what character would you like to write with but never had the chance to?
Hi ♥ ~ There's a lot!!
I feel like if I ever came across a very close to canon Robert Plant, I'll die. Thrown in Steve Vai in there and I think I might just yeet myself out of existence.
And for extra flavor / context:
Steve Vai takes bee keeping and hot sauces very seriously, okay? This man is probably the sweetest, most tender, most loving, husband there is that I can think of. Because he and Pia are still going strong and ya boy named the new (well not so new now) Ibanez Guitar Series after her and who doesn't want someone to do that for them?
This daddy be saving bees, making hot sauce, naming guitars after his wife, parading his son so proudly as part of his band, talks every so softly, laughs every so cutely, but at the same time, rips through Bad Horsie like he didn't do create For the Love of God or Tender Surrender --- you have to stop me here before I pass out.
Tumblr media
And then there's god of a man. No words, babe. Just no words. And I'm not just on about him in his prime, he can be old and wrinkly but when he busts them pipes, I k E N n A T.
Tumblr media
I don't think I can outmatch my Duke's headcanons against my love for Plant. If Robert walks up to the Duke and slaps him right on the cheek, he'd fall willingly under his heels.

#DailyDevotion The God Of Israel Alone Is God!
Tumblr media
#DailyDevotion The God Of Israel Alone Is God! Psalm 86 5You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, full of mercy for all who call to You. 6O LORD, listen to my prayer and hear my plea for mercy. 7When I'm in trouble, I call You because You answer me. The psalmist here is telling back to God what He says His name is, i.e. His character. It is the revealed name of God in Ex. 34:6, “the LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, slow to get angry, rich in love and faithfulness, 7continuing to show mercy to thousands, forgiving wrong, rebellion, and sin, without treating it as innocent...” Based on who God says He is, the psalmist asks his prayer to be listened to and heard. It's always a good thing to base our prayers on who God says He is. Our prayers should be based on the promises of God and God's character. All based on his past experience with the LORD answering his prayers, he calls upon the LORD to answer him. 8There's no god like You, O Lord, and no accomplishment like Yours. Indeed, what other god man has ever invented has delivered a people who worshiped him as the LORD did for His people. He brought them out of Egypt with plagues. He destroyed the Egyptian army, collapsing the Red Sea on them. He spoke to them from the mountain. He time and again miraculously delivered His people. Finally, He became one of us, Jesus Christ, that in His flesh, He may pay our ransom from death and hell, He would make atonement for our sins by His blood and redeem us. No other god has ever done this. None. If anyone says there have been, they are either ignorant or liars. Maybe they're both, but most likely they are repeating the lies of others who know better. 9All the nations, whom You made, will come and worship You, O Lord, and honor Your name. Indeed since Pentecost, as the Gospel of Jesus has gone out, people of every language, tribe, race and nation have come and worshiped the LORD, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They honor His name by trusting in His promises and looking for salvation only in Christ Jesus, the Son of God. On the Last Day, even those who do not trust in Him will have to worship and honor Him as LORD, even though they do it against their will. 10Indeed, You are great and do wonders; You alone are God. 11Teach me Your way, O LORD; I want to live in Your truth; make me respect Your name with all my heart. He emphasizes again that only the LORD is God who is great and does wonders. Therefore, we ask Him to teach us His way, to live in His truth and respect His name with all our hearts. This He does when He baptizes us into His name, gives us His Holy Spirit, and brings us to His Word and Sacraments for the creation, edification and perseverance of our faith. The Holy Spirit fulfills this in us as Jesus promised in John 15, 26“When the Comforter comes, Whom I'll send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, Who proceeds from the Father, He'll tell the truth about Me.” Also in John 16 Jesus says, 13“When the Spirit of truth comes, He will lead you into the whole truth. What He will say will not come from Himself, but He'll speak what He hears and tell you what is coming. 14He will glorify Me, because He'll take from what is Mine and tell it to you.” So as we hear, read and participate in His Word and Sacraments, the Holy Spirit teaches us the way of the LORD, has us live in His truth and has us respect the name of the LORD with all our heart. Heavenly Father, You have shown that You alone are God with the Son and the Holy Spirit by Your great works through your people. Continually give us Your Holy Spirit that we may look to You alone for all good things and we may be confident You hear our prayers and answer them. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Used Midjourney to put together this Avatar fan fiction! It takes place around the same time as Avatar 2.
This overall story arc will basically be about a crisis of faith on Pandora and a dramatic conversion to Eywa. To be continued…✨
Tumblr media
Issue # 1 - My name is Mark Roberts, head of New Earth ministries. For countless generations, the Lord has guided me and my ancestors. Like the chosen people in the wilderness, my lineage has known bravery, adhering to the Lord’s will. They left persecution in Europe, coming to the New World, following his mandate in Psalm 2:8 - "Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession."
Tumblr media
My ministry has sent me to every corner of the globe, declaring the good news, because our Father commands it. ”Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" Many times I have looked across the ocean of humanity before me, seeing it as proof of the inerrancy of the good book. “…there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. Revelation 7:9-10
Tumblr media
My faith cannot be broken. Even when the Lord took Esther, my wife home, leaving me to raise our two children on my own, I knew he had a glorious plan if I would just submit to his will.
Tumblr media
He did not betray my ancestors, always there even in their darkest hour. My mother told me many stories about my grandfather being guided by the Lord, especially when he lead our family out of the wilderness of rising seas in the 2100’s, that decimated every coastal city on Earth. And since then, conditions on my world have even become more dire!
Tumblr media
There is no doubt in my mind, we are in the End Times. The Earth is dying, as disease and even sickness of the mind runs rampant.
Tumblr media
I have seen with my own eyes, the sinfulness of man and what he has wrought on this world. It has plagued my lineage ever since the Devil helped Eve tempt Adam.
Tumblr media
I know the suffering ahead is just a small price we must pay before the glory of eternity to come. That is why I can smile in the face of Satan and feel the peace which passeth all understanding.
Tumblr media
For “…every knee shall bow” and “every tongue shall confess” that this is so, when our Lord Returns at Armageddon to judge the living and the dead.
Tumblr media
This is the light of his word that forever guides us, even in dark times of endless power outages, environmental collapse, social upheaval, wars and rumors of wars. I know these things all must come to pass, as birth pangs before the Father’s new world is born.
Tumblr media
Even though I had endured the wilderness for so many years, I remained faithful every day, until the answer to my prayers came like fire from heaven!
Tumblr media
The call was from my cousin who works for the RDA. Even though he declares himself atheist, I knew the Lord had chosen him, to do his work. He obviously was undergoing a great change of heart and he even let me pray over him. He told me they needed as many brave missionaries from Earth as possible, to bring the gospel to Pandora.
Tumblr media
His company’s presentation was like nothing I’d ever dreamed possible, if I wasn’t a man of deep faith. But I can clearly see the hand of God is behind all of this, and through him the impossible is made possible. They have promised me all the resources I need to get started, from manpower, robots and security.
Tumblr media
My task is to bring the Na’vi to Christ, raising a new generation to be saved, and even become God’s tool on Pandora, to save many more souls, even perhaps coming to Earth as witness to the Godless on my own world. The father loves irony, especially if it is Na’vi that become his instrument on Earth, helping save lost human souls after I show them the way, the truth and the light.
Tumblr media
I was briefed about the tribal leader I was destined to convert; a powerful Na’vi warrior named Ftia Tireaioang.
Tumblr media
And his Tsahìk wife, Sìltsan Kaltxì,
Tumblr media
along with the next in line as Tsahìk, their daughter Tìtxur Iknimaya.
Tumblr media
And so, me and my children boarded a starship for Alpha Centauri, on a new mission for the Lord. The promise of his word assured me we were on the right path. In my namesake he says, “…unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." And in Psalms” The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." In Acts It says “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and Earth.” In Isaiah it states, "Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the Earth…” Pandora was clearly part of the “ends of the Earth.”
Tumblr media
Our six year journey to Pandora went by as if a blink of an eye. And when I first saw her, I knew our mandate was holy. There must be multitudes of Na’vi down there just as hungry for spiritual truth as were multitudes on Earth, wanting to hear the good news. And Jesus answered them, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." “For in him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

