If you’re struggling for reading material during lockdown, then I can highly recommend this book by civil rights activist and Baptist minister Reverend Al Sharpton. It gives a unique insight into the struggles of black and ethnic minorities in America and what the Church has done and continues to do to combat prejudice and racism. It’s really frustrating to be classed as a key worker and not being able to go to work to do your bit to help in the battle against Coronavirus. Three months away from my work in funeral service and my work as a chaplaincy volunteer at the BHI. However there is a little light at the end of the tunnel.
