drowser

A drowser is a type of headmate who has the distinct ability to lull their system into sleep. They may also use their ability to induce sleepiness in their system's brain during periods of insomnia, or when rest is direly needed and not easy to attain otherwise.

The ability may be possible due to the drowser's own tendency to become sleepy, which they then pass onto other fronters or the entire front, or it may be a result of their willingness to fall asleep that they focus on to overcome another headmate's fear of sleeping.

Coiner: The unconscious ANTI ENDO/DEMO/TULPA

Rationaliser is an alter who in a system whose state of mind can often get irrational (For example having BPD) this alter would front or co front and help rationalise anything, this could be them rationalising a bad idea, and making sure the irrational thought does not get control over the alter struggling, or help rationalise a thought into a good idea, as in helping the system not overthink into not doing something. This alter can be a protector, holder or caretaker. They can also be a persecutor but never intentionally. This role is usually given to/formed for someone who cannot handle having irrational thoughts.

Ragdoll - a term for headmates in a system who front during times of stress, abuse or other generally bad situations. not necessarily to help the situation but just to be there so the other headmates dont have to front through it. may also be a protector but not necessarily.

*Berserker /  Scoundrel / Miscreant:

An alter who has no intention of being nice, protecting, or cooperating with others. They are not misguided persecutors and hold some sort of resentment or want to hurt the system. They may be introjects of abusers, formed due to self-hatred, or other such things.

Incomer / *Bionut:

An alter disconnected enough from the system's trauma to function solely in front after traumatic events or when typically not functioning due to trauma. [ i.e. being triggered, being in a room with an abuser, etc]

Outsider / *Black Sheep:

An alter who deals with the trauma of feeling left out, and being targeted by people [ friends, family, etc ]. They may act out and try to isolate the body, bully others, and try and avoid being further traumatized.

*Blurnaut / Linked Alters / Linked:

Two or more alters who blur together often, co-front often, or are otherwise so intrinsically paired that it is uncommon to find them separated, and is easier to mention them as one/together.

*Border / Bodyguard:

An alter who intervenes and acts when an alter is influencing others with a flashback, impulsive behavior, panic attack, or otherwise unhealthy behavior. They may act to isolate this person, comfort them, or take the steps necessary to stop that alter from influencing the rest of the system.

Babysitter / *Brother|Sister|Sibling Figure:

An alter who takes over a role similar to caregiver, but goes about it more so in the way a sibling may look after a young sibling. They may take temporary care of a little, do so with the presence of an adult, or otherwise have "rules" to their caregiving. However there is no wrong or right way to identify with this role.

*Buffer / Intermediate:

An alter who protects alters from fronting at the wrong times by taking their place. They might prevent a little from fronting during a traumatic event, or an anxiety holder from being triggered in public. They may only front temporarily while they work to trigger out someone appropriate for the situation. THESPIAN: A thespian alter is an alter who deals with acting in one way or another. Whether it's to hold acting or theatre related memories, or maybe they indulge in acting as a way to deal with stress and trauma. They may also, less commonly, use their acting skills to put on an act to protect the system. CRAFTSPERSON: A craftsperson is an alter who deals with craft-type art in some capacity. Painting, sketches, sculptures, etc. These alters may hold memories in regards to arts and crafts, or maybe they partake in arts and crafts to deal with trauma or stress. NERVE-WRECK: A nerve-wreck is an alter who's job is to be suspicious and nervous about situations and people that seem "suspicious." These alters usually have some amount of anxiety or paranoia, so they may also be considered anxiety or paranoia symptom holders.
