one cool thing i did is I got slightly better at singing right around the time where I started becoming aware of my gender bullshit and getting self-conscious of my singing voice for different reasons, that's timing bb

set me on fire (so i can rise)
so fpx has been doing ridiculously well and deokdam beat ruler for the first time in his career and i sat down and vomited thirteen hundred words of brainrot onto the page. i had originally intended it for tumblr so i'm posting it here but it's theoretically long enough for me to post it as an actual fic so like. if anyone wants that let me know. no previous knowledge really needed and i'm too lazy to link stuff so just. here you go have fun
title is from fpx's phoenix because come on it was too perfect of a situation
(deokdam and viper are both aphelios, ruler is xayah, life is tahm kench, missing is thresh, flandre is graves, milkyway is kindred, none of the others really matter)
canon-typical violence under the cut but nothing graphic!
also don't yell at me about the moon formatting i already know i can't fix it ok
Deokdam has never beaten Ruler. He’s faced him more times than plenty of other AD carries, but each of their twelve matches has stayed in his head for longer than he’d like to admit. Maybe it’s that he’s the first world champion Deokdam ever faced. It’s hard to forget the feeling of barely even being able to stand in his presence, let alone put up a proper fight. But as the years went on, Deokdam’s losses to the other AD carry only got more and more depressing, and…well. He guesses it’s sort of a Thing by now.
And so, even though he and his team have been doing far better than anyone expected, even beating TES and JackeyLove, Deokdam can’t help but feel apprehensive about their upcoming match. But…they’ve come this far by trusting each other. And so, as they start their warmups before the match, Deokdam taps Life on the shoulder. “You were his support for years,” he says quietly. “What’s his weakness?”
A sly smirk spreads across Life’s face, and he responds just as quietly. “He has a habit of overstepping. He’s overconfident. And it happens more often than you might think, especially now that he doesn’t have me anymore…”
Deokdam hesitantly returns his smile. “Thanks. I think I have an idea.”
As Deokdam exchanges bows with Ruler, he keeps his eyes trained on the other AD carry, watching his every move. He steps forward first, just as Life predicted, and Deokdam can’t help but smile. Something feels different this time as he takes a step back, dodging Ruler’s first attack and beginning the dance back-and-forth, and Deokdam thinks he knows why.
“I think I’ve figured it out,” Viper says, his voice of moonlight so similar to Deokdam’s and yet nothing alike as he offers his hand to Deokdam, who takes it gratefully, allowing Viper to pull Deokdam to his feet.
“What, how to beat me? Because I’m pretty sure you figured that out a while ago,” Deokdam says, trying to pass it off as a joke, but his magical voice betrays his frustration. He’d accepted Viper’s request to spar over the offseason without a second thought, eager to practise both with his friend and someone with far more skill than him, but after the third day, Deokdam is just exhausted, and Viper absolutely destroying him every round isn’t exactly making him feel much better.
“No, not that,” Viper says, sighing. “Let’s sit down. We should get water anyway.” Well, he’s right about one thing, at least. Even though it doesn’t do anything to put out the fire in his throat, Deokdam’s definitely dehydrated by now, and just the act of drinking it is refreshing. It also means he can avoid asking what Viper did mean for a bit, but eventually, his curiosity gets the better of him, and he asks Viper just that.
“Oh, right. Well, I think I figured out your problem. Fighting,” he quickly adds, evidently seeing Deokdam’s face and how he was about to say he has far more than one problem to worry about. “You think too much about yourself.”
The words hit him harder than any dose of noctum. Great. He already feels awful for drowning himself in self-pity practically all of last spring and half of summer, but it hurts even more coming from his friend.
Viper frowns. “Wait, no, not—” He sighs. “I don’t mean that you’re selfish, Deokdam. Just that you get too much in your own head. You’re so focused on what you should do that you’re not paying enough attention to your opponent, so when I do something unexpected, you get caught completely off-guard.”
