although i support averygrayson shippers, i will never understand. in my opinion (and i might be wrong), i think averygrayson shippers are projecting when they say grayson is the better option. i mean, if we look at avery and her needs, jameson is clearly the better fit. she's lived in the same small town her entire life. having now inherited billions, she wants to take risks and explore the world. grayson doesn't want those things. he wants stability. they wouldn't work out and their personalities would clash. jamie on the other hand would give avery what she wants and needs. grayson wouldn't be able to make avery happy in the long run. just bc grayson is your favorite and would be your prefered love interest doesn't mean he's the best love interest for avery. just my opinion though, you can ship whoever you want (i would explain this in better words if i wasn’t tired but eh).

As much as i try to like Thea Calligaris...i just CAN'T. Listen, i think she is amazing gf to Rebbeca and her "bitch asthetic" is cool too but other than that she just gets on my nerves, she's always acting like Avery's friend and if something happens she'll backstab her without a thought (we know it wouldn't be the first time, since she has already hasbackstabbed her multiple time throughout the books) i get that she was trying to save her gf, but was betraying Avery and throwing her to Sheffiled Grayson really necessary in that situation? Think of it this way, if Jameson was kidnapped and they'd threaten Avery to kill him if she didn't bring them Thea...would she do the same? NO, not because Avery loves Jameson any less, but because she has brain and she is a loyal person. Thea could just tell her situation to Avery and the others, they'd sort it out and helped her. But no.

Also the way she just tries to fit in the group and blames Hawthrones for Emily's (who was't ever her real best friend) death is so irritating...i..just..i can't.

It's on you tho, if you like her good for you, i respect your opinion i just had to say this since i haven't seen many people talk about this.

Ok so I had some thoughts about the newest tgg quote

I know that we’ve mainly agreed that this is friendly banter between Lyra and Rohan, something about it just doesn’t feel right, especially the “I do not do anything badly, I am not in the habit of wanting things. I set goals. I achieve them.” Just did not feel like something Lyra would say? From the few conversations and the first tgg quote, it’s safe to assume Lyra is a laid back, playful and snarky person *please don’t try to fight me on this, this is just what I assume of her based off what little we know about her, also I’m very sensitive* but this person seems goal oriented and serious, like Grayson or savannah which is why I think people think it’s savannah

but the other line, “do you make a habit of telling women what they want?” Seems very very Lyra coded, and the line before “you want this.” Seems very Grayson, like he’s offering help to Lyra in the game and she’s hesitant to take it? Which could lead to people thinking it’s Grayson and Lyra.

but then the last line is really obviously Rohan, but the use of the word ‘love’ makes us unsure on whether it’s in a sarcastic or romantic context.

Something that kind of bothered me if you will is how people think Grayson and Avery had romantic chemistry together.

In the first book Grayson treated Avery nastily and neither trusted each other. There was tension every time they were in a scene till the end of the book. No romance.

Book 2. Okay so there was some sweet moments with the skiing, sword fighting, and then the kiss. But still I didn't feel any romance. I saw two people who used to be enemies slowing becoming friends. Avery was having to become what Grayson was raised to be. And just under a year, where Grayson had his whole life. Grayson knew the struggle and he wanted to help. Also the fact Avery thought of Jameson when she was told to picture someone while on the imaginary cliff.

Book 3. It's pretty obvious Avey and Jameson are a thing. Grayson has gone to Harvard but then returns for her birthday. It's awkward between them when Eve is around but then we have that heart wrenching scene in the chapel. When Grayson tells Avery he had never hated her and there are many things that she will never know about how he feels about her. I think it was his way of telling her that they will ever be together. She choose Jameson and Grayson knew that.

Anyways, so I still stand by that Avery and Grayson are each other's right hand person. Biggest supporters and comrades in arms. Not lovers.
