Ava’s birthday party 🥳 today was a ball, thanks to our dear friends and chosen family here in Japan 🇯🇵 The sense of community and love was overwhelming as everyone—even the kiddos—pitched in to finish setting up! Continuing on with the catch up 😎 On Saturday morning, we did a quick family photo op, snagged breakfast from 7-11 (note the pink-filled Sakura donut 🌸), then hit the slopes Myokosuginohara Ski Area 🏂 where we made some new friends! The ski area was AWESOME! No ice, only snow, not overcrowded, AND there was an 8.5 km run!!! 🏔 We had a great time, plus a bonus adventure when we took a route that signs probably advised again using, but we couldn't read 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Soooooo, we ended up trekking it back to the slopes, found a shrine on the way, and saw a pretty stream...plus, I totally hit my #Fitbit steps 😄 before we finished the day out with a tasty crepe ☺️ #cappsdojapan #roadtrip #furbaby #exploremore #adventuring #nagano #japan #snowboard #hittingtheslopes #myokosuginohara (at Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort)

Catching up from earlier this month... We made it to Nagano later that evening & checked into our 37-PERSON COTTAGE at Labo Land Kurohime in Shinano, Nojiri. I didn't realize I'd booked such a LARGE pet-friendly cottage 😂 The pricing for most lodging in Japan is based on the number of people, not necessarily specific to the size of the space. This awesome cottage ended up being just under $200 for the 2 nights we stayed with Zoe 🐶, and it was less than 15 minutes to the ski resort where we hit the slopes the next morning 🏔 #cappsdojapan #roadtrip #furbaby #exploremore #adventuring #nagano #japan (at ラボランドくろひめ)
