Key to its success was the elegant…

*******************************************************************************************
As for beggining, I know the hype about this drama is gone, as the drama has already 6 years!!! I know that I am late to catch and see Aiba´s dramas as well, but even though I dont mind. XD The reason why I used to hesitate about his dramas is the fact that I cant tell whether the drama would be as good as I wish...BUT again I got nice surprise because “Bartender” was interesting and nice drama.
Firstly, I must admit I watched it for Aiba XD. The teaser was promising and the plot looked like easy-to-watch drama, so I gave it a try. And I am gald I did. Back to the Aiba...indeed he is soooooo attractive, flawless and I do believe that his charming smile could save some souls if he was real bartender who listen to real problems of people. (lol I should stop XD)
Anyhow, Aiba did great job with acting as well and proved that he CAN act if he get good role! His expressions were natural and realistic. I know he had to train a lot for his bartending skills to look smooth and profesional like. I think he did very good and did his best.                                                                                  He had nice chemistry with  Shihori Kanjiya (Miwa) who was so cute and her acting was good too. She does not need to fake her cuteness and her acting is naturally adorable. The rest of cast was also great, especially  YosiYosi Arakawa who played coworker in bar Lupin, he got funny role again. Then Nobuaki Kaneko who was Ryu´s rival in chasing the job as main bartented in new bar. (lol His stares were little bit psycho and funny at the same time XD ) And also Naoto Takenaka who indeed is great actor, and so his acting was convincin in this drama too. He played role of Ryu´s “boss” in bar in Paris, who came back to Japan due to some work. I did not like his character XD , because even Ryu respected him, and wanted to show him his progress and wanted his advice, he was too cold towards kind Ryu. But later I realised he wished for him to became more strong bartender and person too.
Back to conclusion about story...I think it is right drama for long winter evenings as it has kinda calm and soothing plot. Ok time to time you can feel a bit of thrill, but definitelly it is drama for resting your mind and to enjoy beautiful and charming Ryu serving delicious cocktails and helping his troubled costumers. Plus you can find some inspiring quotations which makes heart warmer.♥ Anyhow nobody can say NO to Aiba  and alcohol right? XD Give this drama try :)
my rating: 6,5/10

Fuku-chan of FukuFuku Flats, interiorismo japonés
