Does CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPEPIE’s TAMAPOP Music Video Reveal Future Tamagotchi Uni Characters?

Okay we love a mild conspiracy theory, but this one has us wondering. TAMAPOP by Japanese hip-hop group CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE reveal future Tamagotchi Uni characters? Hear us out on this one. The music video features member Chi-’s head in the center with Tamagotchi characters falling down around them. Now that we know downloadable characters can be added to the Tamagotchi Uni, our mind is racing!

The Tamagotchi Uni features 21 adult characters, and if you look carefully you will see some characters falling down were ones that were JUST introduced in the new Tama Portal feature, belonging to Very Berry Land, and LoveMelo Concert!

First, you can disregard CHAMELON LIME WHOOPIEPIE’s original character that Bandai designed modeled after Chi-.

This could be just a coincidence or intentional. Here’s our analysis, Ichigotchi and Ringotchi are featured and they are two characters from Very Berry Land. Both Lovelitchi and Melodytchi are featured and they are two characters from LoveMelo Concert. No characters that we spotted were from Tamamori Fashion Show.

There are a good deal of vintage characters, including Tarakotchi, Nyorotchi, Pochitchi, Hashizoutchi, Maskutchi, and Ginjirotchi. Then you’ve got some characters from the Tamagotchi Connection era including Furawatchi, Makiko, and Kikitchi.

Did Bandai partner with CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE and provide them these characters intentionally? Is this a glimpse into the future? Could we be in for a new location in the Tama Portal that features vintage characters and Tamagotchi Connection era characters? We shall see!

TAMAPOP Song to Air on J-Wave SONAR’S ROOM

How exciting is this? The artist CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE who wrote the song feature in the Tamagotchi Uni announcement video, you know the one that’s still in our heads, is going to be airing on a radio station nationwide in Japan!

J-Wave 81.3F FM radio will be airing the song TAMAPOP on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023. We will finally get to listen to the full TAMAPOP song as we have only heard a few seconds of it from the Tamagotchi Uni announcement video and a clip released on Twitter earlier this month.

It also looks like Bandai has partnered with CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE to develop a Tamagotchi character modeled after them!
