I like to think that Derek did eventually meet the Pack, and that he hit it off with Clay once the mutual distrust of strangers wore off. That Clay would take him to museums, and encourage his academic pursuits.

Meanwhile, Chloe would meet Jaime and Eve, and she'd figure out the ropes of being a necromancer more, and they'd bond over the oddities of being a necromancer dating a werewolf together.

Tori would meet Savannah, who would help her learn to control and hone her powers, and with Paige and Lucas, get more involved in the larger spell-caster world, alongside Simon.

And as they integrate with the Interracial council, and they learn of the Edison Group - the Cortez Cabal, led by Lucas, pursues the St Cloud Cabal for their genetic manipulation, and they manage to shut it down, maybe even passing an inter-Cabal MOU (because Cabal bureaucracy ofc) about no genetic experiments on supernaturals - something Benicio probably would not bother with, but it's important to Lucas and Savannah (and thus Sean and Bryce), so ends up happening.

the cortez cabal is a mega crime organisation - but they have a LEGITIMATE business cover. i cant remember what name their business goes by ( the only book i specifically remember it being mentioned is living with the dead and i don’t have it on me rn) but i think it’s something like the Cortez Multinational? idk. but while working on nick’s bio, and the Sorrentino Family have a massive business ( ‘sorrentino industries international’ is what i’ve named it lol ) then there’s a very good chance that antonio sorrentino and benicio cortez have met and perhaps been business partners or business rivals without either one of them knowing the other was a werewolf/sorcerer ( tagging @livingprophecy for antonio reasons)

While everyone was beating the bushes for assassins and trying to save your partner’s life, I decided to do some shopping in Benicio’s closet. I have a nice pair of diamond cuff links in the car too.” Griffin scowled, as if not quite certain Karl was joking. When we got onto the elevator, he covered the panel as he entered the code, just in case.

Lucas would like to be remembered for his work with the Cortez-Winterbourne Investigations, helping supernaturals who need it most. He would like to be remembered for his work with the Interracial Council, once again helping supernaturals in need. He’d like to be remembered for being his own person, with his own life, and doing what he wanted to and thought was right.

But he knows that it is more likely that he will be remembered for being a CORTEZ. Benicio’s rebellious youngest son, born from an affair, and being the heir to the Cortez Cabal. Likely for also being a Sorcerer who married a Witch, but he doesn’t really care about being known for that.