10 Signs You Might Be a Lukewarm Christian
Do you ever wonder if you are truly saved? Do you feel distant from God? Do you look, talk, act and think just like the world? This may be because you are truly not 100 percent on fire for Jesus and that you are on the fence about your walk.
The term “lukewarm Christian” derives from the idea of lukewarm water, which is no good taste-wise, is bland and is not useful in some ways. This term is referred to by Jesus in Revelation (Rev. 3) when He mentions many so-called “Christians” (Christ followers) or believers will cry out and not understand why they cannot enter into the Kingdom.
The answer is that they simply believed but did not follow Jesus. They believed enough to scrape by, but remember the demons even believe and they shudder (James 2:19). YES, it is by FAITH you are saved, not of yourself, but if you lack spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22) and evidence of your spiritual walk (not by outward performance) and a life of worship, it leads you to be a stranger to Christ. Why do some people expect to be in eternity with God when they never served Him or communed with Him? Scary thought.
Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” (Matthew 7:22)
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:16)
This idea is the same as if you answered a knock on the door of your house and someone said, “Can I come in?” If you never spoke to this person, spent time with them and they weren’t in your family or circle of friends, you would say, “No, I am sorry, I cannot let you in.” Maybe out of the kindness of your heart you would, but deep down, you would know that this person is a complete stranger.
It is the same with Jesus. When people want to come into heaven’s gates one day when they enter into eternity (outside of the flesh and outside of time), it will be TOO LATE to go back to earth and say, “I profess Jesus Christ as my LORD, my GOD, my KING.” You cannot live a double life. If you do, I ask you to repent (turn around the other way) quickly, stop acting worldly and decide who is King of your life.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. (James 2:19)
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:23)
- - - - - - - - - - -
Signs You Might Be a Lukewarm Christian
1. You never read your Bible (or Bible app, for that matter): You must read the Word to remain in the vine of the life, giving words of the Lord. Like a plant not connected to the vine if you don’t read your Bible, you will become spiritually dry and withered, and will feel isolated…this could lead to spiritual death. Refresh with the Word of God DAILY (Psalm 23—daily bread) to stay strong spiritually with the living water filling you every day (John 15). We need food and water to live, correct? Same goes for our spiritual walk with God…we need to feed it good food, which is the Word of God, the Holy Bible.
He answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
2. You are not plugged into fellowship regularly: You flow in and out of churches and don’t have your roots down deep.
3. You only read positive Christian books: Also known as “feel-good” Christian books that don’t discuss sin, hell, death and consequences of poor decisions. Devotionals and Christian books are good to read, but don’t only have this as your spiritual food. That is like eating vitamins for dinner. Christian books and devos are “supplements,” as I call them, but the Word of God (the Bible) is the main-course meal.
4. You look like the world: Your speech, attitude, lifestyle and even social media LOOK like the world. You can be in it, but not of it. There is a way to be salt and light and still be relevant. Don’t copy people to try to fit in. Only God’s opinion matters. Do you agree?
5. Your role models are celebrities: Who are you looking to for advice, dress, speech or even someone to walk behind in life? Is your role model someone who is seduced by this worldly system or is your role model a godly youth leader or mentor in your life? Evaluate this and write down people who help you draw closer to God. These people are usually rare, but pray God shows you who to walk and model yourself after. (I understand it is difficult to not want to copy celebs, but really guard your heart and mind ask yourself: “Is this someone I want to be like?” or do you want to be like a Proverbs 31 woman?)
6. You only listen to secular music: Music is powerful and influences your thoughts. It doesn’t feed your spirit and can cause you to stumble into worldly thinking and behavior. (For example: When I listen to certain music, it makes me want to go dancing at a club and or sometimes brings up the fleshly desires…if you want to be on fire for Jesus, fill your mind with worship!) You can have a balance, but it just depends…do you want to be hot or cold? An example of a good worship album is Hillsong United’s new Empires album; go to iTunes to listen to it if you need ideas for worship.
7. You don’t have a filter on your social media: You try to copy what other people are doing, constantly doubt your God-given beauty and talents, and try to lower your standards when posting pictures for attention on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Don’t worry about who’s following you, but who YOU are following. Remember, Jesus only had 12 followers!
8. You are embarrassed and ashamed to talk about Jesus or your faith: Now, if you are a new believer or are shy, I am not saying this means you are lukewarm. (None of these define you as lukewarm, but it could mean it if you fall into a lot of these categories, if that makes sense.) Also, Jesus mentions in the Bible that if you are ashamed of Him on earth, He will be ashamed of you in front of God the Father and the angels. (Yeeks! That means Jesus wants us to be BOLD or on fire about our faith!) Yes, everyone is in different seasons and everyone has their own relationship with God, but we need to remember people’s souls are at stake. This is a serious matter in sharing the Gospel. God says, “GO and make disciples”—not try to go, but gives us a command “go.” God also doesn’t say this is the great mission, but rather He will be with us in our co-mission, amen?
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28: 19-20)
9. Your beliefs contradict the Bible: You may say, “Oh, it’s okay to sleep with someone if you LOVE them…” which is the opposite of what God’s Holy Word says. Love is great, but it’s no good if it’s not under the umbrella of the protection of God. His Word is infallible, and is inerrant (the word inerrancy means “freedom from error or untruths”) and is the FINAL authority in heaven and on earth. You cannot argue with the Word of God. The Bible clearly says that fornication (sex before marriage) is not of God, and that marriage (a union between a man and a woman) is HOLY. God instituted marriage and His Word is eternal. Man can try to change God’s Word, but it won’t be altered. His Word is to help us, to protect us from disease, illness, harm, unwanted burdens and so forth.
Do you want to believe what feels good or sounds cool? Or do you want the TRUTH? With REAL love comes tough love, and truth. It isn’t easy, but truth sets you free. This is REAL love. In eternity, many people will wonder why people didn’t share the truth with them…let’s be the church, God’s bride and be REAL with people. Stop lying to people to make them feel good. This flesh is dying and the only thing that matters is their soul. Please…really love people in Jesus’ name.
God’s Word = Inerrancy. God’s Word = Truth. Truth = Gives LIFE.
…and the scripture cannot be broken… (John 10:35)
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)
10. You have religious actions, but no real relationship with Jesus: You can act like a believer and do “good” deeds to increase your self-esteem, but unless what you do GENUINELY comes from a place of REAL worship (not seen by men), then it is somewhat not WHOLE-hearted. God wants a real relationship with us, just like you want one with your best friend, parents and peers, amen? When I say you are “on fire” for Jesus or cold, I mean you are in love with Jesus and your life emulates this daily (not that you are perfect.) When I refer to being cold, it means you are anti-Christ. Do you seek the Lord with your heart or to impress people?
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23)

GAY MARRIAGE IS LEGAL BY STEVE FINNELL
According to the Supreme Court gay marriage is legal in the United States of America. The problem is being legal does not make it any less sinful. Being a homosexual is legal. Being an adulterer is legal. Having children out of wedlock is legal. Rejecting Jesus as the Son of God is legal. Being a liar is legal. Perverting the gospel by denying that water baptism is essential to the forgiveness of sins is legal.
Because men keep the laws of man is no guarantee they are free from sin.
SCRIPTURES ABOUT HOMOSEXUAL SIN
Marriage is between a man and a woman. Matthew 19:4-6 (NASB)
Homosexuality was a sin under the old covenant and is a sin under the new covenant. Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. (NASB)  1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.s (NASB)
HAS BELIEVED AND BEEN BAPTIZED! BY STEVE FINNELL
Jesus made the terms for salvation very simply. Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. (NASB)
Repentance and confession are connected to belief and water baptism. Terms of salvation: Belief-Repentance-Confession-Water Baptism.
BELIEF
Acts 2:36-37 Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him Lord and Christ--this Jesus whom you crucified." 37 Now when they heard this they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall do?"(NASB)
REPENTANCE AND BAPTISM
Acts 2:38 And Peter replied, "Each one of you must turn from sin, return to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; then you also shall receive this gift, the Holy Spirit. (The Living Bible-Paraphrased)
The 3000 converts on the Day of Pentecost believed, repented, and were immersed in water. That was the first day of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
BELIEF
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, (NASB)
BELIEF, CONFESSION AND BAPTISM
Acts 8:34-38.....37[And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."] 38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him. (NASB)
BELIEF
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish , but have eternal life. (NASB)
REPENTANCE
Acts 17:30-31 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men  that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead." (NASB)
BAPTISM
Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (NASB)
CONFESSION
Matthew 10:32-33 "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. (NASB)
BELIEF: Mark 16:16, Acts 8:34-38, John 3:16, John 6:40, John 14:6, John 8:24, Acts 16:30-31, Acts 10:43
REPENTANCE: Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47, Acts 17:30-31.
CONFESSION: Matthew 10:32, Luke 12:8, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 8:34-38
IMMERSION IN WATER: Mark 16:16, Acts 8:12, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-7, Galatians 3:27, Titus 3:5, John 3:5, Ephesians 5:25-27, Acts 2:38, 40,41,47.
It takes a master of deception, a skilled professional, and a willing student, for anyone to believe that Faith, Repentance, Confession, and Immersion in water are not essential in order to be saved.
Why Are There So Many Churches?
by David Vaughn Elliott
Why are there so many different churches? When did all the religious confusion begin? Some would say it began with Martin Luther. However, the truth of the matter is that religious confusion started in the Garden of Eden. God said, "Don't." Satan said, "Do." If you are a student of the Bible, you know that religious confusion continued unabated from the offerings of Cain and Abel to the harlot and bride of Revelation.
It is nothing unusual, therefore, to hear this prediction via Paul: "Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats" (1 Tim. 4:1-3). Two false doctrines are named. Both prohibit what God has not prohibited. The abstinence might seem to be spiritual by denying pleasures of the flesh. However, they are actually demonic prohibitions.
Discussing the issue of teachings which do not come from God, Jesus once said: "These people draw nigh unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" (Matt. 15:8-9). At the end of the Bible we read this warning: "If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book" (Rev. 22:18). One way of adding to God's Word is to prohibit what God has not prohibited. And, as Jesus said, if we teach such human (demonic) doctrines, our worship of God is in vain, empty, futile.
We can find specific fulfillment of 1 Timothy 4 in the second century among the Gnostic sects. Irenaeus (A.D. 130 to 202) said this about some Gnostics: "Many offshoots of numerous heresies have already been formed from those heretics we have described. This arises from the fact that numbers of them—indeed, we may say all—desire themselves to be teachers... they insist upon teaching something new... To give an example: Springing from Saturninus and Marcion, those who are called Encratites (self-controlled) preached against marriage, thus setting aside the original creation of God, and indirectly blaming Him who made the male and female for the propagation of the human race. Some of those reckoned among them have also introduced abstinence from animal food, thus proving themselves ungrateful to God, who formed all things" ("Against Heresies," Book I, Chap. 28).
Let's make some important distinctions. In Romans 14:2-3, Paul teaches: "For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs. Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him." This upholds a Christian who has a personal conviction against eating meat -- as long as he does not judge his brother. But, according to the Timothy text, if a person makes a doctrine of it and teaches that nobody is permitted to eat meat, that person is guilty of teaching a demonic doctrine.
The same distinction is true with regard to marriage. Paul was not married, and under certain situations he says it may be best not to marry (1 Cor. 7:26-28). However, he makes it clear that "should you marry, you have not sinned." So anyone can decide to stay single and even advise people that under certain situations it may be better to stay single. However, to prohibit marriage is demonic.
Why are there so many churches today? Because men and women teach their own doctrines (demons' doctrines) rather than God's doctrine. They prohibit what God has not prohibited and they command what God has not commanded. It all started in Eden, as Satan fought against God; and it will not end until Jesus returns and casts Satan into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:10). In this world, there has always been religious confusion and always will be. It is up to each one of us to behave as the Bereans did when we hear anybody's teaching. They were "examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so" (Acts 17:10-11). Let's do the same. That's how I see it. How about you?

