This fandom created a myth about Lady Whistledown. Sometimes i wonder if i watched the same show. Let me make myself clear: While Penelope has to tell Colin the truth, because she loves him and he deserves it, LW helped the Bridgertons a lot actually. It saved them to have Daphne married to a creep ( and see how Violet wanted people to talk to reach LW and spread), saved Colin from a loveless marriage with children that he didn't know anything about it and saved Eloise. Yes, it saved Eloise. Eloise created and kept pushing the situation in her reckless pursuit. Eloise also didn't think about the consequences of her action towards the people working for LW, didn't listen to Penelope, didn't think about the risk she was putting people at. And while i understand her anger in not knowing, had she been a better friend, many other things would be different, because she truly never paid attention to what Penelope feels or want, she molded Pen to be whom she wanted and be her audience. And then, she left Pen with the choice of losing all she built and suffer consequences or pick the less harmful option: to make Eloise's scandal about politics, not romantic and save them both, plus Theo. The real ruin for Eloise would've been her being caught with Theo, something that was bound to happen as she was not careful at all. Why should Pen sacrifice all for Eloise? Would any of you sacrifice all ( job, family and possibly your liberty) for a friend who caused the bloody situation? I'm no hypocrite, i know i wouldnt. Not to mention Eloise bravado, to Pen she would say she wants to challenge society and doesn't care about what they think...but folded the moment she received a frown from the Ton. Shall we see who are LW victims, people that suffered real consequences? Lord Beerbrock. That's it. Marina is married, despite her lies and deceit. Colin? Nothing as well, in fact, happier than ever. Eloise? A few weeks of ostracism and she's back without a problem, without a romantic entanglement to ruin her. One that she clearly didn't really thought was deep enough to face society. The Bridgertons have more to thank LW than to hate her. And Violet and Anthony, i bet your asses, do think so, and see it. And The Queen? Are you watching the show? Have you seen Charlotte's personality? That woman loves the whole game with LW. And She loves to take it all, to receive the laurels of that society. As long as she can make it look like the won, and she can, easily, by revealing or be involved in revealing who is LW. See the whole KatexEdwina, how she handled the Ton there.

Anyway, just wanted to say something because some people have dreamed a LW that doesn't exist at all. Created on their own minds a boogeyman that wasn't simply reporting the truth with witty opinions but fabricating stories and lies to ruin lives, and that's simply not true. Never happened. There was never a lie created there. Only the truth, even about herself, as Pen was often damaged by her column.

I've read lots and I mean lots of SAGAU content. People have different interpretations, so here's mine! Well, at least an idea of it.

Tw: Brief mention of Tartag going bozonkers on murder, perhaps general creepy, very unorganized since this is just an initial idea

Alright, so MC can control characters but isn't aware the characters can understand whenever they speak or what their next plans are in the game.

This leads to the controlled characters making odd voice lines often.

Like Xiao? He'll be like, "Adepti aren't meant to follow orders from outsiders. But...I'll make an exception this time." And then he'll proceed to try and burst out as many crits as he possibly can.

But here's the thing. If MC doesn't have the character at all, they aren't aware of MC. So this leaves all the MC's and unobtained characters very confused when the ones that are being controlled starting mutter random bullshit about a deity.

The ones that are directly in MC's party of course are probably the worst in terms of their obsession and admirance. They'll always try to ruin pulls on the gacha, or try to sneak creepy ass voicelines once in a while.

For example, Tartaglia, "Being covered in blood is something I don't mind. As long as I get to serve you. You're my idol."

Also, depending on the character's personality, MC will get different buffs for gameplay.

For example, more lighthearted characters like Ganyu or Nilu will get buffs for passive things like drop rate or decreased item respawn time.

Meanwhile, aggressive characters go all for the buffs for battle. Crit Rate, Crit Atk, Elemental mastery. You know, the things you always ended up farming for.

Also, the more manipulative/conniving characters will affect your gacha pull rates. Other personality types can too, but these fuckers will refuse to let you have your pull.

Another thing I've thought of is how the characters' backgrounds affect how they view MC. More so on what kind of attraction to them.

Like the little kids obviously see MC as a guide or an older person to look up to.

