I never understand why they would call women a ‘minority’ group

#like??? it’s 50% of the world that’s not a minority??? #like yeah I get it women are discriminated against in some cases #but don’t call it minority #anyway apart from that this is a good paper #they apologised for using a gender binary because that’s what their available data used #but their methods are also applicable to non binary data so <3 good work #anyway googling the actual percentage of women in the world is largely upsetting me so maybe don’t do that #but like there are more men than women even though in most countries women are in the majority #but in China and India for example there are more men so that goes quickly then #also some Arabic countries apparently have a 200+ men vs 100 women ratio and just thinking about why is very upsetting #anyway so there would naturally be about 105 boys be born for every 100 girls but women live longer so the difference in population you see #in the world is caused by other factors #anyway so this too an upsetting turn #i made an original post #feminism #? adjacent