Matthew series:God is with them
Tumblr media
Matthew series: Jesus revealed
Matthew 3: God is with them
Did it ever occur to you that the kingdom of God is not necessarily found in a church? Men have built great cathedrals throughout the centuries. In 70 AD. Rome sacked the Jewish temple of God. Jesus had predicted it’s fall, but the religious leaders thought that was ridicules. These first temples were large, made of stone, and usually the center of town. This model was based off of the Tent of meeting Moses built in the desert. A place for God to dwell. It is traditional for God to be found within a temple of some sort. Is that where you expect to find God?
The Jewish heritage always believed certain traditions. These were engrained into their DNA. One, was that the land was theirs. Second, was that they must rest their bones in that land for redemption day. Thirdly, they believed that the prophet Elijah would return to prepare the way of the Messiah. Jesus made reference to the fig tree and signs of the times. These symbols were important to the Messiah’s return. In the Jewish mindset, there was no doubt the day of the Lord was coming. Do you think the end of days are near? What would you look for in signs?
I was listening to an NFL show and one of the fun parts is predictions. These men sometimes made funny predictions. One fellow said that he was concerned about the state of the country and believed the Super bowl would not be played in 2017. It was funny. Maybe he was serious. They are scriptures in the Old testament that warn, predict, and point to the fulfilling of God’s covenant with the patriarchs of the Bible. God made promises to Eve, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and Moses that he would rescue them and deliver them back to a promised land. Men known in those days as Prophets spoke of a Messiah coming to establish the Godly kingdom. Matthew begins his third chapter with a declaration that the Kingdom is at hand or near.
Who is the guy named John? If you read the extra verses I gave you in this week’s study, you will see some of those prophetic verses pave the way of the Lord. This was the hope of the Jewish nation. This group of people had mostly been in captivity all their lives. They had never really owned the land promised to them. The Jewish nation was waiting. Luke has the best account of who John the Baptist is. Matthew is concerned with telling us that prophesy is being fulfilled. It was always believed that Elijah the Prophet would return. Read Malachi 3 in this way. Verse 23 says Elijah is coming back. Then read the whole chapter. It points out that the person Elijah is declaring is coming back too. When John appeared, and spoke of the coming terrible day of the Lord the people’s ears perked up. Their hearts perked up too. They believed John was Elijah.
It is by no mistake that John comes in the wilderness. The religious rulers wanted a ruler in Jerusalem. They wanted a ruler to seize back control of the holy city from the Romans. In short, they wanted the promise land back. In ancient times, the wilderness could be considered desert, mountains, or a place like a valley. These were the places spirits dwelled. A God is met on a mountain. Satan will be met in the wilderness. A spiritual journey usually involves time in the desert or what we call the wilderness. It is by no mistake that Matthew points to John and Jesus in the wilderness. God is coming.
Finally, we have the baptism of Jesus. I will get into this deeper (below) in the reading questions. Let me give you a little insight because I have been there in              Jordan. I took a tour to the baptism place of Jesus. I did not expect so many flies. I did not expect the desert. I did not expect so little water. They say that in Jesus day the Jordan river was a big river. Today it is a stream of sorts. This is literally the border between Israel and Jordan. I stood in the water with guns pointing at me from both sides. In biblical terms this area is a hotbed of spiritual activity from Sodom and Gomorrah, Moses death place, and the threshing floor of Ruth. This was and is a crazy deserted place. A place that spirits probably dwell and wars were fought.
Read Matthew 3. Here are also the extra prophetic verses I mentioned earlier. Daniel 2:44-45, Zechariah 13:4-9, 2 Kings 1:8, Psalm 92:8-15, Isa 41:14-17, Jerimiah 15:7, Psalm 1, Psalm 2:6-8
1.       As I stated above, the kingdom of God is not a church. I equally dislike saying that the church is universal. Universal means Catholic. Why I dislike universal is that the church building serves a purpose. People seek God in a church far more than in people. The kingdom though, is a message. It is all the good work a loving God is and wants to do. The kingdom has, is, and will reign. Yet, Jesus appearance here says that this kingdom has arrived on earth for the first time since Eden. The readers got that. Yet, I wonder if they expected a temple (kingdom) of God rather than a man of God.
Matthew 3:1-2 “In those days John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness of Judea, proclaiming, 2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
Psalm 9:7-8 “But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity.”
 2.       There are instances in the Bible where we hit a crossroads or a pinnacle. These verses below remind me of that. Baptism is not a Christian invention. The Jewish nation used this method to symbolize being clean. That is why there were several healing pools in and around Jerusalem. What is different is the prediction. Men baptized with water but God is the only one who could baptize with the Spirit. Equally, only God cleansed our sins by fire sacrifice. This is a pinnacle change in thought. Jesus says he takes care of the dirt and sin in our lives. Huh? Jesus will be on what is called the white throne judgment. He will judge the lives we lived by the deeds we did. Tested by fire. Only godly deeds will survive. Basically, only things under Spiritual baptism could survive the fire test. Baptism is far deeper than just an act we do.
Matthew 3:11-12 “I baptize you with water for repentance, but one who is more powerful than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
1 Corinthians 3:13 “their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work.”
 3.       I would like to step away from Jesus for a second and mention the “Threshing floor.” There are moments when a certain area or place has meaning. The Mount of Olives is where Jesus spoke. It may also be a place where Abraham almost sacrificed his son. The threshing floor is a symbolic area in many scriptures. It is also possibly a place where several events happened. This place mentioned by Matthew is by no mistake. The threshing floor symbolized separation, redemption, sacrifice and purifying. Here are some scriptures that mention this place. Numbers 18:30, Judges 6:37, Ruth 3:3, 2 Sam 24:21, Dan 2:35. This area is a spiritual hotbed.
Matthew 3:13” His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and will gather his wheat into the granary; but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”
2 Samuel 24:21 “Then Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” And David said, “To buy the threshing floor from you, in order to build an altar to the Lord, that the plague may be held back from the people.”
 4.       There is nothing like seeing the movie Jaws and then experiencing the shark at Universal studios. There is nothing like meeting Micky Mouse at Disneyland for the first time. I have stood in the area of where Jesus was Baptized. That day a dove came over a church roof in the sunlight. It was stunning to me. For thirty years Jesus waited. Why, we don’t know, but here he stood. This whole plan of leaving the heavenly kingdom, becoming a human child, and growing to thirty years old was a journey. Yes, a journey and a gutsy play by God. Why?
In this moment, the plan was set in motion. John baptizes Jesus for two reasons (and many more). One is that Jesus is becoming one of us. He is baptized into the family of man. He drinks from the same Spirit we will. Secondly, Jesus is anointed by the Spirit. This is the beginning of his ministry. It is common to be anointed, sanctioned, and sent off to do the work of the Lord. I believe that is why God affirmed him in that moment.
Matthew 3:16-17 “And when Jesus had been baptized, just as he came up from the water, suddenly the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
Genesis 8:11 “When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.”
What does it mean?
How does a person become a Christian? Maybe you don’t want a title that is religious. The other day I talked with a woman who said she believed in a higher power, but refused to name that power. It’s safe and easy to say you believe. It’s safe to give it no name. People prayed in Roman temples to the unknown God. In many ways the Jewish God is unknown. They give him names to describe him like Yahweh (Lord) or Elohim (God). He told Moses that his name is I am.
When the Israelites crossed the Jordan, they gathered stones to commemorate the journey with God. I wonder if John’s mention of raising up the stones in this chapter was reminding the people that God is with them still. Either way, these people seemed to still be chasing God. They could not see him in John the Baptist, the land, or Jesus. They want signs, wonders, and victory. Being a follower of this God is about relationship. It’s never been about titles or miracles. Many times, in this book you will hear Jesus ask why they cannot see the Father in him. Do we see the Father in you?
Do we expect a dove to come upon us in baptism? In that area a dove was symbolic of so many things. It saved them from a flood. In that area a dove was common. The Spirit might have descended upon Jesus looking like a dove. Either way, the coming of God in a life is symbolic. To be changed, cleaned, and renewed should mean something. I know many alcoholics that celebrate their sobriety day. Do you plan on celebrating the day God’s kingdom came down to you?

ONE CANNOT BE A CHRISTIAN COMMUNIST ANY MORE THAN ONE CAN BE A CHRISTIAN MOBSTER OR CHRISTIAN GANGSTER!
By William Gray, 11 November, 2020
The violence, rioting, plague, murders, stupidity in defunding the law enforcement, as well as, preventing police and other law enforcement officers from stopping crime and criminal acts in this country, have been well documented. The people promoting Marxism and Communism are generally known. Antifa and others seeking to overthrow and destroy the government of the U.S.A are also known generally. There are also people who profess to be Christians promoting Communism in churches and denominations around this country. Marxism and Communism is at its very heart atheist! One cannot be a Christian Communist any more than one can be a Christian mobster or Christian gangster! What can we do?
When Peter preached the Glorious Gospel of Christ at Pentecost, after the Holy Spirit was poured out upon those gathered, they were cut to the heart, and cried out - “men and brethren, what shall we do?” Peter did not ignore the question. He did not say “I do not know”, for Rome is against us and the Church leaders are against us.” He said, “[you] Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” We see that Peter did not advocate violence and fighting against those who had crucified Jesus. He did not say, go and vote for a particular political party. The call of Peter was to each one. You “repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of [your] sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” The same remains true today.
We see that we are not weaponless! We “do not war after the flesh.” “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2Corinthians 10:3-5)
As we take a brief look at his passage of scripture, it is my earnest hope and expectation that we will all be helped, and put these mighty weapons to holy use to the pulling down of strongholds in this nation. What are these weapons?
I. The Gospel of Christ
The first thing before we can use any of God’s mighty weapons that he has given us is, we must repent! That was Peter's call at Pentecost. That is the call of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 4:17, “...Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” John the Baptist, speaking before Christ said, “Repent ye: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2) The Apostle Paul preached to the Jews and Greeks, “Repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ”. (Acts 20:21) So the very first thing the WE must do is repent!
What is repentance? It comes from the greek words meta and noia, meaning to change one’s mindset; not merely to be sorry; not merely to be sorry one got caught; but Godly sorrow with a purpose, in Christ, not to commit that sin or sins anymore. It is ultimately a surrender of one’s will to the Lord God Almighty in and through the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the first call. To be sure, it is not repentance or anything else we do that saves us. It is God alone who saves us in and through the Lord Jesus Christ alone! We are saved, redeemed, and justified through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ! “He was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification”. (Romans 4:25) We are “justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:24) Jesus said, “verily, verily, I say unto you, he that hears My Word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24) “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Second, we must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. What does it mean to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Ultimately , it is TRUST. We must receive what He said. We must believe what He said is true, even as Abraham did. Abraham saw the day of the Lord Jesus Christ by revelation (John 8:56) and was glad. In Galatians Chapter 3, verse 8, we are instructed of the fact that God preached the Glorious Gospel of Christ to Abraham and Abrham believed God and “it was counted unto him as righteousness.” Therefore, we have to hear, receive and believe the truth of Jesus. He came to save God’s people from our sins! Finally, we trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. If one said he could walk across Niagara Falls on a tightrope, we would not be trusting him to do that unless we got on his back and let him carry us across. Therefore, it is not merely intellectual assent, it is trust. Therefore, repent from your sins and believe in The Lord Jesus Christ and tell others to do the same!
II. THE RECOGNITION OF THE WEAPONS
The great commentary of Matthew Henry says, “The doctrines of the gospel and discipline of the Church are the weapons of this warfare; and these are not carnal: outward force, therefore, is not the method of the gospel, but strong persuasions, by the power of truth and meekness of wisdom. A good argument this is against persecution for conscience’ sake: conscience is accountable to God only; and people must be persuaded to God and their duty, not driven by force of arms. And so the weapons of our warfare are mighty, or very powerful; the evidence of truth is convincing and cogent. This indeed is through God, or owing to him, because they are his institutions, and accompanied with his blessing, which makes all opposition to fall before his victorious gospel. We may here observe, [1] What opposition is made against the gospel by the powers of sin and Satan in the hearts of men. Ignorance, prejudices, beloved lusts, are Satan’s strong-holds in the souls of some; vain imaginations, carnall reasonings, and high thoughts, or proud conceits, in others, exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, that is, by these ways the devil endeavours to keep men from faith and obedience to the gospel, and secures his possession of the hearts of men, as his own house or property. *But then observe, [2] The conquest which the word of God gains. These strong-holds are pulled down by the gospel as the means, through the grace and power of God accompanying it as the principal efficient case. Note, the conversions of the soul is the conquest of Satan in that soul.” (Matthew Henry, Commentary on Second Corinthians Chapter 10 , page 635 )
Therefore, we are instructed that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, which means they are not worldly or fleshly weapons, but mighty through God. He gives them to us and expects us to use them! In the first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Church at Rome, we are instructed as to the opposition. In verses 18-23, we see the fact that the wrath of God is already revealed! It is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness and therefore, this nation above all needs to repent. The call to use the weapons of our warfare is to us who know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent! (John 17:3) When Israel disobeyed God by the family of Achan (Joshua 7) and 36 men died at the battle of Ai and Israel was chased, Joshua rent his clothes and fell to the earth and put dust on his head before God and prayed. God told Joshua to “get up”; why are you lying on your face, there is sin in the camp.
There is sin in the camp in America! We need to quit wringing our hands and “get up” and use the weapons of our warfare. Let all of God’s people repent from our failure to use the weapons that God has given to us and preach and teach the Holy Truth of God and the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are facing the ungodly, unrighteous, and liars, those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Their leader is defeated! (Matthew 12:29) Satan has been bound. He has been cast out. The Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples, “I beheld Satan fall like lightning from Heaven '' (Luke 10:18) indicating that, at the least, Satan’s kingdom had been dealt a very detrimental blow. Even more revealing is the testimony of the Son of God found in the Gospel of John. In Chapter 12 of John’s Gospel, The Lord Jesus Christ, in telling His disciples that “the hour is come that the Son of Man should be glorified, (John 12:23) testified as follows : “Now is the Judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.” (John 12:30)
Therefore, the devil, being “cast out” of Heaven and “bound” cannot prevent the spread of the Glorious Gospel of Christ. The hour is late, and we do live in perilous times, but fear not, proclaim the Gospel of Christ! Call men and women that you know to repent and believe the Gospel of Christ because the Kingdom of God is near!
Take to yourself the whole armour of God (Ephesisans 6:10-20) and get busy. “The hour is late, and the ax is already laid at the root of the trees.” (Matthew 3:10) However, “God’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither is His ear heavy or dull that He cannot hear”! (Isaiah 59:1) Get up! Get to using these mighty weapons that the Lord God has given us. Pull down the stronghold of ungodliness! Pull down the stronghold of unrighteousness! Pull down the stronghold of suppressing the Truth! (Read Exodus Chapter 20)! Tell others what you’ve read and know.
III. THE WEAPON OF ALL PRAYER
Pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watch thereunto all with all perseverance and supplication for all saints everywhere and, for all of us to make known the Glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!
CONCLUSION
God created this nation to serve Him. To be His people, even as He created Israel. We have broken all His commandments and done wickedly in His sight. We need to repent and use the weapons of our warfare which He has given us.
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Hebrews 13:20-12)

