one of my favorite soulfire things i think is whenever purgatory is brought up tubbo praises as tina number 1 GOAT of purgatory!!!!! AND HE'S RIGHT!!! SHE LITERALLY CHANGED THE WHOLE META!!!!! THE ENTIRE GAME WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE SAME WITHOUT HER TEA STRATS!!!

dude tina is the goat like she found the tea strat really early on during the start of purgatory and that singular food item has managed to become like one of the best items on the server purely bc of how beneficial it is.

it’s easy to get, it restores both hydration and hunger, and it gives u a bunch of extra saturation when u drink it which helps u heal like crazy. also, bc of the way it’s made, it’s easier to keep stacked since u can craft a bunch at once which helps combat the spoiling food stack issue. if it wasn’t for her finding that i’m sure a lot of things would’ve gone down differently, kudos to her<3

And I do wonder what would have happened if tubbo didn't keep as tight a hold on bad, if he let his honor slip even a bit, but I think that's the beauty of his character. He never let his honor go.

Despite the death, despite the others wanting to destroy it all, tubbo was always there for moral and to keep the others honorable (well most of the time-)

Bad was the ruthlessness they needed, Tina was the engine keeping it running, and tubbo made sure they kept up their spirits despite it all...

Wish it hadn't ended on a kinda anticlimactic one v one tho like...the whole point was team events...why a one v one...

I was talking about this on twitter. But I think that the soulfire base was such an aid to them psychologically. Because it forced them into proximity with each other, and was a shelter from the chaos outside. It was a support. I could write essaysssss

Anyway, tubbo’s honor is such a fascinating topic. Especially his morality, he wants things to be fair, for it to be a good fight in the end. I’ve been rewatching Alta recently but the fire nation’s idea of honor fits tubbos ideals as well, though he has the morality of airbenders. In most cases tubbo would want a fair fight that he knows he has a high chance of losing then a fight where he betrays his own moral code to win.

At his core I think tubbo is a diplomat, but if fighting is necessary he wants it to be fair. But that doesn’t mean he won’t do what it takes to end up victorious

And he tries his best to hold to these morals, and holds his team to them as well, for better then worse in some cases.(Aside from the obvious moments)

bad balanced out tubbo’s honor perfectly with his ruthlessness. And throughout purgatory they were such opposites that worked so well. Tubbo sat back and was careful, bad was reckless.

And bad was loud Bolas was so afraid him because he didn’t care for the blood on his hands. He attacked quickly and fast. It let tubbo hide behind him, make himself seem like someone who was just holding the leash. But remove bad and tubbo was just as much as a threat.

And then Tina played support amazingly. First off the tea strat which was just. Wow. Secondly, even if she wasn’t best at pvp she still but in so much work at ‘home’ that made her so so vital to the team. She also provided vital morale support that soulfire would be nothing without.

And I know this ask didn’t talk about him but I think Pierre’s mindset was interesting as well during purgatory. How he was sort of a loose canon.

He was a big leg up in the game because of his experience with games like purgatory before. But as seen with the ggn elimination day is quick to turn on his team when his ideals start to turn from his own.

I’ve talked about how soulfire became a whole unit before but I have to repeat again. They were a unit. Tubbo was held with such respect by his teammates and in turn they held respect for him as a leader, or “coach”

And then purgatory 2 was so different and it’s just so cool

(As for the ending,,, yeah. I won’t say anything on that but. Just. Yeah. I think there was a lot of things went into that that it’s just a whole god damn mess lol)

Guys I'm thinking about soulfire, but this one specific hc someone has that they were freezing cold.

Like they breathe out and just puffs of freezing clouds of air. Their bones hurt and shit, early stages of frost bite and later on it gets worse and shit.

Imagine your bolas minding your fucking business and suddenly the temperature drops. I'm losing my shit.

And since they are the most found family I've ever seen. The only time they feel the warmest is when they would just pile on each other in the soulfire base.