The teenagers see them as either best friends or a first true crush kind of deal.

The young adults will most likely be romantically obsessed with MC, unless their backgrounds say otherwise. (Idk, hints that they're aro or something).

The archons and the older, non-human ones will often...feel entitled. They think that you should listen to their guidance or be grateful that they're in love with you. Because why else would you be so stuck on trying to use their power?

Anyway, that's all I have for now. This is just an initial idea. I hope to get some content out soon. On more specific characters to be exact.

so, in the midst of me constantly thinking about and analysing phum, i didn't write that much meta on peem or really think about his reasoning too much. for a long while, i dismissed his slightly erratic behaviour as a response to phumpeem's initial meeting and how their relationship has been set up because of it, but this episode solidified the fact that that's not it.

instead, for whatever reason, peem is insecure.

the most damning piece of evidence for this, i think, does not involve phum at all (and that is exactly the reason why it's such good evidence). though the majority of this post will still be about phumpeem lmao.

so, when peem claims that there is nothing going on between him and phum, kluen says that means he still has a chance, which gives us this confused face:

nothing in the world could produce this reaction in these circumstances, aside from insecurity. kluen isn't phum. he and peem don't have any bizarre backstory together, and he is very direct about his romantic pursuit. he explicitly said he came to the camp to hit on peem in front of all his friends and he reiterated the sentiment by saying what he did in this scene. the only kind of person who would need a clarification, when things are laid out that clearly is a person who is insecure and therefore has a hard time being sure about the fact that someone likes them and/or is actively trying to hit on them.

now, onto the star of the show: phumpeem! what do we know about peem's pov of their relationship at this point? 1) he has fully admitted that he likes phum, to the point of literally calling himself out on even trying to deny it. 2) he is happy about the fact that he likes phum. we are leagues away from the possibility that he has any issues with phum or the fact that he has a crush on him, which we have so much proof of, whether it be him actively enjoying the fact that phum is trying to get his attention, him looking at phum as if he hung the moon and calling him prince charming, him literally giggling and kicking his feet at that memory the next day, him instantly forgiving phum because he genuinely trusts him and thinks he is a good person, even if he makes mistakes sometimes, or any of the other clear signs that he is enjoying what's going on between them, both in the moment and in retrospective.

and now, let's take a look at all the moments from today's episode through the lens of peem's insecurity in himself and security in his feelings / phum:

him acting a little weird and distant after hugging phum the whole night, very reminiscent of the way he acted the day after their first kiss. both times after moments when peem made the first move.

him acting genuinely confused about phum's behaviour towards kluen, despite getting a fairly clear confirmation that phum is jealous when he literally bribed a child to get peem away from kluen. this is definitely not a "what a weirdo" face, this is a "wait, what's going on here?" face. he does not get it.

him claiming there is nothing going on between phum and him, despite clearly wanting that something and being in the depths of the talking stage, which is definitely a real relationship stage to him, as that was how he described chain and toey to q.

him looking a little heartbroken, when phum says he wants to call off the deal, as if that would actually mean that they stop spending time together.

him confirming that that is indeed his fear, when he literally looks terrified at the prospect and fully asks to continue being phum's "slave".

him not being able to admit why he kept the flowers

or making up a lie about not having finished the painting, even though he definitely has, because he literally said so to his aunt.

and him answering a question with a question, needing to hear the fact that phum likes him directly first, before he confesses back. which, in all this context, just doesn't read as stubbornness.

all of this makes sense, if you consider the fact that peem is insecure and is afraid of reading into other people, when what he's trying to glean is their opinion of him specifically.

one big thing that he constantly repeats (this moment is far from the only time he says that in this episode alone) is asking phum to tell him what he thinks directly. mind you, unlike phum, who is just constantly deeply confused about everyone and can't take implications for shit, peem is actually absolutely incredible at understanding what other people's feelings are, even when they don't tell him directly, as long as the feelings in question aren't about peem.

he also manages those small bursts of confidence, like kissing phum first or reaching out to him, but they are not long-lasting and are often followed by bursts of denial and shyness, which is extremely common for someone who is insecure but also impressively brave.

and here is your key to pre-relationship phumpeem and the reason why we are on episode 10 and they are still not dating. insecure x insecure can be hard at times. they both need the other to outright state their feelings, and that is just not easy for either of them. but they are getting there. together 🫶

So, I (F, 21) have been planning for a long time to sort out my life. I live in a European country, I'm in college and work part-time. For years, I've been saving up money to get financially independent as fast as possible and move out of my parents' apartment. I also wanted to have enough to pay for tubal ligation procedure, because I don't ever want children and would feel much more at ease when I'm certain that I can't physically get pregnant. My mother from the beginning was very against that idea, telling me I'll change my mind later and not to do anything permanent.

