Ok listen I get people are upset again bc of a con statement but did we collectively forget it’s not even certain Cas is in the prequel isn’t it a bit quick to say “Jensen’s answer dooms future destiel” if we don’t even know if this hypothetical “future destiel” even exists

Kripke tweets apology, says he thought Jared already knew, deletes all his tweets mentioning the prequel (not unlikely most of the people answered with "just talk with each other on normal gc").

Fandom full of respect for Jensen's aunt, who was furiously commenting under Jared's "don't harass anyone" tweet condemning his behavior, and behavior of his stans.

Jensen confuses fandom by tweeting 2 (!) times in one day. Then changes his twitter bio and header and bails. First one is a quotetweet of article listing all the hopes for the prequel. Jenesn's reply suggests that there will be no retconning, series is supposed to be canon-compliant. Second tweet is containing a link to yet another article about the series with short description (in which jensen says he's gonna log off for today).

Bio got changed from "Supernatural hunter. On T. V. and in real life." to "just soldiering on". Fandom sad, devastated, gutted, but mostly annoyed by the timing.

A group gathering spn scripts releases a script for 12x15 "Between Heaven and Hell". Script contains changed/cut line in which Crowley says "Trust me love, it can always get weirder" to Dean. Edit: the group released script for 12x16 "Ladies Drink Free" as well

Misha publishes a video to encourage people to take part in GISH summer hunt. In the video he sits in the bathtub shirtless, with not-his dog, that decided to take a bath with him.

hi! so, first of all I was debating if I even should send this ask because, in the end, who cares, but the "rant away" text convinced me lol. anyway you don't have to respond to this. but i wanted to say this for quite a while actually that even though i don't agree with you on everything (I actually am a destiel shipper 🤷🏻‍♀️) , but I have to admit I admire how you take no shit from anyone and how consistent you are in your opinions and how you expose idiots in the fandom. seriosuly, I respect that. I think the fandom, while always divided, has suffered from post-november-5th influx of twitter stans (i don't even want to mention cursed tiktok). and I admit I have been lurking on your side of the fandom for a looooong time (i always like to see opinions from all sides and have full picture, and I am in the fandom since 2011) and damn, you were really correct on calling out some destiel shippers on not watching the whole show. it's insane to me because while Cas is my favourite character, and once again, I ship him and Dean, sue me, I can not imagine skipping first 3 seasons???? they were crucial to Sam and Dean??? and people really DO THAT. and sometimes i am SO ANGRY at the takes i see on my dash. so so so angry. because people miss the point. so many points. and these posts get popular and are later adapted into fanon that people who haven't seen the show even once, consider canon. jesus christ 🙆🏻‍♀️. and the worst thing is, that you have to be very careful on what you say to who because one wrong word and you're labeled a real life incest supporter, pedophile, homophobe etc. and everyone blocks you meanwhile all you said was "hey i think there was a problem with the confession scene....."

sidenote, i think that also might be why it's hard for real cas girls to find each other. everyone is scared of properly addressing and criticizing the confession scene because, okay, when i saw it live i went insane i was so happy but then i rewatched it and had some critical thoughts about it i had no one to share them with, lol.

I know that your opinion is Cas should have stayed dead after 7x02 (and i don't agree. i was happy to have him back) I do agree the writers didn't know what to do with him, which is incredibly sad. they couldn't decide if he should be a human or an angel so they made him something in the middle which sucked for him as a character and us, his fans. they could have for example just make him human and a recurring hunter (like for example garth but maybe more often?). what do you think the wirters could have done with the character (apart from keeping him dead) that would make you like the character more? if you care to answer?

also, the prequel. i am facepalming since june 25th, 2021. thus should not be happening lol. whatare you gonna bet there is gonna be some actor from riverdale on that thing? cole sprouse as young john anyone? (probably not though, i don't think he will sign any contract with the cw once the one he has expires lol) lily reinhart as mary? haha

sorry this really turned out loooong. i was keeping it in for a while. also i may have had a glass or 5 of wine. hehe. for any mistakes i am sorry, english is not my first language. i tried to check for mistakes, but i hope you can understand the point, which is, i admire your consistency in opinions and exposing idiots.

As for your question in regards to Castiel and his return in Born Again Identity, frankly my darling, I feel that there was nothing more they could have done with Castiel to keep the character fresh.

That's why Sera felt confident in killing him to begin with. Bringing him back only kept ANGELS in the show and that was also a bad idea.

Of course now, that is all water under the bridge.

I am sorry that hellers have tarnished your dash. But I'll let you in on a little secret, many destiel shippers like yourself, (clear headed and not batshit crazy) have found themselves over on this side of tumblr.