Oh. The tension eases from Deokdam’s shoulders somewhat. That…makes a lot more sense.
“I used to have the opposite problem, actually,” Viper continues. “I was always so focused on what the enemy was doing that I forgot my teammates were there too. I didn’t trust them, and our coordination would always be slightly…off. I never really fixed it until…well. You’re a lot better at it than I am. You’ve always had much better synergy with your teams. So you don’t need to worry about that. What I do want you to worry about is your opponent.” He stands up with a smile. “One last round?”
Deokdam can’t help but return it, standing up and following him back to the sparring ring. “Sure.”
“Okay. I want you to keep your focus on me. Your instincts are good enough by now, but you trip yourself up. Don’t think about what you’re doing at all. Just trust yourself, and try to defeat me.”
Just trust yourself. Your instincts are good enough. It’s not that Deokdam would ever say Viper was wrong in saying that, per se, but for the first time, Deokdam thinks he might have been right as he fires a shot at Ruler, clipping him in the shoulder and dodging away from the chains that Missing sends flying at him.
Smoke begins to swirl around the battlefield, meaning Flandre must have taken out Xiaolaohu in his pocket realm, and if Showmaker hadn’t complained about it being completely unfair every other week in 2022, Deokdam would be realising just how annoying it is right about now. Thanks to Kellin, though, Deokdam has plenty of practice of fighting with irritating gases everywhere, and he can just barely make out the silhouette of Missing’s body right before he throws his hook at Deokdam, and he sidesteps it on instinct. Something grazes his side—one of Ruler’s razor-sharp feathers—but Deokdam hardly feels it thanks to the fire already burning in his veins. All it does is reveal Ruler’s position, and Deokdam fires another shot in his direction.
Ruler lets out a grunt of pain, but he must still think he has the advantage, what with the smoke everywhere, because he takes another step forward, obviously confident. Too confident, because now he’s close enough that Deokdam can see his figure through the smoke. He fires a shot at Ruler’s leg, trying to knock him off balance, and Ruler predictably launches himself into the air, flinging an array of feathers at Deokdam. But with his wings flapping to keep himself in the air, he’s blowing the smoke away, and Deokdam switches weapons, launching a gravity orb at Ruler and clenching his fist, pulling him down to earth. He thinks his legs are bleeding, but it doesn’t matter, not when he switches back to his first weapon, shooting Ruler right in the chest and eliminating him, a faint red mark glowing where his Guild’s magic protected him.
With their AD carry gone, Deokdam and his teammates are able to make quick work of what remains of JD Guild, especially thanks to Milkyway’s arrows that Deokdam swears have homing magic on them. The rest of the match is a bit of a blur, but the ceremony afterwards stays clear in his mind. Flandre is just as good-natured as Deokdam remembers, and Yagao has a quiet smile even in defeat, but when Deokdam shakes Ruler’s hand, the other AD carry murmurs in Korean, “Well fought.”
As he walks away, Deokdam catches a glimpse of himself, and if his heart weren’t already pounding out of his chest from the adrenaline rush, it would be now from the shock. Ruler’s glow given by the Rift might be powerful, but right now, Deokdam shines with a light far more important, moonlight gleaming brightly in an aura all around him. It doesn’t go away, even as Milkyway heals his wounds, and when they leave, Deokdam chances a look up at the sky. There, peeking through the stormy clouds, Deokdam can see Her light shining down from above for the first time since he came to China, and he can’t help but smile.
Thank you, he thinks. I’ll use your gift even better than before.

Oooh I love all the options ahsjdj I wanna do them all 😭 I’ll do 1+2 for now, but I might do the 3rd one for fun sometime later. I hope you like it!! xx
Scenario: Aomine taking care of an overworked Kise (aokise)
It’d been a while since Aomine had gotten a chance to spend time with Kise. Between modelling, basketball and school, the blonde always had one commitment after the other and it was nearly impossible for Aomine to have him all to himself. It didn’t help that they went to different schools either. However, Kise finally had some free time after a practice game and he chose to spend it with his boyfriend.