we live in these imperfect bodies, love.
just as physical earth bears a broken heart and is aging. and yet we have the promise of a new body, of rebirth carried as a sacred treasure of the heart (inside, Anew)
and to share this spiritual and eternal truth is the purest treasure of life. it is True illumination. and we need to conserve it.
Today’s reading of the Scriptures from the New Testament is the 3rd chapter in the book of John where Light is seen with pure (Clarity)
[Nicodemus]
Now there was a prominent religious leader among the Jews named Nicodemus, who was part of the sect called the Pharisees and a member of the Jewish ruling council. One night he discreetly came to Jesus and said, “Master, we know that you are a teacher from God, for no one performs the miracle signs that you do, unless God’s power is with him.”
Jesus answered, “Nicodemus, listen to this eternal truth: Before a person can perceive God’s kingdom realm, they must first experience a rebirth.”
Nicodemus said, “Rebirth? How can a gray-headed man be reborn? It’s impossible for a man to go back into the womb a second time and be reborn!”
Jesus answered, “I speak an eternal truth: Unless you are born of water and Spirit-wind, you will never enter God’s kingdom realm. For the natural realm can only give birth to things that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to supernatural life!
“You shouldn’t be amazed by my statement, ‘You must be born from above!’ For the Spirit-wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is within the hearts of those who are Spirit-born!”
Then Nicodemus replied, “But I don’t understand, what do you mean? How does this happen?”
Jesus answered, “Nicodemus, aren’t you the respected teacher in Israel, and yet you don’t understand this revelation? I speak eternal truths about things I know, things I’ve seen and experienced—and still you don’t accept what I reveal. If you’re unable to understand and believe what I’ve told you about the natural realm, what will you do when I begin to unveil the heavenly realm? No one has risen into the heavenly realm except the Son of Man who also exists in heaven.”
[God’s Love for Everyone]
“And just as Moses in the desert lifted up the brass replica of a snake on a pole for all the people to see and be healed, so the Son of Man is ready to be lifted up, so that those who truly believe in him will not perish but be given eternal life. For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
“God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it! So now there is no longer any condemnation for those who believe in him, but the unbeliever already lives under condemnation because they do not believe in the name of God’s beloved Son. And here is the basis for their judgment: The Light of God has now come into the world, but the hearts of people love their darkness more than the Light, because they want the darkness to conceal their evil. So the wicked hate the Light and try to hide from it, for their lives are fully exposed in the Light. But those who love the truth will come out into the Light and welcome its exposure, for the Light will reveal that their fruitful works were produced by God.”
[John, Friend of the Bridegroom]
Then Jesus and his disciples went out for a length of time into the Judean countryside where they baptized the people. At this time John was still baptizing people at Aenon, near Salim, where there was plenty of water. And the people kept coming for John to baptize them. (This was before John was thrown into prison.)
An argument then developed between John’s disciples and a particular Jewish man about baptism. So they went to John and asked him, “Teacher, are you aware that the One you told us about at the crossing place—he’s now baptizing everyone with larger crowds than yours. People are flocking to him! What do you think about that?”
John answered them, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless God bestows it. You heard me tell you before that I am not the Messiah, but certainly I am the messenger sent ahead of him. He is the Bridegroom, and the bride belongs to him. I am the friend of the Bridegroom who stands nearby and listens with great joy to the Bridegroom’s voice. And because of his words my joy is complete and overflows! So it’s necessary for him to increase and for me to be diminished.
“For the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks from the natural realm. But the One who comes from above is above everything and speaks of the highest realm of all! His message is about what he has seen and experienced, even though people don’t accept it. Yet those who embrace his message know in their hearts that it’s the truth.
“The One whom God has sent to represent him will speak the words of God, for God has poured out upon him the fullness of the Holy Spirit without limitation. The Father loves his Son so much that all things have been given into his hands. Those who trust in the Son possess eternal life; but those who don’t obey the Son will not see life, and God’s anger will rise up against them.”
The Book of John, Chapter 3 (The Passion Translation)
Today’s paired chapter of the Testaments is the closing chapter of the book of Joshua with chapter 24 where the people are given the personal choice of serving the True God who created the universe or turning aside to worship other gods, which is the same choice all of us must choose here & now Today:
[The Covenant at Shechem]
Joshua called together all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He called in the elders, chiefs, judges, and officers. They presented themselves before God. Then Joshua addressed all the people:
“This is what God, the God of Israel, says: A long time ago your ancestors, Terah and his sons Abraham and Nahor, lived to the east of the River Euphrates. They worshiped other gods. I took your ancestor Abraham from the far side of The River. I led him all over the land of Canaan and multiplied his descendants. I gave him Isaac. Then I gave Isaac Jacob and Esau. I let Esau have the mountains of Seir as home, but Jacob and his sons ended up in Egypt. I sent Moses and Aaron. I hit Egypt hard with plagues and then led you out of there. I brought your ancestors out of Egypt. You came to the sea, the Egyptians in hot pursuit with chariots and cavalry, to the very edge of the Red Sea!
“Then they cried out for help to God. He put a cloud between you and the Egyptians and then let the sea loose on them. It drowned them.
“You watched the whole thing with your own eyes, what I did to Egypt. And then you lived in the wilderness for a long time. I brought you to the country of the Amorites, who lived east of the Jordan, and they fought you. But I fought for you and you took their land. I destroyed them for you. Then Balak son of Zippor made his appearance. He was the king of Moab. He got ready to fight Israel by sending for Balaam son of Beor to come and curse you. But I wouldn’t listen to Balaam—he ended up blessing you over and over! I saved you from him.
“You then crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The Jericho leaders ganged up on you as well as the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites, and Jebusites, but I turned them over to you.
“I sent the Hornet ahead of you. It drove out the two Amorite kings—did your work for you. You didn’t have to do a thing, not so much as raise a finger.
“I handed you a land for which you did not work, towns you did not build. And here you are now living in them and eating from vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.
“So now: Fear God. Worship him in total commitment. Get rid of the gods your ancestors worshiped on the far side of The River (the Euphrates) and in Egypt. You, worship God.
“If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”
The people answered, “We’d never forsake God! Never! We’d never leave God to worship other gods.
“God is our God! He brought up our ancestors from Egypt and from slave conditions. He did all those great signs while we watched. He has kept his eye on us all along the roads we’ve traveled and among the nations we’ve passed through. Just for us he drove out all the nations, Amorites and all, who lived in the land.
“Count us in: We too are going to worship God. He’s our God.”
Then Joshua told the people: “You can’t do it; you’re not able to worship God. He is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He won’t put up with your fooling around and sinning. When you leave God and take up the worship of foreign gods, he’ll turn right around and come down on you hard. He’ll put an end to you—and after all the good he has done for you!”
But the people told Joshua: “No! No! We worship God!”
And so Joshua addressed the people: “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen God for yourselves—to worship him.”
And they said, “We are witnesses.”
Joshua said, “Now get rid of all the foreign gods you have with you. Say an unqualified Yes to God, the God of Israel.”
The people answered Joshua, “We will worship God. What he says, we’ll do.”
Joshua completed a Covenant for the people that day there at Shechem. He made it official, spelling it out in detail. Joshua wrote out all the directions and regulations into the Book of The Revelation of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up under the oak that was in the holy place of God.
Joshua spoke to all the people: “This stone is a witness against us. It has heard every word that God has said to us. It is a standing witness against you lest you cheat on your God.”
Then Joshua dismissed the people, each to his own place of inheritance.
After all this, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of God, died. He was 110 years old. They buried him in the land of his inheritance at Timnath Serah in the mountains of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
Israel served God through the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him, who had themselves experienced all that God had done for Israel.
Joseph’s bones, which the People of Israel had brought from Egypt, they buried in Shechem in the plot of ground that Jacob had purchased from the sons of Hamor (who was the father of Shechem). He paid a hundred silver coins for it. It belongs to the inheritance of the family of Joseph.
Eleazar son of Aaron died. They buried him at Gibeah, which had been allotted to his son Phinehas in the mountains of Ephraim.
The Book of Joshua, Chapter 24 (The Message)
my personal reading of the Scriptures for Tuesday, August 25 of 2020 with a paired chapter from each Testament along with Today’s Psalms and Proverbs
A set of insightful posts by John Parsons of Hebrew for Christians (on Facebook)
Stressing the "head" over the "heart" impoverishes us and divides us from ourselves. Our Lord prayed with such fervor that he sweat great drops of blood - and he did so *despite his perfect orthodoxy. How can God ever wipe away our tears when we have refused to cry over this world? God will indeed wipe away all our tears, but the tears must be shed...
We are to pray to God with all our heart (מכל הלב), but that must include the broken heart, too - that is, the broken parts of ourselves that must be recollected and mended before the passion of God's healing love. We "lift up our soul" to the LORD - all of ourselves - as we pour out our heart before God. Our feelings are important in prayer - the ingredient added to our petitions that quicken the heart and focus the will.... “Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God” (Hos. 14:2) means returning to the place of heartfelt faith - where the LORD is your God, and you are his beloved child.
If you forget the essence of your soul you begin to lose sight of your reason for being, the “why” that underlies all other whys... This essence, however, is not discovered by means of reason, but by revelation -- it is a divine disclosure that awakens you to newness of life. Teshuvah is a return to the arms of your Heavenly Father... [Hebrew for Christians]

