilgharrah. It was not listening to him more. Perhaps Merlin could've stopped Morgana and Mordred from turning against Arthur had Kilgharrah not poisoned his mind against them, but, in all fairness, Merlin wasn't much better than Kilgharrah on that front.

I imagine Kilgharrah had once seen or been told Mordred would one day kill Arthur with Morgana's help. He must have figured out the best course of action was to kill them before they grew too powerful. So how was that any different from Merlin seeing a vision of Mordred killing Arthur and immediately wanting to kill him in Arthur's Bane?

Kilgharrah had been thousands of years old. He probably hadn't wanted to take any chances with Arthur's life, hoping Mordred and Morgana could still be saved from becoming Arthur's downfall. Season 5 Merlin had felt the same, but seasons 1 to 3 Merlin had thought it cruel to kill Morgana and Mordred. Thus, he had ignored the dragon's advice without having a backup plan. If Merlin had truly believed Kilgharrah's warnings yet disagreed with his methods, he should've come up with a better solution to the very real threat that Morgana and Mordred presented. Kilgharrah wasn't solely to blame. Even if you believe Merlin should've helped Morgana and Mordred rather than condemning them like Kilgharrah suggested, it's a fact that Merlin had believed Morgana and Mordred couldn't be trusted, yet had done nothing to stop either of them. He had two choices: to either listen to Kilgharrah and kill them (would've been effective), or to prevent Morgana and Mordred from betraying Arthur in the first place. Kilgharrah had planted the scenes of distrust in Merlin's mind, and so Merlin had given up on Morgana and Mordred before they had even become a threat, but that doesn't make him responsible for everything that happened.

Maybe it's because I haven't watched the last three episodes yet, but I don't blame Kilgharrah the way fans seem to. There were times he was vague or straight-up wrong and manipulative, but warning Merlin to kill Morgana and Mordred had been a natural thing to do. Unfortunately, because of Kilgharrah, Merlin had attempted to kill Mordred and Morgana, making both of them distrust him, but from that point onward Merlin had chosen to do nothing to stop Morgana and Mordred. He had known Mordred was an immediate danger to Arthur and that Morgana's powers were growing fast so he had to stop her before she became his match, yet he did nothing. Gaius had advised him to do nothing about Mordred, yet he had still tried to kill him in The Disir. Merlin often disregarded Gaius and Kilgharrah's advice, so they alone can't be blamed for Merlin's inaction and poor choices. Merlin knew Mordred had to die but chose not to kill him. If, like Gaius, he had believed there was a chance that Mordred wouldn't kill Arthur, then, instead of waiting for the other shoe to drop, he should've made sure that Mordred had no reason to betray Arthur. Otherwise, instead of hoping that Mordred would die, he should've done something.

Also, Merlin didn't screw up every chance to show Arthur that magic wasn't evil as much as he created no opportunities to show Arthur magic could be helpful, but, yes, I see what you mean. For example, in Queen of Hearts, to save Gwen's life, Merlin posed as the "true" wizard who had enchanted Arthur and confessed to wanting to kill the King and using an innocent girl to bring shame upon Camelot... Perhaps if Dragoon had simply come forward to Arthur and Uther and confessed he'd been wrong to enchant Arthur and Gwen but hadn't meant to hurt Gwen, that would've given Arthur a new outlook on warlocks. Dragoon could've said he enchanted Arthur and Gwen to show the Prince that everyone was equal or some such bullshit. Arthur would've probably pleaded with Uther to spare the old man.

Howling Love - Chapter 19

*Warning Adult Content*

Camryn's car came to a screeching stop as he parked haphazardly by my house, just outside the garage, luckily he hadn't driven past the driveway into dad's flowers, or otherwise there would've been hell to pay when he woke up.

"Go, I'll get our stuff and follow you," he asserted reassuringly and I nodded, got out of his car and sped walk to the front door, used my key card and got in, I knew what I needed to do first in order to understand the poison that had been used on my dad, my only worry was the time and the ingredients needed to make the antidote.

I didn't have enough of either but I had faith and determination.

So I made my way up to the second floor, then the attic where I knew dad had set up the lab equipment because he was making patents for his new lotion, luckily everything seemed pristine, leave it to my dad to never make a mess.

Quickly I grabbed vials, tubes and solutions, setting the equipment I needed to separate the toxin from the blood and analyze.

"Whoa, I feel like I've just entered a whole other part of your life," Camryn muttered behind me and I scoffed, of course he would find something sweet to say to me about this.

"Need help?" he asked as I placed the last vial where I needed it.

"Yes, check the containers in there if we have any of these ingredients?" I told him whilst typing on my tablet what he needed to check.

"Oakwood sap, really?" he scrunched up his face like always when he was skeptical but I nodded.