Kise suggested that they meet up after his game, but there was no way Aomine was going to miss a basketball match that Kise was playing in- even if it was just a practice match. It would give Aomine the opportunity to see the progress that Kise had made during his practice as well as the ability to just watch him. Aomine would be perfectly content with watching Kise do absolutely nothing for hours, and the ability to watch that model run up and down with his perfect skin glistening with sweat? Yes please.
Aomine got there while the Kaijo team was still warming up and Kise’s face immediately brightened up at the sight of him. He stopped his stretches just to give Aomine an enthusiastic wave, to which he responded with an awkward wave of his own. However, their small moment was quickly cut short by Kasamatsu yelling at Kise to concentrate, making Aomine chuckle as Kise got back to what he was doing. And almost immediately, Aomine noticed that Kise wasn’t putting any weight onto his left ankle. Was his injury back? Once their warmups were over, the blonde wasted no time in running over to Aomine and pouncing onto him and giving him a hug that made him lose his balance for a moment.
“Aomine-cchi! You made it! I haven’t seen you in so long! I missed you,” Kise greeted, voice as cheery as ever.
“Hey, I’ve missed you too, you dumbass,” Aomine smiled, holding onto his waist and giving him a peck on his lips. “Is your ankle okay? It seemed a bit off when you were warming up just now.”
“Huh? Oh that,” Kise remembered the slight ache he felt on his ankle, “it’s nothing, don’t worry about it. Anyways, are you ready to see me absolutely demolish the other team?”
Aomine was very well aware that it wasn’t just ‘nothing’ like Kise said it was, but he didn’t dwell on it too much because he believed that it wouldn’t be too much of an issue since it was just practice. “I know you can beat all those other teams but I know you’ll never beat me,” Aomine teased, sparking the start of their usual back and forths.
The game eventually began and Aomine headed up to the second floor to watch after wishing Kise good luck. As expected, Kaijo dominated the other team with ease. However, that didn’t stop Kise from showing off- Aomine was watching him after all. The amber eyed boy was giving it his all, and Aomine was definitely amused by it, but a small part of him was slightly concerned about Kise going overboard. And just that thought popped into his head, Kise collapsed to the floor all by himself. The game stopped and the coach and a few others rushed to check on him. Of course, Aomine also sprinted onto the court without hesitation.
“What’s wrong?” Aomine questioned as he got there, seeing his red-cheeked and delirious boyfriend on the floor, being held up by the coach.
“He has a fever,” informed Kasamatsu. “Do you mind taking him home and making him get some rest?”
“Home? No!” Kise protested, slurring his words. “I’m fine, I can play more!”
“Don’t worry, I can take him home,” Aomine said, ignoring what Kise had to say.
Aomine took his jacket off and wrapped it around Kise before heaving the blonde onto his back to carry him home.
“You’re such an idiot, you know that?” Aomine scolded as he left the gym while giving Kise a piggyback ride.
“I’m not! I can play more! Put me down,” Kise demanded, on the verge of tears. His body was too weak to put up a struggle though.
“Babe your body is literally trembling right now, you’re not going anywhere,” Aomine said sternly.
Kise’s head rested on Aomine’s shoulder in defeat. Thinking that it was the end of Kise’s ridiculous protests, Aomine continued walking towards his house in silence. However, a few moments later he heard a soft sobbing which sent him into panic mode. Did he just make Kise cry?
“Kise? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
“My ankle hurts,” he cried into Aomine’s shoulder.
“It’s okay, I’ll put some ice on it when we get to my house— we’re not too far, just hold on for a little longer,” Aomine instructed, picking up his pace. In any other situation, Aomine would’ve been teasing him for crying over nothing, but he was fully aware that Kise hadn’t gotten a proper rest in weeks so he didn’t want to test him.
“Aomine-cchi, I let my team down,” he continued sobbing.