Two years ago, I've met two wonderful women, A (26) and K (23) on a discord server dedicated to our shared hobby (writing fanfiction). We'd been talking and messaging for months, eventually creating our own server and sharing our irl names and faces. It naturally progressed to a point where we chose to call it a relationship (I'm on the aroace spectrum, we're all neurodivergent and have a weird relationships with gender so it's not a traditional romantic/sexual relationship by any means). We're all from the same country so we met up a few times before deciding to all move to one city and live together. K and I are finishing our bachelor's degrees and A works from home so there weren't any obstacles. We found a flat and A moved in, waiting for me and K.

My mother knew I was bisexual and dating A and K, but thought again that it was "just a phase" and that we were only friends pretending to date for some reason. I love my parents, they are great and supportive people but sometimes it can be so exhausting to convince them of something when they believe they're absolutely right. So, I just stopped talking to my mother about my relationship and plans for the future. I visited A (and K after she moved in) in our apartment without permanently staying there yet.

A, K and I got an idea to celebrate us finishing college and A getting a job promotion by going abroad for a week. K jokingly suggested that we could visit another country and get married (gay marriage is still illegal in our country). Obviously, polyamorous marriages are not legal anywhere in Europe, but A told us at the beginning of our relationship that she never wanted to get legally married for personal reasons (but a non-binding marriage ceremony was fine with her). So, all three of us could have a ceremony and K and me could get legally married (the marriage still wouldn't be legally recognized in our country though). Then I also realized that I could get a tubal ligation in the country which we wanted to travel to (tubal ligation procedure is also illegal in our country).

I knew my mother would be against both of those decisions and I didn't want to argue with her the entire time before I left abroad. So, I just told her I'm going on holidays with my two friends for a week and she accepted that. I've also been slowly moving a lot of my stuff from my room in my parents' apartment to our apartment and was ready to completely relocate.

Anyway, the wedding went great (the witnesses were six people we knew from the discord server where we first met, who lived close by and could get to the wedding site easily), my operation went great, the trip was great, and just as we returned a friend asked if we wanted a kitten, because their cat had recently had some. We agreed.

When I was sure everything was settled, I called my mother and told her about the wedding, the operation, the move and the kitten. She was shocked and angry, said she felt disappointed and betrayed I hadn't told her about any of my plans, didn't even invite her to the wedding and that I damaged my body and would regret having my tubes tied. I tried explaining that I didn't know how she would react, that based on our previous interactions I hadn't thought she'd be supportive and that I wanted make my decisions without also having endure her disapproval. She cried, told me I hurt her and to give her some time to deal with all the revelations.

I feel terrible for upsetting my mom, but honestly, I think I did the right thing and that informing her beforehand would've ruined my mood and I'd have had to argue with her on the phone constantly during the trip.

•when toge first realized he liked you, not a lot changed in your guys relationship. you’d still hangout after class, help each other study, play video games, crack jokes to each other. but over time he’d start to become more affection wjth you. small things like resting his head on your knee while gaming with you, or hugging you before you leave his dorm for the night.

•i don’t think it would be very obvious to your guys’ friends that he liked you. in public he would still just act like your best friend, it was behind closed doors he’d be extra affectionate with you.

•since he can’t speak himself, he loves to hear you talk! he is always encouraging you to talk about anything to him, whether it be something personal or just reading a book to him. he loves it so much.

He also spends a lot of time with you, and as long as you're together, he’s pretty relaxed about what you do. You can pick out the movies you two watch, the meals you eat- as long as he can be close to you, with an arm around your shoulders or a hand on the small of your back. It was scary at first, but by now you've found yourself settling into the affection.

