I started off headcanoning Jason as afrolatino because it's a popular headcanon and i'm afrolatina myself so i just went with it but now that i've read and watched a lot of his media instead off going almost entierly by fanon(the exception being the Utrh movie,which is what got me into DC),i see that it fits him like a glove and would actually improve his already amazing character.

The retcon of him being a happy go lucky and extremely openly kind kid as Robin to turn him into 'always being bad' could instead be an in-universe thing where he actually was like his original version but due to being a black boy,a lot of people insisted that he was 'dangerous' for being a sidekick and made him out to be mean when he was anything but that.On a lighter note,i love the idea of his curly hair texture pre-reboot being adapted into natural/kinky hair as some other fandoms do with other headcanons like this

The Joker killing him when he was only 15 and him taking justice into his own hands as Red Hood because of how much it traumatized him gains a different light if he's a poc,especially a dark skinned one.It's a very appealing concept for a superhero to me as a woc

And there's just something really nice about the thought of this tall and jacked afrolatino dude who's very snarky and a brutal vigilante but is also a huge nerd that is respectful of other minorities and always has been and who's got so many moments of kindness towards others,all of which turn him a very interesting and well-balanced character.Also:Him with shoulder length dreads(as well as still having green eyes but also dark brown skin and a strong nose)where a single lock of them is white from the Lazarus Pit effects♡Peak character design!!

A few final points:Latino food,slang and folklore are totally something he'd love,him and Duke bonding over being black Batboys(i mean,Duke's already Jason's favorite brother sooooo)and my specific etchnicity for him is dominican so he'd most definitely say that the reason red is his color is because it represents blood on his country's flag(nobody can tell wether he's joking or not)