“It was just a practice match. It’s fine. Plus those guys will be just fine without you, they’re all strong,” Aomine reassured, gaining only a hum in response as Kise remained silent for the rest of the walk.
They finally got to Aomine’s house, where he helped Kise freshen up and lent him a fresh set of clothes. Even when he was sick he managed to look absolutely stunning to Aomine. Something about the way that his sweater was oversized on Kise’s small body had Aomine’s heart going into overdrive. All he wanted to do was cuddle him and shower him in kisses, but he didn’t because he was aware that Kise didn’t have the energy for that.
Aomine didn’t know how to cook, so he fed Kise some heated up pasta that his mother had left for him in the fridge before tucking him into his bed. Aomine carefully placed a cold towel on Kise’s forehead as well as an ice pack on his ankle.
“Are you comfortable? Do you want me to massage you or something?” Aomine asked.
“I’m fine. It’s just weird because you’re not teasing me or scolding me for once,” Kise said with a weak smile on his face.
Aomine chuckled and shook his head, “Once you feel better you won’t hear the end of my scolding, just you wait,” he threatened jokingly, making Kise giggle. Aomine sat on the floor by the bed and began to softly caress Kise’s warm cheek, making the blonde feel more at ease as his body began to completely relax.
Kise didn’t say anything for a while; all he did was sniffle. “Aomine-cchi,” he spoke again, voice soft as ever.
“Yeah?”
“I’m sorry we couldn’t go on our date,” he mumbled as his eyelids got heavier.
Amidst all the frenzy, Aomine had completely forgotten that they were meant to be going out until Kise brought it up. “Oh, that’s alright. We can go some other time,” Aomine replied.
“Really?”
“Of course, you weirdo. I’ll always make time for you, just say the word,” Aomine said, “Now I’ll leave you here to get some rest—“
“No!” Kise said quickly, gripping onto Aomine’s hand. “Please stay here with me.”
“My god, you really are a child,” Aomine sighed as he sat back down and returned to caressing Kise’s cheek. As much as he hated to admit it, couldn’t say no to Kise. “Alright I’ll stay.”
“Thank you,” Kise smiled as he closed his eyes. The room became silent after that. After a few moments, Aomine assumed that Kise was asleep but he remained seated there, watching his boyfriend look as beautiful as ever. “Aomine-cchi,” Kise mumbled suddenly, startling him for a moment. “I love you.”
Aomine felt his heart melt as a dorky smile spread across his face, making him glad that Kise’s eyes were shut. “I love you too dummy.”

Tsukista TV Ep 5 Summary Notes
Tumblr media
This week’s episode focused on Washio Shuuto, who plays You, and Tani Yoshiki, who plays Yoru. Read under the cut for the summary, screencaps, and gifs! I have to say, I knew Tani was the type of person who goofs off, but this episode really exemplified that to an even greater extent. Shuuto is also a precious cinnamon roll who puts up with Tani’s antics all the time. You’re always welcome to correct me on anything or ask me stuff if my writing isn’t clear! (Side note: next week’s Ep 6 notes will be delayed due to my final exams, but Ep 1 will be posted shortly after the Ep 6 notes.)
Tani did that challenge again to describe Procellarum in six seconds. He got as far as to say it’s the latin word for “sea of storms”  and that on stage Procellarum shines while singing and dancing.
Tomotsune calls them Tani-kun and Shuuto-kun
Discussing Tani’s Personality:
Tsubasa: He’s like a toy box (as in full of surprises) Tomotsune: So you pick him up and shake him? wwww
Tsubasa also said something about Tani being hot-headed and Tani complained. Tomotsune’s like “you made him boiling-mad now” but Tani’s yelling at him “I’m not hot-headed!!!!” (lol)
Yuusaku: “Tani-kun’s yellow-colored ‘image’ got stronger.” (By this I think they mean Tani’s connection to Yoru) Shuuto: “Well, he does always have a banana every day.” Tani: “I do not!”
