hey you have good opinions, what do you think about Fallout New California?

This was one of those mods I streamed back at my moms house where I still had a white board I would use to keep track of certain things (usually instances of racism or bad writing in any mod). Iirc I added a new category that was called 'cringe' and I just gave up making a tally chart and filled it up to the top like I just got $10000 to fix the school's roof in 1996. This was even before we left the vault as chat had spoiled the big twist for me (at my request). Upon leaving the vault I can't remember how far we got but I remember there was fuck all to do so I uninstalled it because it made a bunch of changes to FNV that I Did Not Want.

I'm sure that scoreboard is still on my blog somewhere and I know I've got the vods on my comp. And probably some clips on @acequs . But I can't really be bothered to look through them right now. All I know is I really didn't like it, most people even those who like it agree the writing took a nose dive near the end. But to be fair, there are literally only two 'dlc-sized story' mods I like; Boom to the Moon and Autumn Leaves.

THAT BEING SAID... I recently watched mikeburnfire's review of New California. And while it didn't really change how I felt about the mod, it *did* change my perspective a bit. The mod has a few interesting ideas and isn't entirely a waste of years of work, and that big twist everyone hates wasn't even supposed to be true, apparently. I still don't ever plan on reinstalling it though.

Remember when I managed to stream Fallout 3 a couple years back? Neither do I. Due to a bizarre choice on Bethesda's part to call the 'Canadian versions' of fo3's DLCs 'French versions', I ended up buying the wrong ones years ago, got no refund, and decided to simply play none of them out of spite.

Thanks to GOG and Fallout 3 GOTY Edition going on sale at some point (and thanks to TTW being WAY easier to set up than I thought), I now have every reason to and no excuse not to finally experience Fallout 3's DLCs! For the first time! I literally know next to nothing about (most of) them!

Join me this Friday (January 12th) at 6pm EST as I attempt to get to Operation Anchorage from the moment I leave Vault 101 to kick off this journey into what I hope is more of a funny than miserable experience.

La noche es oscura y alberga horrores

Vaya, vaya, vaya. Nunca nos imaginaríamos que Gong Byug Soo, acabaría siendo presa de nuestras garras y la de nuestros queridos paparazzies. Resulta que al atractivo mánager de Pegasus se le pudo ver hace unas noches en una discoteca de la ciudad un poco pasado de rosca, es decir, le había dado a la bebida más que lo que un cuerpo es capaz de soportar. Pero ahí no acaba la cosa. Resulta -y no sabemos porqué- que Jay (así es como lo conocemos, su nombre es demasiado extraño), el joven que lleva una de las fanbases más conocidas del grupo que el otro representa, también se encontraba allí.

En un momento de la noche, y no sabemos cómo pudo surgir, hubo un encontronazo entre ambos que acabó a pleno grito en el local, aunque por desgracia el ensordecedor sonido de la música impedía que se pudiera escuchar bien aquello que se decían. Creemos poder haber oído que al mayor de estos dos no le hace demasiada gracia que el otro se pasee alrededor de los chicos de Pegasus, pero claro, cualquiera sabe si esto es cierto o si de verdad lo ha dicho, porque al final la discusión terminó cuando ambos entraron en una sala privada, donde ya sí que perdimos la pista de su conversación al completo.

No sabemos qué ocurrió ahí dentro y juramos que pagaríamos oro por saberlo, sobre todo cuando pasada casi una hora ambos salieron, Jay casi cargando al mayor y llevándoselo fuera de la discoteca. Aquellos dos parecían que iban a llegar a las manos en cualquier momento, y al final resultó que Byungsoo necesitó ayuda de aquel al que gritaba ¡Pero ahí no acaba la cosa! ¿A que no sabéis a dónde acabó llevando el chico al mánager? ¡A su casa! Sí sí, lo montó en su coche y lo llevó hasta su casa, no a la del mayor y no a la del grupo, ¡sino a la suya! Ahí ya sí que no sabemos qué pensar, quizás es que las responsabilidades como jefe del club de fans han aumentado y nosotras ni siquiera nos hemos enterado, y ahora cubren borracheras de mánagers y cuidados para dormir la mona.

En fin chicos, nosotros teníamos a Byungsoo por alguien serio y respetable, pero supongo que tampoco se le puede encasillar por una pillada pasado de rosca, al final todos terminan emborrachándose y dando el espectáculo alguna vez, lo que sí que nos deja sorprendidas es la devoción que debe tener Jay por el grupo de idols, que es capaz de aguantar una bronca e incluso acabar ayudando a alguien a quien ni siquiera le gusta que se aceque a los chicos. Esperamos que la resaca fuera bien y ya esté totalmente recuperado, desde aquí le aconsejamos beber mucha agua y descansar, ¡y comer si se va a beber!