Shalnark lives for flustering you. if you’re shy, that’s perfect- you make it so easy for him, if not- he’s shameless, and he’ll find something that’ll make you blush. Feitan- 

Feitan knows you're miserable with him- how could you not be? You have almost no freedom, limited to your bedroom, your bathroom, and the living room. Some rooms are strictly off limits to you, like his bedroom, the kitchen, and the basement. Even in the rooms where you can wander freely, he’s always keeping an eye on you, waiting and watching. Most days, he avoids interacting with you, and some days, if he’s really overwhelmed, he’ll lock you in your room for days on end. Sometimes, you spend so long in there you worry he’s forgotten you, you worry that you’ll starve to death. He wants you to call out for him- he wants to hear your voice call his name, and beg to be allowed to come out into the rest of the house, he wants you to beg for him. 

Illumi- 

Illumi keeps you as isolated as he can, with only him to keep you company. Maybe that’s why it hurts so bad that he seems to care so little for you. When you dropped a plate and cut your foot, he only reminded you that you were stupid and clumsy. When you fell down the stairs (you hit your head so hard you can't remember for sure, but you could almost swear a woman’s hand pushed you) he only reminded you that you’d die without him. He never seems to care when you’re hurt or when you cry, he just watches, without so much as a shift in his expression.

S, of course. Hangovers could use both ibuprofen and a good IV cleansing treatment ( see above - such a common offering in that particular town, soon to be out of fashion - but hey: if she believes it can bring money, not my problem).

But... dating her? Not a chance in hell. You see, just a cursory survey of her IG account between the moment her contract as a Travel Registered Nurse was over and the moment her company started to be active, reveals a very busy Mediterranean summer, hitting all the possible cliches:

... a couple of days in Rome, followed by some quality family time (Mom and Pop, at a minimum) in Puglia, then Croatia (again, the glam crowd of Hvar island), back to Paris for a girls' trip (Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower and a couple other spots in the Marais and around the Rue de Rivoli - cliche forever):

Nowhere near S for the entire 2023 Sassenach Summer Tour. How is this equating with dating, that is really beyond me. Seriously. For instance, just before the second sighting, in NYC (June 10, 2023), she was having fun in the Algarve region and Lisbon (of course, Portugal). Probably posted those pics upon her return to NYC:

Dating? More like convenient pretext. He knew people would hang around that hotel (fans, autograph hunters, etc), especially during OL promo peak time. And he knew someone will take that pic, which was then conveniently placed in *urv's lap, for lengthy talks and more innuendo. Just as the first sighting was conveniently placed in Marple's inbox, to see if topic garners interest and sticks around/can be reused for further shits and giggles. Innuendo and nothing more would be my best bet: neither *urv, nor Marple had ANY positive idea about who she was, back at the time.

And now, the third drop was again placed in Marple's inbox, because attention had to be redirected to this particular gossip topic, in rather dire circumstances following Lauren 1.0.

And for your information, she does not follow S and he does not follow her. But he follows her newly opened joint: hangovers are a bitch, I know.

Why? I think it is clear enough why.

Who dunnit? I will let you draw your own conclusions, really. Again, it is rather plain to see. My belief is that this is not TPTB. And for once, I do not think he met her via Raya. Nope.

I mean, what is WRONG with those women? That is legit 14 year old bullshit talk about relationships (or the immature impossibility to have a satisfying one). At some point, I even thought it was some sort of sophisticated second degree, but NO (#cringe).

Also, I think I should be burning my pineapple pajama summer pants. Seriously. If you listen to the whole bullshit, you'll see there is no damn way to substantiate anything based on that. Zero connection.