[Yes, really] I assured and he accepted going to the neatly placed containers.

After two hours of waiting, with Camryn keeping me from letting my mind wander off with his ridiculous stories of his almost accidents, it was finally ready.

"What are we looking at exactly?" he asked as we stood side by side viewing the results on one of the lab tablets.

"Wolfsbane, redwood, concentrated silver, a variation of snake venom and wait, this marker is for ver-vain but mixed with something else, widowswail..." Camryn trailed off after listing what was on the screen, it was such a complex combination of toxins and ingredients, it could've easily killed a child, it's why dad got sick immediately after ingesting it, enough of it would've killed everyone at the party.

"How did something like this get into your dad's drink specifically, why not all of us?" Camryn demanded and that exactly was my question too, how did something so horrible find it's way into my dad's cup, why not all the other wolves there at the party.

[I don't want to point fingers but this does not seem coincidental] I signed and Camryn nodded eagerly.

"Someone meant for this to get into his cup but who?" he growled out and despite my own curiosity and bubbling anger.

I needed to get the antidote ready and the accelerant, then deal with whoever tried to kill my dad.

So I turned to the list I had given Camryn and we had a few ingredients missing.

[We need mountain ash, white oak bark, fuschia leaves, damphier roots and for the accelerant we need one ingredient, red thorn leaves, it's a well known herb used by healers on werewolves to accelerate healing by chewing the leaves but it doesn't grow in a normal garden, it's unpredictable and tends to choke other plants] I explained to Camryn showing him the images of the ingredients we needed and he nodded in return.

"I know the places marked here to get them but one of these is in the heart of rogue territory, it won't be easy to get," he explained and with that I deflated, I needed the accelerant for dad.

"It doesn't mean we can't go, he's not just your dad anymore short-stack, mine too and if leave now, it'll take about a day and half to get it all," he finally concluded and all I wanted was to hug Camryn.

I was grateful that he was willing to go through all this just to help my dad, it made tears well up in my eyes as he hugged me.

"I got you choco-moose and I'm not letting go," he assured me as we stayed in that hug for a moment longer, then we parted to get ready.

[We're going to need collection bags, that can preserve the ingredients, we also need hiking boots, in fact hiking equipment] I paused as he chuckled.

[What's funny?] I demanded using my phone.

"I never thought our first night or the rest of our lives knowing we're mates would start out with me taking you into the wild," he stated and it caused me to laugh as well.

[I blame you, you're the roguish wolf] I teased and he growled playfully.

"Oh if I'm to blame then I'm sure you can handle this roguish wolf, when he gets wild," he argued pouncing on me playfully, causing more laughter and a refreshing wave of happiness to flow into me, despite what we were headed into, he was still the same Camryn and I was happy.

After getting everything we needed, including my dad's old hiking gear which was what fit Camryn, and of course tons of bottles of water, we had settled into his car.

"Are you ready?" he questioned as he held out his large hand for me, it was warm, enveloped mine fully and reassured me of so many things, he was here with me, so I nodded, I was ready.

So he peeled out of the driveway and sped down the road, it should've terrified me but I guess there was a reason why he and I were mated, the speed, the acceleration, the rush, it was exhilarating for some reason and he smiled my way, as we left an unusual dust trail behind us.

As a sufficient three hours of driving passed, out of pack territory and out of Bridgeton, we finally stopped at a gas station which was positively in the middle of nowhere.

[We need to head east into the woods from here, but there are no roads from here on out, so we have to start that hike] I told him and he nodded after filling the tank.

"Great, I'll talk to the station attendant and see if we can leave the car here, I'll be right back," he explained, placing a kiss on my forehead before taking off inside the slightly rundown gas station shop.

About five minutes later Camryn came back and I had taken what we needed from the trunk.

[What did they say?] I asked in sign language.

"Haggled a bit but he agreed, I'll park it in his garage, he says it's safer there," he explained and I nodded, as I stood to wait for him to park.

Within a few minutes Camryn and I had taken off into the woods, after showing him the map, he had easily found a trail which led where we were going.

I didn't miss how alert he got, he seemed to be in his element and as a wolf, I could tell, the wild was his home, it's how he could navigate so easily, pick up danger before we even encountered it.

"Stop," he lowly hissed as I froze in place, a minute or two passed, I wanted to question why he had abruptly made us stop until I saw the dull gleam of dark grey almost black scales in the grass just yards away from us.

"Black mamba, extremely poisonous but it seems to have had it's fill already so we'll just circle around to be cautious," he explained and that's how I finally breathed a heavy sigh of relief, thanking the Moon Goddess for not just giving me a mate who was an engine junkie but a primal predator too, despite how horrible that sounded.

