Laceys Games and Valle Verde are so criminally underrated it's a real shame. I consume a lot of digital horror/arg content but truthfully those two are the best I've seen besides classic Petscop. The way they weave their narratives and their aesthetics are truly phenomenal. One of the reasons Petscop got so big when it did is because there was nothing really like it. I think the same can be said for both Lacey and Valle Verde, I wish there were more people who appreciated just how insanely good they both are. But, I suppose, it is always fun to be "niche"

Ok I’ve got another DW x LP headcannon here, so stay with me.

Right let’s go to the episode ‘my valentine ghoul’. In this episode Negaduck tries to woo Morgana, in order to use her powers for his evil plans.

Through a series of events, Darkwing is struck with a love potion, which makes him fall in love with the first person he sees. Basically Darkwing falls in love with Negaduck.

Now you may be wondering, what does Launchpad have to do with all this, he’s not even in the episode??

Ok so, Darkwing, under the influence of the love potion calls Negaduck loads of nicknames like nega buddy, pal, chum etc. I do understand that these nicknames were a result of censorship, but still, hear me out.

The fact that he calls Negaduck all these nicknames under the influence of the love potion suggests that these are the types of nicknames that DW would use on the person he is truly in love with.

Right? Now who does DW use these nicknames for without the love potion??? LP!!! He constantly calls LP buddy, or pal. He always uses these nicknames, without any sort of prompts, it’s just natural to him.

Moral of the story is that, DW uses nicknames that he would use for the person he loves, for Launchpad.

Therefore DW is in love with LP. Case closed.

man, i’m not sure why i always imagined hooper lived a bit aways, but i was rewatching jaws last night and he probably just lives directly on the mainland from amity, huh?

we know he’s from “the oceanographic institute on the mainland”, and to me that phrasing implies it must be pretty close to be THE institute and not just AN institute. we also know that amity is either a smaller island right by martha’s vineyard or it just… straight up is martha’s vineyard (with a different name of course). based on this, hooper probably works for the woods hole oceanographic institute, and woods hole is directly on the mainland from martha’s vineyard! less then an hour ferry right between em! hooper could totally come down and spend weekends with the brodys and quint or he could probably even MOVE to amity and just have a moderately long commute every morning…

Man my prof made a comment during our crit this morning and it's still rubbing me the wrong way. (For context, our project was to be interactive with a touch screen table, and I did a drawing of a persons room that you could actually zoom into and look around and stuff.)

My prof seemed to really like it and be pretty impressed, but when I was talking abt how I wanted it to feel immersive and let you actually feel like you were physically in the space of the drawing, which is why it was actually zoomable and not just "click here to see the closeup", she made some comment abt making sure there were other ways to access it too- I don't remember the exact comment atp but it was smth abt people who don't have hands being able to still experience the work or smth. And like. I know this prof meant well and was genuinely trying to be accessible and considerate of different accessibility needs, which is a great thing!

But why Me specifically.

Everyone else' projects had the same issue, because we were all using the touch table which requires you have hands and good fine motor skills to use it. It's a touch screen. That's a limitation of the medium she wanted us to use. So why did she ONLY make that comment towards Me, the only (at least visibly) physically disabled person in the class.

Idk man. It felt so targeted and uncomfortable and I Know she meant it in a "I love your project and want you to consider making it more accessible so more people can see it" way, but it just felt So bad. Like again. Everyone had the same problem, but only the visibly disabled person was singled out for comments about it. Why.

after watching amelia im starting to understand that bobs burgers is written with like the expectation of respect towards marginalized people?? like discrimintation clearly exists in some form but the writing (and therefore bob and linda's parenting) makes it very clear that gene is fat and he's EXPECTED to be treated with respect, same with tina and being autistic like it isnt a question of if queer sex workers of color deserve respect thats demanded of the world that they live in and its almost never questioned, like with louise and linda's interaction louise said "i bet she never said 'ooh girls can do anything boys can do' cuz you know, sometimes when they say that it--" "it ends up... sounding like the opposite" "yeah! like you never said that to me" "it never came up" linda never told louise that girls can do anything that boys can do and that girls are strong and smart and brave bcuz she never grew up with an expectation of anything different, like discrimintation exists but it isn't mentioned bcuz they dont want to send the message that they should EVER be accepted or normalized or that anybody should not be treated with respect??? linda and bob never taught the kids anything but respect and love for themselves and people who were different so its just not really an idea in their world at least not explicitly