Hello, it is I, here to make more angst request with fem! Simon. Now, I have a hate/love relationship with misunderstanding trope, but here's my idea. Fem! Simon has been spending a lot of time with a fellow soldier due to an important mission they are working on together. They have been texting frequently and meeting up outside of their usual work hours to discuss the mission details. Her girlfriend notices the increased communication between fem! Simon and this soldier. One day, she sees a text on fem! Simon's phone from the soldier that says, "Can't wait to see you tonight! 😊" This message, taken out of context, causes the reader to feel insecure and suspect that something romantic might be developing between fem! Simon and solider. You can go on from there-

Simon tried so hard to keep things as tactical as possible with the Sergeant she'd been tasked with collaborating with. The mission unfortunately required frequent communication and meetups to discuss logistics, added to another misfortune of not being able to really include you due to the classified nature of it. It irritated her, truthfully, because now the bright-eyed, fresh Sergeant had been getting a little too close for her liking. No matter how many times Simon offhandedly mentioned she had you, her girlfriend, waiting for her at home.

She should have known it would cause trouble.

You'd been distant lately. The past few days, as a matter of fact. And Simon couldn't pinpoint why. She suspected her frequent meetings with the Sergeant had something to do with it, but she didn't know the specifics.

"You're upset," she says one evening, coming up behind you as you're making dinner to wrap her arms around your middle. It's not a question.

"I'm fine, love," you respond softly. Too softly.

"You're not," she says, reaching past you to turn the stove off as she turns you around to face her. "Talk to me, love. Please. Let me help."

You sigh, looking up at her.

"This... assignment you've been on."

"Yeah?"

"With the new Sergeant."

"Mhm."

You hesitate, then sigh again before explaining.

A few nights prior, Simon's work phone had lit up when she stepped out. You'd managed to catch a glimpse of the message on the screen, a "Can't wait to see you tonight! 😊" from her work partner.

Simon hadn't entertained the thinly-veiled attempt at flirtation, and had simply responded with a quick "Keep it tactical. And don't forget the case files I requested."

But you hadn't seen that part.

So, she shows you.

She doesn't hesitate to pull her phone out, unlocking it and scrolling to the messages in question. She feels safe letting you scroll through the message log - it's all coded jargon anyway, as specifics are only discussed in person for security reasons.

"Keep tryin' to tell her I'm taken," Simon explains, nudging her nose against your temple as you look through the texts. "Won't take the hint."

Her texts reflect as much:

Sgt: Drinks tonight?

Simon: Negative. Night in with my girl.

Some days later:

Sgt: Anything a girl can do to entertain herself around base?

Simon: Wouldn't know. The missus and I live off-base. Get that report I asked for?

The exchanges go on.

"I... I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions," you say softly. Simon softly shushes you in response.

"Don't apologize," she says. "I know how it must have looked."

After a moment of silence, she pulls back, putting both hands on your upper arms as she gazes at you intently.

"Y'know you're the only one I want, right?" she asks. When you only nod and cast your gaze aside, she tucks a finger under your chin to redirect you back to her.

"I mean that," she says. "Don't want anyone else. Never have. Never will. I'm serious.''

As you pull her in for a kiss, Simon's already formulating plans to really get it through this Sergeant's head that she's a (very happily) taken woman.

Unexpected Change of Plans

Lucifer x (GN)reader (who has the same birthday as him)

Summary: A little miscommunication causes you and Lucifer's plans to collide.

A/N: I was feeling kinda self-indulgent when I wrote this lol I just had the idea since I share the same birthday as luci hehe

It's the day of Lucifer’s birthday and you've got everything ready to set up but we're waiting for the right time to finish the preparations. One of the gifts you planned to surprise him with on his birthday was a cozy homemade dinner together. The best place to do this was his office, the other brothers love to barge into your room whenever they wanted and there was a nice fireplace that lit up the room to create a cozy atmosphere. The only problem with setting up there is getting Lucifer out of there for long enough not to ruin the surprise.  

It was a problem until, 

“Mc, I’ve got something to take care of. I’ll be back by dinner so don’t worry.”

“Oh, ok! Have fun, Luci!” You had just been given your solution and in a couple of minutes, just after Lucifer had left you got right to work. 

A table and a few chairs were placed in the centre of his office. On top of the table was a red tablecloth, wine glasses to pour the demonus you bought, and plates to serve up the food you needed to finish cooking. It was around the time Lucifer said he would be back at home when you were placing the finished meal on the table. 

After a moment of checking to make sure everything is perfect, you pull out your phone to send a text asking when he’ll be home but seconds after you open your phone he beats you to it and sends a message telling you he just got back and that he wanted you to see him in the foyer. 

