Mouth

Izzy generally tends to chew on her lips a lot, They are often split and cracked badly enough to bleed, and she has a hard time keeping up with the care of them unless she's going on a date or something similar. At which point she frantically wears lots of chapstick for a day or two before.

She purses her lips most of the time and they aren't exactly kissable. She generally has them a little down turned and tends to look like she is mad or upset when she is not.

His eyes widen at what she tells him; a mix of surprise - and he couldn't deny it- anger washing over him. He would spare her feelings and internalize it, but fuck! That was just stupid! Besides, the panic on her was nearly tangible; she already knew she had messed up. Right now she needed help. And someone who could be calm, non-judgmental, and understanding.

“Oh, Spoons...”He sighs, forcing himself to let it all go and focus at the task at hand. “you’re not in any trouble; it’s all gonna be okay.” He voice is soft and reassuring as he closes some of the distance between them. 

“Alright let me see...” he gestures for her to show him the cut. First of all, he was going to have to see how badly she had hurt herself before he knew what he would need to clean it and if he was going to need a kit for stitches.

Bleeding

Spoons freezes as she mentally thumbs through her options and how each scenario would play out, but she was starting to panic. Gushing truth it is, then. “My wings, I mean my scars, on my back? You know how scars itch? Well they were itching and I can reach, but it hurts, so I tried a backscratcher and that didn’t work so I tried a butter knife and it wasn’t quite enough, so I thought I’ll be reallyreallyreally careful with a steak knife and I was, but then Gene flew across the room and it scared me and I kinda, um, well, I um, it was an accident, it’s not like I was trying to hurt myself so I shouldn’t get in trouble, okay? ” She bit her lip, her mouth dry from that breathless ramble. “You can look at it. Or. You can fix it. If you want. I trust you.”
