So, I figured I could maybe do one of these intro posts as well ...
About me :)
That's me:
My name is Alexandra, I'm female and mainly use she/her pronouns, however I think I'm also okay with they/them.
I'm legally an adult, even though I still often can't quite believe that yet (my exact age is in my bio because I would probably forget to update it in this post).
I speak German and English fluently, I also know a little Spanish. I have an interest in learning new languages, so far I've started to learn tiny bits of Russian, Japanese, Scottish Gaelic and Welsh!
~~~
My blog:
I originally made this blog mainly to post my art, however over time it turned a bit more into a selfship blog. Nowadays I post/reblog mostly selfship art and imagines/writing, but also "regular" stuff from fandoms that I like, and occasionally just some random memes or cute/funny things.
Some fandoms I'm in (more or less, I'm usually not super active in the sense that I engage a lot with other people - I'm sometimes kinda shy to approach/interact with new people - , but I enjoy these franchises): Star Wars, Hogan's Heroes, Phineas and Ferb, Warrior Cats, Pirates of the Caribbean, various cartoons and animated series (Gravity Falls, Amphibia, Trollhunters, The Dragon Prince, The Penguins of Madagascar, ...) and probably some more that I'm currently forgetting about xD Feel free to ask about them!
I selfship mainly for fun and for comfort, to me it's a kind of selfcare/selflove. I generally feel comfortable with sharing f/os, especially the ones that I'm not very focused at right now. However, I might not interact much with someone who has headcanons about them that heavily contradict with mine or just makes me somehow uncomfortable. Otherwise feel free to interact so we can gush about them together^^
You are allowed to reblog everything unless stated otherwise!
~~~
Tags I use to keep my blog organised (or at least attempt to):
#selniasart - my own art
#selniaswriting - my own writing, will probably be mostly x reader stories, headcanons or f/o imagines
#selniasoriginal - any other form of original content that doesn't fit into the categories above (memes etc.), basically anything that's not a reblog
#others' creations - art or writing made by other people
#asks for selnia - as the name says, any asks that I get
In theory I also have tags for my main f/os (mentioned in the f/o section), however I'm really not sure yet if I'm going to use them consistently or just stick to the character's names.
Also just fyi I started implementing my tagging system in February 2023, so most things before that (except my art) are unfortunately not tagged systematically!
~~~
Self shipping:
I have made a carrd for any information related to my self ships. This includes an overview of my fictional others, a short description of my self-inserts, as well as an introduction to their relationships. I have only started making it in summer 2023, and it's still a work in progress as more info will be added over time.
My self-insert is usually called Selina (or variations thereof, like Selena), I have different versions of her for different universes. I don't mind if you use her name to refer to me as well.
"Disclaimer": My taste in fictional characters doesn't reflect my taste in real-life people (especially in regards to their age, since most of them are a lot older than me), also many of them are villains/have done questionable things and I wouldn't support their actions in real life.
Current main f/os:
Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz (2nd Dimension) [Phineas and Ferb] | Tag: f/o: 🚂
Hector Barbossa [Pirates of the Caribbean] | Tag: f/o: 🏴‍☠️
Davy Jones [Pirates of the Caribbean] | Tag: f/o: 🐙
The Horned King [The Black Cauldron] | Tag: f/o: 💀
~~~
DNI:
Basic things that you find in pretty much everyone's DNI criteria like racists, neonazis, religious extremists, LGBTQ-phobes, pedophiles, zoophiles etc., I think you know the drill. If you are any of these or otherwise a problematic and gross person please stay away. Basically just don't be an asshole or be unnecessarily hateful/harmful towards people who just want to exist in peace. (Also I'm not too familiar with the whole "pro-shipping" debate or what the exact definition of it is, but I'd rather not interact with adults who ship with children characters, or people who glorify/romanticise topics like pedophilia, incest, abuse etc.)
