ok idk if i'm just not looking hard enough but there seems to be a completely open niche in percy jackson fan fiction called "jason grace gets plopped into wilderness school right when he disappears instead of two months later and gets into prison break shenanigans with piper and leo as he successfully convinces them he shouldn't be there and he needs to leave in order to regain his memories and they agree to help him escape the school, causing the three of them to form actual real friendships instead of fake Mist ones" and optionally culminating in a final escape attempt at the Grand Canyon which dylan and the plot of the lost hero interrupts. like where are those. do they exist.

one of the oddest arguments i've ever gotten into was like. i had agreed to give a dude a chance. we were on a first date. and he got. just. so mad. because i had told him i read about 2-5 books a week.
but he found out it was actually that i listen to 2-5 audiobooks. he was dead set on the idea - that's not reading, it's just listening. that i was lying, somehow, by implying i'd "read" the book.
language has a beautiful ability to adapt over time, particularly in the face of technology. when i "connect to the internet" i'm referencing the oldschool method of literally plugging into the internet - which i very rarely physically do. i roll down my window, which is a reference to the circular mechanical action it used to take. hell - the floppy disc remains our resolute save file icon. when i say i "ran to the store," nobody expects me to actually run - and what my version of running to the store looks like and your version are probably pretty different.
i told the guy, baffled: i look at things through glasses, that's still seeing. nobody complains i'm filtering the image.
he says: that's not the same and you know it.
i use audiobooks because i have adhd, and it makes it so i can actually focus. i am using it to help a medically diagnosed condition.
language also has a really cool ability: when we read something, our brains look at a word and make an image. when we hear a story, our brains hear a word and make an image. whether we hear it or read it - the word means the same thing, written or spoken. there is no quantifiable difference in the knowledge-encoding experience - i still happily hallucinate while i'm listening.
and i just kind of stared at him while he was telling me that "claiming" i had "actually read" a book that i had actually-listened-to was lying
and my only baffled response was like: "... are you gatekeeping the experience of... reading?"

im also obsessed w the idea of sonetto and vertin bc the way they're presented as kids is that vertin so desperately wanted to be friends with sonetto, always bringing her presents and things, and sonetto wanted nothing to do with her or her troublemaking. now it's switched. vertin keeps sonetto at arms' length, and sonetto desperately wants to get her approval and be close to her, and has to watch her instead always choose to be by someone else's side--
even vertin's childhood memories of sonetto are now coloured by her loss of schneider.
idk why everyone leaves sonetto out of the doomed yuri thing, because imo it is really a doomed yuri love triangle.

also in terms of the bolas playlist it's fascinating to me that the songs added by each person have a slight tendency to represent a consistent aspect of bolas
like
the songs added by slime are their chaos
the songs added by philza are their rebellion
the songs added by cellbit are their rage
the songs added by baghera are their anguish
it's so fucking FASCINATING TO ME but i don't know enough music theory to elaborate lmfao this is Vibes Only
(mouse's songs i can't boil down to an easy noun which is why they aren't mentioned lmao anyway they go hard asf)
(also i went on the longest fucking unhinged elaboration in the tags lmfao i almost didn't have enough tags left to tag "long tags" at the end
(i could have even gone on longer in terms of where their characters were at entering purgatory [philza: cage for a cage; cellbit: fed worker murders; baghera: her past as a federation experiment; slime: turning into a code because of the code pretending to be his daughter] but i ran out of space and also time it's 4AM AAAAA)

having a casual conversation with bestfriend!eddie when he suddenly pulls you in for a kiss, his hands resting firmly on either side of your jaw to keep you still. you look at him with wide eyes, fumbling over your words: “what- what was that for?” and eddie would say somethin like, “sorry, just couldn’t help myself anymore. you’re so-“ he gives your jaw a light shake, “so fuckin’ pretty, baby.” his newest nickname for you would instantly turn you into a puddle and without another word, you press your lips to his again and eddie pulls you onto his lap, deepening the kiss when his tongue slips past your bottom lip.
needless to say, you and eddie always become more than friends

okay it is a little "???" but the meta part of Once Upon An SMG4 was pretty cool. like SMG3 knows theyre all in a story or whatever and wishes for them to leave. at least i think that was a meta thing. and this episode seems to Not be a parody of anything which is. i rnean the parodies are fine but so is an original thing yknow? title is weird tho
also Mario Is An Animal 2: Electric Boogaloo
but seriously though why is mario a deer
Also Also did Puzzlevision appear three times in the episode? reminds me of Fourthwall Breaker, the character i made to fix plot holes in my various comics and stuff. which is a cOOL PARALLEL BC IT IS META AND SO WAS THE EPISODE ???? neat coincidence tbh
