Most of the flow was in Benjamin's racquet thanks to his aggressive approach in an attempt to bring Adria off balance. From the baseline, going after Adria's forehand side was often the idea, resulting in his forehand rushes even when trying to paint his own lines. On the other hand, Adria had his chances when he tried to use the open space, but Benjamin came up with a more controlled approach using his power, resulting in his shot winners. The latter contributed to Benjamin's 7 opportunities to break, with 2 of them being converted.

Service game-wise, Adria might have scored 9 more aces than Benjamin. However, as thin as the margin looked, Benjamin still won 4% more points from his first serves while Adria could only win 41% of his points from the second serves. The 6 double faults, twice of Benjamin's, did not help Adria in handling the pressure points at all. Somehow, when these serves became rally-able, this is where Benjamin stepped in and tried to drive the rally in his favor.

Patrick Kypson awaits in the final, who defeated Eduardo Ribeiro 6-4, 7-6(4). While Kypson could also be tough in altitude clay situation here, just like in San Luis Potosi Challenger a few months back, it would be interesting to see how both players tried to maintain their pace and try to balance the baseline and the net to sustain their game, considering how the net helped Benjamin in some important situations. Should be an interesting follow to find out whoever of them wins their maiden Challenger title!

last day of sweeney revival on broadway 💈🪒 !!!

IM SO SAD ITS GOING AWAY :(. but i truly do love this show so much. i saw it for the first time ever a few weeks ago and it completely blew me away. everything about it was stunning and the acting was incredible. ive never loved the songs from a musical so much and ive never felt so inspired to write or even act in something! (even though im a crew member of the shows i do…) maria bilbao, daniel yearwood, sutton foster, joe locke, and SO many more were all incredible and im so thankful to have gotten the chance to see it. I truly do hope it does go on tour some point next year too !! (also hoping my school performs it because i would LOVEEEE that)

even if the show is gone i will still be sweeney posting :-)

B. Lock/R. Statham somehow delivered on return in the moments that mattered the most, most of which came from their important winners. This applied not only in the first set and the tie-breaker, where their down-the-line and baseline winners became the biggest determinant, but also the net game earlier in the first set when they thrived at the cost of Colin/Justin’s failed volley. As a result, despite Colin/Justin having a 33% break point conversion rate, B. Lock/R. Statham had 10 opportunities to break despite only converting 20% of them.

On the other hand, B. Lock/R. Statham’s service games appeared more stable in general. Complemented by their 4 aces, they stood out from their first serves by 12% (with a 76% winning percentage), while they mostly went after Justin/Colin’s second serves, who risked 4 double faults that resulted in the fading second serves winning percentage to 48%, 8% below B. Lock/R. Statham. That could be another league, but still a good lesson for both Justin and Colin moving forward with their balance.