He doesn't usually do this but it's possible he just wanted for you to greet him at the door. This sets back the plan of him walking in on the surprise but it's still fine the plan just has to be adjusted.

You make your way to the front door to greet Lucifer, who is still taking his shoes off. 

“Ah, hello love. I’m sorry I had to leave you today.” He walks up to give you a kiss on the cheek and begins guiding you towards the backyard.

“Oh! Lucifer, what are you doing? I was planning on-” “Don’t worry darling. I’ve prepared a surprise for you.”

“Huh? Oh.” It should have been expected that he would also plan something for you today, it was both yours and his birthday today but since he didn’t mention any dinner plans you thought you would be able to do something special. Lucifer continues to pull you out the door, outside there are candles that light up the table set in the centre of the garden. Your favourite meal is sitting at the table along with a vase filled with your favourite flowers. 

“Oh, Lucifer!” You’re almost a little jealous that he got the idea to set your dinner outdoors, maybe it’s just because you’re the one on the receiving end but the atmosphere feels more romantic than what you set up in Lucifer's office.

“I hope you like it honey…are you alright? You seem a bit off.” 

You didn’t think he would be able to notice the difference, while you are happy you’re unsure of how to tell Lucifer about your own plans, and that must have shown on your face. “Yeah, it’s fine but I also planned a dinner for us in your office that I was going to surprise you with.” 

He starts laughing a little before going to his suggestion for a solution, “How about you bring what you made out here and we can just share the meal? But I’d like to see what you set up for me in full first, just to let it not go to waste.” 

With that the nervousness left your body, yeah it's not what you planned but your dinner didn’t go to waste. Lucifer puts his hand out towards you offering for you to lead him. You giggle at the offer and take his hand, guiding him back to his office. 

You push open the doors and step aside to let Lucifer enter ahead of you. “Thank you, Darling. I hope you’re not disappointed with the interruption of your plans. I’m always excited to eat your cooking and I can’t imagine how difficult it was for you to get this demonus.” With a heartfelt look on his face, he leans in to kiss you, the kiss conveys an affection left unsaid by Lucifer. After a moment he separates from your lips to lean closer to your ear and whispers “I’m so lucky to have you, my love. Thank you.”

“Love you too, Lucifer. Want to take this food outside before it gets cold.”

“Of course” and with that, he helps you carry the demonus and plates back outside.

Once that little miscommunication is fully dealt with Lucifer and you can finally enjoy the rest of your night together. Eating and chatting about anything that comes to mind until the candles lighting up the table start to burn out, that’s when you both decide to start cleaning up.

The surprises didn’t end there, you both still had one more gift to give. When Lucifer opened the record you got him he had a subtle pleased smile on his face, with how long you’ve known Lucifer you understood that at that moment he appreciated your gift and presence in his life.

Lucifer's gift was just as thoughtful as you expected, something you have been wanting and only briefly mentioned out loud a couple of times. He pulls you into a kiss as passionately as before, “I’m so glad we met, my love.” 

“I feel the same way, Luci.”

The night ends with you cuddled in his arms, eyelids growing heavier each second while gazing into each other's eyes until you both drift off to sleep.

Anyway, when it comes to domestic life Geo is the cook, he just chills in the kitchen and prepares the most elaborate fancy food anyone’s ever made in the history of the universe (Geode powers activate!!!)

Geo also knows how to do makeup extremely well, while I’d say Crowe is more skilled in the hair department (they’re both magical when it comes to cosmetics).

Crowe would be the one to do shopping and get surprise gifts for you both.

Geo would only really buy fake plants for himself (real quick shout out to past me for coming up with the #bonsaibaby term for the eventual tree child Geo and I will have), so the home will be opulent and fancy (because of Crowe), while maintaining a somewhat minimalistic and naturistic appeal (because of Geo) and just being a generally comfortable residence (because of us >:})

You are kinda just told to not do anything except exist. They both feel obligated to ensure you’ve got the best life possible, and you bet your attractive ass you’re getting a banger life.

Oh also, just a quick heads up, if you and Crowe are having sex, make sure Geo is far away. You do not want this man to be projectile vomiting for the next two thousand minutes, it’d be very ungraceful for someone like him.

