Any ships you’d like to share? ^^ (personally, I ship Chariel, Friskriel, and Charisk)

Hmm. I don’t really ship Undertale very much apparently, because I couldn’t think of any OTPs. I see most of the relationships as platonic.

Short answer: Not really.

I guess this will mostly be my thoughts on ships I don’t mind.

First, Toriel and Asgore. I personally find the rift in their relationship more Toriel’s fault than it is Asgore’s. I wouldn’t mind if they got back together. Also not a big deal if they don’t. It all depends on Toriel’s grudge, I guess. I’m not sure what got between them in Deltarune though, so I guess they split whether or not Asriel’s death, human souls and children, and barriers are factors.

Sans is shipped a lot. I can’t really see him getting into any serious relationships. He obviously cares about Papyrus and Toriel the most. I don’t do the whole incest shipping thing, so that’s out. They’re great skelebros. As for Toriel...

I don’t mind Soriel. It has a basis for a relationship. But my problem with it is that they aren’t close enough in age(equivalent age, at least). He calls her an old lady, so...I don’t think he sees their relationship as anything other than pun buddies.

Disregarding canon, I don’t mind AlphysxSans. They have something in common (science) even if it’s different fields(not sure San’s field, but I imagine him as a physicist, dabbling in astronomy and possibly meteorology(mostly on the surface cuz you can only get so much from limited access to books and glowing cave crystals). And Sans’ laid back personality could be helpful for Alphys. But the darker aspects of him might not be best for a relationship. All his secret-keeping could probably be damaging, especially to someone like Alphys who would assume the worst. Plus, Alphys is taken. So there’s that.

Again with disregarding canon. Mettaton x Alphys is okay I guess. I don’t really see that one around much, but I could potentially see it happening. Mettaton is a bit vain, which could throw a wrench in any relationship, but he also did go through the trouble of helping Alphys “help” Frisk (even if he sorta threw it all out the window at the end by actually fighting Frisk). But at the same time, I don’t really imagine them being each other’s type. As friends, sure. Anything more, not really.

I could see Sans x Drunk Bunny. Mostly one-sided. Could also just be flirty and nothing substantial beyond that. Drunk Bunny would probably flirt with anyone.

I don’t think about the kids too much. Cuz shipping them with adults is uncomfortable, and they’re a bit young to date each other. Platonically speaking, they’re all great. Even Flowey.

To sum it up: I mostly just see everyone as friends. Not much beyond that.

Although, if we’re considering Deltarune, Susie x Kris is sorta growing on me.

11) Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

Hmmm… I think in Undertale I like most characters a lot and there is enough love for any character. In other fandoms…. I can’t really say on the top of my head if I ever liked an unpopular character the rest of the fandom didn’t (because I usually am just sitting in my little corner of the fandom and not engage in the bigger drama). But sometimes there were some really loud voices hating/criticizing a character that I couldn’t really follow. I remember Aang from Avatar getting a lot of negative attention, as well as Yugi and Rebecca from Yugioh (and Anzu too… I used to be critical of her myself but I was young and dumb and now I like her well enough) There were loud voices criticizing Toriel and Asgore from Undertale (most in relation to shipping drama if I remember correctly) and way back in the day in the German Harry Potter Fandom there was a lot of Ron bashing. But as I said, there were always people still loving these characters and those who didn’t were usually a loud but small group in the fandom.

As for why I like these characters: Well I usually like the bright and optimistic ones certain corners of some fandoms deem to be “boring” and “not realistic/to idealistic/childish” and I don’t see it that way. The other Reason I can think of is that some characters get heat because of shipping reasons and I usually stay away from that. I am a multishipper and shipper can ship what they ship and I don’t have to justify my ship by “sinking the competition” or something.

4.) Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

Undertale: Asgore and Toriel post-game. I don’t have anything against their relationship before that. I think they were a cute couple. But shit happened and time went on and I really don’t see them getting back together again, not after everything. (also in Deltarune they are still divorced even without the war). I won’t ever deny that they had something great and were in love but it ended and I don’t see them getting back together. No clue if the pairing is popular thou. Like I said I usually stay out of the bigger shipping debates.

Undertale: UndynexPapyrus. I love Undyne, I love Papyrus but I don’t ship them. It’s not a popular ship as far as I see it but some do and it’s not my cup of tea. I love their friendship but I just can’t see them in a relationship.

Undertale: AlphysxSans. Same as above. I think they got an interesting relationship and dynamic buuuut I don’t see them working out together. Not a popular ship as far as I know too so I don’t stumble over it that often.

Otherwise I am pretty open to any and all pairings. I think I have more NOTPs but I can’t think of any in this moment. At least not in the fandoms I am currently in. I am a multishipper at heart and when I got 2 OTPs I usually combine stuff to OT3s and the likes. XD NOTPs usually come from me disliking a character so much I dont wanna have them in any relationship with my faves. Otherwise I can be talked into almost any pairing as long as I can get into the characters and the story. :)