Another hour of walking had us finding our destination, it was in a small clearing.

I was elated to actually find more than one of the ingredients we needed.

"Isn't that fuchsia?" Camryn asked as we hurriedly walked to where a field of it blew freely in the wind.

[It is and that's damphier, we did it] I happily replied as soon enough I had carefully dug out the plant roots and more so we could grow it at home, then the fuchsia as well.

"It's getting hot, we need to get back to the gas station, get you fed and continue toward that," Camryn mentioned as in the distance he was pointing in.

I could see the outline of a mountain, and since we had travelled well into the afternoon, he was right, it was getting hot and late, so I nodded, we indeed needed to get a move on.

I could only hope getting these ingredients was this easy.

(As the heroes went on the defensive, Athena just watched in curiosity and thought. She had to admit, her foes were a hardy bunch, and ones with guts for standing up to things like the Kokytos. Even the Mighty Eagle being called intrigued her due to the sheer power this unusual bird even had at all, even seemingly warping space to come at speeds no normal bird could possibly reach. However…she had something more interesting to look at. Yes, Aether was flowing in a way that Sam had described…the arrival of a Primal in this world, she had been told. This would require research, as the Aether pooled around some upper class fools in Atlas that wined about their bliss being runes…the Lady of Bliss would do her best to restore it…though this would be far from a proper solution. The heroes would only notice this after the Kokytos was finally defeated…which the Mighty Eagle would prove helpful with indeed, hitting with all the power of a good Limit Break)

(A.N. Given the Mighty Eagle is level skip of Angry Birds, that power comparison to Limit Breaks makes sense to me)

Jackrow, after all the heroes had taken one last swing at the mythic creation: Okay...Has the city finally been cleared out of all monsters for the former slaves to finally live in peace?

N. Trophy: This truly was a waste of time...(Mitchel Smasher: Shouldn't you be watching over those little green men?) I'd rather do literally anything else than deal with those moronic extraterrestrials!...Even that mistake-of-nature bandicoot was less brain dead than all of them combined!

Maleficant: Even so, the many ways they suffer humiliating defeat does amuse even the likes of me...But we still do have tasks to do and I don't believe our master will appreciate the fact we're late because of this...*While the two council members had left via portals, The Four Horsemen used their specific horses to head back to "work" without getting caught by the rebels*

Vortigern at least went being to being solid and not an eldritch abomination in a human shape. "Mario, I think you forgot who my sisters are for a second. Freyja, Hikari, Venat. Your turn."

"I've heard of talking the monster to death but you ridiculed her to the point she lost." Venat appears out of ice. "Though knocking her out was a bit much, she was already questioning herself because of my big brother, you could've just taken the emerald at that point."

A storm gathered and formed into Hikari. "She should be glad Vortigern didn't directly hit her. That wouldn't of been pleasant if she was that easily to knock out."

The black sun in the sky? It became a pillar of regular flames that dropped down and formed into Freyja. "Anyway, as Vortigern saidm it's our town. Void, you too, repair everything."

Void walks out of his namesake. "Got it. By the way, Vortigern?"

"Yes, I'll immediately clear up all the water first."

Void raises his hand while Freyja, Hikari and Venat got butterfly wings and Vortigern claps his hands together. Void proceeded to repair everything ruined by the tsunami right after Vortigern drained all of the water and returned it to where it came from, meanwhile Freyja, Hikari and Venat revived everyone. Since the three were the concepts of death, it was a simple matter for them.

…An awkward silence would pass beteeen the group, as a sudden realization had hit the plumber like a sack of bricks. ‘Oh, sweet spaghetti noodles, that’s true.’

Knocking her out was completely unnecessary, given how she’d already seemed mentally defeated by that point in the fight… Ooooh, she’s definitely not gonna appreciate that when she wakes up.

Obvious mistake aside, the plumber would watch in awe as the mass flooding and destruction had magically been replaced with the sight of a newly restored city…as the previously perished citizens rose up from the ground and back on to their feet with a look of utter confusion on their face.

Well, looks like that solves everything, huh? “ Mama Mia, I almost forgot you guys could do that. Thanks a bunch! “

Now then…he’ll just opt to carry the Violet-haired mermaid over his shoulder, as he turned away from the group. “ Anyways, I’m gonna take her home with me to wait until she gets her consciousness back. Once she’s back on her feet…or more accurately, tail, I’ll see what I can do to help her out with her situation… If the cause of her grief is due to the deaths of her people and the groups of hunters around the world attacking them for sport, maybe we could bring her lost people back and relocate them to a more peaceful environment? “

Maybe it’d be a bit of an extreme solution, but if it comes down to it, maybe he could ask Starlette to make these guys their own planet for the sake of giving them a home free of danger and predators? That’d certainly help, for sure!