Other than that I don't really have any specific criteria, but if you're hateful against selfshipping or shame people for having "cringe" interests, this might not be a place for you either.
All in all, as long as you're a decent person you're welcome to stay, I'm really just here to have fun and talk about my favourite characters :)
~~~
Additional info:
Most of the stuff I post/reblog is suitable for general audiences, and I generally don't mind people of any age following me (unless maybe you're under the age of 13, but then you shouldn't be on Tumblr anyway).
However I won't completely exclude posting/reblogging adult content, but I will try my best to tag it appropriately with tags like "nsfw", "nsft", "explicit", "spicy", "suggestive" and the like. If you don't want to see these things, I suggest blacklisting these tags, especially if you're a minor. For my own posts, I will also always put a "read more" link and a warning before the actual content, so it isn't right in your face and you can decide on your own if you want to look at it or not. [By now I do have a dedicated side blog for adult self ship content as well. I'm a little secretive about it, but I tend to share the @ every once in a while.]
I also have a roleplay side blog for my Pirates of the Caribbean OC/self-insert: @selenafinley-rp Feel free to follow there too! :)
My other social media:
I may edit this post in the future in case I feel like there needs something to be changed.
My Music for February 2023
Dear Tumblr,
Roses are red, vinyl records are black and did Lana Del Rey just say fuck Valentine’s day and fuck all these men, this is the experience of being an American Whore on her new track? I’m loving it and here for it. Anyways, here is Miss Solitude hoping your February was divine. With February being the shortest month of the year I didn’t think I would have so many songs to cover with my audience here nevertheless the music that dropped was just incredible. I’m looking forward to seeing some of these artists this year perform at concerts and festivals I will be attending this year.  I’m really looking forward to Kali Uchis and Lana Del Rey’s new album coming out this March. I have already pre-order Lana’s new album on vinyl record and look forward to that being the 1st record of 2023 added to the collection unless I ever get The Movements “Feel Something” album that I ordered back in November of 2022 from Merch Bar…so annoying that I have not received my vinyl record yet. But anyways here is the link for Februarys music on Spotify:
Hecate and a violent witch s/o
Violent witch s/o
Violent? Witch? Aha, perfect for Hecate!
She herself can be violent, so when her s/o bites, she bites back
She doesn’t mind showing them their correct place- in fact, she’d be happy to ;)
Anything about witchcraft is a topic of interest to Hecate
She has viles of potions and books of sloppily written spells littered about the space she occupies
Would love it if her s/o practiced witchcraft with her, especially if it means she could learn something from them
Has a ton of herbs and spices that she’s happy to let her s/o use
She gets so excited that you’d think she was a kid in a candy shop with a $20 bill
Wants her s/o to tell her everything they know
Show her your grimore and she’s gingerly flipping through the pages, memorizing everything that she can
She’s just really excited her s/o takes an interest in the same thing as her, and she shows it with her short bursts of ramblings
Also can i just ask What is Hecate like as a yandere? (With a girl daeling perhaps :o)
Yandere Hecate
Hecate as a Yandere is nothing close to being harmless, oh no. Your happiness doesn’t equate to happiness for her. Rather, she needs to be with you for her to be happy.
She is a stalker. She’ll follow her little darling around day in and day out, picking up all of the normalities in their day. When they wake up, when they normally eat, when they go to sleep, what times they’re in what location- Hecate memorizes them all as a part of her plan to capture her destined lover. She knows the difference between people who are friends with you versus any threats to taking you away, and any threats will be eliminated within an instant.
She is obsessive. This comes along with her stalking nature, as she learns everything about her darling. This ranges from personal information and routines to the hobbies and interests that her darling has. She checks in often to be absolutely sure of what her lover is doing and when.
She is pretty much these two types of Yanderes in the form of one person, which can be a whole entire ride for someone to deal with. She’ll kill for her lover and does just about anything for them as long as they return her affections. But if they don’t? Hecate knows she’ll just have to train them to love her, be it through a reward system or punishments, and she’s alright with that.
