#bbg is so doomed by the narrative

This is a story with a pre-determined epilogue.
Gabriel’s end is written in stone, etched in flesh, lodged deeply in the very structure of the universe. Akin to the humans and the machines. As concrete as the passing sun and rising moon. As gravity. As tragedy.
He sees the epilogue with total comprehension from the moment he lays his eyes on the lies. He knows how the story will end.
Still, he walks into the inked lines, blades drawn, loyal to a fault. Because this is his nature. He is just, and he thinks to trade lives is not just, but he would gladly trade his own life to atone for his mistakes. Yet his life is not enough.
(The councils are unjust. To leave them be is to let them fester, feasting upon his death to propel the lies further still. And so, he slays the council for justice. He knows they cannot change in such little time. It is the only choice he could make.)
The narrative flows onwards, and he watches himself spill blood that is not his. Red like animals. The same shade between the dwellers of hell and the residents of heaven. The story reaches climax, he seals his fate, and there is nowhere else to go but fall.
And fall he did.
There is something horrendous about reading one’s own epilogue. It reads like a eulogy. It reads like a promise.
A quiet, soothing rumble of undeniable decay. Death approaches slowly once one becomes aware.
His feet are rooted in soil; his wings rotten. He looks downward and sees an image of himself in destruction. The feel of the rust crawls up, up, up, from the fingertips, sinking softly into the tender throat bared for a blade. A sour taste in the mouth mold into metallic. He sees the shape shifts in the horizon, and it smiles with teeth for miles. A ghastly thing, trailing behind but gaining speed, always gaining. He has so little left.
Time stretches to infinity, and pins him down bodily into a cruel sense of complete helplessness.
The story lays him in his coffin, tucks him in, and he accepts the ending of his tragedy.

PROPAGANDA (under the readmore)
Kaladin and Syl
they're so. they have a supernatural magical bond called the Nahel bond that literally links their souls. syl's life depends on kaladin's honor and kaladin's life rests on syl's support (bbg is So Fucked Up <3). they're constant companions and support each other through both of their grief and struggles (since they both have been through some Fucked Up Shit). they've defied literal gods (at least, the closest thing to one they had at the time) to stay together. and never at any point is their bond treated as anything other than deeply platonic and deeply valuable to both of them.
Kim and Joo
-Dokja uses Joonghyuk as a metric of attractiveness, ex. “This guy is two times as attractive as joonghyuk” “Joonghuyk is three times as pretty as her”. This is canon and something that actually happens throughout orv -Identity theft as love language. Need I say more? -Canonical relationship status is Companions, the term companion holds immensely significant value to YJH and this is not lost on KDJ -In this official art ( https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/shipping/images/0/05/Joongdok%27s_pov.png/revision/latest?cb=20220802214129 ) the reflections on their sword of each other from their points of view depict them as better looking than they do in their own points of view -This art by Blackbox (official artist) https://twitter.com/1l9l2aa8ucl0igj/status/1166323611222724608?s=46&t=FQ0bwCKWBVd2fJSDqTEmSA -They’re doomed by the narrative
(Out of context)Spoilers below, here are some beloved quotes in the orv fanbase:
“ We are companions separated by life and death.” -KDJ
“ Tell me, you fool. If I continue to regress, will I ever get to meet you again?” -YJH

I'm a vashwood shipper til the day I die, I think we all know this by now. they're just so doomed by the narrative bbgs I love them. but on the other hand,, I really like the idea of the whole adoption thing with them.
The idea of baby wolfwood finding tiny little sapling vash and nai in a cardboard box in the rain and then taking them home with them because livio has been talking about wanting a kitten for months now, but he's allergic so wolfwood had to keep saying no. but these two little critters look both hypoallergenic and pet-shaped to little baby wolfwood, so he hides them under his coat and smuggles them into the orphanage. he keeps them in a box under his bed and he and livio feed them stale Cheerios.
tiny vash and nai grow up into freaky all powerful eldritch beings who love wolfwood and livio so so much, they give the orphanage power and money and maybe nai still starts a cult but it's more of a pyramid scheme to raise funds for the orphanage so Nico can buy him more Cheerios.
alternatively, babies Nico and livio stumbling upon a fully grown vash bleeding out in a dumpster or half drowned in the mud or something equally dumb and dragging him home to miss Melanie to fix him up, and when vash wakes up he's absolutely fawning over the sweet little babies who were kind enough to save his useless ass but, oh no. the babies live here? the roof is falling apart! and there are more babies? and only poor miss Melanie to take care of them? this wont do! so he adopt the orphanage in the way stray cats adopt people. he never sticks around, but he'll occasionally leave them presents on the doorstep. and only a few of the presents were dead birds! whenever he's caught leaving money or food for them, he is immediately picked up by the scruff of his neck and dragged inside for some food and a bath. slowly domesticated by miss Melanie and the kids. eventually, nai gets wind of his brother crashing at the orphanage his cult owns, and starts showing up with presents too. suddenly miss Melanie is getting funding for the orphanage from the weird stray gunman and his unsettling sugar daddy brother. but it's putting food on the table so whatever. not to mention those two absolutely adore little Nico and livio.
