Paddy is such a champ for real. His stage presence is so so fun! He just seems happy to be there and engage with everything going on. I can also not stress enough how no camera recording of him truly captures how he actually just looks like a prince in real life!

I'm super happy to have gotten a pic with him this time around.

omg how WAS your six of crows event??? if you want to share?

Sure I want to shamelessly brag about this! It was at a convention this last weekend, just an hour away from where I live. Not all the crows were there, sadly, but I got to meet Freddy, Amita, Cal, and Kit. And Ben Barnes was there too (though just for saturday and not for the whole weekend), and Patrick Gibson, and Anna Leong Brophy (Tamar). Oh and Dean Lennox Kelly (Pecca).

They're all such sweethearts, like their individual panels were amazing and then the group one was *hilarious*. Dean and Kit joined the fan party on saturday, it was insane and sooo much fun. Kit was on stage with the dj at one point during the party and then bought a round of drinks for some fans. Poor Freddy had lost his voice by sunday. Paddy did a magic trick on stage at the closing ceremony. It was all so wild, I loved every second of it 😅

2023 was the year I discovered Tumblr.

I wasn't fleeing from the bird site or anything; I came here because there are so many incredible artists available for commissions. I had been commissioning Jesper art from Etsy, Fiverr, etc before but it turns out if you want amazing fan art, you need to go where the fan artists are. I never had to explain what I wanted here - we were always on the same wavelength. @simplydifficultme was the first artist I reached out to and she was so incredible, I was hooked. (I also never expected to meet her in person at MagicCon but that's another story...)

This community is amazing and I feel like I'm just tapping into the depth of that passion. I'm glad I found Tumblr before the Shadow and Bone Netflix cancellation; I think I would have gone squirrelly if I didn't have an outlet and community here for my disappointment. Y'all just get it.

That is all I said to him when I went to take this pic, bc we had to be quick and I had spoken to him the same day and the other days before when I was cosplaying Kuwei.

For a second he thought I wanted him to fix smth on his collar bc I pointed at mine before finishing the sentence but he got it quick as usual, did the pose and when we were done he gave me a sly acknowledging smile going "That was good." cause I did just ask as if I would have asked anyone else for a favor just with a little nod to my voice. I love how it turned out, I could totally see a scene like that happening in universe XD

I wanted to go for untwisting the backpack strap first of fixing the collar but figured both would look awkward on photo and I think I made the right decision going with this version.

I'm so excited about all the stuff revealed in the MagicCon Las Vegas 2023 panel! A specific question with Ian Malcolm being revealed, is Scientist going to be an official creature subtype? And if so should we expect errata for other cards (like say Laboratory Maniac)?

We are using by it going forward, but I don’t know if we’re using errata on anything. Note it’s used in more modern settings. More high fantasy settings will still use things like Wizard.