Waving the group goodbye, he’d hop down into a nearby car warp pipe with the princess in tow.

As for Sonic…it seemed like he already sped off, somewhere else. If one were to assume where exactly he was going, it definitely wasn’t anywhere close to the shore line.

Answering Eagles questions before the season 3 finale (Part 2/2)

I've received a bunch of questions since 3x08 and 3x09 dropped, so I compiled all the questions into two posts. I had to split them up because Tumblr only allows 10 images per post. Anyway, keep reading to see my answers and enjoy! 👇

There might be some kind of collaboration between Amie and Ludde like last season—we have only heard snippets of Ludde's song submission to the music school and it wouldn't surprise me if we saw Amie perform the song in its entirety in the last episode. I touched on this a little in part 1 of answering these questions.

It seems like Amie singing at the end of the season has become kind of a recurring theme. She performed “Follow” in 1x08 and “Second Sight” in 2x10 (on the radio, but my point still stands). I wouldn’t be surprised if they followed this trend by having Amie perform a new song in the season 3 finale.

I'm not sure if she'll recommend Ludde to the record label, though. I honestly still feel like Amie's whole storyline with sending in a rather basic demo written by two teenagers with little to no experience and then getting praised on it with comments such as "it's going to be a real summer hit" felt so unrealistic to me. Maybe they only said that so Amie would accept their offer or something, but that's still very strange because she would have still said yes without a doubt.

I can understand that they thought Amie was marketable as a person and there was this bonus with her having gone viral before on Felicia's Instagram, but that demo did not seem good enough for me to be immediately released as a single and then have them decide on the spot that Amie would be given a contract.

I mean, come on. It never felt earned because we never really saw Amie struggling with her songwriting journey to achieve this dream. Sending in one demo to one record label and having them immediately want to make a whole album with you just doesn't happen in real life unless the song is extremely good or you have a very unique voice. Amie is really talented but there are hundreds of people just like her, if not thousands. I was never convinced by her getting signed so quickly in season 2.

I understand that they wanted to establish her as a successful artist, but that felt so rushed. I was so sure that the record label would screw her over and steal the song rights to record it with another artist who was already established, and that we'd have to see Amie work even harder to achieve her dreams. But we didn't get that at all. Where was the struggle?

Anyway, I'm getting a little off-topic here. To be honest I have a lot of problems with the writing sometimes, even if I still love the show and its characters. Of course I wanted to see Amie achieve success (and I was happy when she did), but the journey there was so bizarrely easy.

She didn't start to seriously work on making her music career become a reality until season 2. Amie had dabbled in music prior to that, like when she auditioned for the school band and did that performance of Follow, but she didn't truly start to work towards it until season 2 when she decided to have her work sent to professionals in the business. And then, just five episodes later, she gets contacted by the record label in Stockholm.

To put this into context—season 2 took place somewhere around March, and episode 5 around three weeks into April. So when Ludde first started helping Amie it took less than two months for her to get signed. You could argue that the song was just that good or that Amie is just that talented, but it never felt like a realistic storyline to me.

So, back to your question! I need to stop getting so sidetracked while answering these haha. I don't think it would be realistic for the record label to hire a teenager with no professional songwriting experience, likely a very small portfolio of his own work in both size and variety, having a criminal record, and on top of that being infamous in the press for abusing his ex-girlfriend. If Amie offered the ultimatum to her label that she'll only return with Ludde, who has an incredibly bad reputation right now, it feels like she would be running the risk of losing the contract entirely.

There's only so much her label can put up with. We've seen Amie ignore their calls with no intention of reassuring them that she's coming back soon. Honestly, with the way things are looking right now it makes the most sense for the contract to be dropped. By Amie or by the label, I don't know.

The episode description for the season finale says that Ludde will get some sort of justice and it could be about his music (or something related to whatever Andreas is doing).

I believe Amie will be doing a live performance of Ludde's song at a New Year's Eve party in episode 10 but I doubt that Ludde will be picked up as a producer. If he actually does I would find that to be a very unrealistic plot point, to be completely honest with you.

This is an issue I had with 3x08 and 3x09 as well. I had a hard time actually enjoying the moment between Felicia, Klara, and Amie knowing that her family was getting increasingly worried for her and even thought for a short moment that Felicia was lying dead at the bottom of the ocean. All that could've been avoided.

To add, it didn't make a lot of sense to me that when Klara finally decided to call someone she called Amie instead of Elias. An ex-friend of Felicia's instead of her brother who could've helped a lot more. What was Amie supposed to do when she showed up at the hotel, exactly?