A widely accepted maxim of the Talmud is: "All is in the hands of God except the fear of heaven (yirat shamayim)" (Berachot 33b; Niddah 16b). In other words, though God constantly showers the world with grace and light, He does not “force” us to revere His Presence but rather leaves that choice with us. Of course God could overwhelm us all so that we had no choice but to see and fear Him, but He “withdraws” Himself and restrains His influence in our lives so that we can exercise faith. As Blaise Pascal said, "there is enough light for those who want to believe, and enough shadows to blind those who don't." The Hebrew word for seeing (ראה) and the word for fearing (ירא) share the same root. We cannot genuinely "choose life" apart from personally seeing it, but we cannot see it apart from the reverence of God. The reverence of God sanctifies our perception and enables us to see clearly. Therefore the righteous “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7). [Hebrew for Christians]

The “Torah” of the devil, the “prince of the power of the air,” has always been to enslave people in dark places of fear, anger, bitterness, and pain. His primary weapon is deception, that is, various lies by which he captivates people and makes them tools for his evil purposes. We are able to resist the power of the lie by submitting to the truth about Reality (James 4:7). God's Name YHVH (יהוה) means "Presence" and "Love," and there is no power in heaven or earth that can overrule His hand. Therefore even if the prophesied "End of Days" were to begin this very hour, our responsibility is to focus on the Divine Presence and to walk in His truth and love. As King David said, "I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken" (Psalm 16:8).
Encourage yourself by remembering that there is a future of healing and deliverance coming to us, though we must abide in the shadow of its substance for a bit longer: "For behold, the Day is coming (הַיּוֹם בָּא), burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The Day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear my Name, the Sun of Righteousness (שֶׁמֶשׁ צְדָקָה) shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out skipping like calves released from the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD of hosts" (Mal. 4:1-3).
This awesome passage from the Book of Malachi primarily applies to the Second Coming of Yeshua and the great "Day of the LORD" (יוֹם יהוה). The "Sun of Righteousness," shemesh tzaddik (שֶׁמֶשׁ צְדָקָה), refers to Messiah son of David, the risen life-giving Healer of God. Of Him it is said, "The LORD God is a sun and a shield" (Psalm 84:11) and "the LORD shall be to thee an everlasting Light (אוֹר עוֹלָם), and thy God thy glory; thy sun shall no more go down, for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light" (Isa. 60:19-20). The Divine Light will shine on those who receive God's righteousness, that is, on those who put their trust in the One who said, 'I am the Light of the world' (John 8:12). Amen, the righteous will forever testify: “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light” (Psalm 36:9).
Despite the present hour, it is not all darkness... Seek for the Light and you will find it. [Hebrew for Christians]

Topic: The great tribulation
By. Calvin Nii Bannerman
💥
When Jesus said GREAT TRIBULATION that hasn't happened think about the covid 19, Jesus said unless those days be shortened, no flesh will be saved (Mathew 24:22)
TOPIC :THE GREAT TRIBULATION
Date 10th, July 2020
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, You are Almighty, All powerful, All Knowing, Omnipotent, Omnipresence, we give you the adoration and honor. You're worthy to receive Glory, Honor and Power , You created all things and for Your pleasure they're were created, Your word says where 2 or 3 are gathered in the name of Jesus You are with us, let my words and preaching not be enticing words of man's wisdom but by the Spirit, Holy Spirit bring us to all knowledge in Jesus name. Amen
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Last century we had 2 world wars , in 1918 we had a plague that killed over 15 million people and now we have covid 19 that has killed over 2 million people and counting, so you have to look at the scoop of history , the bombing of Dresden, the holocaust, etc, there have been horrific things but Jesus said No that's nothing compared to the GREAT TRIBULATION.
Now what does GREAT TRIBULATION means?
It basically means real hardship, affliction . There are 4 different TRIBULATION in Mathew 24
1.TRIBULATION for Israel
2. TRIBULATION of the Church
3. Global or final TRIBULATION
4 Individual TRIBULATION
When Jesus said there won't be one stone Matthew 24:2, 15 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. Jesus was talking about Israel, this will be the first TRIBULATION.
Matthew 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Jesus was talking about this generation, how do we know generation was 40yrs? The generation that came out of Egypt had faith, He said that generation will die in the wilderness and they wondered 40yrs.
David reigned for a generation, he reigned for 40yrs , Solomon reigned 40yrs, king Saul reigned 40yrs , Moses' life is divided in 3 generations, 40yrs in Egypt 40yrs in the wilderness and 40yrs leading people into the boarders of the Promised Land , 40 was a biblical number for establishing a generation .
Jesus made this prophecy in 30AD what will be 40yrs later something interesting happened in 70AD, the Romans destroyed the temple, in the first TRIBULATION when the Jews rebelled against the Romans, Titus the ruler at that time frustrated the Jews, the city was burned and the temple was destroyed you can read about in (History of the Jews) it was awful.
Luke 21:20-22 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Jesus was talking about the TRIBULATION that came on Israel and the Jews during that time , the second TRIBULATION that came to the Church.
Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake, this prophecy was talking to all Nations.
Revelation 11 talks about a specific time of TRIBULATION, where it talks about the two witnesses, the Word of God.
Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
What is forty and two months? The Jewish month has 30 days, forty two months is 1268 days, now go to the next verse.
Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Some theologians say the 2 witnesses are Moses and Elijah.
Revelation 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. The woman, the church, the child Jesus.
Revelation 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
There was 2 types of TRIBULATION, the natural Israel and the Spiritual Israel (the church )
Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Now these are the TRIBULATION that is supposed to come.
Matthew 24:11-13 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
What is the GREAT TRIBULATION in the last days? It's the 7 last plagues, when you read Revelation 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Now let's go to Daniel.
Daniel 12:1-2 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be
found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
There will be a time before Jesus comes the lost can't be saved, life will go on for everybody , God's mercy endureth forever but when Jesus said it will be like in Noahs days , when Noah and his family and all the animals were in the boat, Noah made a final appeal, an altar call and nobody came and the door was shut,it didn't start raining immediately, 7 days went by and their probation was closed , they went on with their normal business until it started raining.
When a country says they will not allow you to trade on international market, it's called economic sanctions , Republic of Iran is an example, that is the weapon they will use to manipulate the church, now online marketing is another tool they will use to control buying and selling as we move away from a cashless society, when you see the abomination of desolation flee, when the Christian Jews in Israel saw the Pagan Rome surrounding Jerusalem , they runned into the wilderness because that was the signal for the Christians and no one amongst them died.
There will be a time when a law will be made,Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. This is going to create trouble , later in the chapter it says those who don't worship the beast should be killed, first you can't buy or sell, this is not on an individual bases , the book of Revelation is dealing with a global problem.
In the Last days when you see the abomination of desolation stand in the holy place , there's going to be a New World Order that will tell us how to worship God and if you don't cooperate you can't buy or sell , some will say how is that going to happen? Some will sacrifice their security , if there continue to be problems and plagues, they will bring a universal vaccine that will cure the plague , the people will put pressure on the government to get the vaccine for their healing.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Let us pray, Father we thank you for your word, Holy Spirit convict us of all our sins and Father forgive us of our sins in Jesus name.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
The greatest gift is Jesus, turn to Him and have everlasting life
Peace, Shalom

“ I privy you, monster. Be it not for my faith..                                                     I have no doubt I would not believe in you. “
such human moments should not be shared with a monster, nor any who would so willingly stray from god’s light -- but what was the father but human? imperfect, impure; capable of weakness, prone to it -- oh, was he prone to it. there was a time immemorial when the paladin felt more than he was, a true monster of god set to rid the world of the heathen, the heretic and above all the inhuman. the holy knight of the vatican, brought up from humble beginnings and saved from his sin by the church and the light of god, an irrefutable soldier of the lord.
but time began to weigh on his shoulders, as it did every mortal man, and the past began to drift away. his faith was all that remained of him, and when even his piety came into question, anderson grew weak. not physically; physically, he remained stalwart as ever, courtesy of modern technology and the vast treasure vaults of the vatican, but weak of heart and weak of mind, a weakness no amount of money could fix.
“ At least, not as Alucard, the monster born of the heart of a wicked man. Nay, were not for for my unquestionable trust in the plan our almighty God, I’d think you of my own creation. A demon, perhaps, sinking his hooks into the mind of a tired man, should ye find him falter -- heh, perhaps then you would be born of the heart of a wicked man, aye? “
the tone the judas priest took made an uncomfortable lull in the air, a sharp change in atmosphere from their usual encounters. anderson’s body was pierced with several of his own baptized bayonets, courtesy of the no-life king and another in a series of battles they seemed fated to fight. the silence is punctuated as the paladin begins to remove one of the blades from his body, pulling the metal through straight and with ease, despite being lodged in the wall behind him.        “ Were not that I was righteous, “       he gives tow to yet another bayonet, holding each bloodied instrument betwixt his fingers as the technology of the pious seals his wounds.        “ I would believe this to be my hell, plagued by a foe I could not quell but one that I must. O, were not that I served God with everything that I am, you would have me believe that I was nary a man of his church, a true priest -- but just a pawn to struggle in vain against an immortal foe whom spites him. “
the titan iscariot stands tall as ever, but behind his words there is doubt. surely it was clear to the no-life king that this was not a confident declaration from his foe, but a pious mantra, a prayer; though he spoke aloud, it wasn’t alucard he hoped would heed his words.
“ But my God has made my path known. ‘Tis you I shall fell, abomination. ‘Tis the heathen, the heretic, and the inhuman shall I flay, till nary a shadow remains in defiance of God’s light. That is my purpose, and I ask of you, ye wicked souls of snakes; when comes your end, will you know yours? “

