i have some comments on the few people complaining about the delays this caused. for clarification, the video was taken from a united airlines boeing 737 max back in june from what i understand, and the plane the winglet clipped was a delta air lines airbus a321.
Had the 737 not been going at taxiing speed, which after a quick google search is usually around 30 knots (or 30mph/55kph), and instead been going at takeoff speed, which for a 737 is around 160mph/260kph/130 knots, that winglet would've been taken off and the plane wouldn't be cleared to fly.
Even at that low of a speed, that kind of collision can still cause damage requiring repairs. I'm not saying it definitely will, but it's not entirely impossible. One of the Delta passengers, Erik Wilson, also told CNN that the collision felt like a brief earthquake, which tells me that while the collision definitely looks minor, it was possibly more severe than it looks.
The APU, a critical component of the airplane, is right where the 737 hit the Airbus. It is very possible that even that mild of a collision could damage the APU.
If this happened to a plane I was on I would much rather get off the plane and have my flight get delayed lmao

Un pasajero a bordo de un vuelo surcoreano abrió una puerta de emergencia momentos antes de que el avión aterrizara, desencadenando caos y pánico entre los 194 pasajeros en la cabina azotada por el viento.

I’m gonna post more from my visit to the airport to see my dads friends. we get escort access to the ramp and hangars!
this really cool shot of a c-17 I got at the airport on Monday! with a plane in the background (im not good with the regional jets so idk what that is) there was also a presidential helicopter but I didn’t get a photo of it, left by the time we made it to the ramp
The C-32, often nicknamed the Air Force Two (though that name is subjective it’s just common for it) was also there and I had NO IDEA beforehand. There’s always some random plane in this spot and I was like HUH??????? the prez was in town so that’s why there’s so much military
Incoming a321 into the hangar! There was an a319 right next to it and we went up into the cockpit as always, didn’t rlly get pictures tho :(
pretty awesome 777-200! Among the biggest that come in here. unfortunately starting next year they end their service and will be replaced w the 787 :(
and finally, the cheese bus of the sky and aer lingus
I also did sit inside a 787 cockpit but I only got a video (my face is there) so i wouldn’t post it. I might post the ones from last year where I did take photos of me in one