I know there was the thing with Klara only knowing Amie's number off the top of her head, but there is no reason why she couldn't have gone down to the reception while Felicia was sleeping and asked to use a computer just to get a quick message to Elias. Like, "hey, Felicia attempted something bad but she's safe with me, we're at this hotel in this room but she didn't want me to call anybody, I don't know what to do". That would've been so much better than keeping quiet about the situation for nearly 24 hours.

I know that Klara probably has trauma from leaving her dad at the hospital after his suicide attempt and that she probably didn't want to go against Felicia's wishes. I understand the first part 100%. But Felicia was in a very bad place emotionally and was thinking that her whole family hated her when that wasn't the case. I feel like in a situation like that you kind of have to be the bad guy just to ensure the family that Felicia was safe. Even if everything turned out alright in the end, it could've gone so much worse if Felicia had wanted to be kept hidden for longer.

The ending of 3x08 was super tough to watch and I can't imagine the feeling of thinking your only daughter/sister drowned herself after you just yelled at her and showed no support. Klara couldn't have known any of this, but I feel like she should've at least contacted Elias if she wasn't taking Felicia to a hospital.

Elias calling Amie would've been an easy solution to this whole debacle but we would've lost the drama. It's still somewhat of a plot hole though, like you said.

The clip you're referring to was posted on Yandeh Sallah's Instagram account, so not in a trailer for this season.

I think that was either just fanservice or it will appear in season 4 since it was posted in May of this year, and I believe the filming of season 3 had already wrapped by then.

It might indicate that Elias and Amie will be a couple by season 4 (this actually seems very likely regardless if this is actually part of a scene or not).

I think Elias is getting increasingly frustrated with hockey and the fact that he doesn't really have any other ambitions to strive for. He was raised with nothing but hockey surrounding him and it's in his blood. Elias got drafted to the US at around the same age as Mats, but Elias left after a year because he just wasn't progressing.

That must feel like a huge step back, and on top of that Mats was probably thriving in his successful career around the age that Elias is now. It's a tough difference in success to have weighing on your shoulders when you're in a team that's second to last in the rankings.

There's even the accusation in the press that Mats paid for Elias to advance in the rankings, and I'm sure that's going to affect his career negatively.

I think Elias overworking himself could also be the result of him feeling like he has to prove that returning to Eagles—a small club that is probably having their worst season ever—was in fact the right choice and not the death of his elite hockey career. That choice was very questionable from the very start and his agent advised against it. Even Mats found it strange. Elias said that he didn't really have a choice most likely because of the clause in his contract, but then he also claims to Mats that things just turned out that way.

Ludde: You don’t regret coming back [to Eagles]? Elias: I didn’t really have a choice.

The idea that he didn't have a choice in the matter doesn't seem accurate. His agent told him there were other alternatives like Jokerit (a professional ice hockey team based in Helsinki, Finland) and that they could find something better than Eagles. Elias seemed kind of defeated already and the decision to return to Eagles didn't feel thought-through at all. It's almost like he just didn't care.

Agent: [...] Jokerit has called and I’ve had a great conversation with them, so they’re on. Elias: You know what? Let’s skip all the trouble. Let’s go with Eagles, it’ll be great. Agent: What? Elias: I’m so tired of moving all the time anyway, plus I’ll be close to my family. Agent: Wait, I thought that you— Eagles has big economical problems, and… Sorry, but their season started awfully. We can get a better team. You understand, right? Elias: Yeah, but we can’t get a team that needs me as much. Plus— If they say they want to see development, I’ll give them that. Agent: Wait— They’re under the line. We’re talking about qualifying down directly. You can’t in earnest believe you’ll change that on your own. Elias: It’s perfect. I’ll only go up, as you like to say.

It also seems like he's maybe realizing that hockey isn't everything and that there are other things he might want to explore and pursue in his life. I think Elias is feeling kind of stuck right now. He's been training his whole life for one purpose which is a professional career in hockey, and maybe he feels like Mats wouldn't allow him to quit. That option doesn't exist to him.

Like you said, Mats had that comment where he labeled Ludde a "quitter" and Elias stressed the fact that there shouldn't be anything wrong with losing interest and deciding to pursue something else.

Mats: Can you imagine that he’s just quitting? I mean, I’m completely— He really didn’t strike me as a quitter. So fucking close. [...] Elias: [...] Ludde, he’s… He’s not a quitter, he’s just didn’t want it anymore. That should be fair.

However, quitting is seen as failure to Mats. Mats dropped everything when he got drafted. He left his relationship with Petra seemingly without a second thought, because hockey comes before everything for Mats. Felicia even mentioned back in season 1 how her father was just a voice in a telephone for most of her childhood. He barely had any presence in her life because he was busy with hockey.