Hi!

I really appreciate the positivity that you share on this blog. I would also like to say that some of your comics helped me realize I am probably aro/ace. I have been getting comfortable with the ace label for a while now, but I realized that I am most likely also demiromatic (at the very least).

I came to the conclusion after seeing how you described your QPR because that is exactly what I would want in a relationship. Cooking food together, sharing a place, platonic cuddles, etc. I didn't know that was an option until I saw your comic.

I have also been doing a ton of research trying to define a romance. As I know you have mentioned before, it is very difficult to describe, but it seems my definition fits more-or-less how you describe a QPR rather than a "romantic relationship."

With that in mind...

Do you have any tips for finding platonic relationships like QPR's? All my friends either live very far away or are married/in committed allo relationships. I always feel like a third wheel, so any tips would be much appreciated.

Aah... In a way, I guess I couldn't help much because... Turns out the flavor of aroace that I am didn't really feel the need for a QPR to begin with, so I never really... Looked for one. My partner offered one and the rest is history. Well... I did fumble a little bit at the beginning and was like "hey wow that's how I feel about another close friend maybe I should ask THEM to be in a QPR too so I could be in 2 QPRs" and that didn't work out for many reasons and that's how I learned that stuff isn't as simple as I thought it could be but... Honestly, I'm very fortunate with what I have now and I don't regret bumping into such walls. Made me value what I ended up with all the more, and appreciate the level of connection and communication needed for that to work out. In a way I guess... My partner made it sound easy so props to them.

...Anyway that didn't answer anything, did it TwT But yeah I wasn't the one to ask, and I didn't need one myself, so... I just lucked out really.

Ironically, not that anyone asked, but if I felt anything was missing from my life and still is, it's feeling like I'm a part of a group of friends, a proper group, that sees me and respects me as a proper friend. I've never really had that even if I sometimes fooled myself that I did, and it's always hurt a fair amount and it still does, but being in a QPR certainly helps a TON somehow. So... I wasn't looking for that but it brought me solace in a lot of ways? jgfigklfd though that still doesn't answer your question TwT

Yes, Stolas did spring this on Blitz and he absolutely should have let Blitz process it, Stolas certainly created a scenario with a self fulfilling prophecy by scripting a conversation and being so sure Blitz didn't return his feelings that almost anything Blitz said would have gotten under Stolas' skin and been a sign of failure, probably

I do still want to challenge the idea that Blitz would be 100% blindsided by this confession and it's coming out of nowhere

Yes, as the audience we know much more about how deep Stolas' feelings are, we see it clearly and plainly on the screen, but it's not like Blitz has had 0 hints

One of the most telling scenes in the show was when Blitz was ranting to Fizz about how Stolas sees him as an exciting sexual conquest, but in the midst he lists off a ton of non-sexual, sweet things Stolas does like try to ask him about his day and whatnot.

We also know from the encounter with Striker that Blitz honestly kind of thought Stolas was invincible, he wasn't worried about him getting hurt and neither was Stolas at first- so why, then, in episode two did Stolas insist he needed a bodyguard and why did Blitz eventually go along with it? Why waste an entire day of work just to go to a carnival with some pompous asshole? To my memory they didn't even bang or anything like that. Obviously Stolas used some sexual language but ultimately he just wanted to spend time around Blitz, maybe show his daughter that Blitz was protective and capable or something, idk, and what could Blitz possibly conclude from this other than Stolas at the very least just wants to be around him a bit more?

These are only two examples from the top of my head, not even mentioning Stolas' excitement over the romantic context of the invite to Ozzie's and how he acted afterwards, and there are probably a few others I'm not remembering right now.

Obviously, none of this means that Blitz should have expected a sudden love confession or been prepared for it, but even in the start of the episode we see Blitz acknowledge he's not really sure where they're at, things are at risk of getting complicated and he's trying to avoid that, he wants it to stay purely sexual where he's comfortable but something has given him reason to suspect it's not, because his entire half of the song is him declaring he's worried about Stolas trying to change their arrangement so he's gotta focus on the sex.