Tubbo returning screaming losing his mind freezing cold but here comes pac with the warmest hug hes had in such a long time.

Tina whos hated herself for a long time has tubbo and bbh jumping her cuz the tea strat saved them countless times.

I have a love hate relationship with purgatory but I miss soulfire sosososo much give them back plz.

so has anyone else given any thought to what all the constant tea-drinking has done to the islanders? like what sort of effect it's had on them? not physically speaking (though thats definitely a really interesting avenue to pursue) but mentally

like. will any of them be able to drink tea ever again? will they be able to enjoy it? there are so so many memories associated with it now. two weeks worth of friend-killing and they were drinking tea through it all. they were chugging it during pvp. surely that has to twist their relationship with it? like, the mental association. there are foods i cant eat without thinking of home and other foods i cant get down because of bad memories associated with them. i have to imagine that sort of pain/discomfort has to be magnified tenfold here

tina discovered the tea strat because she wanted to make it for bagi. because bagi loves tea, and tina loves bagi. there's so much love behind it all and its so tainted now

Soulfire Purgatory Day 13

-Absolute mayhem as Bad, Bagi, Tina, Fit, Pac, Quackity all desperately rush to grab food and supplies for the event base.

-Bad tears up the base for supplies and mines like mad as they have no diamonds as they were all stolen yesterday, he also makes Dappers shovel, along with his sycthe to use for the battle

-Round one: both red and blue get comfortable with the rules (they need to put flags down in designated areas to claim points). Red is a bit out numbered for this. Towards the end bad learned that they could break reds flags and instead of cashing them in (which takes time) you could just throw them away. Tubbo joins. Blue wins

-Round two: two more for red along with an admin join for balance. Its neck and neck this round but towards the end red seals the deal. Red wins

-Round three: Forever joins and so do more red its even now. Bad strategized from the previous lost round that they should keep there flags in a secure chest until the last few minutes. Members grabbed more flags from the cornucopia, and carried out the strat. Blue wins

(I only saw from Bads pov so all the contributions the team put forth im not able to say in detail but everyone worked so well and did so great communicating and helping it was a real fun event. Great work admins)

-red and blue hangout and goof around as meteors fall on top of them

-Pac and Fit have a moment

-Bad flirts with slime? -Bad and Forever have a moment

-Bad and Bagi hangout until the server closes

i swear to god, this is the weirdest fucking dream i could remember to date (and i usually have a really hard time remembering dreams):

-CCs were in the forest preparing for a 'snowball fight' but with modeling clay. there were 4 colors for each 'team', but ppl mixed them up and used diff strats

-dream like the sacrificial puppy he is, molded his clays to look like his face so they would target him over his friends (esp george) which ?????? huh????

-foolish mixed his clays to build/mold an actual clay nerfgun (it even had all the clay colors mixed up bc hedidnt blend it all well) i specifically remember this bc somewhere at the back bbh or someone else said "of COURSE, you build an actual gun for this."

-miyoung, foolish, george were sitting together after the game looking tired, they look like emo kids sitting together at lunch table

-i remember looking for tina amidst the mess but not finding her and feeling sad

in relation to the funneling topic, tina has made it very clear before that she would not feel comfortable with shooting in in db. if they actually try to get rid of funneling it would be fucked bc then they’re putting people in a situation they don’t want to be in.

and all these losers can bitch and moan about how they think funneling is “boring/not fun” and “sweaty” but by trying to force everyone to shoot they could be making it a not fun experience for someone else. like boohoo you don’t like funneling🤧 but it’s up to the TEAM what strat they want to use and if they go with funneling so be it. and for all the contestants who complain, maybe they should just get better so they’re the ones playing instead of the good strategic players :)

(sorry for the post deluge im going to bed in a inute lol)

i am gonna get a few sessions w/ tina (that therapist i actually loved and who made a huge huge difference in my life) over the next few months i think bc i mean it is £50 a week but like i think she was so instrumental w me progressing so much wrt my contaimation stuff + id like to talk this stuff over w/ her as well bc it honestly wasnt really much of an issue back (or at least it was much more dormant) then bc as i aid in the prev post ive basically just replaced one coping strat (being hypervigilant of any potential food contaminants) with anoher one i fear (restricting my food intake calorifically) (ok like this is basically the exact same problem also lbh......) but the thing is i dont know what im trying to cope WITH! literally everything is fine???? like NOTHING keeps me up at night!