A Prayer Against Depression  Anxiety and Panic Attacks ( the spirit heaviness )
Father In Jesus Name Lord Thank You For Dying On The Cross For Me. Please Forgive Me of My Sins.
I Forgive Every One Who Has Hurt Me and Have Done Me Wrong.
Isaiah 61:1 States that "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
I Pray For The Spirit of The Lord God To Rise Up Inside of Me. Lord Please Bind Up My Broken Heart. Give Me Liberty and Set Me Free.
Isaiah 61:2 Says "To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;" God, Let This Be The Year of Your Revenge Against the enemy And Comfort Me and All Who Mourn.
Isaiah 61:3 "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."
God Give Me Your Spirit of Beauty And Replace The Ashes Of My Broken Heart. Take Away The Mourning And Give Me Your Spirit Of The Oil Of Joy. Lord, Remove the spirit of heaviness And Give Me Your Spirit Of The Garment Of Praise. Make Me A Tree Of Righteousness That Is Planted By You So That You May Be Glorified.
Isaiah 61:4 Says "And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations."
God, Make Me A Brand New Person. Repair Me. Fix Me. Disolve And Break Every Generational Curse That Plagues Me And My Family.
In Jesus Name.
Isaiah 61:5 States "And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers."
Lord I Pray That You Make My Enemies Subject To Me. Confuse, Divide, And Destroy Them.  Send Them All Far Beneath My Feet Permanently.
I Give You All Of The Honor, Praise And Glory Forever. Amen

Are Children Born With Sin?by Moisés Pinedo
Have you ever seen the face of a newborn child, touched the soft skin of his rose-colored cheeks, and sensed his innocence when looking into his beautiful eyes? In stark contrast, Catholic teaching alleges that “small infants are sinful!” The Catechism of the Catholic Churchdeclares:
Born with a fallen human nature and tainted by original sin, children also have need of the new birth in Baptism to be freed from the power of darkness and brought into the realm of the freedom of the children of God, to which all men are called (1994, 1250, emp. added).
The Bible teaches that children do not bear the sin of their parents (Exodus 32:32-33; Deuteronomy 24:16; 2 Kings 14:6; 2 Chronicles 25:4; Jeremiah 31:30; Ezekiel 18:20). However, Catholics are quick to point out that David declared: “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,and in sin my mother conceived me” (Psalm 51:5). To understand this passage, we must keep in mind that the subject of Psalm 51 is David’s sin, not original sin. Consider the nouns and possessives David used to indicate that the sin which he was talking about was the sin he committed: “Blot out my transgression” (vs. 1); “Wash me thoroughly from myiniquity, and cleanse me from my sin” (vs. 2); “I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me” (vs. 3); “Against You, You only, have I sinned” (vs. 4); etc. There is not even the slightest allusion to some kind of original sin in the psalmist’s supplication. In fact, it was from his own sin and transgression that the psalmist desired to be freed.But, why did he refer to the moment in which he was formed in the womb of his mother? The psalmist could have been using hyperbole (cf. Psalm 58:3;
Colley
, 2004), or emphasizing the condition in which his mother conceived him. In the latter case, although he was born without sin, he was born into a world that was covered, plagued, and influenced by sin.Consider also that the psalmist made these pleas for forgiveness as an adult. He used present-tense verbs to plead for forgiveness: “Have mercy upon me...blot out my transgressions” (vs. 1); “Wash me thoroughly...cleanse me from my sin (vs. 2); “Iacknowledge my transgressions” (vs. 3); “Purge me with hyssop...wash me” (vs. 7); “Makeme hear joy and gladness” (vs. 8); “Hide Your face from my sins...blot out all my iniquities” (vs. 9); “Create in me a clean heart...renew a steadfast spirit within me” (vs. 10).David’s pleas for forgiveness were due to a sin (or sins) that he committed long after his birth. The psalmist himself made this fact clear in a parallel passage, where he prayed: “Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions” (Psalm 25:7, emp. added). If Psalm 51 is a plea to be freed from original sin, how do Catholics explain that God anointed, blessed, and used David while he bore the sin of the first man?Additionally, the psalmist declared that he was “shapen” and “conceived” in iniquity (51:5,KJV). This is not a reference to birth (as Catholicism claims), but to conception. To be consistent with the Catholic idea that Psalm 51 supports the dogma of original sin, we must conclude that original sin is transmitted at the moment of conception. If that is the case, the Catholic Church will have to rework its theology concerning baptism to include a way to “baptize” children before birth to save them from “the power of darkness” (Cathecism..., 1994, 1250).To arrive at a correct interpretation of Psalm 51, we also must consider other biblical passages where similar expressions are used. For example, Isaiah declared: “The Lord has called me from the womb; from the matrix of my mother He has made mention of my name” (49:1). In Jeremiah 1:5, God told His prophet: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you.” If by the expression, “I was brought forth in iniquity” (Psalm 51:5), David alluded to the original sin he bore, how do Catholics explain Isaiah and Jeremiah’s declarations of sanctity from the womb? Were these two prophets born without the contamination of original sin? According to Catholicism, only Jesus and Mary were born in a completely holy condition. These passages cannot be reconciled with the Catholic dogma of original sin (see
Colley
, 2004).But, what about Romans 5:12, where the apostle Paul wrote that “through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned”? Does this verse teach that we bear Adam’s sin? No. As we observed in another article (cf.
Pinedo
, 2009), this verse teaches that death—the consequence of sin—spread to all men, not because Adam sinned, but “because all sinned” (5:12; cf. Romans 3:23). Of course, this “all” cannot refer only to Adam. Nothing in the Bible teaches, indicates, or implies that children are born with sin.Paul indicated that where there is no law, there is no sin (Romans 3:20; cf. John 15:22). And the apostle John declared that “sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4). If infants cannot know the Law of God or understand it, they cannot commit lawlessness.Jesus Himself said: “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14, emp. added). Paul declared that none who are unclean can enter into the kingdom of heaven (Ephesians 5:5). Jesus added: “[U]nless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3, emp. added). If children come to the world with a “fallen human nature and tainted by original sin” (to use the words of the Catechism), why would men have to become as little children, who are also “contaminated” with sin? The Bible is clear: sin is not inherited. No baby has ever been born bearing the guilt of Adam’s sin. No one bears the responsibility for Adam’s sin but Adam himself.

IT MUST BE FALSE BY STEVE FINNELL
If the majority disbelieves it, then it must be false. There are over 7 billion people in the world and only 2.2 billion believe that Jesus is the Son of God, does it mean it is false to say Jesus is the Son of God? No, it does not. Why would anyone place their belief on majority opinion?
Of the 2.2 billion who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior the majority do not believe in the New Testament terms for pardon, does that make God's terms for pardon untrue? No, it does not.
Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. (NASB)
The majority of believers in Christ do not believe what Jesus said in Mark 16:16, does that make it false doctrine?
Example: Many say you do not have to be baptized in water to be saved.
Example: Many say you can be saved and have your sins forgiven before you believe; because as an unbelieving infant you were baptized for the forgiveness of your sins and added to the body of Christ.
All non-believers and most believers in Christ deny God's terms for pardon.
1. Faith, John 3:16
2. Repentance, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Luke 24:47
3. Confession, Romans 10:9, Acts 8:36-37
4. Immersion in water, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Colossians 2:11-13, Galatians 3:27, Romans 6:3-7, 1 Peter 3:20-21, John 3:5, Ephesians 5:25-27, Titus 3:5
DOES DENYING GOD'S TERMS FOR PARDON MAKE THEM FALSE DOCTRINE?

THE ABSURDITY OF ORIGINAL SIN BY STEVE FINNELL
Original Sin: a depravity, or tendency to evil, held to be innate in humankind and transmitted from Adam to all humans in consequence of his sin. [Ref:Dictionary .com]
The doctrine of original sin is that all men inherited the guilt of Adam's sin and are sinners at birth.
It gives absurdity a bad name to suggest that all men are born with a sinful spiritual DNA, of which they inherited from Adam and are therefore guilty of sin at birth.
If men are born sinners, then they are born as fornicators, sodomites, drunkards, thieves, homosexuals, extortioners, murders, sorcerers, pedophiles and idolaters. Would God create men guilty of these sins, due to no fault of their own, and then condemn them to hell? It is not only irrational, but contrary to Scripture.
Men are guilty of sin because they sin. They are not guilty of sin because of Adam's sin.
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the word, and death spread to all men, because all sinned---(NKJV)
Spiritual death spread to all men, BECAUSE ALL SINNED.
Physical death spread to all men because Adam sinned.
No one is guilty of sin until they commit sin.
The unborn and small children are not capable of committing sin.
The doctrine of original sin is absurd, nonsensical, irrational, illogical, and most importantly contrary to the doctrine of God.

ORIGINAL CHRISTIANITY?  BY STEVE FINNELL
Are the Christians today the same as the first century Christians? Do contemporary Christians believe the New Testament, as it was
originally written or do they believe it is a living, breathing document? All Scripture contain in the Bible was completed by AD 100 .
Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. (NKJV) (NOTE: Jude was written in AD 65 )
The common salvation was handed down to all the Christians. There was not a new faith handed down nor was the faith amended to fit the will of individual  churches.
Acts 2:42 They continually devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching...(NKJV)
They did not devote themselves the teaching of the scribes, the Pharisees nor the Judaizers.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (NKJV)
The apostles doctrine was all Scripture. That was all that was needed for teaching. The original Christians not need the doctrine of the Roman Catholic catechism, the writings of John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Knox, Charles Spurgeon, nor John Wesley in order to know and practice God's truth, that was presented by the apostles.
Acts 20:27 For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God. (NKJV)
The apostle Paul knew the whole purpose of God, he did not have to consult with Billy Graham, the Pope, Rick Warren, Max Lucado, nor John Piper.[NOTE:  None of those even understand the correct terms of pardon.]
-----------------------------------------------------
Revelation after the first 100 years of, original Christianity, is not found in the Bible; because everything Christians need for faith and practice in found in the 66 books of the Bible.
Proverbs 30:6 Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar. (NKJV)
DOCTRINES ADDED TO GOD'S WORD
1. Water baptism is not essential for salvation.
2. Water baptism is for a testimony of faith, not in order to the forgiveness of sins.
3. Men are saved by grace alone. God causes men whom He has selected for salvation to have faith so they will be saved.
4. Sprinkling and pouring are just other modes of baptism.
5. Men are saved by faith alone. Immersion in water is a work, therefore is not required in order to be saved.
6. All men are sinners at conception because Adam and Eve sinned.  Non-believing infants can have the sin of Adam as well as all future sins wash away by being baptized. In other words sin can be forgiven without faith in Jesus Christ.
7. Jesus is one of many ways to enter heaven.
8. Men can live a unrepentant sinful lifestyle and still enter the kingdom of God.
9. God approves of many denominations, even though they teach different terms of pardon.
10. Denominations have the right to man-made doctrines even if they are contrary to Scripture, because God will not judge sincere people.