Again- Stolas should have given him a minute. But this did not come out of nowhere on his side of things and acting like Blitz has 0 clue that Stolas has deeper feelings for him is ignoring, like, large chunks of previous episodes and even parts of this episode that have established otherwise.

Starting as how you two got together. I will assume you are a sorcerer and that's how you met and he confessed to you while you were coming back from a mission like it's to the most normal thing ever. Like "Yeah it did went good, oh by the way i very much like you, would you be my girlfriend/boyfriend".

Love language i would say is act of service and words of affirmation

Like yes he would do anything you want him to, just ask. You sometimes don't even have to ask. He just knows what you need okay?

Words of affirmation are a MUST. This man worships you and the ground you walk on, no other choices.

For dates i feel like this man is veryyyy romantic. He'll always think about something that you like and somehow turn it into a date.

Let me say this man is PROTECTIVE. Like a lot. His hand is usually around your shoulders or waist when you walk together.

He lets you play with his hair and he does with yours too. It most likely happens after one of you have been on a rough mission and need peace, one of you just lays on top of the other, talk, listen or do whatever the fuck you want to do.

Speaking of mission. When you get injured on missions he is the first one to go right to Shoko to ask how are you. He is so stressed oh my god, my poor Geto

He also liked to pick you up (show off you know?) He feels like this is something that you love (you probably do) and he gets to hold you close AND see you smile. What more could he possibly ask for?

At first he refused to train (spar) with you, because he was scared to hurt you in a way, but after a bit (a lot) of reassurance you'll be okay he gives in

Would listen to you talking for HOURS litteral HOURS. Like the lalala and okokok thing on tt. And he would remember every single thing you said. "Btw what we you saying about that one your friend?" "Geto that was a month ago-"

Mei is one of the more excitable characters in LMK.

She's been shown to be overly affectionate and protective of friends and is easily competitive.

Based on how violent she gets to protect friends, I'd say she has potential to be a yandere, be that platonic or romantic.

Mei has been shown to have strict parents due to her heritage, so until she meets MK and the others you were probably one of her only friends.

You two are close from the start since you were kids.

Now older and with more friends, Mei hasn't parted from you.

Mei's canon personality is already a bit volatile/unpredictable from what I've seen and read.

Whatever your view on people is, Mei is dragging you somewhere due to her outgoing nature.

She most likely takes you to watch her race, something she's adored since she was young.

Every time you cheer for her, her heart flutters.

Mei is always optimistic, so it's hard to get her in a bad mood at times.

Due to her overly optimistic nature, when she does get jealous about you, she usually finds a way to excuse what's happening.

Who cares if you're so close with MK, right?

You and Mei are childhood friends!

She would definitely try to delude herself to ignore her jealousy.

She wants her childhood friend happy.

She even has a hard time realizing she has feelings for you more than just childhood friends.

Mei would start as a platonic yandere, which doesn't change much from her canon persona.

She's already shown to be protective of her friends to a violent degree.

If anything were to happen to you, Mei's definitely going full dragon even if it means putting herself in danger.

She has a hard time admitting or coming to terms with how she feels about you, though.

Part of her knows it's love, love drives you to protect others.

But why is hers so much darker?

Why is she so willing to harm others just for you just to look her way?

Mei would struggle with the change in feelings.

She means well, right?

Why is she so worried she'll lose her childhood friend to someone like MK?

You mean so much to her.

She just gets so jealous at the idea you having a close connection with anyone else.

She isn't sure if she feels sad or mad when you're caught laughing with someone that isn't her.

Mei wouldn't really want to cause too much of a scene.

At first she may try to soothe herself by clinging to you mid-conversation.

Yet if the feeling of jealousy sticks around, she may threaten the other person.

Mei can be scary so it would most likely work.

Mei may try to make her confession... sweet.

When she realizes she has to confess to her childhood friend, she wants it memorable.

Mei would definitely plan things out, planning a date and keeping an eye on you.

She wants to give you gifts she knows you'll enjoy and plans the right thing to say.

If anyone knows you, it's her.

She puts her heart and soul into preparing her confession before calling you over.

If you accept, she's overjoyed and crushes you in an embrace.

If you decline... well... maybe she just needs to be more patient...?

Mei is a bit impatient, willing to do whatever she can to have you see things her way.