When Klara tells Elias that he's always putting hockey first, he gets angry but he doesn't outright deny it. In fact, he kind of changes the subject to shift attention away from Klara's claim.

Klara: This— You haven’t changed at all. You’re always putting yourself first. Elias: Excuse me? Klara: Yes, it’s either you or hockey. Elias: Stop! What the— Klara: I can’t take this. Elias: Are you leaving now? I wasn’t the only one you dumped. You’ve been acting like shit to Felicia. Yeah, and Amie and Ludde too, for that matter. You haven’t thought about that? So don’t come here and say I’m the egoist.

This is kind of an interesting thought—that maybe Elias subconsciously knew that was Klara is saying is true to some degree and that he has been putting hockey first. He decided to get on the train to the draft combine in Seattle instead of staying with Klara, and a year later he realizes that things didn't turn out the way that he'd planned and he returns to Eagles.

Maybe Elias is trying so hard to be someone who he just isn't, and it's affecting so many aspects of his life negatively. He lost Klara, he had to repeat almost his whole last year in high school because of moving to the US, and now he seems to be stuck in Oskarshamn. He's previously expressed to Amie that this isn't necessarily where he wanted to end up.

Elias: [...] Hey, is it just me or is there something about this town that… It sort of feels like no matter how much you try to get away, it… It pulls you back somehow.

It's kind of strange that he doesn't want to be in Oskarshamn, and yet he was the one who chose to return. Maybe he somehow feels like he has some purpose there because it keeps pulling him back. He just doesn't know what that purpose is.

Elias tried coming back to Eagles to turn things around for them, and they did win a game against the Capitals but that victory was later tarnished by the fight that broke out between the two teams (and to add to this, the loss of Ludde who used to be one of the star players and Klara as a sponsor). That kind of overshadowed their whole victory. Elias was very determined to do something to help and it very much feels like he needs Eagles to succeed—he needs to sort of "redeem" himself.

Elias: [...] Can I do anything? Can I go talk to— I could go talk to the sponsor. Mats: Let’s deal with it later. I’ll solve this. You have to go to school now. Elias: But we can finish talking— Mats: You can— No. Try to think of something else. Alright?

I think that Elias's desperation for Eagles to do well could absolutely lead to him eventually deciding to be a coach. He doesn't really seem to want the life that Mats had after seeing how success turned out for him—a broken family that he barely cares about because hockey occupies his mind more than caring for his children or repairing the relationship with Leila.

I think Elias being a hockey coach could suit him, but I would also love to see him exploring things outside of hockey—maybe even his interests outside of sport entirely.

I kind of agree with you on this. Klara has apologized to Felicia and been forgiven, but we've never seen her properly apologize to Amie for filming that video of her and posting it on social media. Amie and Ludde were in the wrong, yes, but that video being posted was humiliating for both of them. They had to deal with the ramifications of that for months after with the whole school judging them in silence.

To be fair, the video was posted a long time ago in the show's time frame (nearly two years ago if I'm right?) and they all kind of moved on from it. To add to this, maybe she felt it would've been kind of awkward to apologize with Felicia in the room.

Felicia was so hurt by that video being posted and I think it would feel very weird for her that Klara would apologize for posting the video when it's the sole reason Felicia found out what had been done to her. Without that video, she would've probably gone a few more months without being told what happened at the Halloween party.

I'm waiting for a Klara and Amie reconciliation in this season finale. I feel like this is something that should be discussed between just the two of them, and maybe they'll sneak in some blessing from Klara with the whole budding Elias and Amie relationship? I'd be happy with just a reconciliation, though, but I'm unsure if we'll get one. I have a feeling they'll start the season finale with a time jump and I don't know if Klara is even going to be in Oskarshamn by that time.

If we don't see them reconnecting in the season finale I will be pretty disappointed, to be honest.

This question was sent in a while ago but as season 3 had just started airing I was very excited to see the development of Elias and Amie, mostly because the director had been hinting on Twitter that something would happen between them this season. I've been really interested in them ever since 1x03 and so far the wait has been worth it.

I think all episodes have great visuals, but if I had to pick one I would probably say 3x06. All those shots of Elias and Amie on the walk through the park, the drone shots, and then the view from that bench spot were so gorgeous visually. That answer is more of a scene rather than a whole episode haha, but I think they really made the beauty of Oskarshamn stand out in those shots.

I think Amie will have some sort of performance in the final episode of a new song and that Elias will be watching her! After reading the episode description for the final episode and seeing that there will probably be some New Year's Eve party going on, I have a feeling that Amie will be performing. She's always had a performance of a new song in every season finale and this one should be no exception.

They tricked us a little in the season 3 trailer with us thinking that Elias would be at one of Amie's concerts in Stockholm, but now I'm sure that this scene fits in at the New Year's Eve party.

