i'm very grateful for the fact that bollywood movies often feature some variation of a love triangle, with two guys and one girl BUT that instead of being bitter rivals, the two guys often have a solid bromance going on
like i'm watching sholay rn and there are no subtitles on the songs but it's fine i get the gist
they're literally in love

Call me a comphet but I love Jai/Radha from Sholay so much, more than Jai/Veeru or Veeru/Basanti or even Basanti/Radha. Their quiet romance!!!! Radha being the catalyst for Jai’s reformation without making her into his morality pet!!! Her and Thakur’s silent mutual support! The eyes! The long soulful silences! The harmonica music! Radha rushing over the balcony and down the stairs when she realizes Jai is injured, before stopping at the last step.

the first cinematic moment that genuinely left me openmouthed was when i was eight and sholay was on the tv and one of the guys was silently asking thakur to pass him the gun and thakur just stared at him. and then the flashback came where um. you know.