Speaking In Tongues
GEORGE L. FAULL
Dear Brother Faull,It is my understanding that you do not practice "Speaking in tongues." Why?Let me give you the reasons why I do not wish to "speak in tongues."
1. I could not defend it as having practical value.
It does not prove that I am saved, nor that I'm spiritual, nor that I have the truth, for men of every creed claim this gift.
2. I could not defend it as an aid to devotions.
It does not do anything the Holy Spirit does not do for every believer. He searches out our unspeakable requests and make intercession for us.
Romans 8:26-27,
"26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God."
3. I could not defend it as a sign for unbelievers.
If I do it publicly, men of all conflicting doctrines do the same. If I do it in my prayer closet, how will the unbeliever know of it?
4. I could not defend its "continual existence" from the Word of God.
The Scriptures neither imply nor promise the continuance of the gift, but, in fact, states that they will cease while faith, and hope yet abide.
I Corinthians 13:8-13,
"8 Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I under-stood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity."
5. I could not defend its "continual existence" from Church History.
History records that the gifts did cease. History records when and how the gift was supposedly revived. History records the deceitfulness of the modern day movement to increase the supposed gift among churches.
6. I could not defend its "continual existence" by commonsense.
Since prophecy and divine knowledge have ceased, [I neither know, nor know of anyone with these gifts] commonsense assumes that the lesser gift has ceased.
7. I could not defend its "continual existence" by the clichés of modern tongue speakers.
Clichés such as:
"God is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
"God does not change."
"He could do it, therefore, He does do it."
"He once did it, and therefore, He is doing it."
Doesn't our God ever do anything singular or unique? Is He still making women out of man's ribs? Have you seen any world wide floods lately? Are there still virgins having babies?
8. I could not defend it as "unifying the Body of Christ."
It is setting believer against believer. The only unity it promotes is unity of men of a thousand different conflicting doctrines agreeing to disagree. It may well be
Romans 8:26-27,
"26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God."
9. I could not defend it in light of those who have "spoken in tongues," who now admit that it was not of God.
We are told that we cannot deny a man's experience. Can a man deny his own interpretation of his experience? He once thought that it was of God. He now concludes that it was not. Hundreds, who have spoken in tongues, now deny that the experience was of God. How can I defend that my experience was of God when others with the same experience admit that theirs was not of God?
10. I could not defend it "as a promise from God."
He did not promise it to me, therefore I cannot accept it by faith. I can accept salvation, forgiveness, and redemption by faith. These were promised to all believers. I believe the promises. I "enjoy" them because I believe the promises. I cannot accept tongues by faith because they were not promised to every believer.
I Corinthians 12:30,
"Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?"Therefore, my "feelings" about tongues may be imaginary rather than real.
11. I would not want to be a possessor of a gift that I had to hide.
Imagine having a gift for which you could not thank God publicly. If it is known that you possess tongues, YOU:
Cause division among your brethren.
Are suspected of false doctrine by those whom you know are Christian.
Lose opportunities for service with your real talents and abilities. I wouldn't want a billion dollars if it did those things to my witness.
12. I would not want to be a possessor of a gift which I could not know was genuine.
Who would want a diamond or a ruby if it could not be proven to be such? it would have no real value. It would cause only bickering, arguments, and debates. Since there is no way to tell the apostate's "tongue speaking" from mine, why should I want it?
13. There are more desirable gifts mentioned which would edify the Church.
If it is an aid to devotions, I would get the benefit. [Incidentally, Paul didn't say it was.] But if I could prophesy or heal, I would be able to help others. I would enjoy being the steward of such abilities as these, but I would find "tongue speaking" in private or public a difficult stewardship with no real value.
Conclusion:
Tongue speaking is therefore undesirable because it is unneeded, unhelpful, undefendable, and uncertain.Posted by

ARE WE ALL GOD'S CHILDREN? BY STEVE FINNELL
Are Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, atheists, and all other men, God's children? No, they are not. They are all created by God, but they are not all God's children. God loves them all, but they are not all God's children.
Who are God's children? Christians are God's children.
Galatians 3:26-27 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (KJV)
Men become children of God by faith in Christ Jesus and being baptized into Him.
John 11-12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name;(KJV)
The Jews who rejected Jesus as the Christ were not God's children. Those who believe in Jesus have the opportunity to become God's children.
GOD LOVES ALL MEN, HOWEVER, SALVATION IS CONDITIONAL.
Terms to become the children of God.
A. Faith: John 3:16
B. Repentance: Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19
C. Confession: Romans 10:9
C. Immersion in water: Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21.
All men have the opportunity to become God's children. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you all one in Christ Jesus.(KJV)
ALL MEN ARE NOT GOD'S CHILDREN, HOWEVER, THEY ALL CAN BE.

THE DOCTRINE OF FREE-WILL   BY STEVE FINNELL
The teaching that men do not have free-will evolved from the false doctrine that men are saved by grace alone. There is not one place in the Bible that has grace and alone in the same sentence. If in fact men are saved by grace alone and have no free-will, there are many things that would be true.
If men have no free-will, then God would have to force men to have faith so they could be saved.
If men have no free-will, then God would have to force men to repent.
If men have no free-will, then God would have to force men to confess Jesus as the Christ.
If men have no free-will, then God would have to force men to be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins.
If men have no free-will, then God would be responsible for all of the sins of mankind.
If men have no free-will, why did the men on the Day of Pentecost ask "Brethren, what shall we do?" (Acts 2:37)
If men have no free-will, then why did the jailer ask Paul and Silas, "What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30)
If men have no free-will, then why did Saul ask, "What shall I do Lord?" (Acts 22:10)
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appear has appeared to all men.
God's grace is available to all men. Grace is not forced nor is it denied to any man. MEN HAVE FREE-WILL!

BIBLE TRANSLATIONS   BY STEVE FINNELL
The thought process of some Christians is puzzling to say the least. Why do some believers in Christ question that God has the power to guide men to translate   Bibles that are inerrant, trustworthy, accurate, faultless, reliable, infallible.
Some of the same Christians who believe the following miracles of the Bible, doubt that God can produce an inerrant translation of the Bible.
They believe that Aaron's staff became a serpent. (Exodus 7:10-12) However they do not believe that translations of the Bible are trustworthy.
They believe Jesus was resurrected from the dead. (John 21:14) However they do not agree that Bible translations are inerrant.
They believe that the dead man Elisha stood up on his feet. (2 Kings 13:20-21) However they doubt that Bible translations are infallible.
They believe Jesus brought Lazarus  back from the dead. (John 11:37-44) However they do not affirm that Bible translations are reliable.
They believe that God turned Lot's wife into a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26) However they are not convinced that God has given us a translation of the Bible that is accurate.
Even those who state that the King James translation is the only accurate translation, believe that Mark 16:16 does mean what is says: They say "Has been baptized shall be saved" actually means, "Has already been saved before they were baptized." The assert that Acts 2:38 actually means "Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ because your sins have already been forgiven." They really do not trust the KJV either.
Ninety-nine percent of the Bible translations are accurate, trustworthy, inerrant translations of God's word.
A few of my favorites are New American Standard Bible, King James Version, New King James Version, English Standard Version, and New International Version. There are also many other reliable translations.

GOD'S WORD VERSUS BAPTIST DOCTRINE BY STEVE FINNELL
If Baptist doctrine contradicts the word of God, which one is correct?
Baptist Doctrine: Perseverance of the saints, AKA as once saved always saved.
God's Word: Galatians 5:1-4.... You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified  by law; you have fallen from grace. (NKJV)
God's Word: Hebrews 6:4-6 4 For it is impossible......6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance.....(NKJV)
God's Word: Hebrews 3:12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; (NKJV)
God's Word: 1 Timothy 4:1...some will depart from the faith...(NKJV)
Christians can become lost.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Baptist Doctrine: Water baptism is not essential for the forgiveness of sins and is not essential in order to be saved.
God's Word: Acts 2:38 ....and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.....(NKJV)
God's Word: Mark 16:16 ....and is baptized will be saved...(NKJV)
God's Word: 1 Peter 3:21 There is an antitype which now saves us, namely baptism...(NKJV)
God's Word: Acts 22:16...Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins...(NKJV)
God's Word: Colossians 2:12 -13 buried with Him in baptism...13...having forgiven you all trespasses,(NKJV)
God's Word: Ephesians 5:25-27 ....Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it 26 that He might sanctify and wash it with the washing of water by the word,(NKJV)
God's Word: Romans 6:4-7 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death.......7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.(NKJV)
God's Word: John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.(NKJV)
Being immersed in water is an essential part of the gospel plan of salvation.
Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. (NKJV)
The apostles did not preach Baptist doctrine, they preached the word of God.
Denominations were not formed so they could preach the apostles' doctrine. Denominations were formed so they could change the apostles' doctrine. If all denominations preached only God's word, there would be just one church, the church of Jesus Christ.

QUESTIONS AND OBSERVATIONS ABOUT SABBATH KEEPING BY STEVE FINNELL
Why do believers in Christ who claim to be sabbath keepers fail to keep the laws of the sabbath? Christians were never instructed to remember the sabbath and keep it holy.
The command to remember the sabbath and keep it holy was given to Israel and Israel alone. It was not restated under the New Covenant.
Deuteronomy 5:1-15 Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: "Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and observe them carefully.......12 'Observe the sabbath day to keep it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you......
New Testament instructions concerning Old Covenant sabbath keeping.
Romans 14:5-6 One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully  convinced in h
is own mind. 6 He who observes the day , observes it for the Lord.....
Colossians 2:14-16....Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a  festival  or a new moon or a Sabbath day---
Christians are free to worship any day they wish, be it Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc. Christians are free to work any day they wish. There is no New testament command to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
SO-CALLED MODERN DAY SABBATH KEEPERS DO NOT KEEP THE SABBATH NOR DO THEY PUNISH THEIR MEMBERS WHO BREAK IT.
Exodus 31:15 For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord, whoever does work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.
Numbers 15:32-36 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day........35 Then the Lord said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp." .......
THERE ARE ONLY FALSE SABBATH KEEPERS TODAY.
REMEMBER THE SABBATH AND KEEP IT HOLY IS NOT A CHRISTIAN LAW.