I think we should keep our expectations low for a kiss between Elias and Amie. They just started developing their relationship, and I like the slow pace they're going in. They're not rushing anything. I also have this feeling that their development has deliberately been so slow because they're sort of "saving the best for last".

Elias and Amie are fan favorites and their relationship has been very talked-about from the beginning. I can see the writers maybe having decided to push their relationship more towards the end of the show, which is why we haven't really gotten any Elias and Amie content until now. That's frustrating if you're impatient and I've seen some people thinking that maybe Elias and Amie won't happen at all, but I don't think we need to worry at all. The fact that Elias and Amie's development has been so slow should indicate that they're much more likely to be endgame.

A kiss in episode 10 could definitely happen, but I don't know. Maybe they'll drag it out further. As I've said before, if they don't get one in season 3 they will absolutely be getting one in season 4. I've noticed that it's always best to keep your expectations low when it comes to this couple.

The episode description for the season finale said this about Elias, which some have interpreted to be about Amie.

New Year’s Eve is here. [...] But is Elias brave enough to say what everyone else already knows?

This could mean anything, really. I'm actually leaning more towards this being about an individual thing rather than Amie being involved. It could be about Elias admitting that he's been overworking himself and not eating properly, or coming clean about the fact that maybe he doesn't want a career in hockey. This is something that everyone else already knows, so I think it might be about hockey.

Felicia has observed the overworking, Mats has told him to stop with it, and Ludde might've had some inkling about it while he was still on the team. Even Amie has probably also noticed that he's been spending a lot of time at the gym lately.

I could absolutely be wrong about this though.

This is a hard one because season 3 has had so many strong episodes already, and usually my favorite episode ends up being the season finale because it's basically the culmination of the whole season. I really loved 2x10 for this very reason since the ending montage was so well done.

If I had to pick between 3x01 - 3x09 though I would probably have to say it's a tie between 3x04 — Date night and 3x05 — Wounds! These two episodes showcased what Eagles should be all about so well, which is relationships plus the struggles you go through as a teenager in a small town, and then of course hockey. The hockey game episodes are really good, even if I don't think 3x05 topped 2x05 (the game where Ludde got tackled and knocked out).

I loved the contrast in Date night of the budding relationship between Elias and Amie and then that fight between Felicia and Ludde on the cliff. That whole scene between Felicia and Ludde on the cliff was actually really beautiful, especially when the sun had gone down.

It was interesting to see how this sweet gesture from Felicia turned into a fight between the two of them. I thought that was very realistic, because no matter how big of a gesture Felicia made to apologize there were still underlying problems that they needed to talk about.

I also loved the "non-date" between Elias and Amie in this episode. It was cute to see them goofing off before the movie started and then talking about it on the way home. I liked how Elias could connect to her on how they had both returned to Oskarshamn.

The recent episodes that dropped last week (3x08 and 3x09) were very strong and discussed some important subject matters, but I had a few problems with them that I discussed in a question above. They were dark, but not necessarily bad because they needed to happen.

However, I have to say that I prefer Eagles when it's about hockey and teenage relationships. 3x04 and 3x05 made me kind of nostalgic for season 1 and I liked the vibe they both had.

I agree, but I think we could maybe get a combination of both! Relationships can have all these romantic and sweet traits like you described, but also be more passionate and show public displays of affection.

I think Elias and Amie fit the more laid-back and sweet characteristics, but we have yet to really see what Amie is like in a relationship. We've seen her with a crush on Ludde and we got a glimpse of that thing she had with Robin (which was apparently a relationship but I did not pick up on that at all), but we don't really know what Amie is like in a relationship. Maybe she's never really had a "real" one, either.

Nevertheless, I'm excited to see what's in store for Elias and Amie. I'm very positive that they will eventually become a couple in season 4.

“No time to lose, I have to run you through your situation and your purpose for being here.” The "person" said, not giving her enough time to question anything. He grabbed her arm and harshly pulled her away somewhere safe.

She was stunned by this person. He was tan and dressed in elegant dark clothing. His hair has such an iridescent glow, from her artistic eye, it suited him very much. If they were in any normal situation, she would swoon! She was a sucker for these looks.

But they weren't in any normal situation, more likely they were in danger. He led them inside a hollow tree. The tree big enough to house them both. She was smart enough to keep quiet when she heard the Hilichurls rumbling down their path and past their hideout.

Once the coast was clear, she immediately backed away from this beautiful stranger, unfortunately. 'Who are you and what is going on? How did I get here? And I sure know there wasn't any character from Genshin who looks like you!?' she whispered shouted.

'Unless they updated the game...' she added later on.