She allowed her darling to hang out with friends, but she watches from a distance. As stated before, Hecate takes the time to observe each and every one of the people that her darling hangs out with. She will use spells to figure out how they feel toward her darling. If all they feel is platonic or a sibling-like affection, she’ll let them stay around her darling. But if there’s any form of a threat such as romantic feelings? They’re killed within an instant without hesitation. They aren’t a threat when they’re dead!
Hecate typically does not give out punishments as it hurts her to hurt or punish her darling, but she isn’t beyond them. If it’s needed in her eyes Hecate will always be ready to punish her special little interest in whatever way seems fitting to her. This can be anything physical or not, but the severity depends entirely on why she is punishing them.
Hecate wants her darling as close as possible at all times, so she does force them to live with her in a little abandoned shack in the woods. It’s kept tidy for both Hecate and her darling, and Hecate loves it when her darling helps her with her spells and potions. This can typically end up in her darling receiving a prize, as this makes Hecate feel happy and somewhat adored.
Note
how would Hecate react to meeting someone with multiple alters (DID)
Meeting someone with DID
Hecate doesn’t remember anything about DID- or if she even knew someone with it in her life
Because of this she takes a genuine interest in the disorder
What is it? How does it work?
However, due to her blunt nature, she can come off a bit...brash as she asks about the disorder
It tends to be questions more like “how long have you been fucky?” Or “What’s wrong with you?” Rather than her intended meaning of “how long have you had this?” or “Can you tell me about your disorder?”
Genuinely thinks it’s interesting when she learns about what it is
Wants to meet every alter, see which one fits best with her to create chaos
Over all thinks it’s cool, just lacks knowledge on it due to her situation!
Could I have a matchup please?? I'm a short trans guy (5'0 even) and I have brown hair that has a purple streak in it I'm really pale and have icy blue eyes too. I also have shortish hair uwu. I'm also v self conscious about things like my chest since I, sadly, can't afford a binder. I'm demisexual panromantic and get v uncomfortable with sex jokes. My usual clothing style is beanie, oversized hoodies, and leggings! Have a nice day and I love your blog uwu -☕
» tank u u sound cute owo I did 2 because I thot u would be cute with my oc as well fjjf
I match you with...
Nina
Nina gets incredibly excited about the purple streak in your hair, blabbing on and on about how you match her signature color of purple and that it’s super cute
Even if your hair is short, Nina enjoys getting the chance to play with it. She’ll put in as many hairties as she can, or do little braids. Someone’s she just runs her fingers through your hair. It’s intimate to her and she loves the feeling
Nina is on top of stealing you a binder as soon as you tell her you don’t have one. You have no choice- you’re getting a binder, wether it be legal or not
Nina will gladly let you steal one of the many hoodies she owns, including her famous purple one. She loves you, it’s the least she can do for you after you put up with her
Also Nina is 5’1, so being taller that someone makes her excited. She’ll try to pick you up and do dorky stuff like that, it makes her happy
Hecate
One thing that fascinates Hecate is eyes, especially that of her lover, so expect her to stare into yours a lot. She loves hoe they show emotion easier than words can convey and face will allow. She’ll be able to react if she knows how your feeling, and that’s how she knows when she needs to be more caring than asshole
She doesn’t understand your discomfort, but she’ll do her best to help. If this means figuring out how to get a binder from you, or avoiding certain words, she’s willing to do it to keep you pleased
Hecate’s style is much more on the end of fashion forward, but if you let her she’ll gladly accept an oversized hoodie from your wardrobe, though she’ll be sure to act like she doesn’t enjoy it. She really does, as well as everything else you do
Hecate is taller than you no matter what. This gives her the ability to lean on you and wrap you up tight when she can while you’re both alone. This will happen- no stopping it, you’re trapped.