I have a whole ayakashi akashi pkm au that i will eventually expand on with everyone else and like . actual designs for everyone that wasn’t just me sketching things randomly lmao but for now all you gotta know is that (under read more)

kashima is the current reigning champion, tina is her rival with a “specialty” in dark types (i say that because it’s more like a speciality in dark type moves like embargo or taunt but whatever), rokuro used to be in that pool of rivals until he ditched that occupation to go into his private invstigator work a little more.

riku and karuta went into the league circuit and got promoted to gym leaders at around the same time. when they’re not in the league circuit for the season, over the summer, they participate in double battle competitions together (reuniclus with power play and kecleon with protean and shadow sneak will always be funny to me). the gyms in the league circuit is in the order of their canon grades (but doesn’t mean anything about their talents with pokemon, it’s just the order of when players come across them xD)… (and yeah ik it’s out of the blue with the flying BUT it was funny to me bcuz of his asthma SO)

mino (grass) -> ia (fire) -> haito (flying) -> naki (fairy) -> yuki (water) -> zero (ground) -> riku (psychic) -> karuta (normal) -> tina (dark)

anyway (this is the mandatory kariku angst because im not me if i don’t make everything ayakashi akashi related have kariku angst) in the middle of one of the league circuits, karuta is um . no where to be found? (euphemism for “he’s kidnapped”.) rokuro, who currently works as a private investigator, is working with kashima (the reigning champion) to figure out where he went. and all of the gym leaders right now, including riku, are suspects because there’s not many people in the region who has the skills to harm one of the higher ranking league members. that being said, rokuro and kashima confide in riku the most in their investigations because of how close he was to karuta. (they keep an eye on him the most lmao) the league circuit continues on as usual. (is this plot necessary? should i have just made this a fluffy au? nope and nope >:D)

I’m thinking of writing smth where rokuro and riku discuss suspects (not many people get to karuta’s gym in the first place, nor do many people have information about his gimmick strategy with kecleon’s protean and shadow sneak. but by the time they realize what the strat is, karuta already has a greedent with stuff cheeks, rollout, stomping tantrum, and the ability cheek pouch ready for them so he sends that out instead) (basically people tend to understand how to beat him after the first time they come, and the second time they do, he’s ready with rly bulky and annoying Pokémon lmao) (so they either give up, or by the third time they get through his gym)

and Riku’s explanation of that leads into them deciding whether to look into people who have faced him the second or third time

(which will lead them to nothing but don’t disturb them they’re trying their best here)

there’s other side plots too like gags with naki and haito that eventually turn into angst too but im gonna leave it at that for now and leave that for… the next time I decide to draw/write about this lmaooooo

dream sandkeeper could maybe work but he only did well bc he had good runners too i think that would be more risky this time bc the other 3 are inexperienced :( i'm thinking either connor or tina sandkeeping bc i think tina could be more meticulous but idk how well connor could run. then again maybe if dream went over sandkeeper strats with connor he could do a better job but only if he tries and idk how much he would genuinely try vs tina who would def do her best yk?

Lost Box (SableZard + Greedent)

I think I like Lost Box in its more consistent form with a straightforward strat. Big set-up pay-offs like Kyogre and Amazing Ray are fine, but I want to maximize the consistency most of all, as that’s the key to winning with this deck, imo. The more switch options are much appreciated vs. a Kyogre list, as well.