'You deserve every right for an answer.' the stranger started. 'I am Dantalion, a Great Duke and The Keeper of The Forbidden Library. Much like you, I am also an "outlander" as one would say'. Dantalion informed, dusting off his sleeves and readjusting them before continuing. 'Your situation might be unbelievable but we are inside Genshin. In Mondstadt to be exact−'

'Mondstadt?!'

'Yes, as I was saying. You are here for a reason. And a reason I am involved with. I excel at most things especially ambitions for me and my people. But my peers and I don't see eye to eye, so I decided to leave them for me to achieve my goals and desires. They're very boring and dull that they can't even perceive the sparkling future I am seeing through my eyes.'

She listened to him ramble on. It was quite a long introduction. He was sure full of himself, she thought. 'So, were you suspended from your position?' she concluded. Observing that he is so sure and seemingly arrogant, she was pretty sure his "peers" had enough of his obnoxiousness and other deeds worthy of this suspension.

Silence.

'I, wasn't, no that is not the case my dear. For I am a Great Duke! How dare they punish me?!' he raged, tone laced with venom. But he immediately composed himself and continued.

'Unfortunately they blocked all portals going in and out of this world. Basically we are stuck here, but I have devised a solution!' Dantalion conjured up a book, only its pages were missing. It was very elegant like himself. Golden edges and a crest in the middle of the dark cover. The crest was hollow and it seemed to indicate that there was something that belonged there in the first place.

'Document every elemental power, draw every powerful weapon, and the magic gathered in that book would be powerful enough to conjure a portal. You'll be back home, scot-free and I have another collection for my library and therefore, earning my redemption. What do you say? Its a pretty good deal if I say so myself.' He chuckled, mostly to himself.

She just sighed and kept quiet. Everything was going on so fast and questions piled up in her head every passing second. Any questions, uh, I'm sorry I haven't gotten your name yet?'

She was still admiring the covers of this cover when she was asked for her name. 'Oh, my name is−'

'Oh tut, not your real name. I already know.'

Then why'd you asked for my name?!

'It's also mundane and boring. How about I pick one for you?' boisterously speaking, Dantalion turned around. She was getting rather irritated by this man and looking defeated, she sighed. 'Alright then, what it'll be?'

Dantalion hummed and smiled and summoned yet another book. He flipped through its pages. The cover is pastel pink with green vines adorning it and instead of a hollowed crest on the middle, a flower was in its place.

' IRIS. That'll be the name you'll be using here.' He declared. She made a shrugging gesture, hinting that she would go with it. She kind of liked it, since she also agreed to his notion about her name. Plain and small, was what she thought.

'Now!' Dantalion slammed his book shut and it poofed out of existence. 'Any questions Iris? suggestions or violent reactions? I may be a Great Duke but I also value my companion's concerns.' he continued.

Even though she was info dumped by Dantalion, she caught on pretty fast. What must be done in haste but also questions lingered.

'But why specifically me?' she started her barrage of questions. 'My peers gave me a few options on who'll accompany me in this journey. I chose you since you seemed to be knowledgeable on the lore of this world.' He replied.

'And you're good with arts, which I am very proud of, so our job of documenting would be fairly easy!' Dantalion had this excited spark in his heterochromatic eyes.

'Me? Knowledgeable?' Iris scoffed. 'But I haven't even personally played the game yet. I'm pretty sure there are others who would be far more cultured about Genshin and have played the game.' She explained. Because, honestly!

'Dantalion, this is where your plan would inevitably fail. I only know snippets of this worlds lore and story. The players know more than I would. I may be good at art, but there are also players who are exceptional.' Iris proclaimed, hands crossed while looking up at him, his face contorted in realization.

'Say, did you really thought of your plan thoroughly?' Iris turned towards him. His face has darkened and his arms crossed. She could've sworn she saw a vein pop.

Dantalion sighed, his tense shoulders slumped and walked towards her.

'Look, they haven't given me much of a choice of what I should do to get back and who will accompany me.' He said truthfully, Iris thought that he was.

'You and I both don't want to spend another second in this world−'

'Oh, I don't mind actually.'

'I− what?'

'Yes, I don't really mind. I kind of think it as a... vacation from reality, you know? And I don't mind documenting for your "Forbidden Library."' she respondedadding air quotes. 'Feels like I'll be contributing something big.'

Dantalion was taken aback by Iris' eagerness and nonchalance. Earlier she was questioning every detail, and he bet she would ask for more later, about her being there with him.

But this caused Dantalion to smirk in amusement. 'You are quite interesting−'

Suddenly, they heard cracking and crushing of something. They both looked up and saw that their hideout had been pulled out of its roots and revealed themselves to their pursuers. They see the Hilichurls have recruited more of their kin and what's worse is, there's a Berserker amongst them.

'Run.'