INSIGHT INTO BIBLE TRUTH #253
DID JESUS CONDEMN HOMOSEXUALITY?
by David Vaughn Elliott
No, He did not. Nor did He condone it. It is a topic He never discussed. What are we to conclude from this silence?
This is not the only issue that Jesus did not discuss. For example, we never hear Him condemning idolatry. Jesus was born into the world as a Jew, an Israelite. He "was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matt. 15:24). Before Jesus, Israel had a long history of idolatry. It is commonly believed that the captivity cured the Jews of this sin. That offers a reason why Jesus did not need to condemn the Jews on the issue. This could also be a clue regarding Jesus' silence about homosexuality. But let's go further.
To say that Jesus never condemned this or that, keep in mind that such statements are based on the record we have in the four Gospels. Is there any record of Jesus discussing sorcery or witchcraft? What of drinking blood? What about drunkenness?
And then there is the issue of breaking the Sabbath. During Israel's long history, Sabbath breaking was a frequent issue, even after their return from captivity. Jesus lived under the OT law, so Sabbath keeping was still in force. Luke 4:16 tells us that Jesus "came to Nazareth... and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath." Although Jesus kept the Sabbath, He was frequently accused of breaking it. On the other hand, there is no record of Jesus accusing others of breaking the Sabbath. In short, there are various sins that Jesus "never condemned."
The Gospels Are Neither Complete Nor Final
We have four Gospels, four biographical accounts of Jesus' life on earth. Some would say that the four should not even be called biographies because they cover so little of Jesus' life. True enough. The fourth Gospel ends with these picturesque words: "There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written." This does not mean that we do not have enough written. John himself said a little earlier, "Many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name" (John 20:30-31). We don't have it all, but we have enough to believe in Him so we can have life.
Only some of what Jesus "did" is recorded. What about what He taught? Well, teaching is doing, so we don't have all He taught either. Here is a specific example. "They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. And they were amazed at His teaching" (Mark 1:21-22).  Nothing is said about what He taught on that occasion.
In short, everything that Jesus did, taught, and said is not recorded. Therefore it is impossible for us to say that Jesus never condemned so-and-so. As in all of life, negative statements are often impossible to prove. We can only say that there is no record of Jesus saying so-and-so.
But there is more to this.
In court, we are told to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. In Jesus' ministry as recorded in the four Gospels, Jesus did "tell the truth." He did tell "nothing but the truth." However, He did not – repeat "not" – tell "the whole truth." Wow, what an assertion to make! But it is true. Jesus himself said so. On the night of his betrayal, Jesus said to the eleven (Judas had already left):
"I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth" (John 16:12-13).
There it is in black and white (maybe red in your Bible). While Jesus was on earth, He did not say everything that needed to be said. Rather, through the Holy Spirit, Jesus' apostles would be guided into "all the truth." Anyone who wants all the truth must look further than Jesus’ words during his earthly ministry – must read more than the four Gospels.
The four Gospels make up roughly half of our New Testament. According to Jesus' own word, we dare not ignore the second half. Much of the second half was written by the Apostle Paul. Why is it that some people pit what Jesus did not say against what Paul did say? Could it be that those people are really pitting their own preconceived ideas against what the inspired Apostle Paul taught? There are various proofs that Paul was made an apostle by Jesus after Jesus' ascension. Did you ever notice what the Apostle Peter had to say about Paul's writings? "Our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction" (2 Pet. 3:15-16). If we distort what Paul wrote, we are heading for destruction.
There is no Scriptural basis to justify anything on the basis of what Jesus did not say. Negatives such as "Jesus never condemned..." can never be proven. Furthermore, even if He didn't, the four Gospels are only a portion of God's divine revelation. They are an extremely important portion, but only a portion. We cannot treat the NT as a smorgasbord from which to select the portions we prefer. We must take it all. "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work" (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

WHICH CHURCH?  BY STEVE FINNELL
Which church was established to teach the apostles doctrine. Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine..(NKJV)
Which church was established to teach the apostles' doctrine?
Was the Community Church established to preach the apostles' doctrine or the Community Church doctrine?
Was the Roman Catholic Church formed in order to teach the apostles' doctrine or to teach the Catholic catechism?
Was the Methodist Church founded in order to teach the apostles' doctrine or to proclaim Methodism?
Was the Baptist Church established to evangelize using the apostles doctrine or to preach Baptist doctrine?
If churches really wanted to preach the apostles' doctrine would they not use the identity of the church found in Scripture. Examples: Romans 16:16...The churches of Christ greet you. (NKJV), Acts 20:28 ...the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.(NKJV), 1 Corinthians 1:2...the church of God...sanctified in Christ Jesus.(NKJV).
Denominations take names other than those found in Scripture so as to identify the differences from their doctrine and that of the apostles' doctrine.
Jesus is the head of one church, His church. God did not establish multiple churches.
If all churches taught from the Bible and the Bible alone, then, denominational names would not  necessary.

SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION. REALLY?  BY STEVE FINNELL
Scripture is subject to interpretation. Is honesty and lack of pride a requirement in order to interpret Scripture accurately ?
Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (NKJV)
My interpretation of Mark 16:16 is, he who believes and is immersed in water will be saved.
-------------------------------------------
The following are some denominational interpretations of Mark 16:16.
1. He who believes is saved and shall be baptized as a testimony of their faith.
2. He who is baptized as an unbelieving infant will be forgiven of the guilt of Adam's sin as well as all sins they commit in the future, and they will be added to the body of Christ. [ Note: The only person guilty of Adam's sin, is Adam.]
3. He who is dead and is baptized by proxy will be forgiven.
4. Dead infants will be baptized and will have faith imputed to them by God so they will be saved. [Note: No infant dead or alive is guilty of sin.]
5. He who believes is saved by faith only and should be baptized because Jesus commanded baptism.
6. He who believes, believes because God forced him to believe, therefore he is saved by grace alone. Baptism is a work, therefore it is not essential for salvation.
7. He who believes is saved, however, he needs to be baptized in order to join a denominational church of his choice.
8. Belief and water baptism are not essential in order to be saved, because God will save all men.
9. Mark 16:16 does not apply because the church catechism of my denomination overrules all Scripture. Man-made creeds are more reliable than Scripture.
10. Mark 16:16 is invalid because the majority of those who claim Jesus as Savior do not believe it to be true.
11. He who believes and is baptized will be saved is a false statement, because there are many other ways to get heaven rather than Jesus.
Scripture is subject to interpretation, however, Scripture more likely to be misinterpreted.

JESUS DIED FOR ALL MEN   BY STEVE FINNELL
Jesus died for all men, however, all men will not be saved. God loves everyone, but salvation is conditional.
JESUS DIED FOR ALL MEN
1 Timothy 2:5-6.....the man Jesus Christ, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
Jesus paid the price of salvation for all men, not just for a selected few.
Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Him who was made a little lower than the angels, namely Jesus , because of the suffering death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
Jesus tasted death for everyone. Jesus did not die for a preselected few.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Jesus did not send the disciples to preach to only those that had been hand picked by God for salvation. The disciples were to preach to all the world. Jesus died for every person in the world  then and now.
THERE WILL BE ONLY A FEW WHO WILL BE SAVED.
Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Heaven will not be crowded.
SALVATION IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL, BUT IT IS CONDITIONAL.
Romans 1;16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Salvation is available to all who believe. Salvation is conditional.
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen."
All men who have heard the gospel have been called. The chosen are the ones who believe. It is a personal choice. Men have free will.
CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD.
Romans 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
How do men call on the name of the Lord? They call on His name by FAITH-REPENTANCE-CONFESSION-and WATER BAPTISM.
FAITH: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
REPENTANCE: Acts 3:19 Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 17 30-31 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring that all people everywhere should repent, 31......
All people who want to be saved need to repent of their unbelief and make the commitment to turn from their sinful lifestyle and turn toward God.
CONFESSION: Matthew 10:32 "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10.......Acts 37[And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may, And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."]
WATER BAPTISM: Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 3:20-21 ....safely through the water. 21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you---not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience---through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
JESUS DIED FOR ALL MEN, HOWEVER, ALL MEN WILL NOT BE SAVED BECAUSE SALVATION IS CONDITIONAL!
SALVATION IS A CHOICE. MEN HAVE THE FREE-WILL TO MAKE THAT CHOICE.
MEN CAN BE SAVED IN TWO HOURS MORE OR LESS. MEN JUST HAVE TO MEET GOD'S TERMS FOR PARDON.

Psalm 103
Psalm 103
Thanksgiving for God’s Goodness
Of David.
1 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits— 3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, 5 who satisfies you with good as long as you live[a] so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. 7 He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. 8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he keep his anger forever. 10 He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us. 13 As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. 14 For he knows how we were made; he remembers that we are dust.
15 As for mortals, their days are like grass; they flourish like a flower of the field; 16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. 17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, 18 to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.
19 The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, obedient to his spoken word. 21 Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will. 22 Bless the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul.

Praise for God’s Wonderful Works
1 Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. 2 Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. 3 Full of honor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds; the Lord is gracious and merciful. 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant. 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. 7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. 8 They are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. 9 He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it[a] have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.

God’s Wonders at the Exodus
1 When Israel went out from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, 2 Judah became God’s[a] sanctuary, Israel his dominion.
3 The sea looked and fled; Jordan turned back. 4 The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
5 Why is it, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back? 6 O mountains, that you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, 8 who turns the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of water.

Exodus 12:28-39
28 The Israelites went and did just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.
The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn
29 At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock. 30 Pharaoh arose in the night, he and all his officials and all the Egyptians; and there was a loud cry in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead. 31 Then he summoned Moses and Aaron in the night, and said, “Rise up, go away from my people, both you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord, as you said. 32 Take your flocks and your herds, as you said, and be gone. And bring a blessing on me too!”
The Exodus: From Rameses to Succoth
33 The Egyptians urged the people to hasten their departure from the land, for they said, “We shall all be dead.” 34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, with their kneading bowls wrapped up in their cloaks on their shoulders. 35 The Israelites had done as Moses told them; they had asked the Egyptians for jewelry of silver and gold, and for clothing, 36 and the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. And so they plundered the Egyptians.
37 The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children. 38 A mixed crowd also went up with them, and livestock in great numbers, both flocks and herds. 39 They baked unleavened cakes of the dough that they had brought out of Egypt; it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves.

1 Corinthians 15:12-28
The Resurrection of the Dead
12 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation has been in vain and your faith has been in vain. 15 We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified of God that he raised Christ—whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised. 17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have died[a] in Christ have perished. 19 If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died.[b] 21 For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being; 22 for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end,[c] when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, after he has destroyed every ruler and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God[d] has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “All things are put in subjection,” it is plain that this does not include the one who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to the one who put all things in subjection under him, so that God may be all in all.

Mark 16:9-20
The Longer Ending of Mark
Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
9 [[Now after he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10 She went out and told those who had been with him, while they were mourning and weeping. 11 But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.
Jesus Appears to Two Disciples
12 After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. 13 And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.
Jesus Commissions the Disciples
14 Later he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were sitting at the table; and he upbraided them for their lack of faith and stubbornness, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.[a] 15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news[b] to the whole creation. 16 The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes in their hands,[c] and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
The Ascension of Jesus
19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and proclaimed the good news everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that accompanied it.[d]]]

Born with a fallen human nature and tainted by original sin, children also have need of the new birth in Baptism to be freed from the power of darkness and brought into the realm of the freedom of the children of God, to which all men are called (1994, 1250, emp. added).
The Bible teaches that children do not bear the sin of their parents (Exodus 32:32-33; Deuteronomy 24:16; 2 Kings 14:6; 2 Chronicles 25:4; Jeremiah 31:30; Ezekiel 18:20). However, Catholics are quick to point out that David declared: “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,and in sin my mother conceived me” (Psalm 51:5). To understand this passage, we must keep in mind that the subject of Psalm 51 is David’s sin, not original sin. Consider the nouns and possessives David used to indicate that the sin which he was talking about was the sin he committed: “Blot out my transgression” (vs. 1); “Wash me thoroughly from myiniquity, and cleanse me from my sin” (vs. 2); “I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me” (vs. 3); “Against You, You only, have I sinned” (vs. 4); etc. There is not even the slightest allusion to some kind of original sin in the psalmist’s supplication. In fact, it was from his own sin and transgression that the psalmist desired to be freed.But, why did he refer to the moment in which he was formed in the womb of his mother? The psalmist could have been using hyperbole (cf. Psalm 58:3;
Colley
, 2004), or emphasizing the condition in which his mother conceived him.
