That one Twitter Meme from Mhyuo but with Stankyle/OrangeChai:
What do you meant this isn’t what happened? Kyle was totally Stanley’s very first crush & bi awakening even though he was unaware but he shook enough to drop his cigarette Kyle’s driver gave him-btw.
Flagless/Non Blurry Ver & Longer Explanation Below:
Wdym that you were only a year old after gaining your first crush after being immediately sent overseas and staying in the workshops in Europe for a month and then you met this cool engine while working on the front who’s a couple of months older than you yet already had crow’s feet’s and eyebags but the biggest smile and he had more experience who then takes you underneath his wing and taught you everything he knew and he didn’t get mad at you even you made mistakes that you couldn’t help yourself that you end up being labeled as a jinx and derailed every single day unlike the others including him who was considered to be “lucky” but he gives you advice, defends you and keeps you company and you didn’t even know what exactly love is until it was explained to you but you still had a vague perception on it until you come to this realization when you constantly think of him and his smile and his attempts to cheer you up and makes you laugh you love hearing him laugh and just around him ..
Yeah that couldn’t be me.

How is Clear Sky literally always worse than I remember him?? (I stopped DOTC at the third book I believe)
It may have something to do with the fact you stopped at Book 3, which is First Battle. The book after First Battle is The Blazing Star (and the one I'm posting from now), where the narrative has just decided to treat him as a completely new person.
He never addresses anything about how fucking awful he was in books 1 - 3. Book 4 hits and the book falls face-first into a "redemption arc" which is just everyone immediately forgiving him even though he's still a huge piece of shit. He's "Working Sooo Hard" to not randomly murder people and that means he's a good person, and the writers have a panic attack if any character goes more than 30 seconds without sucking his toes.
So if you're coming at it with Clear Sky from books 1 - 3 in mind, it's infuriating. You remember the actual character they wrote so the "redemption arc" feels as flat as it actually is. It's like watching Fire Lord Ozai suddenly be considered a good guy and the entire plot of Avatar changing midway through Book 2.

hey will be off tumblr for the rest of the week - things are Happening again and my head feels ready to explode.........would really appreciate prayer again. I'm constantly feeling like I'm on the brink of something (I don't KNOW what) terrible and I need to figure things out without before my body really DOES decide to shut down from the stress and the strange depressive dread that has been very difficult to shake this month. I would like to not feel like crying or throwing up at certain points in the day and also would like to not be so exhausted in the heart and mind area so that I can actually deal with these things. Especially since finals are looming ahead

Fanfic roadmap for the near future...
So I'm working on a longer oneshot wip and it's about 69% done. (I won't promote it on this blog when I do post it, but there's your hint as to its contents.)
But, after that, inspiration to revisit my series, The Risen Lamb and the Fallen God, has definitely hit. Though I still cherish it dearly, there's a lot I want to expand upon! I wrote it a year ago in a hyperfixated stupor, and looking back at it now, I have so many more ideas I want to delve more into. I'm planning to absolutely keep my first drafts up as a series because I intended for most of them to be able to stand alone. This time around I'll probably write it as a multichapter fic, since I aim to build upon many of the plot elements. With all I'm planning to add, I expect the wordcount to double.
For those of you who are following me from my earlier days, I'd love to hear from you all what you want to see more of in a rewrite of the series. I don't think I'll delete many (if any) scenes from my first draft, but some ideas I plan to detail further in my new-and-improved Narilamb saga include the following so far: the awkward not-quite-enemies but not-quite-friends stage between Narinder and the Lamb, Lamb's raw bitterness towards Narinder soon after the boss fight for betraying them (and vice versa!), lore from the Relics of the Old Faith update including interactions with the Mystic Seller (and thus Lamb needing Narinder's guidance on wielding the crown, which opens them up to the idea of how much they actually need him as an ally), Narinder interacting with the other members of the cult... among other smaller ideas as well.
When I started thinking about this series again, it made me realize how many of my readership have stuck around from my early days in the fandom. Those of you who have stuck around for more than a year and continue to read what I put out, especially, seeing you continuously makes me so, so happy. I appreciate you all so much.
Anyway. Let me know what y'all want to see too.