Yuusaku says Tani’s like a dandelion
Tomotsune to Doi: “What do you think of Tani, Doi-san?” Doi: “‘Doi-san? Why aren’t you calling me ‘Doi-kun’ instead?”
Doi just agrees with Tsubasa and Yuusaku’s description. He also praises Tani’s skills. Tani says it makes him happy to hear that. Tomotsune: “Oh really? Stop being fake” wwww (I translated that to be more colloquial English, but that’s basically what Tomotsune said lol) Tani: *angrily* “What?? What do you mean?? This is a serious topic here” (he’s joking around as usual)
Shuuto: “He doesn’t have a bad mouth, he’s just a shitty brat” (he literally said “kusogaki” here, I’m dying lol)
Tumblr media
(Tani laughing as Shuuto makes fun of him)
Discussing Shuuto’s personality:
Tomotsune says Shuuto is very skilled. “I want a Shuuto-kun in my family” www. Shuuto is super humble and is like “no, no, no” the entire time.
Tomotsune also says his line memorization is good. He said あんきもとこいいらしい (anki mo to ii rashii) but Tsubasa misheard the “ankimo” as one word which means monkfish liver lol
Doi agrees that Shuuto memorizes lines really fast. Shuuto’s reply was something like he studies lines as much as he can until he can’t do it anymore. (I wish I could understand it better since Shuuto was being really serious) Tani: *sarcastically* “Yes, of course. I, too, do that” Tomotsune: “Can you just…sit back for a bit.” Everyone laughs as Tomotsune tries to shut Tani up Shuuto: “It’s not your turn” wwwww Tani: “Yeah but I’m part of the nenchuu-gumi” wwww
Yuusaku: “Shuuto is extremely thorough” (he used some colloquial expression I had to look up). He gave an example where the six of them were at a photoshoot and Shuuto kept worrying about whether his shots were okay or not.
Tomotsune: “This has become a ‘Compliment Shuuto’ meeting” Tani: *sarcastically* “Ok let’s stop then”
Tomotsune asks about Shuuto’s parents. Shuuto: “If I asked my mom to pack a lunch for me, she’ll just give me a Weider In Jelly” (Weider is the company, “In Jelly” is the product. It’s an energy jelly drink) Tomotsune: *to the camera* “Hey, Shuuto’s mom, are you watching this??” Shuuto: “That’s okay, let her hear this” (lmao) Shuuto: “And the amount [of food she packed] wasn’t enough. My stomach was never full. The next day I would bring two lunches.” www
Tsubasa: “Shuuto doesn’t have any weakness. I think he’s invincible.” Tomotsune: “Shuuto, your popularity is rising.” Shuuto: “That’s a lot of pressure on me.” Tani says he should protect that likability of his.
Tomotsune asks Doi what he thinks Tani and Shuuto’s private lives are. But first he calls him Kazumi-san (Doi’s last name) and then he purposely miscalls him “Dote-san” since it’s one character off from Doi. Doi’s like “who is this ‘Kazoe’ you speak of??” (The joke is that one of the kanji’s for his last name means “ocean” but the “ka” in the Kazoe he said means “river” and Kazoe is also one syllable off from his actual last name) Shuuto: Oh snap, nice comeback!
Discussing an unexpected side of Tani:
Shuuto says whenever he goes to the theater or to practice it feels like Tani’s just relaxing at home. Tani will say “good morning” when he walks in, but he won’t do the warmup stretches. Instead, he’s somewhere brushing his teeth (lmaooooo)
Yuusaku says he feels like Tani brushes his teeth ten times a day since he always brushes them. Tomotsune: “You’re a toothbrush demon.” Tani: “Who are you calling a toothbrush demon??? It’s not like that.”
Discussing an unexpected side of Shuuto:
Tsubasa says Tani’s [weird] mannerisms rub off on Shuuto
Tumblr media
(Tani being buddy-buddy with Shuuto)
Tani says (jokingly as always) that no one should stop Shuuto from becoming more like him.
