Tips for Subtle Back-to-School Agere <3

Decorate!

use fun keychains and pins on your backpack. No one is going to care about it or question it even if it's the plushie/toy keychains

Notebooks! I drew a bunch of drawings on mine and added stickers.

Water bottle! It is so easy to find "regular"/adult bottles that have tips similar to sippy cups. You can also add stickers to these as well

Dress how you want!

Their are sooo many fashion trends that you can easily pass off your comfort/agere outfits such as

baggy clothes/pajamas

Kawaii/lolita fashion (wear your pastels, cute clothes, and cute jewelry) the image shows a simple version but you get the point

Honestly any clothes you feel comfortable and regressed in no one will bat an eye to

Accessorize!

wear any necklaces, rings, bracelets, whatever you'd like!

Do things "ironically"

have something like a lego ninjago backpack or any character backpack (it's better to use characters from your childhood era compared to newer shows) if you show up with a Sesame Street backpack most kids will find it funny and it could be a good conversation starter. With older shows it's easier to pass it off as something ironic and nostalgic

This can also apply to shirts with little kid shows on them as well. Shirts might be a safer option than a backpack especially since shirts with things like Rugrats are quite popular.

Adult coloring books!

no one will care/judge you if they see you coloring a book. If you want to color something you can a get complex coloring books that aren't targeted towards kids

These are some of my general agere tips that I hope can help you guys out. I tried to include several gender neutral tips since many Amab can't do all these "cute"/"girly" things safely. For reference I am in high school. (This is also my first post so let me know what you think 🥺)

Me and my QPP are both hella traumatized. My partner had less of a childhood than me and missed out on seeing a lot of children cartoons, so I get to introduce her to those cartoons! We’re healing our inner child, and I get to help with hers!
