Episode: breaks the mold and stars to go surreal, flips the script, plays with the timeline, generally confusing
Excited me to me: I'm gonna love it aren't I

I saw this and it reminded me of some of your takes on aang
No notes. This is a perfect breakdown of how Katara was treated, right down to literally being a metaphor for the entire people Aang lost. I just wish she had been able to dump the little creep and have the ending she deserved with Zuko

Me: the MCs for otome games need to be more varied! Not everyone is a brown eyed brunette white girl with bangs!
Also me: *is in fact a brown eyed brunette white girl with bangs*

I don’t ship R*nance, but, man, it’s wild seeing people go “um, why would you ship that, Nancy is so mean to Robin” when they ship H@rringrove. Shouldn’t they be bored because Nancy’s not mean enough? She doesn’t even pop up when Robin’s gazing longingly at Vickie to go “huh, guess your crush is getting porked by Mr. Mullet tonight,” let alone break crockery over her head.

It's not necessarily a knock on ppl but man there's something about being in a fandom and seeing people who's lineup of favorite ships are all the most. Like. Hetbait ships? You know what I mean?
And it's like one or two you can go "yeah I get it, there's at least some canon backing to it" but when that's all they're into and it leaves you going like. Where's your imagination dude these are all so... basic. Like it's not even necessarily that they're straight ships it's that they're the most surface level things you could come up with. And some of this is dependent on the way they treat their ships ofc but still
And its not even that they come across as anti-queer (at least outwardly) its just the general feeling that the idea of something that isn't a heterosexual romance even crosses their minds. They live in a little vanilla bubble, and you're watching them floating along, wondering how they can't be so so bored

is it “I take creative liberties with my art designs of other people’s characters because they’re mythical creatures or monsters or animal hybrids or something but look I kept the roleplayers’/streamers actual in game skin AND irl physical characteristics into account because I drew them with colored hair or glasses or I made them short !! !!” or is it “i just don’t want to draw characters that aren’t thin and pale and even though their characters as well as actual bodies are not thin nor pale or blue eyed because their look as a person and their characters they’re playing in game doesn’t represent the idea of a desirable hot design of a person I have in my mind and I’m going to hide my abhorrence to certain facial and body features behind the argument that because they’re fictitious people I can mold them however I want”
“it wouldn’t be realistic to draw an _______ as the way the actual streamer looks” why not? why keep the certain features of certain people into your representations and not others? am I making sense? probably not nvm
