Usually the trope where someone thinks they are great at hiding their love, the truth is that they are obvious. And I do love that for shadowpeach, but I also really like the idea that one or both are good at hiding their feelings to outsiders (not good at hiding their resentment or projections or etc, but good at hiding the romantic feelings). But shadowpeach know each so well- even after all this time - that it's practically a scream. Pigsy sees wukong's eyebrow twich, meanwhile macaque knows wukong wants to hold hands. Mei sees mac's tail move a bit, wukong knows macaque thinks wukong is being adorable. Ridiculous obvious only between the two
