Gin may denigrate himself as a mere people-pleaser, but seriously, he is the most mature person on the team. While I like Caligula Effect 2's cast, for everyone else, I needed time before I stopped raising my eyebrows at them and started to enjoy them. Gin? Him I liked pretty much immediately. He's smart, reasonable, has some believable flaws and foibles, a really moving Rank 9 scene, and the way he apparently fires machine gun bullets from his metaphysical crossbow is also very helpful.

Gin is just having a normal day then gets caught up in weird shit and awakens to superpowers to save you.

Anyway a bunch of other fun stuff

- Transmasc NB AND bisexual, canonically

- has a whole arc realizing gender roles are stupid

- Takes you on a planetarium date specifically to insult an influencer he hates

- Is just a real cutie

- Kicks a child into a train with you

- Mechanically designed to pair up with the MC

- Is doing kick flips in heels

- You can take him into a haunted house and he’s like “I’m glad you chose me as your partner but this wasn’t the time” and also asks you to hold hands

- You get one freebie question about him and you either learn his deadname, where he works, or whether he’s into guys or girls (the answer is both)

TL;DR: Gin Noto and the MC should have won this tournament and you’re all wrong.

Quick note for this one: I made a mistake last round. The character submitted was "gingerweed man" but when looking that up the only thing that comes up is "gingerdead man" so I assumed the submitter made a typo or something. Turns out that gingerweed man is in fact a different character, so that is who will be in this spot going forward.
