the uniforms of old, tarp and tyvek, offer little protection from the forces contained behind galena's gate, and yet they have been worn for centuries by the nuns who maintain the vault's inner seals and mechanisms.

no instrument is yet capable of accurately measuring the levels of radiation contained beyond the gate. rough estimations are instead calculated from the poisoned nun herself and the time she takes to expire.