Shuuto says the two of them are different types of people. “He doesn’t have substance, I have substance. He doesn’t have goals, I have goals.” www
Tumblr media
(“Tsukista TV!!”)
For the “Everyday Life” video portion of the show, Tani and Shuuto are sitting on a couch in the cafe. They must’ve been talking about something before the camera cut in because they were laughing and Shuuto was like “Tani, calm down” and fed him his drink.
Tumblr media
(Shuuto making Tani drink)
Shuuto’s “Everyday Life” video:
Shuuto is outdoors walking along a street. In the video he says “I have a few words for Taniyan: I want you to stop making unreasonable requests. Taniyan, you’re like a second grader but you’re 29 years old. You should start acting more like an adult. Even if it’s just a little bit, let’s both become proper adults. Alright, that’s all~ *waves at the camera* ”
Shuuto says there’s a difference in their mental ages versus their actual ages and that their characters’ personalities (You and Yoru) are reversed for their actual selves. Basically, Shuuto is more like Yoru whereas Tani is more like You.
Tani’s “Everyday Life” video:
They click “play” on the video but they don’t show it on the screen yet. All you hear so far is Tani screaming “buwaaaa~” in the video but then Shuuto pauses it.
Shuuto: “Are you hanging in midair in your everyday life??” Tani: “That’s from when I was in Oita on a day off. Just keep watching the video.”
Tumblr media
(In the video, Tani is on one of those amusement park rides where you get dropped and swing in midair)
The first couple of seconds of the video is Tani on that ride, and that’s why he was screaming (lol)
The rest of the video is him talking to the camera while sitting in a moving van at night. It’s after practice, and he just talks about how he’s going home for the night and wants to eat something. “I’ll do my best for the show, and I’ll do my best for the remaining practices~ Please take care of me, Tsukista TV~”
Tani: “Wasn’t that drop scary?”
Tani then explains how that time when he’s off after practices accurately shows his everyday life.
Shuuto: “What time do you get off?” Tani: “About 3:00am” Shuuto: “That’s late!”
They move onto other topics like talking about their work and motivation
Tani: “Even though I’m reckless, I still like expressing myself through [the] words” (I think he was talking about portraying characters on stage ?)
Shuuto: “Even now, there are things in front of me, things I can’t do. At those times, I think ‘what am I supposed to do?’ I want to be able to get past stuff like that.”
Shuuto talks a lot about how he has to always have a clear goal in mind so that he always knows what he’s trying to accomplish. (Sorry this part’s so short, they talked a lot but since all of it was very motivational and abstract I couldn’t understand it too well…)
Tumblr media
(“We are… Procellarum!!)
Tsukiusa T-shirt Designs:
Tumblr media
(unveiling their designs)
Tani: I drew a moon~ (next to the moon it says “Yoru-yan” since Tani’s nickname is Taniyan)
Shuuto: I think my design is very Haduki You-like. He’s August [so he drew a sun] and also “genau” (of course lol) “I want a t-shirt that says GENAU on it”
Tani: “Let me add on to your drawing” *reaches for it*+ Shuuto: “I’m good. *pulls it away from Tani* It’s fine as it is” www
*video cuts to Tani drawing on Shuuto’s design anyway*
Tumblr media
(Shuuto’s design ft. additional work by Tani)
Tani added a face to the sun and wrote “You-yan” so that their designs match (lol)
Tani: “Yeah! Now this is a design I want.” (Tani why you do dis to Shuuto) Shuuto: “Yes, thank you….”
Tani talking about his own design: It’s simple, and I put “Yoru-yan”
They wrap up the episode by saying thank you to the viewers and stuff and then the director says “cut” to end it. The camera is still rolling after that though, but it looks like the editor left this end bit in because after the director said “cut” Shuuto turns to Tani and said “I can’t believe you actually drew on it!” and you can hear the staff laughing.
